McClellanville's oldest home, The DuPre House, (ca. 1790). Totally renovated and fully-furnished fishing village cottage. Enjoy the large porches, all modern amenities, and quiet solitude. Floating dock on Jeremy Creek with short 200 yard transit to Intercoastal Waterway. You will think you have gone back in time to your Grandmother's house. McClellanville is world renowned for its local shrimp and oysters. Several restaurants and churches within walking distance in village. Charleston-short 30 minute drive away. The oldest house in McClellanville was actually built on Echaw Plantation, near Jamestown, SC. In 1861, the house was dismantled, and numbered timbers were floated down the Santee River and up Jeremy Creek to its present location where the house was re-assembled. Numbers are still visible on the timbers. The property on which the house sits was purchased by Dr. John Y. DuPre on 20 May, 1861 from Archibald James McClellan for the purchase price of $200. For an additional fee, golf can be arranged at one of South Carolina's most exclusive and private golf courses-20 minutes away. Owner is a member and can arrange tee times. Private club does not allow cash purchases by guests, so green fees will have to be added to rental fee. Guest green fees are currently $150 plus cart. (Prices subject to change.) The secret on McClellanville is getting out. You will think you have gone back 50 years in time. Several restaurants in the village. Relax-throttle back-walk through the village, take a bike ride to watch the shrimp boats come in. Recommend TW Graham's for local flavored seafood. Freshest seafood on the coast. You will not be disappointed. Several fishing charters nearby for in shore or off shore. Call Captain Richard at Cape Romain Marine-he's the best. Keywords: House

Less than an hour from Charleston, SC you can have your very own farm for your next gathering! Described by the locals as 'a farm built by Eddie Bauer' this 27 acre paradise seems shut off from the rest of the world and has all you will need to be comfortable and relax. To try and list all of the amenities is tough but imagine a kids camp for both adults and children. There is a barn with a wood burning stove, an outdoor fire pit with teak benches, a pond stocked with brim and bass, a 'western play town' movie set surrounding the pond with a hotel, saloon, jail and church (built for an independent film), a small boat (with lights!), a 160 foot zip line, a shooting range, golf clubs and a flag, walking and biking paths, an outdoor rainwater barrel gravity shower, and a full sized softball/ kickball field. There is enough indoor space between the 'Country Estate' (country trailer) and 'kids cottage' (one room playhouse), barn (barn), and bunkhouses to sleep 25, but many find it more fun to camp. We have had as many as 50 spend the weekend! Spread out as much as you like. The country estate is simple but has three bedrooms- a master with a queen-sized bed and jacuzzi tub, a guest room with a queen-sized bed, and a bunk room that sleeps four. There is also a pull-out couch and a separate cot. The kids cottage also has a small futon that always ends up with the little ones on it. There are three full baths, a full kitchen and a washer/ dryer. There is a nice gas station/ convenience store three miles away that even has a subway sandwich shop within, and is the perfect place to grab a quick bite, coffee, donuts, supplies, etc, but there is better shopping 15 miles away in moncks corner. Everything you need is included from linens to softball bats- come one, come all!
