The SpaceThe studio is self contained with a modern kitchenette, bathroom and an alcove with 2 bunk beds, all beautifully furnished in a funky retro style. The private, covered outdoor area looks onto Cambewarra mountain and is well appointed with a new gas barb-b-que and all cooking utensils. The studio has all the modern creature comforts including DVD/TV, quality queen sized bed & bunks with luxury sheets & towels, iron & ironing board, small blue-tooth sound system, heating & fans. The kitchenette has a bar fridge, microwave, kettle, sandwich press, coffee plunger, toaster, all crockery, glass wear & utensils and cooking is by way of a gas barb-b-que on the private outdoor area, the induction cooktop inside or electric skillet. Although the studio sleeps 4, there is not full privacy between the main room and the alcove where the bunks are so it is ideal for 2 or 3 adults or a family of 4. Guest AccessGuests have access to a full sized tennis court with racquets & balls provided. Laundry facilities are available on request. You will find a variety of games & DVD's for your enjoyment. Interaction with GuestsGuests can choose if they would like interaction with the owners or if they would prefer complete privacy. The owners will be present in the main house during your stay however will only interact with the guests if requested. We have lived in the area all our lives so know and love the area well. The NeighborhoodThe studio is perfectly located on a quiet country lane just 10 minutes from Nowra, 20 minutes from historic Berry & Kangaroo Valley, 15 minutes from Bundanon and 25 minutes from Jervis Bay. There are many wineries and fine restaurants in our area, including one on our lane! The south coast of NSW is renowned for being one of the most picturesque areas of the state with mountains, rainforests, the whitest beaches in the world and a perfect climate. Ideal for site seeing, bush walking, rock climbing, diving, swimming, surfing and just relaxing! Getting AroundThere is a train service to Bomaderry and we would be happy to pick you up, however it is best to come by car so you can explore the area fully. Parking is on a sealed parking area beside the studio. Other Things to NoteParking is on the property, just outside the Studio, so it is completely safe and secure.

The SpaceWelcome to Nowra! Come and stay with us in a comfortable house with lovely gardens. Nowra is by a river, near mountains and ocean and Bays, we are right in the middle for easy access to all. There are countless things to do here, swimming, surfing, boating, bush walks, beach walks,mountain and valleys and waterfalls,dolphin viewing, whales in winter and so much more.. You could spend a week here and do something different every day or nothing at all if you want to relax. Being travellers ourselves we know how to look after you. We can collect from the train or bus or offer covered parking if you have a car. We will give you maps and directions or even take you if we are not busy. Breakfast is included every morning and consists of juice, fruit,yochurts, cereal, toast or muffins with condiments and boiled eggs if required. Getting AroundNot a lot of public transport but walking distance (2-3 kms) to town centre, clubs, pubs, restaurants and bushwalks. 20min walk from Railway Station and town centre. If I am around I can pick you up. Other Things to NoteOnly 20min Drive to beautiful Jervis Bay. A 10min drive to historical township of Berry. Several bush walks nearby (easy to moderate 1-2 hours walks). Shoalhaven zoo and wildlife park (3km) 3km to the Nowra Tree Adventure. Rock climbing cliffs nearby. See the 'thecrag' website and search for Nowra region. Aviation museum at Nowra Naval base (7km). 10 Minute walk to North Nowra Medical Center

The SpacePlease read the full description before you make a request to stay as there is important information to help you decide if this place is right for you. This large (50 sq metre), light and airy room is like a small apartment in the downstairs of our house. It is a great place to stay. There is a separate entrance to the room with a full, recently renovated bathroom. We have a 2 night minimum stay. To really get a good idea of what the Shoalhaven area has to offer you should plan to take 3 days. We will waive the $25 cleaning fee for people booking 6 or more nights. The room is divided up into 3 zones: The dining area - has a table and a small kitchenette that has a bar fridge, microwave, an electric kettle and toaster. There are no other cooking facilities or kitchen sink in the room. The sleeping area - has a brand new queen size bed and 2 single beds. 4 adults would be very comfortable (with 2 sharing the queen bed). There is a place to hang up clothes plus a unit that has shelves and drawers for guests to store their gear. The entertainment area - has a couch , TV and DVD player. There is a porch outside the entry door that gets plenty of morning sun with a cafe' table and chairs and is a lovely place to sit and have a coffee and enjoy the local birdlife. There is a heater for the cooler weather and a fan for warm weather and plenty of un-timed parking on the street. There is one important thing that guests need to be aware of: I am a hairdresser and run a small, 1 chair salon that is in an adjacent room off the accommodation space. My salon is only a few steps from the shared entry door (see pictures) and my clients walk through the dining end of the space (5 or 6 steps) to get to my salon. I work on my own during the daytime - by appointment only - there are no random people wandering in off the street. My work days are M-Tu-Th & Fr, so on those days there may be a client or two coming to the salon at any given time between 9:30 and 5:30. Some days are busier than others. I will always inform you in advance if I have bookings, and I am able to shut the door to the salon when there is a client. Airbnb guests are welcome to be here at the same time that I am working. My clients know that we are hosts and enjoy meeting new people. Most of my clients are middle age professionals who have been coming to me for years. When I've had hair clients booked at the same time as Airbnb guests staying I always ask the Airbnb guests to comment on what it was like for them in their reviews at the end of their stay. So far, in 3+ years, everyone has commented that it was not an issue. Truly, there has not much contact between our guests and my clients. I would ask guests who are staying on my work days to expect that there may possibly be people coming and to keep the area tidy . Guest AccessGuests are provided supplies for a simple continental breakfast which include: cereal muesli instant oats milk bread butter jam vegemite peanut butter tea bags instant coffee and freshly ground coffee & a french press plunger Please let me know before you arrive: - what sort of milk you prefer: full cream, lite, skim or soy - what type of bread you like: multi-grain, wholemeal or white. You may also use the BBQ in the courtyard in our backyard. We are happy to share our kitchen with guests who want to prepare simple meals. If you use our kitchen we ask that any meat, poultry or fish be cooked outside on the BBQ as we are vegetarians. We also expect that guests using the kitchen/BBQ clean up after themselves. There are 5 supermarkets in walking distance plus numerous restaurants and pubs. Guests have access to a large private bathroom. In the bathroom there is a hairdryer for guests use and shelves for you to unpack your things. Guests are welcome to leave their things on the shelves for the duration of their stay. We provide towels and bedding. Guests may use our laundry upstairs for $4 per load (including detergent) with a clothes drying rack in the room or the porch and/or a large clothesline in the backyard. There is a TV & DVD player plus a variety of DVD's that guests are welcome to watch. There are also some maps, pamphlets and books on the Shoalhaven region for people to discover more about the area. Free wi-fi Interaction with GuestsThis is our home as well as our workplace so we are around most of the time. We are all fairly busy with the things we are involved with outside of home. In terms of interacting with guests we are flexible. We like to meet people and find out about them but we are not overly nosey. That being said, we expect that there will be some socialising and we'll take the cue from you - perhaps we can show you around or even share a drink if there is time. We look forward to meeting you. We keep fairly normal hours: loosely 7 am - 11 pm. We prefer that guests don't go in my salon, the storage room or the upstairs bedrooms. If there is something that guests need, please don't hesitate to come upstairs and ask, we will try to accommodate where we can. We are keen to give our guests a great experience and optimising the space is a work in progress. We welcome any suggestions on how to make your stay more enjoyable. The NeighborhoodWe live in a great neighborhood. It is quiet yet within a few blocks walking distance to most things in Nowra. Visitors should be sure to do Ben's Walk, Cambewarra Lookout, Bomaderry Creek Bushland walk and make a 20 min trip out to beautiful Jervis Bay. Nowra is a great central location to explore the south coast. You can do easy day trips from Nowra to Kangaroo Valley, Fitzroy Falls, Bowral, Minnamurra Falls, Berry, Gerringong, Gerroa, Wollongong, Jervis Bay and Milton/Ulladulla. My husband Robin is a keen surfer and can give excellent advice on the best local surf spots. Getting AroundPublic transport is negligible though you can get the train from Sydney to Bomaderry/Nowra. We are happy to pick you up from the train station if we are free. We are 3 hours from the Sydney airport by train and 2.5 hours by car. Travelling by car follow the Princes Hwy south to and past Wollongong then onwards to Nowra. Other Things to NoteIf you are sending a booking enquiry or request when it is night time here (in Australia) please be patient with my reply. I tend to turn off my devices when I go to bed so I won't be disturbed. I always check for messages in the morning. If you need your hair cut or coloured while you are in town please consider booking in with me. I would be happy to be of service (provided I don't have other bookings).       If you are looking for tranquillity truly set in the bush this is the place for you. Only 20 minute drive from the centre of the Village, this home set on 5 acres on the edge of Morton National Park, this home has all you need to get away from it all but to be surrounded by stunning wildlife. If you are wanting to sample some truly beautiful Australian wildlife this home will not disappoint. Relax on the wide deck and take in the views of the bush and close Mt Scanzi. The property is accessed by Bugong Firetrail and although an unsealed road can be accessed by 2WD vehicles, however we do advise guests do proceed with some caution especially if low clearance. This is strictly a no pet property A unique bush home set on tranquil 5 acres however only 20 minutes away from the main village. An abundance of wild life will be on your door step. A great place to stay if you enjoy the outdoors with kayaking, mountain biking and bush walking close by. Or if you simply just want to relax and admire the birdlife.

Minutes drive to town or 30-45 minute walk to the CBD or Stockland shopping mall. A stay in the Shoalhaven couldn't be more convenient than to stay at Surf Mist. Centrally located, a few minutes drive to town or 30-45 minute walk to the CBD; 20 minute drive to Berry and Kangaroo Valley, upt to 30 minute drive to Jervis Bay beaches and the beachside towns like Culburra Beach in only a 15-20 minute drive from Nowra, Callala Beach and Currong are only within 15 to 30 minutes drive away. Or take a drive out to Greenwell Point wehre you will be able to sample the local seafood. A minute walk to Tuscan Woodfired Pizza and Trivi Fountain Italian Restaurants, opens from 5pm every day. We share our land with a vast array of Native Australian wildlife, Lyre birds nest by the house, they visit to perform their mating dance by the corner of the bedroom. Wombats roam the property freely and I think our children have followed them around so much that they now let you get quite close. The barn owls can be heard at night as you sit by the fire. The bird life is too numerous to list and quite frankly I don't know most of them, the usual culprits are Kookaburras, Red Breasted Parrots and Cockatoos. There are wild ducks on the pond and if your lucky you'll meet our resident Echidna, Spike. Native eagles nest up at the Cambewarra look out and can be seen soaring above the house. Getting AroundAttunga needs car access and no public transport is available. A great afternoon walk is up to the Cambewarra lookout, only 3 km from the property for afternoon tea or lunch and then back down again. The walk takes us 25 minutes and my children are 6 and 8 years old. Other Things to NoteMy husband & I purchased the property in July, 2015 to fulfill a dream to create a place where families, couples & singles can come to pluck vegetables out of the ground, pull fruit from the trees, roll down hills, enjoy fires at night and laugh with family and friends while you gaze at the stars. It is a place to come, enjoy and leave with a full heart . We still have lots to do !! Build vegetable patches, plant the trees, construct a deck out the back and put in a pool!!! There is a fan in the bedroom and a heating/air conditioning unit in the living/kitchen area. There is a TV/VCR/DVD player, CD player, books and a private deck with a barbeque. The cottage is separated from the main home by a private deck area. Guest AccessThere is a designated car space for the cottage and there is private access to the cottage via the cottage deck. Guests are welcome to walk around the property - 5 acres of park-like gardens, an extensive vegetable patch including stone fruit trees, a small citrus orchard, a creek and permanent spring as well as areas of natural rain forest. We do provide maps and brochures which highlight what you can do locally as well as details about the many restaurants and activities in the immediate area. However, we are nearby should you want to discuss social and leisure opportunities and we are happy to help wherever we can while respecting your privacy. The NeighborhoodWombat Hill Cottage is on a hilltop position in the extraordinarily beautiful mountain country of Bellawongarah (land of many Wonga Pigeons) between Berry and Kangaroo Valley. There are endless activities that you can participate in - canoeing, hiking, biking, walking, swimming, surfing, wine tasting to name a few. Kangaroo Valley is rated as one of the most beautiful valleys in Australia. Berry and Kangaroo Valley are charming small villages with quaint shops and a genuine local 'feel'. There is great shopping and many restaurants and coffee shops that source all their supplies from the local community farmers. There are at least 3 wineries very close and definitely worth visiting! The IGA in Berry is very well stocked for supplies. Getting AroundAs the Cottage is a 15 minute drive from Berry or Kangaroo Valley villages it is best to have a car. However, there is a train from Sydney to Berry which takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes. We can always arrange a ride up the hill from the station if necessary. Other Things to NoteWe honour one night bookings however in peak season (Easter, Christmas, public and school holidays) a $30 surcharge is added to one night bookings - we operate this on an honour system and we would ask you to please remember to leave $30 with the key on your departure. Thank you in advance. Wombat Hill Cottage is located on a mountain road with many twists and turns and wildlife are often seen while driving. Keep your speed slow so that you can avoid hitting a wombat or wallaby please. Please be particularly careful on the road at night as this is the time that wombats venture out! From the Cottage deck you may be lucky to spot our resident wombat or echidna. You are welcome to wander around the beautiful garden and visit our chickens and ducks to collect your own farm fresh eggs. Visit our organic veggie patch and pick citrus from our small orchard. We have neighboring alpacas and geese and have four young sheep who love to be handfeed if you are willing! We have two dogs who are noisy at first, but friendly once they know you have been invited! The bird life on the property is exceptional.

Upstairs consists of 2 very spacious bedrooms; one with a queen size bed and the other with a double bed and bunk beds, there is also a full bathroom. The house has free wifi. There is as well an independent studio that you can hire for extra friends ($150per night). It is fully furnished with queen size bed, kitchenette and a beautiful bathroom with a sunk in bath surrounded by glass windows so you can have a romantic candle lit bath among the rabbits and wombats walking around!
