The SpaceMy home is a modest New Zealand style cottage furnished with European furniture and decors. It is located in a valley away from traffic noise and has a million dollar view! On site is an outdoor bath ( surcharge for use) and plenty of space to chill out in. This is a place people come to to enjoy nature, tranquility and the sound of birds to wake to. Nearby is the Nelson Lakes National Park. Fishing, hiking, walks, 4WD, mountain biking, hang gliding and skiing in winter are a few of the activities on my doorstep. Within 1.5hrs drive are Nelson, Blenheim, Westport, Abel Tasman National Park, Wineries and Arts and Craft galleries. I love to be outside, read, paint, work in the garden and cook using home grown products. I am a Kiwi but have lived in Europe for over 20 years. I speak Dutch, German, Italian, French. I have come back to NZ to enjoy the outdoors and bring with me a touch of the European flair in hospotalilty and food. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use the lounge, kitchen and bathroom and any outdoor seating areas which are all shared spaces. As the closest cafe, restaurant is 15km's away, I am happy to cook a kiwi style dinner for $20.00 per person. Please request in advance. Interaction with GuestsAs much as guests like. I am a peoples person and so enjoy a good chat. I also have a licensed passenger vehicle for tours so if you want to get to know the area as a local and even go off the beaten track then feel free to ask. The NeighborhoodThere are no neighbours to be seen, just cows, sheep and nature. Down the road is a waterhole in the river. There is plenty of parking on site and the area is very safe. Getting AroundThe Intercity bus travels from Nelson to the West Coast and stops 10kms away. A shuttle bus also brings you from Nelson into St Arnaud. I am happy to pick you up at either place .However in order to enjoy the whole area a car is essential. Other Things to NoteThe bathroom has a shower and washbasin. It's tidy but not stylish. Being a 1930's cottage this is the next area that I want to renovate. I work in the summer as a tour/guide driver so I may not always be at home during your stay. I can let you know at the time of booking.

Triple Tui's log cabin is stunning inside and out, natural wood furnishings and the comfort of being totally self contained for short breaks or longer holiday stays. We are eco friendly and are totally off the grid, running our own hydro electricity and solar water heating, so our carbon footprint is very small. This does not mean, however, that we have skimped on comfort or style. If you love nature and the outdoors you will love it here with us. Come prepared for the peace and quiet of being surrounded by beautiful native NZ. Our Log Cabin backs on to Kahurangi National Park, it is in a secluded setting for complete privacy, and is set on a 50 acre working lifestyle farm with sheep. The Little Hope river runs through the property with plenty of swimming holes and stunning waterfalls. Bush and river walks for all levels of fitness. Near to great fly fishing spots - Steve is available to take you either fishing or deer/chamois hunting - inquire as to his great rates. Near to the best whitewater rafting in NZ, Nelson Lakes National Park for walking/tramping and there is horse riding just up the road. When we lived in central Auckland this is the exact place we would have wanted to get away to, we built it with this in mind. Only an hour south of Nelson, easily accessible and plenty to do in the area. You will not be disturbed by your cell phone or internet as there is no reception here, so relax and be prepared to unwind and discover how much you can love the country life.
