The SpaceThe Boat House, situated in Mamora Bay, Antigua, is a substantial seven bedroom property comfortably accommodating up to 12 adults and 2 infants. THE BOAT HOUSE IS AIMED AT FAMILY HOLIDAYS. Situated directly on the ocean with breath taking views, in stunning Mamora Bay, this beautiful property offers a great value luxury holiday. The property benefits from a generous pool and pool deck, private spit ,two small private beaches, balconies, stunning views, a secluded setting, luxurious furnishings and security shutters. Air conditioning is not even considered here as this house beautifully captures the cooling sea breeze. This constant breeze also means this spot is virtually mosquito free! Only in July and August do you get some still days where the mosquitoes can be a problem. A 4x4 vehicle is necessary to get to and from the house as the house is down a 1.2 mile unmade up road. Many families live down this road so you are never away from life, but the location leads to peace and tranquility for guests. As one guest put in a review ' the road is a bit rickety but adds to the getaway feel of the place'. The house is close to English Harbour, Falmouth Harbour and Nelson's Dockyard with all the shops and restaurants on offer, yet far enough away to avoid all the noise associated with the bustle and nightlife of these areas.Set over three floors the accommodation is very generous and flexible and is easily suited to any group. The Upper two floors comprise four large double bedrooms (one with additional single bed), one single bedroom (with additional cot bed), four en-suites and two separate WCs. There is a complete kitchen on each floor with large living and dining areas, and generous outside decks. The lower ground sea level apartment comprises one en-suite double bedroom, kitchen and living room with a single bed, and is ideal for independent group members, teenagers or staff. The Boat House is beautifully presented with contemporary and stylish furniture and is tastefully decorated throughout. Full Wi-Fi and Dvd are connected. Absolutely everything one would expect for a first class holiday in a truly unique position is provided for. There is even fabulous fishing to be had off of the private sixty-foot spit. Both beaches offer calm warm waters and secluded bathing. The atmosphere at The Boat House gives an unrivalled feeling of total tranquillity and relaxation. Sitting in an acre of fenced land the house has its own landscaped gardens with beautiful palm trees, and is fully equipped with electric shutters. Mobile phone and 4G Wi-Fi signals are reasonable here and an impressive 37,000 gallon water catchment tank supplies the house it's water. Solar panels power the hot water and add to the mains electricity. A generator is supplied with the property as sometimes there are power outages. The house faces the famous world- class resort, St James' Club, which is directly across the bay . This holiday location truly is second to none, hence attracting those with discerning taste and the highest of expectations, we guess that's why our closest neighbours include Eric Clapton and Timothy Dalton! The house also recently appeared on the UK's X Factor! For keen Sailors with access to a boat there is a concreted driveway all the way down to the spit for easy access to the waterfront. The house has its own boat house for storing a sail boat or tender. Please be aware if you are a group proposing to come for a sailing week or carnival please enquire first. Our standard damage deposit rates may not apply. We also have beautiful properties in the UK near Longleat and Bath. Please also note the wifi is prepaid at 40gb per visit. If you need more, GBs can be purchased prior to your trip. Guest AccessAll the nightlife of Falmouth and English Harbours are just a few minutes away by car/4x4. Please contact TITI car rentals to book your 4x4 and arrange your transfer to and from the airport. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to tell guests all about the house. After all I project managed and built it!! Research reviews-The Boat House Mamora Bay on major search engines. The NeighborhoodThe views. The breeze. The sea. The close proximity of the Harbours and Nelsons Dockyard. The unmade road to the house requires guests to hire a 4x4. One cannot rely on taxis to go to and from the house as permanent transport. The road can be bumpy after the rainy season but adds to the get away charm of the holiday! Also please note that the island is sometimes subject to powercuts. This is why we have a generator. The wifi also is sometimes off air. Antigua is an emerging country so please excuse some of its shortcomings. Getting AroundYou will need a 4x4 which is easy to hire as the house sits down a 1 mile unmade up road which can be bumpy after the rainy season. SEE TITI CAR RENTALS ON SEARCH ENGINES FOR RATES

Interaction with GuestsI visit Antigua during Christmas time and New Years every year. The NeighborhoodBEACHES Perched on a hillside overlooking Antigua's beautiful southeastern coast, St. James's Club offers two idyllic white-sand beaches with very different personalities - the peaceful shores of Mamora Bay and the exciting surf of Coco Beach. Mamora Bay: Guests can opt to relax or play, with a wide range of non-motorized water sports at their disposal, all free to guests, on Mamora Bay's beautiful swathe of white sand fringed by palm trees that cast cooling, deep blue shade. Here you will enjoy the views of our lovely, Mediterranean-style villas that dot the verdant hillside, while boats and brightly colored catamarans quietly bob at anchor in the warm Caribbean waters. Coco Beach: At St. James's Club, a green promontory marks the dividing line between Atlantic and Caribbean, and on the Atlantic side you'll find yourself on lovely Coco Beach. Waves and whitecaps meet the shores our second sweeping beach, perfect for tanning or frolicking in the invigorating ocean waters. Had enough sun? No problem. Take refuge in the cool breezes that play among the many swaying palm trees carefully planted here for your enjoyment. POOLS It's always cool by the pool, so St. James's Club guests can chill out in a new location anytime they like: Each of the resort's six pools has its own distinctive personality. Reef Deck Pool: The inviting main pool is centrally located just off our Rainbow Garden restaurant, with a wrap-around glass wind screen; it offers its own Reef Deck Bar and a friendly atmosphere, suited to those who want to cool off or mix and mingle. Children's Pool: The children's pool is a splashy gathering spot for kids 12 and under. Kids can frolic in safety while their parents relax nearby in a chaise lounge. Tiered Pool: Tucked into its own little hillside corner, our three-tier Tranquility Pool is just the spot for a peaceful dip or a poolside snooze - it's for adults only. Coco's Pool: The fourth pool, a place to lounge or take a post-meal dip, it is adjacent to Coco Beach Restaurant & Bar. Two new pools are set within the new Royal Suite, featuring beautiful waterfall and landscaping. Beyond St. James's own beaches and pools, you can fill your vacation - or your entire annual calendar - with new beaches to explore. With some 365 beaches to choose from on Antigua, there's a new beach to visit every day! Closer to the resort, some south coast beach favorites include Frye's Bay, Darkwood Beach, and the beaches near Johnson's Point and Rendezvous Bay. Farther afield, Half Moon Bay and Dickenson's Beach are among tourist and local favorites. The late Princess Diana counted the beaches of nearby Barbuda - and one in particular - among her favorites. Even commoners can hop on a ferry to check out the beautiful expanses of pink sand that so struck her royal fancy. Getting AroundThere are cabs that can take you to and from the resort. There are also rental cars on the island. Getting around the resort is easy as everything is nearby, or you can call a golf cart to pick you up and take you to your next fun activity! Other Things to NoteSwim, Dive & Snorkel When you visit the St. James's Club, exploring the undersea world is easy - just pick a snorkel and fins from our onsite Watersports Center and dive right in! Check out the vibrant array of sea life awaiting right offshore in azure Mamora Bay. All of your equipment and instruction are complimentary during your stay. In the clear, warm waters that surround St. James's Club, it's easy to pick up a snorkel and fins and get acquainted with some of more than 70 species of colorful fish, which make their home off the coast of Antigua. Antigua and its sister island, Barbuda, both are surrounded by coral reefs, walls and shipwrecks, and sea life is plentiful, so adventurous spirits can make the most of their vacation by checking out the wide range of dive sites available here. Dive depths are relatively shallow, ranging from 25 to 80 feet, with some deeper sites around 180 feet. Those who'd like to visit some of the 20 nearby dive sites or take a lesson can do so with Mamora Dive Center. The nearby dive shop picks up guests on site and can arrange one- or two-tank dives. Especially popular are excursions to Cades Reef, part of which is now protected by Antigua's underwater park. With shallow depths of only 30 to 50 feet, and clear warm water, the reef supports a wide array of colorful sea life. You'll be fascinated by the wreck of the Andes, a three-masted merchant ship which sank bow-first after a dramatic onboard conflagration in June 1905. A popular shallow-water dive, the Andes sits at 30-foot depths in nearby Deep Bay. Equipment rentals are included in the cost of any lesson or excursion. The southern and eastern coasts of Antigua are considered to offer the most consistent diving. for more advanced divers, the ledge of Sunken Rock off the island's southern coast is a popular site, with a ledge at 30 feet that plummets to 150 feet, occupied by a welcoming committee of stingrays and barracuda. Nearby, the island of Barbuda offers diving among many relatively unexplored wrecks. Because dive facilities are more limited on Barbuda, it's best to arrange in advance for transportation of diving gear by plane when planning a dive excursion from its shores. Mamora Bay Divers - Dive Shop The Mamora Bay Divers Dive Shop is a locally owned company of experienced PADI certified international divers located at the St. James's Club providing a full service dive shop. Our open water dive instructor, Linda Swann is our multilingual certified PADI Dive instructor, she offers over 15 years of experience with ove 10,000 dives under her belt. Linda has been diving Antigua's best dive sites and surrounding waters for over 5 years. Be sure to pick up a brochure for complete details and pricing. Full PADI certification Daily 2 tank dives 3 and 5 Day Packages Retail Outlet Dive Equipment Hire Tank Fills Fully Fitted Dive Boat Advanced Dive Courses Please note Dive shop is closed on Saturdays. SURFING & WATERCRAFT Adventure and challenges await on the beach at Mamora Bay, for those who’d like to try their hand at windsurfing, sailing or kayaking - lessons and equipment are complimentary for guests during their stay at St. James’s Club. Paddling a kayak is smooth sailing on Mamora Bay, but if you’d like more of a workout, take your kayak to Coco Beach, right here at the resort. New windsurfers will find the calm, warm waters of Mamora Bay are a perfect location to learn the sport. If you’re more of a spectator, be sure to check the dates for the annual Antigua Winter Windsurfing Competition, which brings top surfers, and slews of tourists and locals alike to Lord Nelson’s Beach in mid-winter each year for exciting action. If you’d prefer to sail away, just for the day or for a longer excursion, St. James’s Club has the resources to arrange exclusive, private yacht charters that cater to your group’s specific needs and interests. Crewed vessels take care of everything from food and beverage to leading snorkeling journeys - so you and your party can relax and explore all that Antigua has to offer. St. James’s Club will arrange customized excursions aboard the 50-foot yachts Jabberwocky and Sentio, the 52-foot catamaran Tiami or the Ivy, a picturesque 47-foot Wellington ketch. MARINA & CATAMARAN TOURS It is our pleasure to invite you to check out our exclusive fleet and jump onboard one of our vessels direct from the resort, saving you the expensive taxi fare and ensuring that you experience the waters in the best vessels, with our wonderful crew. Captain Anderson and his knowledgeable crew are onboard to ensure that you have a safe, enjoyable & exciting exploration into the wonders of Antigua! TENNIS CENTER Tucked into a quiet corner of the The Club area of St. James’s Club & Villas is the Tennis Center, with four hard courts lighted for night play. For those who’d like a few pointers while on vacation, Bennett, our onsite pro, will be happy to put a new spin on your game with private lessons, by appointment, for an added fee. BILLIARDS CENTER The adjacent, tented Billiards Center allows guests to enjoy water views, fresh breezes and a great game of pool or ping pong, while never stepping far from the beach! The center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. GOLF For an additional fee, golfers can perfect their strokes at two 18-hole courses. The Cedar Valley Golf Course, designed by Ralph Aldridge, is an 18-hole, 6,157 yard, par-70 course with beautiful greens and sweeping views of the surrounding hilltops and the Caribbean sea. The 5,587 yard, par-71 Karl Litton-designed Jolly Harbor Golf Club course offers challenging play and a lovely setting, with seven lakes and hilly fairways surrounded by tropical greenery. After your game, there is excellent shopping nearby, as well as several beaches. FITNESS CENTER The seaside gym, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out at the sea, provides an inspiring setting for workouts. Cybex cardio equipment and free weights are available. The gym is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. KIDZ CLUB The St James’s Club Kidz Club is situated in the heart of the resort overlooking Coco’s Beach, purpose built with a fenced in play area. There is also a covered games area located next to the main pool. We accept children ages 4 to 11, providing that they are potty trained. Parents are welcome to bring children who are not potty trained, but have to remain with them. In addition parents with babies are free to use the facility and utilize the toys, movies and games. SPECIAL EVENTS St. James's Club & Villas offers a variety of activities for guests in the resort, but there are plenty of activities to venture out on your own, explore or participate in Antigua’s annual events.

The SpaceA stunning, treehouse-type setting with a king size bed and verandah overlooking the Antigua Yacht Club Marina. There is a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, and kitchen sink and a bathroom with hot shower.... The cottage is settled into the hillside, and the surrounding gardens are lush with fruit trees and tropical flowers. You can sit and have a cup of coffee in the mornings and feed the birds as they come and visit you on your open verandah. One of five guest cottages on the property, Bird House is one of the more expensive cottages on the property, along with Cleopatras, because both have hot water showers, and Bird House is located all by itself far away from the other houses in its own building. Bird House is located highest up on the hillside, so it has the most steps, and perhaps the least internet, but it has the most secluded environment, and the best view. It has a fully private kitchen and private entrance way. Pineapple House is a great place to catch up on reading and writing. People who stay here meet people, both within the compound of Pineapple itself and at bars along Dockyard Drive. Pineapple House caters to the crew off the yachts, who like to take time off between charters, and AirBNB guests. During regattas, sailors off the racing yachts prefer to stay at Pineapple House. People dress up at night and dance the night away at music clubs, where bands are known for their great guitarists and singers. Pigeon Point beach is a five minute walk, where there is more than one beach bar. English Harbour offers a safe, trendy neighborhood, where excellent Italian and French restaurants are within walking distance. Antigua offers some absolutely stunning, white, sandy beaches and is one beautiful, friendly, safe island. We offer all manner of things to do once you get here. Guest AccessPlease feel free to walk around the gardens and join us in the main house for sundowners at sunset.... There’s a lounge in the main house, where you can surf the web (if not in your private cottage), and a little gazebo next to the main house gets good internet reception as well, although the light switch in the main house has to be on for the electric outlet to work. Though we prefer not to do guest laundry, due to water scarcity, we do have laundry facilities on property for a small fee. The garden is for everybody to enjoy with guava trees, mango trees, banana trees, and lots of tropical flowers. Interaction with GuestsI am Libby Nicholson, born and raised in Antigua and owner-operator of Pineapple House since 1999. Color, design, and people are my passion. Pineapple House is a friendly atmosphere property, where people arrive as guests and leave as family. The mix of international people on the property makes it personal, as this is a small Guest House. I have a plethora of island information to share with you. If you find activities or restaurants on the island that I have missed or do not know about, please share your experiences with us, as we are always interested to learn more about our beautiful island! We have the house phone for making reservations, and taxis are a moment away... We recommend that you order any hire cars online before you arrive as it is less expensive, and you are guaranteed the car style of your choice. I and my staff are on the property full time; we are here for you anytime. The NeighborhoodEnglish Harbour is the heart of the Caribbean yachting industry. Home to historic Nelson's Dockyard, an 18th century British naval dockyard, it is where Admiral Horatio Nelson refitted his Ships of the Line from 1784 to 1787. Today it is home to enormous Super Yachts, arriving from Europe from December to May. The two marinas where they berth is right under our view! Antigua Yacht Club is located across the street from Pineapple.... It hosts racing regattas.... Upstairs there is a really fun sushi bar; downstairs a restaurant, open to the public that hosts great rock bands some evenings. Out on the dock there are more snack bars and an outdoor seating area that caters to all the shops. A book store, grocery store, and chandlery complete the businesses found at the Antigua Yacht Club Marina. Moving down the road a bit pass various sky rise hotels, Temo Sports is a tennis center with bar and restaurant, famous for its great breakfasts... Next door is Titi's Rent a Car, but it's much less expensive to rent a car in advance online.... Mad Mongoose is next door, a well known bar and restaurant that offers live music and free wireless. It's one of many popular bars in the area where people off the boats gather with friends late into the night. Along Dockyard Drive is Life Bar and Restaurant, a vegetarian Restaurant... Next door is a clothes boutique and my cousin Nancy Nicholson's pottery shop, Rhythm In Blue.... Nancy is famous for her large, blue, signature dinner platters, and she sells local art and jewelry besides. Treehouse is across the street and offers body massage, pedicures, and facials. There are two scuba diving shops in that area, including Dockyard Divers, run by our good friend Tony Fincham, a one-time Nicholson Yacht Charter captain.....whose favorite dive site is the Pillars of Hercules just outside English Harbour, famous for visits from large, harmless pelagic fish. Cap Horn is a restaurant next to Rhythm In Blue that serves delicious French cuisine. Grace Before Meals comes next, a local place that serves excellent, low-cost Roti. Further along is Abracadabra, a fun Italian restaurant that is open for dinner, followed by Music and Dancing, that stays open late into the night.... Beyond That Is A Real Estate Shop.... Now you enter Nelson's Dockyard, where The Admirals Inn has a delightful terrace, which we recommend you visit for an al fresco lunch or dinner under the stars.... Outside the Admirals Inn in the parking lot is an ATM machine and bank. Galley Bar Is hamburgers and bar. Next is Hotspot, run by our friend Gay Nichols, which Is breakfast and lunch - paninis and delicious salads, eggs and bacon.... Upstairs in the old, historic Officers Quarters is a place called Headquarters, which has delicious wine.... Beyond that there is The Copper And Lumber Store, which has fish Friday, a popular place, frequented by yachtsmen.... In the Powder Magazine across from the Admirals Inn there's a restaurant called Boom, which is a spa, bar, restaurant and pool. Swim in the pool while you have a drink.... With walls 15 feet thick with slits for ventilation, the Powder Magazine is where the British stored gun powder during the 18th Century. There are four Powder Magazines in English Harbour, at Boom, Fort Berkley, Block House, and the fourth is hidden away in the swamp on the road to Shirley Heights. Further back toward the Antigua Yacht Club there's another place....Italian...excellent for lunch...called Rum Baba.... It's really good. We also forgot Trappas Bar on Dockyard Drive; they have excellent meals, a popular place for dinner....Seared Tuna and the like....frequented by the higher class locals from town.... All these places are within walking distance of Pineapple House, not to mention Pigeon Point Beach in the opposite direction, where there is another French restaurant...very fancy and expensive but WORTH IT!! There are other places too.... Farther afield, we recommend visits to historic Shirley Heights, Block House, and Clarence House, a long walk or short taxi ride.... The view of the Caribbean Sea and Guadeloupe are not to be missed! Shirley Heights Lookout hosts a popular jump up every Sunday evening, where people gather at 5 pm sharp to watch the sun go down; be warned....the bar serves 150 proof rum! Jacqui's restaurant on Fig Tree Drive is a great place to watch the sun set over the horizon with sundowners; stop along the way to zipline over the rain forest on Fig Tree Drive; swim gorgeous Darkwood Beach. Wadadli Catamarans in nearby Jolly Harbour offers sailing trips to Cades Reef, Great Bird Island, and a Circumnavigation of the island every day of the week for about $100 a person, including lunch. Book (EMAIL HIDDEN) Libby's friend Greg operates Barbuda Express (ferry boat), which offers daily boat rides to Barbuda, where lobster picnics can be arranged on the 20 mile long beach, famous for its turquoise water. During mating season in March hire a boat and driver to see the amazing frigate birds! It's fun to go with a group to let the boys arrange a picnic for you on Bird Island off Antigua's Hodges Bay; they have snorkel gear for you to enjoy the reefs with. Since Antigua has 365 beaches, many of them with hotels, it's fun to hotel hop, if you're renting a car. It's also fun to stop at the roadside bars on Fig Tree Drive, hobnob with the locals, and order beers. If you enjoy reading, I recommend 'To Shoot Hard Labour', a memoir by Samuel Smith, an Antiguan working man, who lived 100 years during slavery; get to know many of Antigua's British governors; order the book ahead on Amazon. Visit Betty's Hope (a sugar plantation mentioned in the book) and Devil's Bridge on Antigua's sparkling eastern coast; stop for a swim and a snorkel at Half Moon Bay; have lunch at Harmony Hall and shop at their inexpensive boutique. When you're in St. Johns, a must-visit is the public market; located next to the public bus depot, the public market is a great place to stock up on fresh, local nutmeg, vanilla, spices and herbs, grown locally on the island or imported from Dominica and Grenada, to take back home with you. While you're in St. Johns, we recommend visiting our uncle's archeological museum; he dedicated his life to researching the Carib and Arawak Indians in the West Indies, and there are all manner of sod houses, tools from 400 years ago, and stories of how these native people migrated from South America in dugout canoes. Of course, a stroll through Nelson's Dockyard is an absolute must, along with a visit to the museum to see model ships of Britain's Ships of the Line and artefacts, such as the planters' china, soldiers' buttons, and uniforms; it was our father who swum up the figurehead of the women's bust from the bottom of English Harbour in 1949. During the 1960s cannon balls were to be found everywhere on the hillsides surrounding English Harbour; we have a few 25 pounders to show you at Pineapple House. After visiting the museum in Nelson's Dockyard, have lunch under the Casuarina trees and ruins of the Sail Loft (now an aquarium) on the terrace of the Admiral's Inn. Following lunch, a short hike out to Fort Berkley at the entrance to English Harbour is rewarding and not strenous at all with its powder magazine, gun ramparts, and views of Nelson's Dockyard. For exercise, swim from Galleon Beach to Freeman's Beach near the entrance to English Harbour. Take the water taxi from Nelson's Dockyard to Galleon Beach after touring English Harbour first. Stop at the new fun restaurant "Paparazzi" at Antigua Slipway, enroute. One of the most scenic drives in Antigua is the coastal road that wraps around Willoughby Bay on the south side of the island; the best place to start this drive is English Harbour, because the sun shining behind you onto Willoughby Bay shows up the colors of the water best; heading east toward the town of Bethesda, what a photo op! Closer to home, a 5-minute walk from Pineapple House is Pigeon Beach, where there are two beach bars; order beers in the sand at Bumpkins Beach Bar, but have lunch at Catherine's Cafe; it's a fine, French restaurant, worth every cent. English Harbour buzzes at night with many options for fine French and Italian restaurants, followed by music and dancing late into the night. Rock bands are famous for their lead guitarists and great singers. We also have some reggae. Getting AroundTiti's Rent a Car is within walking distance of Pineapple House, but it is much less expensive to rent a car in advance online.... Driving is on the left. Taxis are plentiful on the island. We use Omar Taxi, a young, clean-cut Antiguan, a careful driver and very nice person... I call Omar for all Pineapple House guests needs.... If you advise your time of arrival, Omar can pick you up at the airport with a sign saying Pineapple House. The cost for a taxi from the airport to English Harbour is $31.00 US one way. Omar carries your bags up the steep Pineapple steps for you.... Public Bus - Public buses run every 15 minutes from English Harbour to the public market in St. Johns. $3.75 EC one way. Other Things to NoteThere is no TV or air conditioning at Pineapple House; guests are invited for sundowners at the main house each evening. All the cottages are open to the wind, and mosquitos do make their way in. Each bed has a mosquito net and a fan, and there is a Mosquito Magnet in the yard, which we rebait every three weeks. With the exception of Bird House and Cleopatras, there is no hot water at Pineapple House; guests are asked to use water sparingly, as water is scarce on the island. Pineapple House has wonderful ocean views, but there are lots of stairs. Because each cottage has just one double bed, Pineapple House caters primarily to couples; dormitory-style beds are available in the main house for crew off the yachts. Internet is available in the main house and gazebo only; we welcome guests to use the service in the main house. We are open from October to May.

The SpaceA tropical, open air villa, overlooking the Antigua Yacht Club Marina in Falmouth Harbour, this villa is rated as a V .I. P., Very Intimate Place, situated amongst tropical gardens on The Pineapple House property. This villa has it's own kitchen with stove, oven, fridge, and kitchen sink. The private, en-suite bathroom has hot-water rain shower. There is a private living room with stunning view of yachts and mountains overlooking turquoise, Falmouth Harbour, and a bedroom with King-size bed, fan, reading light, and mosquito net. Cleopatras is one of the most expensive cottages at Pineapple House, because it has a fully equipped kitchen and hot water shower. Located just above the main house on the hillside, with Hibicus Guest House under it, Cleopatras has steps up a steep hillside to negotiate, but there are not as many steps as at Bird House, which goes for the same price and has similar amenities and more privacy.... The view of Super Yachts at the marina (or racing yachts, depending upon the time of year) and the mountains surrounding Falmouth Harbour is stunning from up there. Pineapple House is a great place to catch up on reading and writing. People who stay here meet people, both within the compound of Pineapple itself and at bars and restaurants on Yacht Club Drive. Pineapple House caters to the crew off the yachts, who like to take time off between charters, and AirBNB guests. During regattas, sailors off the racing yachts prefer to stay at Pineapple House, as the Antigua Yacht Club Marina is three steps away. People dress up at night and dance the night away at music clubs, where bands are known for their great guitarists and singers. There are a number of spas in the area. Pigeon Point beach is a five minute walk, where Bumpkins Bar is the perfect place to watch the sun go down and there's a fancy French restaurant there as well that is expensive but worth every penny at the other end of the beach. English Harbour offers a safe, trendy neighborhood, where excellent Italian and French restaurants are within walking distance. Antigua offers some absolutely stunning, white, sandy beaches and is one beautiful, friendly, safe island. These complete units in our friendly "family-orientated" atmosphere are perfect platforms from which to explore the island. Guest AccessPlease feel free to walk around the gardens and join us in the main house for sundowners at sunset.... There is a lounge in the main house, where you can surf the web (if not in your private cottage), and a little gazebo next to the main house gets good internet reception as well, although the light has to be on for the electrical outlet to work. My Family moved to Antigua in 1949 and established the world's first yacht charter company in Nelson's Dockyard... Our offices are in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Moving down the road past various skyrise hotels, Temo Sports is a tennis center with bar and restaurant, famous for its great breakfasts... Nancy is famous for her large, signature dinner platters, and she sells local art and jewelry besides. The lounge is similar to the rest of our cottages, comfy and cozy, but open and airy, and decorated in tropical style and architecture. The Queen-sized bed has a mosquito net, reading light, and fan. There is a private bathroom with cold-water shower, ensuite. Pineapple House's laundry room shares an alcove with it. Caroline and Claudia make up beds daily and clean your house daily. Anyone staying in Rum Jungle is always invited up to the Main House to meet the rest of the yachting crew staying here. We encourage all of our guests to mingle and meet each other. Shops, night clubs, bars are all within a 5 minute walk to the Antigua Yacht Club Marina. The beach is just down the road in the opposite direction, a 5-minute walk, with two beach bars at either end. One of the least expensive houses at Pineapple House, Rum Jungle has the fewest steps of all the houses; it's also the house most likely to have internet, because the main house is located just above it. It has a fully equipped, private kitchen; cold-water rain shower; and private sitting room, plus great view. The one drawback is its proximity to the road, where cars zoom by. Pineapple House is a great place to catch up on reading and writing. People who stay here meet people, both within the compound of Pineapple itself and at pubs ashore. Pineapple House caters to the crew off the yachts, who like to take respites off the yachts between charters, and AirBNB guests. During regattas, sailors off the racing yachts prefer to stay at Pineapple House, as the Antigua Yacht Club is three steps from our door step. People dress up at night and dance the night away at music clubs, where bands are known for their great guitarists and singers. Pigeon Point beach is a five minute walk, where Bumpkins Bar is a great place to drink a pina colada and watch the sun go down and where a fine French restaurant graces the other end with its expensive but delicious luncheons, worth every penny! English Harbour offers a safe, trendy neighborhood, where excellent Italian and French restaurants are within walking distance. Antigua is known for its white sandy beaches, stunning scenery, and friendly people. Pineapple House is a great jumping off place from which to explore the island. Guest AccessPlease feel free to walk around the gardens and join us in the main house for sundowners at sunset.... There’s a lounge in the main house, where you can surf the web (if not in your private cottage), and a little gazebo next to the main house gets good internet reception as well, although the light switch has to be on for the electrical outlet to work. Color, design, and people are my specialty and my passion. My Family moved to Antigua in 1949 and established the world's first yacht charter company in Nelson's Dockyard... Our offices are in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Moving down the road past various sky rise hotels, Temo Sports is a tennis center with bar and restaurant, famous for its great breakfasts... There are two scuba diving shops in that area, including Dockyard Divers, run by our good friend Tony Fincham, a one-time Nicholson Yacht Charter captain..... One of Tony's dive sites is the Pillars of Hercules at the entrance to English Harbour, famous for its large, harmless, pelagic fish. Upstairs in the Officers Quarters is a place called Headquarters, which has delicious wine.... Beyond that there is The Copper And Lumber Store, which has fish Friday, a popular place, frequented by yachtsmen.... In the Powder Magazine across from the Admirals Inn there's a restaurant called Boom, which is a spa, bar, restaurant and pool. Swim in the pool while you wait for a massage or a drink. With walls 15 feet thick with slits for ventilation, the Powder Magazine is where the British stored gun powder during the 18th Century. There are four Powder Magazines in English Harbour, at Boom, Fort Berkley, Block House, and on the road to Shirley Heights. All these places are within walking distance of Pineapple House, not to mention Pigeon Point Beach in the opposite direction, where there is another French restaurant...very fancy and expensive but worth it....called Catherine's. There are other places too, not mentioned.... Farther afield, we recommend visits to historic Shirley Heights, Block House, and Clarence House; the view of the Caribbean Sea and Guadeloupe are not to be missed! Shirley Heights Lookout hosts a popular jump up every Sunday evening, where people gather at 5 pm sharp to watch the sun go down; be warned....the bar serves 150 proof rum! Jacqui's restaurant on Fig Tree Drive is a great place to watch the sun set over the horizon with sundowners; stop along the way to zipline over the rain forest; swim gorgeous Darkwood Beach. Of course, a stroll through Nelson's Dockyard is an absolute must, along with a visit to the Dockyard Museum to see model ships of Britain's Ships of the Line and artefacts, such as the planters' china, soldiers' buttons, and uniforms; it was our father who swum up the figurehead of the women's bust from the bottom of English Harbour in 1949. We use Omar Taxi, a careful driver and very nice person... I call Omar for all Pineapple House guests needs.... If you advise your time of arrival, I can send Omar to pick you up at the airport with a sign saying Pineapple House. The cost for a taxi from the airport to English Harbour is $31.00 US one way. Omar carries your bags up the steep Pineapple stairs for you and knows the code to the front gate, so if you are arriving late at night, his service could be beneficial. Because each cottage has just one double bed and situated on a steep mountain side, Pineapple House caters primarily to couples; dormitory-style beds are available for individuals in the main house. Internet is available in the main house and gazebo only; guests are welcome to use the internet service in the main house anytime. We are open from October to May.

The SpaceThis fully private, attractively appointed, little villa has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom with cold-water rain shower. There is a balcony with a matrimonial hammock to swing in with your partner, overlooking a stunning view of Falmouth Harbour. A truly unique little piece of paradise... Although spacious, this quaint villa with handsome, colonial furnishings is the one cottage on the Pineapple House property that does not have a private kitchen. This cottage shares the kitchen with the Main House when needed. As Frangipani is the closest house to the Main House, we hope that you and your partner will come and enjoy meeting the crew on the Super Yachts, as the main house is the preferred place for those crew to stay. Frangipani is one of seven villa's on the property. Along with Rum Jungle, it's among the less expensive properties at Pineapple, because it is located farther from the road and is therefore less noisy. It is also located higher up on the hillside; therefore, it has a better view but more steps. It is not located as high up as Bird House and Cleopatras, however, so it does not have as many steps as those cottages. It does share a kitchen with the main house, however, while Rum Jungle has a private kitchen. Neither Rum Jungle nor Frangipani have hot water showers. Unlike Rum Jungle, Frangipani has gorgeous period furnishings. Pineapple House is a great place to catch up on reading and writing. People who stay here meet people, both within the compound of Pineapple itself and at pubs ashore. The SpaceHibiscus is located on a hillside overlooking the Antigua Yacht Club Marina and Falmouth Harbour. It is in a trendy neighborhood that is safe and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, grocery shops, bank, Nelson's Dockyard, and of course our favorite....Pigeon Point Beach. Meandering paths connect seven private guest cottages to the Main House, known collectively as The Pineapple House. Guests are welcome to join an informal cocktail hour with other guests and friends, or you are welcome to remain in your own house with living room, bedroom and kitchen. Restaurants in the area offer everything from local to French, English, and Italian fare.... All are within walking distance of the Pineapple House. Most of all, the view is stunning from the cottage with luxury yachts anchored on the docks below. At different times of the year, the view changes, as Super Yachts are swapped out for racing yachts, depending upon what functions are going on ashore. The Antigua Yacht Club hosts regattas throughout the year and is located literally 3 minutes from our front gate! The king size bed has a mosquito net and a fan. We catch our rain water from gutters, so please use water sparingly, as water is extremely scarce on the island. The houses are open to the air and offer a tropical, Caribbean style, where yellow and black birds, Banana Twits, fly through the house and visit while you are having breakfast....They may hop impatiently while you finish your fruit. We put sugar out to succor them in further... There is complimentary internet (in the main house only) and a code to our front gate. We have a friendly and local staff on site, who make up your bed daily and clean your room. We are like family, small and quaint. Hibiscus is less expensive than Bird House and Cleopatras, because it shares a house with Cleopatras, but it is more expensive than Frangipani and Rum Jungle, because the view is better. It does not have as many steps as Bird House, and while it has a great view, the view is not as good as at Cleopatras, which is located above it with hot water shower. Hibiscus has a private kitchen and cold-water shower. Pineapple House is a great place to catch up on reading and writing. People who stay here meet people, both within the compound of Pineapple itself and at pubs ashore. Pineapple House caters to the crew off the yachts, who like to take time off the yachts between charters, and AirBNB guests. During regattas, sailors off the racing yachts prefer to stay at Pineapple House. Antigua is known for its beautiful, white sandy beaches, stunning scenery, and friendly people. Guest AccessPlease feel free to walk around the gardens and join us in the main house for sundowners at sunset.... There’s a lounge in the main house, where you can surf the web (if not in your private cottage), and the little gazebo next to the main house gets good internet reception as well, although the light has to be on for the electric outlet to work. Color, design, and people are my specialty and my passion. My Family moved to Antigua in 1949 and established the world's first yacht charter company in Nelson's Dockyard... Our offices are in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Moving down the road, past various sk rise hotels, Temo Sports is a tennis center with bar and restaurant, famous for its great breakfasts... There are two scuba diving shops in that area, including Dockyard Divers, run by our good friend Tony Fincham, a one-time Nicholson Yacht Charter captain..... One of Tony's favorite dive sites is the Pillars of Hercules just outside the entrance to English Harbour, famous for visits from large, harmless, Pelagic fish. Swim in the pool while you wait for your drink... With walls 15 feet thick with slits for ventilation, the Powder Magazine is where the British stored gun powder during the 18th Century. There are four Powder Magazines in English Harbour, at Boom, Fort Berkley, Block House, and on the road to Shirley Heights. Very Fancy. There are other places too, not mentioned.... Of course, a stroll through Nelson's Dockyard is an absolute must, along with a visit to the museum to see model ships of Britain's Ships of the Line and artefacts, such as the planters' china, soldiers' buttons, and uniforms; it was our father who swum up the figurehead of the women's bust from the bottom of English Harbour. in 1949. Paparazzi's is a fun new restaurant located at the Antigua Slipway Marina enroute. We use Omar Taxi, a careful driver and very nice person... I call Omar for all Pineapple House guests needs.... If you advise your time of arrival, Omar can pick you up at the airport with a sign saying Pineapple House. The cost for a taxi from the airport to English Harbour is $31.00 US one way. Omar carries your bags up the steep Pineapple stairs for you.... Internet is available in the main house and gazebo only; we welcome guests to use internet service in the main house. We are open from October to May.
