The Spacesurf and train i am into my surfing was a life saver i live in a quiet street i also am a fitness loving person . I used to be a boxer and have a gym and boxing ring at home i am looking for people to stay at 1 week at a time who love to surf and would also like to train in fitness. I am also a trainer and can help people who want a holiday and a good lifestyle for one week at a time. I live 5 km from the beaches

The NeighborhoodStockton is a 3 minute ferry ride from Newcastle which has a vibrant cafe, restaurant and wine bar scene taking advantage of our beautiful working harbour. Stockton is close to the highly ranked Newcastle Golf Course and convenient for trips to Nelson Bay to see the dolphins and whales in season or sample the wonderful wine in the Hunter Valley. Stockton has a safe children's beach, good coffee and casual meals enjoying water views. It's a great place to surf,cycle, kayak, paddle board, fish, 4 wheel drive or hire a dune buggy for Stockton sand dunes. Getting AroundThe ferry (1km) and beach (800m) are within walking distance. Alternatively there is a bus that runs to the ferry with a stop 250m from the house.

The SpaceSPECIAL OFFER FOR LONGER BOOKINGS IN JANUARY HOLIDAYS! $45 / NIGHT (OR $60 FOR 3PPL). PLEASE SEND AN ENQUIRY FOR MORE INFO. The guest bedroom is at the back of the house. It has a double futon bed with the recent addition of a good quality foam overlay. It ideally accommodates 1-2 adults but there is a single air mattress or a portacot available for a little person if required, assuming you don't mind squeezing into the one room ($25 for extra/child). Older couples, please note; My only mixed reviews have regarded the comfort of getting down to a bed &/or a mattress less soft than usual. If you require a lounge or 100pc bug-free environment (alongside pets including chooks in a relatively eco house), perhaps keep looking for something you'll be sure about. The room has a ceiling fan, a safe electric heater w timer and a tv with some free-to-air channels/dvd player. Breakfast ingredients are provided on the open shelves in the kitchen- cereals & milk, bread & spreads, fruit, ground and instant coffee/tea etc., an espresso machine, gas stovetop and probably freshly-laid eggs! There is a second fridge with a freezer entirely available for your personal use. The other fridge and pantries are for my private use. Guest AccessMy humble home and garden offers peace and privacy during your stay. The back half of the house, including the kitchen/dining, bathroom/laundry and backyard is available for use by guests and accessible by doors at the side and back of the house. (The front half of the house is locked off for my family-use although we won't be home.) Interaction with GuestsThe dates available on my calender are those when my family and I will not be there so if you'd like to stay it's all yours and we probably won't meet. I will give you a pin code for the key safe and ask that you let our (largely outside) cat, Kitty in the back door porch to eat from her biscuit dispenser a couple of times a day. In return, you get to enjoy the 1-2 fresh eggs the chooks lay daily. There are local maps and info on local activities in a folder in your room. The NeighborhoodI love Maryville, with its old homes, sense of community and increasingly, alternative, environmentally-conscious and upmarket vibe. My house is a 2 minute walk from the Throsby Creek bicycle path/walkway that takes you into the harbour/Honeysuckle precinct with its many bars and restaurants, the cbd and Newcastle's stunning main beaches. There is a cool new artisan bakery cafe called Baked Uprising, a pie shop, a takeaway/kebab shop, a 7/11 petrol station and an Ice Box Liquor all just around the corner from the house. It is a 5-10 minute walk to The Source Cafe on the waterfront (which does breakfast, lunch & dinner) and a 3 minute walk to the bus stops that will take you to the CBD and university. The large Islington Park playground is a 15 minute walk away along the creek front path. A 15 minute walk will also take you to the highlights of groovy neighbouring suburb of Wickham with its street art, the fisherman's co-op, the much-loved Inner City Winemakers cellardoor at 28 Church St, the Art Systems Wickham gallery on Annie street, the fish coop, yacht club & 3 different pubs. Getting AroundThere is usually on-street parking on my side of the block. Points of interest are easily accessible from my house by the Throsby Creek walking/cycle path, by the nearby bus stops, train (Hamilton station is a 20min walk away) or car...see the maps and brochures in the room for ideas of what to do during your stay. It is an easy 20 minute drive from the Newcastle Airport. Other Things to NoteThe chooks and cat can be virtually ignored although they also like company. I'll send helpful pet/egg-collection advice upon booking.

The SpaceOur house is a peaceful retreat minutes from CBD. It is a renovated terrace built in 1880. The room is at the front of the house on the ground floor with access via the front door. This means you do not need to enter the main part of the house at all if you don't wish to. An ensuite adds to the privacy of the space. Access to a lovely peaceful garden via french doors provides a lovely place to sit or enjoy a glass of wine. We have two, very friendly small dogs. Guest AccessAccess to washing machine and dryer at a small fee, bike hire also available. Upon request additional mattresses can be provided at $20 per night. Guests are free to relax in the garden. Interaction with GuestsWe are a busy working family but we are flexible in terms of interaction. We are happy to leave you to your selves or to have a chat and get to know you. The NeighborhoodCarrington has a small village atmosphere with cafés, bars, restaurants and pubs all a short walking distance from the house. It has enjoyable walking/cycling tracks beside the harbour, tennis courts, fishing and stand up paddle boarding for the energetic! Getting AroundThe local bus takes you straight into the city and can be caught just across the road. It is a nice walk into the city but an even better way to travel is by push bike using the cycle tracks. The train station is a five minute drive away and connects you to Sydney as well as a variety of suburban and rural destinations. Other Things to NoteWe have two, very friendly small dogs.

It offers the best of both worlds - a quiet area but so close to all the action! Getting AroundIt is easy to walk everywhere from Carrington; or make use of the two bicycles to explore the region. The SpaceOur home is a 3 bedroom house with a lounge room and separate family dinning and kitchen space. The three bedrooms consist of: one queen size bed in the master, a double bunk bed with a single on top in the spare room and the kids room has a bunk bed and a cot. We have a bath with shower, and separate toilette. We have French folding doors that open out onto the deck, and into the yard. We have a sandpit out the back. To the side of the kitchen out of the double doors is a big BBQ. We have a veggie and herb garden and a strawberry patch that you are welcome too. The pictures we have put up aren't perfect but give you and idea what it's like. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole house. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is a great place to visit, it's so close to town- a 10 minute drive at the most and a 20-30 minute bike ride. We are a 20 minute walk to Beaumont St, which is a great street to for cafes, shopping, antique stores, restaurants, and pubs. But there are also cafes & pubs a 5 minute walk from where we are. We have some favourites that we will let you know about that are a must to check out. Getting AroundWe park on the street. At the end of Ferndale St, there are buses that will take you into town, or wherever you'd like to go. Otherwise it's a 20 minute walk to Hamilton Train Station. There are hire care options too, close to our home.

We are both very approachable and want you to let us know if there is anything you need. We'll provide easy information on local sites, cafes, restaurants and activities to make your stay great. The NeighborhoodTighes Hill is a lovely community with passers by always saying hello. There are a couple of great local cafes within walking distance and even a couple of dress shops. Walking tracks along the water lead right to the heart of the city in 30 minutes and to the beautiful Nobby's beach in an extra 5-10 minutes. Antiques stores are within walking distance as is the hub of activity that is Beaumont St in Hamilton. Beaches aplenty in Newcastle for whatever your fancy, lying around, surfing, volleyball, kite surfing, fishing etc. Markets are a part of the Newcastle culture including weekly farmers markets and monthly artisan markets. Getting AroundPublic transport is close as we have 2 bus stops literally outside our door but you can also get around relatively easily on foot as well. Off street secure parking is available.

There is access to public transport less than 100 meters from our door step. If we aren't too busy and you need a lift somewhere close we would be more than happy to help. Other Things to NoteWe have a dog Harvey who is our 'fur baby' he is very excited by new people however sometimes can be scared or shy. We hope anyone who stays in our home is ok with dogs however if he proves to love you to much we will make sure he understands to give you your space.

    2 bedroom house available from 23rd to 4th jan to rent well we go away. 200 a night if stay more than 6 nights then 150 a night. 5 min drive to Newcastle centre, anystay over 6 days will drop the price to 150 a night or if staying the whole time will come up with a lower price for whole stay. nice family area with park across the road , and a bowls club with raffels of every night witch is a a great place to take the kids like we and meany other parents do for a good night out .

Other Things to NoteHere are a few of our top recommendations for places to visit and eat as proud Novocastrians (people from Newcastle): ️Honeysuckle whalf- restaurant area overlooking Newcastle Harbor. There are many great places. My personal favorite is MoneyPenny which is great for tapas and drinks. ️Darby street - another lively resultant and bar street with fantastic food. ️Merewether Beach - Newcastle's most famous beach. Great cafe overlooking the beach - Blue door kiosk, or further along Mereweather beach is Mereweather Surfhouse, a 3 level restaurant and bar purpose built facility with stunning views. ️Shoal Bay (Port Stephens area) - lovely beach for some sun baking and leisurely dipping in the ocean. Rarely any waves at this beach, also an amazing fish and chip shop across the road (Bob's). From the ferry wharf in Newcastle it is a short walk to the Honeysuckle dining district, as well as Hunter Street Mall for shopping and breakfast cafes. Getting AroundIt is only a 13 minute bike ride, 25 minute walk, or 4 minute drive to the ferry wharf and a 3 minute ferry ride to Newcastle CBD. We are located approx 12 minutes from Newcastle Airport, 45 minutes from Port Stephens and 1 hour to the magnificent Hunter Valley Vineyards. Also only a 15 minute drive to Newcastle Entertainment Centre and Newcastle University. If flying into Newcastle Airport, happy to pick you up if I'm available, for $15. If arriving by ferry, also happy to collect you if I'm available for $5. Plenty of on street parking. Bus stop in adjacent street that runs to the shopping centre, ferry wharf and Fern Bay. If you don't mind walking, most things in Stockton are in walking distance. Bicycles are provided for guests to use. They are also able to be taken aboard the ferry. Bikes are available for hire close by in Honeysuckle and the bike path can take you on many adventures to scenic and gourmet excursions. The Pacific Hwy is close by and the airport is approximately 20 mins drive. There are shuttle services to and from the airport or there are taxis for hire. Other Things to NoteThe space is not child friendly to toddlers as the stairs are open. There is a small friendly dog at the rear of the premises (you may hear but not see him on arrival!) plus a cat that makes an appearance if he is feeling brave.

Did we mention we love growing vegies as well, depending on the season we might have some fresh home grown tomatoes, beetroot, carrots, eggplants, beans or something else delicious for you to add to your dinner/snack on. You are always welcome to help yourself to the herbs growing on your balcony as well of course. (I often pick at the lettuces while reading in the hammock myself). The NeighborhoodCarrington is a beautiful local village and island in Newcastle harbour. Half the island is industrial shipping and half is made up of cute miners cottages and small homes like ours. It's a truly unique place and has a such a small village feel while still being very central to Newcastle city. Our home is two blocks from the harbour and four blocks from Carrington village shops, pubs and cafes. The walk to the city centre or Newcastle Beach is about a 40min stroll along the harbour. Getting AroundWe are two blocks from the closest bus stop (10mins to the city/beach/shops, 30mins to University). It is a 10min taxi or uber ride from Hamilton train station (Sydney trains). We have on the street parking which is free all day. Other Things to NoteOur home uses carbon offset green power purchased through powershop. We also minimise our energy and water usage where we can. We hope income from Airbnb will help us invest in solar panels for our roof in the near future.

            My place is close to Situated on Dunbar St, between Flint St. and Cardigan St, “Stockton by the Sea” is just 200m from the sea; you will be serenaded to sleep each night by the crashing waves.
