The SpaceYou have your own private, self-contained space via a back lane entry. A recent renovation with high pitched roof allows plenty of light and breezes. New kitchenette appliances, microwave, BBQ and portable electric cook top. A very comfortable queen bed with 'worlds softest sheets' plus futon style King single fold out couch. This space is really ideal for a couple and perhaps one other person, but be reminded that the '2nd' bed is only a fold out futon couch. Brunswick Heads is known for its wildlife so you'll have a chorus of birds in the morning and no doubt some bush turkeys & water dragons roaming around. It has become necessary for us to point out, especially to less experienced Air BnB-ers, that this is not a motel and that there are plenty of fantastic motels in Brunswick Heads if that's what you're after. We don't offer room service or make breakfast (though we provide cereal). We have designed this space to accommodate the self-sufficient traveller (we'll leave you completely in privacy unless requested otherwise) who wants to get a taste of what it's like to be a local in one of Australia's most idyllic seaside towns. We're happy to help loan a bike/kayak/fishing rod. Just ask. Guest AccessThe door will be unlocked with keys inside on the table, usually from midday. You have your own BBQ and outdoor area with table, use of hammock, clothes line & outdoor bath & hot shower. Need a bike? Bruns is super flat and a joy to bike around. There are two bike rental places only a quick stroll from the studio: Brunswick Heads Bicycles 2/1 Park St Hours: Open 8am–5pm And Clems Cargo rent Vintage bikes: 38 Tweed St. We have a one person canoe for use also, you can launch it up the road in the Terrace Caravan park. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the house on the property with our nine-year-old daughter and sometimes work in the office adjacent the studio. We operate on the theory that you will prefer privacy and will leave you alone unless requested otherwise. We want you to feel like you're a local living in Bruns and can help out with local advice, even fishing rods and boogie boards. Please, if you're after a more traditional motel style stay, there are plenty of other options in Bruns. The NeighborhoodWe live in a quiet (except for the birds!), family oriented street. It's safe and peaceful yet still only a short walk to everything in Brunswick Heads. Simpsons Creek is at the end of the street through the caravan park. Bruns has THE BEST pub, fantastic cafes & restaurants and the beach and river are ridiculous! You'll love it. You may not need to even use your car - we rarely do! Getting AroundBuses to and from Brisbane/Gold Coast and Byron Bay stop in Brunswick Heads. Most local festivals have bus options to and from Bruns. The festival bus stop at the Visitors Centre is an 8 minute walk away. But a car really is the best option if you want to get further afield. Like to bike around? Bruns is super flat and a joy to bike around. There are two bike rental places only a quick stroll from the studio: Brunswick Heads Bicycles 2/1 Park St Phone: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Hours: Open 8am–5pm And Clems Cargo rent vintage bikes: 38 Tweed St Phone: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Other Things to NoteCHECKING OUT: We are flexible with arrival and departure times and we try to have a night off in between guests so you can check in and check out at midday. But if there is a booking either side of your dates, then it will be check in at 3pm, check out at 10am. TARRIFF: Before making your booking, please compare the prices with other accommodation in the area at the time eg. other studios & motels in Bruns. We follow the Airbnb recommended pricing structure with slight increases for peak periods. Please be aware of the $15 cleaning fee per stay and any airbnb fees before confirming your booking - we don't like our guests to be suprised about the final payout figure. FACILITIES: Every now & then we get guests noticing the smallest things eg. A dripping tap, the clock didn't work, we couldn't find the laneway, there was no one there to meet us. These are complaints we hope you don't have, but please let us know straight away so we can find a solution to the problem straight away. We want you to have the most enjoyable stay possible.

The SpaceDownstairs has recently been renovated inside and out, so the house has had a bit of a make-over. There is no-one living downstairs, but occasionally I stay there. The backyard has table and chairs. If you would like to hire the whole house, which sleeps 10, check out the other listing - Bruns Beach House. You can hire either the apartment which sleeps 6 or the whole house which sleeps 10. I separate the listings because sometimes I like to stay there myself. Up until recently the property has been my home. Over the years friends and family have come to visit to enjoy the simple pleasures Brunswick Heads is known for. Even though it is not polished, people always say the house has a good feel. Linen and towels are provided. The apartment is suitable for families. There is a portable cot, high chair and beach toys, as well as basic supplies such as coffee and tea making facilities. There are 2 separate single mattresses that can be put together to make a double bed. These can be used for extra guests, if necessary. If you would like to hire a car, I have one available that is kept at the property. During the Christmas and holiday period it can be hired weekly, whereas other times the minimum hire time is 2 nights. If you would like to know more about this, please message me and I can send you the details. The beach is about a 8-10 minute walk away and the village about 5 minutes. In saying that I want guests to relax and enjoy themselves and make the most of the house and all that Bruns has to offer. I hope you enjoy your stay. Bruns is such a beautiful place. The SpaceThe house has 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs. Downstairs has recently been renovated inside and out, so the house has had a bit of a make-over. There is a large area with a kitchenette (includes portable oven and 2 hotplates) and enough space for extra mattresses. It's almost as big as the top level of the house. It has one queen bed in it, a bathroom and separate toilet and a dining/living area and has access to a small backyard. The backyard has a table and chairs. The ceiling height for downstairs is only about 1.9metres, so it is a bit low. Please consider that when making a booking. If you would like to hire the top half of the house only, check out the other listing - Bruns Beach Apartment. You can hire either the apartment which sleeps minimum 6 or the whole house which sleeps minimum 10. The house is suitable for families. There is a portable cot, high chair and beach toys, as well as basic supplies such as coffee and tea making facilities. There are 2 separate single mattresses that can be put together to make a double bed and one single matress. IGA and Home Grown are a 2 minute walk up the road. The bus stop is a minute walk down the road towards the highway. Mullumbimby is about a 5 minute drive away. Guest AccessYou can access the house from the front door. I will let you know where the key is when you make a booking. Interaction with GuestsThere is no interaction with guests as I do not live in the house, but I am available if you need anything. The NeighborhoodI love the relaxed feel of Bruns. It's a beautiful place to live with the stunning river and ocean. The ocean has sent me to sleep for the part 5 years, which is so soothing and comforting. The cafes and restaurants provide great food and vibe. The pub also has some good music on, especially on Sunday afternoons. Bruns is a beautiful place to visit. It has a very relaxed feel to it and is family friendly. I get along well with my neighbours and as such respect their right to quiet. Please look at other options if you would like a party house. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop close by, but most people have a car. There is a car kept on the property that I rent out as well. Please message me if you are interested in hiring a car. Byron Bay is about a 10-15 minute drive south. Tyagarah, where the Blues Fest is held, is 5 minute drive south and Yelgun, where Splendor is held, is about 7 minutes drive north. Usually buses go from the Information Centre on Park Street in the village to these venues when the festivals are on. Other Things to NoteAs many of you know, Bruns is a small community. It's really important to me that guests staying at the apartment are considerate of the neighbours. As such, the apartment is not a party house. In saying that I want guests to relax and enjoy themselves and make the most of the house and all that Bruns has to offer. I hope you enjoy your stay. Bruns is such a beautiful place. I am sure you will have a wonderful time. A cat no longer lives at this property. Misinformation - I can't seem to find where to take this information off.
