The SpaceWelcome! We think this is the loveliest street in Catalina (@ Batemans Bay). Our contemporary home has lots of character and our stamp of individuality! Latest project... woodfired pizza oven & concrete bench! A very comfortable queen bed awaits in your light airy room, both windows boasting lovely vistas. You may spot a kangaroo and there is plenty of bird life. Your bathroom right next door. The rumpus is your 'sitting room' and has couch, TV, meals/computer table. Use the ping pong table, treadmill or even the piano! The terrace outside the rumpus is perfect for breakfast, a drink or just sit and read a book. The kitchenette will be stocked prior to arrival ready for the morning. NOTE: STAYS 2 OR MORE NIGHTS....there is not a kitchen, HOWEVER, THE KITCHENETTE PLUS DOUBLE GAS BURNER (outside on concrete bench) facilitate all you need to organise a basic meal. Use the sink in the kitchenette not the outside one. Take a swim in the lap pool! Smoking is allowed, but STRICTLY OUTSIDE , ask for an ashtray. Thank you. Guest AccessFRONT DOOR ENTRY - DOWN STAIRCASE - RUMPUS ROOM -KITCHENETTE/LAUNDRY - YOUR ROOM - BATHROOM - LARGE DECK -SMALLER COVERED DECK Remember it's set up for your convenience, so use as you will!! Washing machine also for use and 2 clothes lines outside, one under cover. Dryer available @ $5.00 a load. Some use of the lap pool (summer only of course). CAR PARKING on the lawn out the front. Interaction with GuestsWe make every effort to be here and greet you, but if occasionally our times don't coordinate, we will arrange the key and be here as soon as possible. We like to familiarise you with your space and introduce ourselves so you feel at home & we can address any queries you have. We then usually leave you to yourselves to enjoy the beautiful Eurobodalla area. We live in the house but have our own living area but of course you will see us around. Don't hesitate to sing out with any queries throughout your stay! The NeighborhoodWe love our neighbourhood!! It's a beautiful area away from the busy touristy areas, yet so close to town! We all live on one hectare (or larger) blocks, so its quiet and feels like you are miles away! Our 'no through road' status means not much traffic. We have spotted gums a natural bush setting & ocean glimpses. The local wildlife pop in, some days the kookaburras can be heard singing, reminding us how lucky we are. The closest beach is only 5 minutes drive from our home, but depending on watersport of your choice, may dictate which beach you visit...check our guide book on this listing. We are 20-30 minutes walk to the CBD depending on fitness (a couple of good hills to contend with) and it's a lovely walk or.... drive to The Catalina Golf Club, leave the car & enjoy a flat walk along Beach Road past the Marina. There are restaurants & coffee shops to make use of once you get there (see our electronic guidebook). There are many little towns, beaches and places you can drive for a day out, they too are in the guidebook. Most importantly, enjoy so you are relaxed before returning to the daily grind!! Getting AroundLocal buses. We have the timetable if required. They are not as regular as in the cities, but they are available. Most of the Clubs have courtesy buses. Local taxis. Other Things to NoteIt's a bit of a wildlife corridor up here, so once you pass the water tower, take it slowly in case of a passing kangaroo, wallaby or even the odd echidna! We also have a local liar bird that prefers to stay hidden most of the time!

Fall asleep to the gentle sound of waves crashing onto the shore. Becalmed on Sunshine Cove is a unique, very private 5 -bedroom holiday home located right on the shores of Sunshine Cove, Sunshine Bay, just 8km south of Batemans Bay, on the NSW South Coast. No expense has been spared to create the perfect escape for family holidays, groups of friends or special celebratory gatherings. The house slowly unfolds as you enter and move down the polished wood hallway, with beautifully appointed guest rooms on each side. However, it’s not until you come to the end of this hallway that you discover this house’s hidden secret. As you pass through the tall glass doors, you enter a spacious, contemporary living and dining area complete with floor to ceiling windows looking directly out over Sunshine Cove. Fling open the large glass sliding doors to access the enormous entertainment deck, where many long lunches and lantern-lit dinners will ensue, all the time serenaded by the soft sounds of waves crashing onto the shore below. The house’s three generous living rooms are tastefully furnished in contemporary styles and give guests plenty of space to spread out, escape and play. All have fireplaces, with the main living room boasting a fabulous Norwegian open fireplace - perfect for Winter escapes on the coast. Flathead, bream, mulloway and the odd snag! You will probably need a licence though. If you don't have one, we can help you arrange on online. CAN YOU SWIM IN THE RIVER? The property is right on the Clyde River. Though you can swim in the river, the tidal influence can be strong. So we do ask you use your common sense and be water safe in general. If you do bring your own boat or kayak, we can offer you lots of advice, but you may be unable to tie up at the Jetty depending upon your boat size. Though we live on site, it doesn't always mean we will be here. We like to travel a lot - either overseas or maybe just going for a kayak paddle down the Clyde!
