The NeighborhoodLocation, location, location. While it is a 40 minute drive into Traverse City, I am located just minutes from some of the best beaches, dunes and unspoiled views in the entire Midwest. All of the homes in this area are small family cottages, most of which are empty for a majority of the year. Escape the hustle and bustle of city life of here on the lake! Getting AroundNo public transit, great area for biking, however! Other Things to NoteCons/ Things to note No dishwasher or washing machine, it's all done the old fashioned way! No garbage disposal either, please be conscious of what goes into the sink. No cable or satellite TV. Apple TV (Netflix, etc.) only. No pets allowed, please. The neighbors are midway through a construction project. The builders start pretty early on the weekdays, but the noise is receeding as they move onto the interior. The lake out back (Little Platte) is good for fishing and filled with clean water, but the bottom is very mucky. Since it's also so shallow, I wouldn't recommend swimming here... But Lake Michigan is only 2.4 miles away! I will do my best to provide breakfast for my guests when I can (my world-famous loaded oatmeal :) but please plan to supply your own food for other meals. You're more than welcome to use my appliances though!
