Guest Accessthere is a washer and dryer dishwasher all available plus dishwasher and gas stove and refrigerator Interaction with GuestsFrom past experiences with.guest we find out what the interests and goals are. i work in Boston and know most areas to visit all the historical areas in town plus i do a lot of biking in the area your a bikeride away from forts, lighthouses, waterfalls, great foliage this time of year just ask. The SpaceLooking for a place to crash for just a couple nights? Need to escape from your current living situation for the summer? Whether you are looking for 1 night or 60 nights, I can accommodate your needs. I am located 1 block from the beach in a 4 bedroom, 1.5 bath house in Hull, MA. I have a private room to rent that has a twin bed. We would share the bathroom, but there is also a half bath downstairs. I have a full kitchen -- fridge, gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, espresso & coffee maker -- as well as an outdoor gas grill that you are welcome to use any and all of during your stay. I have a washer & dryer on the premises, as well as an indoor porch and outdoor deck (should you opt for the more green method of clothes drying). I also have basic cable & WiFi, that you could use with the ultra secret password (ha!). For the more musically inclined, I have a piano that you are welcome to jam on. I have a seven year old boy. So kids are welcome. I'm a 20-minute boat ride away from Boston, the ideal mode of transportation in the summer. You can also grab the commuter train (I'm 10 minutes away by car) or simply drive to the city (45/60 min, if you don't go during rush hour). I have a plethora of brochures of museums (Science Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, etc), tourist attractions (Duck Boats & Swan Boats rock!), whale watch trips (my summer favorite), and public transportation schedules. Oh, and maps. (I'm still a hard copy kinda gal at heart, especially where maps are concerned.) I'm 2 blocks from a convenient store/liquor store and local bars. I'm about 1 mile from the local market/pharmacy/bakery/shops/bank. Local restaurants, many of which offer live music, are about 1.5 miles away (and the really good ones in town are about 2 miles down "The Avenue"). If you are interested, I'd be happy to supply a bicycle if you'd rather peddle than walk. And there is also a local bus. Speaking of transportation, if you do have a car there is on street parking for which you would need a parking sticker during the summer months ($14). I would also be happy to arrange a kayaking trip, should you be interested. As Hull is situated between the ocean and a bay, it is an ideal location for kayaking (my other summer favorite). Personally, I love to pack a picnic and paddle to World's End, a beautiful peninsula that is on the other side of the bay (about a 20-30 minute trip, depending on the tides). If you are traveling with kids, there is mini-golf, a carousel, an arcade, and of course, the beach! Also, depending on your timing, there is a carnival that comes to town every summer -- hoo hoo! Last but most definitely not least, for every month you book with me, I offer a half-price 1-hour Reiki session (retail value $70; half price is $35). Never tried Reiki? Then you are in for a treat! Reiki is ancient Japanese energy work that de-stresses and rejuvenates, relieving both physical and emotional aches and pains. Picture yourself beaching it all day enjoying the sun & surf and unwinding with a Reiki session in the evening. Aaaaah! For more info about Reiki, check out (website hidden) PS-I am currently repainting the guest room; photos are coming soon! Guest AccessAs a guest, you will have access to the whole house except for the other three bedrooms. You will have access to both bathrooms, the kitchen, the living room, the porch, and the washer/dryer downstairs. There is on street parking, but you will need to buy a parking sticker ($14). Interaction with GuestsIdeally, I love to interact with the guests. Most of the roommates I've met through AirBnB have been an utter joy. However, if one has an attitude of entitlement, judgment, or downright rudeness, I will not seek out your company. (Uh, who would???) I don't anticipate sharing meals with roommates, unless it's a special occasion and I invite you to join the soiree (and vice versa). I deeply value my privacy, as well as the privacy of others. The NeighborhoodThe beach is 1 block away! What's more to love??! But on top of that, Hull is one of the warmest, most welcoming places I've lived in quite some time. I feel a deep sense of community here -- from the neighbors to the postal workers to the owners of the local businesses. Getting AroundUuhhh... This is one area Hull is lacking. While there is a plethora of transportation options to commute to and from Boston, GETTING to those transportation modes can be challenging without a car. For example, there is a boat that will get you to Boston in about 20 minutes, but you need a car to get to the boat. Same with the commuter rail or subway. While there is a local public bus that does take you to the boat or commuter rail, its schedule isn't the most convenient. I HIGHLY recommend a car (or at the very least a bike) if you are planning on staying in Hull for any length of time.

The SpaceThe cozy bedroom has 1 twin bed and comfortably accommodates 1 person. There is a ceiling fan and central heating and AC. (My desk/office is also in the bedroom across from the bed but I only use that area when I do not have guests.) The bathroom is brand new and includes a full bath tub and shower. I provide bedding linens and bath towels. Extra blankets are available as well. Guest AccessFree parking, washer/dryer in apt, refrigerator, dishwasher. Kitchen and living room are shared with me (and my cat). Guests are welcome to cook in the kitchen. Guests are welcome to borrow my beach chairs and beach umbrella. Interaction with GuestsVariable depending on my schedule, but I am happy to chat, answer questions about things to do in the area, etc... The NeighborhoodQuiet neighborhood. The beach is at the end of the street (less than a 5 minute walk). The gas station, grocery store, post office, pharmacy, and other establishments are at the other end of the street (5-10 minute walk). My apartment is less than a mile away from the vibrant commercial beach community, including a historically preserved carousel, arcades, clubs with live music, and wonderful restaurants. It is also 2 miles away from ferries to Boston and to the Boston Harbor Islands National Parks, as well as a commuter train to South Station in Boston. Getting AroundThere is a ferry that runs from Logan Airport and Boston's Long Wharf to Hull. My house is 4 miles from the ferry dock. There is a summer schedule for weekdays and weekends, and you can also take the ferry to visit the Boston Harbor Islands. Hull is a very bike friendly town, with very few hills, and lots to see. There is also a bus that runs through town regularly and will pick you up anywhere along Nantasket Ave and drop you where you want to go, including neighboring Hingham. I am always happy to pick guests up at the dock or at the train station if I'm not working. Other Things to NoteMy cat is hypoallergenic so he does not usually cause the same allergic reaction to allergy sufferers that other cats do.

The SpaceEnjoy the peacefulness of one of the most beautiful places to live in a town noted for its views. Your bedroom is large and comfortable. Guest AccessShare our home, which includes a pleasant sitting room and kitchen and a porch on the bay. Washing machine. Clothes line for clothes dried by a sea breeze. WiFi. Piano. Interaction with GuestsWe respect guests' privacy. Michael and I enjoy dinner as a private time together. We also enjoy getting to know people and occasionally sharing meals, particularly with guests who stay a longer while. We are happy to share information about our town. We have two housemates. A young man has the room off the hallway opposite your bedroom door. He is in his early fifties, quiet, and willing to help you with carrying bags. He is blind and smart. His bedroom has its own private bathroom. Our other housemate is a young woman also in her early fifties whose room in downstairs off the kitchen. She uses the downstairs bathroom and also the shower in your bathroom. The NeighborhoodHull is a very special place to live. Walk on the three mile long sandy beach or along streets and pebbly beaches on the bay side. Great hiking places nearby. Hull is known for its restaurants, beach, Carousel, Lifesaving Museum, kayaking and rowing. At the same time Hull is a 25-minute ferry ride from Boston and all it has to offer. Getting AroundA nearby bus can take you to the ferry, train or the bus to transit. All go to Boston and connect to Logan Airport terminals. (The ferry is the easiest. Ferry runs daily in summer, weekdays rest of the year. Often we are available to pick you up or take you to the ferry. People on the ferry are also happy to give you a ride.) Some guests have enjoyed the walk to the bus in the neighboring town of Hingham. Our property includes parking. Other Things to NoteIt is quiet here. Depending on the season and weather and whether your windows are open, you may hear birds, the wind in the trees and the sounds of the harbor, which include airplanes arriving at Logan Airport, rigging on moored sailboats, and occasional ship and ferry horns. We are happy to have guests who would like to stay with us for a month. We are thinking someone might like to be here for several months or a year.
