The boat ramp is about 400m from the house and a great boardwalk up the river starts there. Nearby Woolgoolga offers all the services such as supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Recently renovated, the Escape Hatch has been furnished with comfort in mind with a fun, retro feel. It has a new kitchen with Smeg appliances and a new shower and vanity in the bathroom. The SpaceFinns beach house is a four bedroom home situated on the beachfront of Wooli. Our yard is fully fenced so we welcome you to bring your pet on holiday with you (yes we love your pet as much as you do so bring them along). Your nightly rate includes linen and bath towels. Finns has free wifi for our guests to use and we also have Foxtel installed with sports channel as an extra feature for those lovers of sport that don't want to miss any of the action. If you are out enjoying all that Wooli has to offer feel free to record your program and watch it when you're back at Finns relaxing. We have prerecorded heaps of movies for children and adults so feel free to scroll through. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of dinnerware and cutlery and enough pots and pans to cook up a storm if you want to. There is a nespresso machine for coffee lovers (if you bring pods make sure they are nespresso compatible) and we will leave a selection of pods and tea bags to start you off with. We supply quality linen for all beds (Morgan and Finch quilt covers and sheet sets) with comfy pillows which are replaced frequently. The bedrooms consist of 2 queen rooms 1 double and 1 single room. Outside is a large fully fenced yard which is big enough to play in or the dog to roam and a large deck with a huge table and chairs to sit around and enjoy a BBQ. We have a BBQ and gas is supplied so make sure you bring a steak to cook or better yet catch some fish to pop on the BBQ. We are a family of 7 and we all fit in with ease there is plenty of space inside and outside at Finns, you certainly won't be tripping over each other. My favourite part of Finns Beach House is the secluded knoll at the top of our property with a large table and chairs to sit at and take in the view of the ocean and listen to waves crash onto the shore. It is perfect for that morning coffee or afternoon drink. I love watching the sunset from here, with the Solitary Islands in the distance turning orange as the sun drops, it is a spectacular sight. For the avid fisherman the beach out the front of Finns has some great gutters so beach fishing is a must and the great thing is it's right on your door step, or if river fishing is your thing you just have to walk 100m across the road and drop a line in. With the beach behind Finns and the River in front you have the best of both worlds. We would love to share our paradise with you, come relax and enjoy. Interaction with GuestsI am always her to help if need be but if you need something our neighbour Nick is the man to see. He has been looking after Finns for us forever and he can help you a lot easier and quicker than us as we don't live near by. Nick lives at 107 Main street practically across the road from Finns, even if you don't need anything feel free to say hi as he is the man that opens the door for you and leaves you the key to your perfect holiday house. The NeighborhoodWhat I love to do in Wooli. I love fishing but thats not everyones cup of tea so if you don't like to fish this is what I recommend. Hire a BBQ pontoon and take a dander up the river its easy to get around and the kids love it, the water is still so children can swim easily. There is a huge sand dune on the other side of the river that the children love sliding down, it's best if you take a boogy board with you then you can get some speed up. The bowls club usually has extra things on during school holidays i.e. barefoot bowls and junior bingo just check their sign out the front and it will let you know what's on. Every Friday night they have the meat and seafood raffles at the bowls club and they have plenty of seafood and meat trays to win. The draw starts from 630pm. We always take a drive to Minnie Waters for a day out there is a shop there were you can get burgers and other hot food, or take a picnic with you there are heaps of nice spots to set up a day camp and enjoy the beach. My favourite drive is to a place called Diggers camp there are no shops so pack an esky for your trip, the beach is very quiet and the surfing is quite good. If you are lucky you might see Emus on your way, we have seen Emus there. There is another pub up the road from Finns which has a courtesy bus, they serve breakfast lunch and dinner. I prefer the Bowls club as it is a two minute walk from Finns but it doesn't serve food all day but at night Harry's Chinese restaurant is open and its great. I would recommend Friday night raffles and then Harrys for dinner most of Wooli will be there. Thursday night bingo at the Bowls club is always a bit of fun for the children to play as well. If you love fishing a must do is the deep sea fishing charter, just walk down past the Bowls club and caravan park and you'll find him on the riverside, they sell bait and tackle as well. For the seafood lovers the local Co-op sells beautiful local oysters and prawns and have hot seafood, great for a quick lunch and it's only 100m away from Finns and they stock a few of the essentials. If you run low on supplies you can stock up at the local store next to the main pub.

The SpaceSans souci beach house @ red rock aims to capture the quintessential Aussie beachside experience. Remembering our own childhood holidays in sleepy coastal villages we have aimed to create a relaxing and welcoming beach house that provides for beachside action as well as relaxation. Guest AccessThe whole house is yours! You are welcome to use the bikes, canoe, kayak and all of the beach equipment as well as the books, movies and games. These are our cherished belongings and we hope that our guests enjoy sharing them with us, as well as looking after them as we do! Keys are on-site and a code is provided to registered guests. This means you can check in anytime after 2pm as suits your arrival time. Interaction with GuestsWe are in Sydney however we have a local manager and local tradies who are available should something need attention during your stay. We are available via phone and text (text is more reliable as the reception is variable) and try and answer any questions or queries. The NeighborhoodRed Rock is part of the Gumbayngirr Nation that stretches from the Nambucca River in the South, the Clarence River in the North, and the Great Dividing Range in the West. The Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre just down the road at Corindi invites visitors to share the stories and culture of the Garby elders. There are many sacred sites and areas of cultural significance in Red Rock and the surrounding area such as fish traps and midden piles. Red Rock was a holiday destination from the early 1900's, where families would hike in, mostly from Grafton way and camp out, with fishing and swimming the main attractions. The road in followed later and the first subdivision was in the 1950's. Many of the houses in the lower part of Red Rock remain the original fibro and weatherboard cottages (lovingly maintained on the most part) from this era and you can really feel like you are going back in time when strolling or biking the original streets. The second subdivision (where sans souci beach house is located) was later in the 1960's and many of the houses in this area (including sans souci beach house) reflect the later 1960's style of fibro weatherboard. There are a few new houses and renovated cottages in town, however as Red Rock remains on septic tanks and rainwater, development is limited and the character of the town remains much as it has been for at least 40 years. Many of our guests return after many years, one family came back to holiday at Red Rock after a 30 year gap and remarked the town had hardly changed at all!! This is what we love about Red Rock, the sleepy fishing village vibe hasn't changed much, and we can get back to the classic Aussie beach holiday! Getting AroundRed Rock is not well serviced by public transport although there is a bus there from Grafton and Coffs Harbour operated by Ryans bus service. It would be a little difficult to manage without a car, so if you fly to Coffs Harbour (35 mins Sth) or Grafton (40 mins Nth) it is recommended to hire a rental car. Other Things to NoteI don't know about you, but arriving to a house where I have to bring absolutely everything, or when I get 2 dishwasher tablets and one chux cloth and tea towel for my whole week stay really bothers me! That's why we provide the essentials for your whole stay! We also provide lots of the fun stuff, noodles, bikes, kayak etc, so you don't need a trailer to bring all of yours from home. (Bring personal toiletries) To avoid wasting time grocery shopping, order online from Coles or Woolies. Both deliver to the house. To avoid disappointment, allow for substitutions on your choices. If you want to shop in person head to Woopi Woolies or the Supa-IGA or Coles Moonee Beach. Port-a-Cot and high chair available. Please let us know so we can set it up for your arrival. The SpaceOcean at your doorstep - 3 bedroom Funky Beachfront Cottage with ocean views in abundance! Guest AccessFull access to home Interaction with Guestsnone - The NeighborhoodWhat Makes Clarence Coast so Special? Because of its stunning natural scenery, the laid-back vibe, clean air and water and the abundance of outdoor attractions, The Clarence Coast is a very special part of Northern NSW and indeed, Australia. Who wouldn’t want to have a property here? The Clarence Coast is surrounded by Yuraygir National Park and encompasses the main town of Wooli, the smaller town of Minnie Water and even smaller communities called Diggers Camp, Sandon, Tucabia and Pillar Valley. WOOLI IS WAITING! Motorists who turn off the Pacific Highway 10 kilometres south of Grafton past the big Wooli sign must wonder what they will find at the end of the road. It curves and dips through the hamlet of Pillar Valley and the unspoilt Yuraygir National Park, past the gleaming expanse of Lake Hiawatha, and emerges in the small settlement of Wooli. As you drive into the village, on one side, the roar of the ocean can be heard; on the other, the broad Wooli Wooli River makes its leisurely way down to the sea. On the narrow spit between, with its string of character beach homes, lies Wooli, waiting to cast its spell over yet another unsuspecting visitor. Visitors to Wooli often describe it as “sleepy”, “peaceful” or “laid-back”. But there is no shortage of things to do here - as a holiday destination, Wooli has something for everyone. The wide, stunning beach attracts surfers and swimmers, fishermen and fossickers, beach cricketers and sandcastle builders. Best of all, it is never crowded, even in popular holiday times and there is safe patrolled swimming in peak seasons. Serious bushwalkers and meanderers alike will relish the picturesque 8km walk along the beach and clifftops, around fascinating rockpools, to Wilson’s Headland and the tiny village of Diggers Camp, via National Park boardwalks to Minnie Waters and on to the settlement of Sandon, which is only accessible from the beach. For nature lovers, there is a thriving variety of coastal flora and fauna in the longest stretch of undeveloped coastline in NSW – banksias, paperbarks, several mangrove species, wildflowers (especially impressive from August to October), and wildlife unique to this subtropical/temperate climate such as the endangered coastal emu. Dolphins and occasional whales are common sights off this spectacular shoreline. Of particular interest to bushwalkers and nature lovers is the Yuraygir Coastal Walk, four days from Angourie to Red Rock, staying overnight in Minnie Waters and Wooli. Fishing has been an integral part of Wooli activities since it was first settled and a profitable fishing fleet operated from its river moorings. Recreational fishing is still popular and fishing equipment is available for sale in local businesses. When you have finished being inspired by the fabulous beach, take a look at the Wooli Wooli River on the other side of the peninsula. A huge sand dune towers over its western bank and a dignified cluster of well-fed pelicans perch serenely on the mooring posts near the boat ramp. It is reputedly the cleanest river in NSW, unsullied by industry or farming. Baby oysters grow fat in these waters and Wooli oysters appear on restaurants Australia-wide. Freshly-shucked oysters and other seafood from the Oyster supply on Riverside Drive are available almost all year round. Safe swimming spots along the riverbank are paradise for kids. Swim, fish, yabby, canoe, birdwatch or sleep in the sun – it’s your choice. The upper reaches of the river can be explored by boat – yours or hired. A day on the Wooli Explorer, complete with back deck barbecue and a friendly driver, is a must. There is simply no better way to immerse yourself in the simple joys of Wooli or to observe the kangaroos, emus, black-necked storks, brolgas, kingfishers, parrots and other wildlife that throng the banks of this imposing waterway. Don’t miss the chance to experience the wild beauty and world-class dive sites of the Solitary Island Marine Park just a boat ride away. These sites feature frequently in international diving publications. Wooli, its beach, river and village, attracts artists and photographers from all over Australia. If tranquillity, simple pleasures, the great outdoors, superb scenery, friendly locals and the choice of doing plenty or nothing is what you want, Wooli is waiting. At the end of your stay, we know you’ll be as wild about our tiny town as we are. So go on: make some memories in Wooli. DIGGERS CAMP If you thrive on “latte culture”, don’t go to Diggers Camp, 6k from Wooli down a gravel road. If however solitude and unparalleled peace and quiet are your bag, Diggers has just 15 houses, all of which supply their own electricity through solar power and use only rain water. To make up for a lack of sophisticated facilities, breathtaking nature is at your very door – best of all, you don’t have to share it with holiday crowds. You can always go to “The Big Smoke” of Wooli for supplies and nightlife! SANDON Even more delightfully untouched is the village of Sandon, which is accessible only from the beach. Sublime and unbelievable are words that come to mind, along with “I’d love to live here”. Wallabies graze on the short grass and there is a peace and tranquillity that you don’t experience in many places. Click here to view information on Wooli to Sandon scenic drive. MINNIE WATER The delightfully named Minnie Water is a small coastal village completely surrounded by the Yuraygir National Park. The village is a picture when the Christmas Bells or the Flannel Flowers bloom in the surrounding parklands. Over 120 species of wildflower have been identified around Minnie Water. There are two short but picturesque walks in the national park: Angophora Grove Walk and Rocky Point Walk. The rock platforms extending seawards to Rocky Point offer hours of entertainment for those who enjoy examining the microcosm of marine life in tidal pools and rock crevices. Sea urchins, star fish, cunjevoi, coral and a variety of sponges and shells may be found in this area. Minnie Lagoon is a very popular and beautiful spot for swimming, picnics and safe boat launchings. To find this spot, turn into Hiawatha Road, then left at Pipers Hill following the Waratah Reserve along to the Tree of Knowledge Lookout where there is a steep sealed road down to the lagoon. Perched on a headland overlooking the splendid white beach, Minnie Waters offers a one-stop store for fuel, general supplies, alcohol and good coffee. Chill out with a yoga class overlooking the beach or if you feel really energetic, shake your bootie to a zumba beat. Getting AroundNo public transport. Curtesy buses operate from the Wooli Bowling Club and the Wooli Hotel Other Things to NoteBring your own linen (sheets only), bath/beach towels. We supply bath/shower mats, tea-towels, cleaning products, cling wrap, alfoil, basic pantry staples and a Gas BBQ supplied.
