Interaction with GuestsI live in the same suburb and will try to meet my guests on arrival and answer any questions, suggest places to visit and provide bearings. You will be able to obtain a key from a key safe located next to the front door of the apartment. I am always contactable by phone. The NeighborhoodCampbell, located at the foot of Mt Ainslie is a lovely tree-lined suburb. For those who like walking, a trail begins at the back of the War Memorial and leads to the top of Mt Ainslie. Lake Burley Griffin is a ten minute walk away and so it's possible to see many of Canberra's museums on foot as many of the tourist sites are located on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. Restaurants and shopping facilities are located in Civic, the city centre, also within walking distance. Getting AroundIf you enjoy walking, you will love getting about on foot and if you have a bike even better as Canberra is a bike friendly city. Nearby Constitution Avenue is a major transport route and buses go every few minutes in both directions. There is also a bus stop on Blamey Crescent going to the city and War Memorial. The airport is about 10 minutes away by car and taxis and Uber cost $25 or less. A taxi to or from Parliament House or the city is about $15. Uber is even cheaper. Other Things to NoteLocated 1km from Russell Hill, 2km from the city and 3km from the ANU. The Campbell Shops are around the corner on Blamey Crescent. You will find a Post Office, IGA supermarket, chemist, bottle shop, bakery, cafe and two restaurants as well as a doctor's surgery, hairdresser and dentist. Two new eateries recently opened on the corner of Constitution Avenue and Creswell Streets - ten minutes walk away.

The SpaceNew listing as I just moved in. I love this place. Because the apartment is architect designed, it feels very private despite being a part of a large block. Every window faces has a green outlook and the west facing living room means sunset views from the balcony every night. The split level design makes the bedrooms feel quite separate to the living room and the timber floors are sleek but also insulated so nice and quiet underfoot. Guest AccessUnfortunately there is still no wifi until late January as I just moved in and Telstra are taking their time! There's a nice big 42 inch plasma screen TV for you're enjoyment and a good selection of coffee table books on art and design as well as magazines to unwind with. No air-con but the place keeps very cool thanks to insulation from the neighbours on either side and above. See house manual for instructions on how to optimise this! Interaction with GuestsHappy to chat and provide recommendations for this great city, but also happy to leave you to yourselves. I am home most weeknights but often work late so am a little all over the place. You will have your own key to come and go as you please. I moved to Canberra a year ago so happy to provide recommendations for great places to eat and play. The NeighborhoodCampbell is an idyllic little suburb. It was developed in the 60s so contains lots of modernist architecture to discover and the streets are peaceful and tree-lined. The Campbell shops has a beautifully stocked IGA (general store) and the liquor store next to it is owned by a very knowledgeable gent with a great selection. Getting AroundThe number 9 bus is right outside the door and there's many others around a 7m walk away. However I often take an Uber in and out of the city when I'm not riding my bike as it's usually around a $7 trip! Other Things to NoteCouples are welcome for short periods (2 weeks maximum) but for longer stays I would prefer singles as there's only one bathroom :)
