Vacation in peaceful Silver Bay located 1/2 mile from the gorgeous lakefront campus of the YMCA. Our spacious Swiss Chalet rental (1344sq ft) is nestled among pine and birch trees and offers beautiful lakeside views of Northern Lake George. This is a first floor rental of a very large two family Swiss Chalet which is beautifully furnished and is complete with private screened in porch entrance, 3 Bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen open to dining room, living room and private deck that offers you lake, mountain and island views. We provide all bed linens and ask that you please bring your own bath and beach towels. You will find convenient parking next to house entrance for TWO cars - Additional cars cannot be accommodated. We prefer to rent to a single family unit with a maximum of 2 adults and 2-4 children. No swimming is permitted from our premises. A list of free local beaches with playgrounds are listed below under Hague and Bolton Landing. Private beaches are available with membership only through Silver Bay YMCA.

Silver Bay YMCA - We highly recommend a weekly membership to Silver Bay's YMCA where you will enjoy boating, a safe, life-guarded beach,concerts,sailing, archery, arts/crafts,kid-friendly programs, and much more! (located 1/2 mile down the road and within walking distance).
The quaint town of Hague-on-Lake George - only 4 miles north you will find a beautiful large, sandy, shallow beach with lifeguard, playground and picnic area as well as near-by shopping, restaurants and short hiking trail to views of waterfalls. Enjoy free concerts every Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 10PM in the Town Park.
Town of Ticonderoga - Located 20 minutes north. Enjoy a picnic by beautiful La Chute Waterfalls complete with family playground and covered walking bridge. Ticonderoga offers a rich education in 18th century history. Ticonderoga's significant military role in our nation's early history remains a vital component of the community, with the Fort Ticonderoga historic landmark drawing around 100,000 visitors annually.

Ticonderoga to Vermont - Via Crown Point Bridge (free) or take a Ferry ride ($8 per car/trip): The Ticonderoga Ferry provides historic, scenic seven-minute daytime crossings on Lake Champlain between Ticonderoga, New York and Shoreham, Vermont. Connecting the Lake George and Adirondack regions of New York, with the Middlebury and central Green Mountain areas of Vermont. Located at 4831 VT Rte 74 just off of NY Rte 22 in Ticonderoga, New York and off of VT Rte 22A via VT Rte 73 in Orwell or VT Rte 74 in Shoreham, Vermont. Bolton Landing, Lake George - Within a short 20 minute drive you will find yourself in the beautiful resort town of Bolton Landing, home of The Sagamore. Enjoy dining and shopping in the many quaint shops dotted along the main road of Route 9. Here you will also find 2 public beaches with playground and spectacular views of Lake George. Enjoy free concerts every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm and free movies every Wednesday evenings at 8:30 at Rogers Park Rain Location, Town Hall.
Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course - Located 20 minutes south you will find a tree-top adventure course set in the heights of the Adirondack forest. Explore nature through outrageous obstacles and challenges with giant zip line, suspended cable bridges, swinging surprises, Tarzan jumps, nets and ladders.
