The SpaceArchitect's House 5 is a 1 bedroom self contained renovated old stables in Bangalow. It sits on the same property as our own house, on a 1 acre property, but is still completely private. Sharon (an ex-architect, now Voice over artist) and Steve (a builder) are the owners of this property and we live in the main house. It has been carefully renovated by us and is light and airy and faces north. We do have a pool on the property and though we use it ourselves, we offer it to guests to share. The property would suit a couple. Its location is ideal if you want to visit Byron Bay but would prefer to get away from Byron and retreat to the beautiful town of Bangalow. It is not a remote rural site, it is a large one acre site in the suburb of Bangalow, and you can hear some road traffic. Please note we have no wi-fi.There is also no aircon (we do have fans) Guest Accesswe share a driveway but then you would have your own carpark near the cottage. once you park its private. Interaction with Guestsonly as much as you would like. No contact is needed! Just sms us if you need anything. The Neighborhoodbangalow is the most beautiful little country town, and only ten minutes drive from Byron Bay Getting Aroundthere is no public transport, you will need a car Other Things to NoteGENERAL LOUNGE AREA: - the living space is open plan with a comfortable custom made 4 seater designer lounge - free to air TV + DVD player and lots of movies - comfortable dining table and chairs KITCHEN FACILITIES: - fridge - dishwasher - note: there is a 2 burner cook top. There is no oven. No microwave. BEDROOM: - The bed is comprised of two single beds made as one bed. This is a very high quality and extremely comfortable bed but we need to point out it is 190cm long and there is a seam where the beds join. It is as wide as a king size bed with the beds pushed (URL HIDDEN) is just the length that is short of a king. Not for the very tall guest. BATHROOM: - fully renovated small neat bathroom with a shower, small basin, and toilet - it has the configuration of a motel style bathroom (although new and renovated). It is small, and a bit of a tight fit. the basin is small for example. Shower at one end, and the toilet at the other. Most people don't mind it at all and never mention it at all, but one person has mentioned it's not easy to shave in the bathroom sink. So I just like to give a clear picture! MISCELLANEOUS: - clothes line - off street parking for one car - lots of storage and robe space - you can share our swimming pool if you wish - there are flyscreens on most windows, but not on the bi-folding main living room doors. In the bedroom, one large window is screened, but the other large window does not have a flyscreen EXCLUSIONS: - there is now clothes washing machine, but if you are staying for more than a few nights, we are happy for you to use our own miele washing machine nearby - No wi-fi - No oven. The SpaceCharming, exclusive cosy and private We also have additional rooms available across the lawn downstairs in the main house - self contained - prices on request We can also let the entire house at Christmas time and perhaps at other times during the year but for s 1 week minimum Guest AccessA garden and (on request) laundry facilities and continental breakfast by arrangement Interaction with GuestsThe owners will be happy to assist in any way to make the guest's stay in Bangalow memorable. We often take guests to s local restaurant or function and pickup afterwards The NeighborhoodBangalow has a charm of it’s own – it is a well preserved Victorian dairy town with a heritage main street lined with 2 story buildings – most with awnings and verandas. The town has many cafes’ restaurants and chic gift shops. The shops are very individual (the Pharmacy is especially notable for it’s presentation) and have a mix of offerings from clothing to home-wares to modern and traditional antiques. Another notable building is the A&I Hall which was built at the turn of the century and is used for concerts, functions and fairs. The weekly markets are well known and are held every Saturday morning behind the Byron Hotel in Bangalow.. There is a wonderful range of fresh produce, cheeses, herbs and vegetables, meats, grains etc – all grown in the local area. Every 4 weeks there is a much larger fresh produce market held in the Bangalow showgrounds – these feature all sorts of local foods and produce with local arts and crafts and tempting food. There is a thriving arts and literary scene with events almost every few weeks. The Blues Fest is the best known of them but there are many others including the Bangalow Chamber Music Festival, the Writers festival and the Byron Music Society. One of the cultural gems of the region is the Tweed River Gallery which houses many works of the famous Australian artist, Margaret Olley - her original studio has been installed and is on show in a special building at the Gallery. The views from the Gallery over the hills and valleys are wonderful and are a very appropriate place for the works of Margaret Olley. Getting AroundThe main town area is about 10 minutes walk. The owners can assist on other transport requirements including airport transfers. Other Things to NoteThe local area has many small villages - some of the more notable are Newrybar, Eltham, Clunes and Nimbin. Beaches are ony 15 minutes drive and, apart from Byron Bay beach there are many other secluded spots including The Pass, Wategoes and Broken Head.

The SpaceSometimes you just need to get away and recharge, a little me time. But not any holiday house will do, in fact only CapeView @ Byron will do. With unsurpassed views across the lush green hills of Byron's Hinterland let your eye wander to the crystal waters of the Pacific Ocean and Byron's Beaches whilst sipping that first cocktail for the afternoon. The famous Cape Byron with its iconic Lighthouse is perfectly framed from most vantage points within the house. When the owners first discovered this hideaway over 10 years ago they had a vision to build their dream home perched high on the ridge. With access to the best of both worlds, CapeView @ Byron is positioned between bustling Byron Bay and all it has to offer and the quaint yet sophisticated village of Bangalow. After years of planning, building and landscaping that dream is now finally a reality, a reality that you too can enjoy. Completed at the end of 2014 this stunning home has been built with incredible attention to detail, from the sculptured stonework entrance to the manicured lawns and garden, it is apparent great care has been invested into making this truly a home away from home. Entering the house through the heavy aged timber door, be welcomed by the modern but ultimately relaxed and casual décor and beautiful garden courtyard. Down the hall to the large open plan contemporary kitchen, dining and lounge. An expanse of cool cream polished concrete floors throughout and every modern convenience offered at the highest quality European kitchen appliances. Gather at the stunning dining table, large and comfortable lounge, and entertainment (state of the art TV, stereo dvd), all the while gazing out across the serene hills and ocean views. Or enjoy the ambiance of the large outdoor room with BBQ lounge and dining area or simply while away the afternoon reclining around the saltwater pool. The master suite enjoys the views to Byron Cape including the blinking of the light house light and the luxury of the en-suite bath or shower all the while still surveying the ever present views. The bedroom wing offers a private retreat of a further two modern bedrooms and bathroom both with views of the property’s own beautiful garden which then blends into the hinterland and ocean. CapeView @ Byron really will entrance you with its luxury, seclusion and serenity yet still only a few minutes’ drive to either the beauty of Byron’s beaches or the delights of the wonderfully relaxed village of Bangalow. **Notes: -We reserve the right to cancel any bookings made that do not comply with these conditions. Architect's House 5 is a 1 bedroom self contained renovated old stables in Bangalow. LAUNCHED OCTOBER 2014. It sits adjacent to our own house on a 1 acre property, but is still completely private. Sharon (an architect) and Steve (a builder) are the owners of this property and we live in the main house. It has been carefully renovated by us and is light and airy and faces north. We do have a pool on the property and though we sometimes use it ourselves, we offer it to guests to share. The property would suit a couple. Its location is ideal if you want to visit Byron Bay but would prefer to get away from Byron and retreat to the beautiful town of Bangalow. It is not a remote site, it is a large one acre site in the suburb of Bangalow, and you can hear some road traffic. We have ceiling fans, but no air con. Also please note, we dont have wifi. FEATURES AND FACTS GENERAL LOUNGE AREA: - the living space is open plan with a comfortable custom made 4 seater designer lounge - free to air TV + DVD player and lots of movies - comfortable dining table and chairs KITCHEN FACILITIES: - fridge - dishwasher - note: there is a 2 burner cook top. There is no oven. There is no microwave. BEDROOM: - The bed is comprised of two single beds made as one bed. This is a very high quality and extremely comfortable bed but we need to point out it is 190cm long and there is a seam where the beds join. It is as wide as a king size bed with the beds pushed together...it is just the length that is short of a king. Not for the very tall guest. Cannot be made in to two single beds. In the bedroom, one large window is screened, but the other large window does not have a flyscreen EXCLUSIONS: - there is now clothes washing machine, but if you are staying for more than a few nights, we are happy for you to use our own miele washing machine nearby - No oven. No Microwave. - no air conditioning. We have fans Light-filled original stables renovated by an award-winning architect, and now a 1 bedroom holiday cottage in Bangalow
