The SpaceA granny flat attached to our home but completely separate. Self contained with its own toilet, kitchenette and (very small) shower. Room to sleep 2 in a queen size bed and we have a spare single foam mattress that a child could sleep on on the floor and a port-a-cot. Solar power and solar hot water. Pure spring water. Lots of bird life. Has incredible valley views. The bathroom is a bit pokey but we've given the whole place a new lick of paint. Fridge, TV, stove and microwave. There is wi-fi but the signal is weak in the granny flat. We will fall over ourselves to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Guest AccessYour own kitchen and bathroom. We are happy to share our laundry if required. The best spring water on the mountain. Meals are available by request. Please let us know any dietary requirements you have. Home brew on tap. Feel free to walk around the property and check out all 18 acres of it! Waterfalls, rock walls, forests and stunning views await. We do not accept responsibility, nor are we liable for any accidents that occur whilst exploring our property. Do so at your own risk. Interaction with GuestsYou decide how much you want to have to do with us. We can be on hand to help or stay right out of your way. We will be present during your stay if you require anything or any help. The NeighborhoodSituated in the peace and tranquility of the healing Currumbin Valley, the Gold Coast's best kept secret. Heaps of native flora and fauna. An abundance of wildlife, birds in particular. A waterfall on the property is accessible, recommend bringing hiking pants and boots. Close to the Currumbin Rock pools and Mt Cougal NP. Both have incredible freshwater rock pools to swim (website hidden) Cougal NP has a 400m walk to a abandoned saw mill. We also have access to our own and nearby farms' local organic produce. We highly recommend Harvest on Currumbin Creek Rd and Freeman's Farm on Tomewin Mtn Rd. Enjoy one of the best forest drives the country has to offer. Dappled light and tree-arched tunnels. No traffic and a rural setting just minutes from the suburbans. Here we are 20mins from Currumbin Beach. The Currumbin Beach Vikings SLSC has an incredible restaurant and the view is outstanding. The Currumbin RSL is one of the best in the country. Burleigh is only a 25min drive away. Surfer's Paradise 30mins. Dreamworld is 40mins away. Kingscliff is 30 mins, Byron Bay 1hr, Nimbin 1hr and Murwillumbah 20mins. Our local Currumbin Fair shopping centre has an IGA convenience store, pharmacy, bakery, bottleshop, butcher and take away stores. It is 10 minutes away. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our hillside rural property. Situated high on the hillside, as far away from roads as you can get. Remarkable views of the valley surrounded by forest and farmland. The Gold Coast's theme parks are at the northern end of the Gold Coast. We are at the southern end. Expect it to take 45-60 minutes by car to get to Dreamworld, Movieworld, Wet n Wild and SeaWorld. However, it may take less depending on traffic. It is a 75-90min drive to Brisbane. The train departs from Varsity Lakes station which is about 20mins drive away if you would like a day trip. Getting AroundSadly, there is no public transport. Taxis can be booked and I encourage the use of Uber. A car would be highly recommended for access to our place and surrounding attractions. There is ample parking here at the house. Other Things to NoteWe have a bbq on site. Whilst it is a "Bed & Breakfast" we do not have a commercial kitchen and as such, we cannot cook you breakfast. If you would like me to stock the fridge with some eggs, bacon or bread, please let me know well in advance. There will be an extra fee incurred. Feel free to bring your own food. The flat has its own kitchen with stove, oven and microwave. Our place runs on our spring water. Drink and wash in the softest water around. Feel cleansed! My home brew is on tap and ready to pour. There are often two different all grain brews ready to drink. I encourage sampling them and am happy to share. Made with the spring water here and no preservatives, means no hangovers and plenty of flavour. It's incredibly quiet and peaceful here. We are as far away from the Currumbin Creek Rd and Tomewin Mountain Rd as possible so you really just get the sea breeze and the birds. An occasional visit from the local wallabies and their joeys in late Summer/Autumn. My family has spotted a Regent Bowerbird on two occasions.

The cooler months are magical as there is an ocean of mist in the valley making you feel that you are waking up in the clouds. The SpaceWelcome to my home, This large unique space was originally constructed as a barn and over time we have built it in, made it cosy, installed a fire place and hung a few pictures. At the front there is a bar (BYO) which is great for entertaining groups. The sleeping arrangements are open dorm style accommodation and are screens and curtains for privacy this enviroment is great for young families, groups of friends and travellers/backpackers. Our lodge is a quiet and relaxing space with all the amenities of home equipped with a kitchen for cooking and a makeshift kitchenette for guests. There are BBQ facilities and the bar has gas and electric stoves. There are two bathrooms, one is inside and the other a basic balinese style toilet, shower, with bathtub located outside looking out over the forest which is a personal highlight. Something special about soaking in a hot bath under the stars after a day of walking or work in my case. There are many walking trails located on the property and days can be spent wandering around. There are popular swimming holes next door also which is only a short walk down the hill from the lodge. It isn't 5 star accommodation and it is a bush house. I promise the beds will be freshly made and clean towels are available. Due to being located out of the city if you aren't driving then restaurants and shops are some distance and I am not always available to drive into town each day. My recommendation is to bring food and drinks. Guest AccessGuests have access to most of the property although the there are private locations on the property that we ask that guests respect. Interaction with GuestsI want to allow the guests to be left to enjoy the time and space. If you do need anything I am always available. Night and day. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is quiet generally except for people visiting the national park on those sunny days. Recommended places of interest are noted within the guidebook. I would like to ensure that my guests are in tune with this also. :) Getting AroundYou will need to use a vehicle to arrive. There is no public transport but taxis do come out this way. I am also available to do transfers for a fee and if booked prior. Other Things to NoteSorry my herb and vegetable garden is young. I reccommend shopping on the way. The covered barbecue area near a large pool seats 8 (12 with a nearby bench) and becomes the centre of the home with panoramic views. It's a perfect location for a large family reunion, or a break from city life for friends seeking relaxation and fun. During cool winter evenings the wood stove will keep you cozy. Through the Queensland heat enjoy a large pool surrounded by decks and comfortable shaded areas and a home designed to open for breezes, with solar powered aircon as backup. Three bedrooms are located in a separate wing attached by decks. They sleep up to six (one queen, one king and one double bed). All bedrooms open onto a rainforest garden veranda or have sweeping valley views. A shed 'bunkhouse' has another queen sized bed and bunks. Comfy couches offer further accommodation. The main bathroom has bathtub and a sliding wall that opens to the forest if you fancy a bath with a view. The master bedroom also has an on-suite, and the bunkhouse has another toilet + shower. The most magical aspect if this place is its natural setting. Wallabies regularly wander between the home and the neighbour’s property. You will wake up to a gentle symphony of birds as the sun hits valley walls… Guest AccessGuests can drive down to Burleigh Beach in 20 minutes, and the Gold Coast Airport is 25 minutes away. Walk along our lovely road in the evenings where neighbours enjoy 8 acre blocks like ours. Dine down at the Coast at our famed restaurants and/or cook from home. We're easy to find though hidden away, and we'll leave you tips for uncovering the very best of the Gold Coast. Interaction with GuestsIf you rent a room, we are guessing you like dogs like us. You can expect a large lovely bedroom with a Queen sized bed and a bathroom to die for. Nice sheets and towels, including big beach towels you can sink into. We look forward to sharing the kitchen and lounge room, pool and massive deck and covered BBQ area. Games are us: we have heaps for all ages. There are acres of creek, forest and gardens to explore, or you can head to the beach and Burleigh for brekkie and/or dinner. If you rent the entire house we can leave or hang in the shed bunkhouse, depending on how many beds you need, after consulting with you. If we are there - promise you'll have as much privacy as you want. If we aren't there - we are a phone call away if you have questions or want ideas for local fun stuff to do. The NeighborhoodThe Gold Coast hinterland is full of cool people with all kinds of stories to share. Our valley road is 5 kilometres long and ends at the top of a catchment with a forest bowl. We are surrounded by 8 acre blocks. Half our property is landscaped and half is forest. A creek runs through the block in wet season. Our neighbours are wonderful, very friendly. Getting AroundThere is no public transport - you need to rent a car from the airport or drive your own, or find a friendly Uber driver who can take you to the beach or drop you at the airport. The nearest corner shop is 15 minutes away; there's a supermarket to stock up 20 minutes away near the beach. We'll leave you a map of where to find what you need. Other Things to NoteBecause we are a 20 minute drive from shops, food planning is a good idea unless you plan to do all meals down the valley. We will leave fresh bread, milk, coffee and tea, and room in the fridge/freezer to store food. There's space in the bar fridge to store your drinks. Plan ahead for meals and you will enjoy cooking as if in a forest - but with all the amenities and a kitchen that lets you enjoy cooking together. Notes for how to use the sound system, TV, wireless network and US Netflix/AppleTV will set you up for a good stay. We are in a semi-rural setting but get free to air just fine. The wireless network enables you to work in the shade by the pool in case you are wired that way. We are a dog/cat friendly home - your pets are welcome if they're part of your holiday.

Zeta's Coffee is a boutique coffee growing and roasting enterprise in the Tweed hinterland of Northern New South Wales. We have 18 years experience in growing coffee and 14 years experience as an award winning master roaster. The coffee is grown, using natural production systems, free of pesticides, in the green hills of the Tweed where rainfall is plentiful and the volcanic soils add an exquisite richness to the coffee. You can "Taste the Tweed". As artisan coffee producers we value the input of the community in our business. So, if you have considered Fairtrade coffee, why not support a local, sustainable product and stimulate the local economy. We offer a range of products from our own Wirui Estate coffee through to truly wicked blends of local and imported beans." Getting AroundYou could certainly catch a taxi or Uber it to the property from Gold Coast Airport probably a 20 minute drive but if you wanted to really explore the area your own car would be preferable Other Things to NoteBecause you will be staying on this rural estate you will need to be aware of a few safety measures: Please ensure doors without screens are closed when you are not monitoring those doors and when you are sleeping to prevent any kind of wildlife entering, everyone likes a good Wallaby or Echidna sighting but preferably not in the kitchen or at the end of your bed when you wake up! Likewise although the owners have not sighted any snakes near the house in years it is suggested that you do not walk out onto the paved area at night immediately around the house without first putting the lights on and ensuring your path is clear You will be staying on an operational coffee estate so you may see the odd worker wandering around the estate but the house and immediate surrounding area are for your exclusive use during your stay
