The Space Your bedroom is across the hall from ours with your bathroom next door. We have a comfortable living and dining room area that you are welcome to share with us. You can also use our refrigerator and help yourselves to tea or fruit. Guest AccessWe have wireless internet service in our home. In the town of Richmond ( located about 8 miles from us) there are a few nice restaurants and a grocery store; and Burlington is only a 30 minute drive from us. We love serving breakfast to our guests; or leaving some fruit and cereal out in the morning that you could help yourselves to - whichever you prefer. No cell service from our home. Interaction with GuestsIf you are here on the weekend there would probably be a fair amount of interaction - especially in the common areas of the house. We enjoy talking to our guests - but, if you would like some privacy we will respect that. The NeighborhoodThere are a lot of beautiful roads to walk on in our neighborhood. We are on a dead end road in the woods - so, it is very quiet. Only about 3 miles to the trail head of Camel's Hump mountain; and 1.5 miles to the village of Huntington. Other Things to NoteI AM NOT ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE LAST MINUTE RESERVATION REQUESTS. PLEASE ALLOW 2-3 DAYS NOTICE BEFORE THE DATE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ARRIVE. THANK YOU.

The SpaceThe perfect spot to get away from it all. True peace and tranquility await. Think hot tub under the stars, hammock under the pines, not a house in sight. Add comfy linens and wifi and dream baby dream. Woodstove. Hot Tub. Wifi. Peace. As often as necessary. You're on your own unless you need something. Then I am on it. Peaceful. Farmers and artists. You need a car here. Guest AccessGreat kitchen, wifi, hot tub, Apple TV, stars, fresh air, pine scented breezes, hammock, BBQ, wood stove, 2 decks. Interaction with GuestsHome is set up as self-servicing (with cleaner coming before and after you). You won't see a soul. Perfect for lovers of privacy, peace and quiet. The NeighborhoodOrganic, mountains, fresh air, nice people, skiing of all kinds, hiking, waterfalls... Getting AroundYou need a car. In winter - 4WD or good snow tires strongly recommended. Other Things to NoteNice and easy space - not high end, but quality bed linens and well equipped space for relaxation. Not a condo! The opposite of a condo. Think country - which means you will probably see a spider.

As a result of this, we ask that you refrain from large file uploads or downloads during your stay. Because several guests may be using the internet at the same time, this will ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Experience contemporary living in a beautiful Vermont country setting. The Fielder Farm offers a unique and stunning Vermont vacation rental home in the heart of the Green Mountains. Relax in our post-and-beam, monitor barn home. Everything you need to make our home your home is provided. Let the gracious living area and professionally equipped kitchen inspire the host in you as you invite family and friends to enjoy a sunset from the second floor windows or take a long soak in the hot tub after a day of your favorite winter activity. On 230 acres, the Farm has its own backcountry trails, a sledding hill and with a little shoveling the pond becomes your own personal ice rink. Access to the Catamount Trail is right out your door. Snowshoe to the top of Little Baldie then ride your board or skis home. The highlight of the lower farm is the Pond. Surrounded by acres of maintained lawn, the Pond is the heart and spirit of the Fielder Farm. It provides an unlimited source of entertainment throughout the year and attracts even the most reticent of visitors. The water is deep, clear and irresistible. Stone steps and rocky outcrops make entering and exiting the water easy and pleasant in the heat of summer and getting on and off the ice hassle free with your skates in the winter. Guests enter the Barn on the ground floor through the Mud Room featuring a native slate floor, dozens of cubbies in a variety of sizes and ample wall space covered with hooks. No matter the season every guest will find more than enough space to stow personal gear. As you climb the stairs to the second floor Living space your attention is immediately drawn up the custom post and beam frame to the arching bridge and Monitor ceiling 25 feet above. A half a dozen windows along the eastern wall offer a brilliant view of the pond, lower pasture and mountains beyond and fill the space with light throughout the day all year long. This light is the perfect complement to the natural finish on the heart pine floors. The thoughtful arrangement and open design of the second floor living space allows a number of activities to carry on harmoniously. Paying close attention to the details can make a big difference when it comes to using a kitchen day-to-day. The owners of the Barn are keen chefs who spent months cooking in this kitchen. The Kitchen combines elegance and functionality, blending Vermont granite and butcher block counter tops, heart pine floors with stainless steel appliances and wood cabinets. The social space encourages casual interaction, and provides a bird’s eye view of the meadow and stream below. The Kitchen is open to the Dining area and the view beyond. The extendable table allows seating for 10 with room for two more at the kitchen island. Glass doors behind the dinning table open onto the spacious deck making the gas grill convenient to the kitchen all year long. It is also the perfect platform for the 6 person hot tub. Two bedrooms with similar appointments off the second floor living space make sharing the Barn uncomplicated. The Loft bedrooms are accessible by a modified ship’s ladder. Each Loft has 3 built-in twin beds, a walk-in closet and plenty of built–in drawer and floor space.
