The SpaceMy room is modern,quiet,comfortable and very clean with a queen size bed, own private balcony and use of own bathroom. My unit is within walking distance of beaches,marina,cinema,shops,buses and several restaurants. I am close to all that Nelson Bay has to offer. The SpaceLarge room available upstairs in 3 bedroom house in Nelson Bay The room is fully furnished. Linen and towels are included. The house has 2 bathrooms with a shower, toilet and bath (guests have their own bathroom upstairs), a carport for 2 cars (one for guest parking) a laundry (with a washing machine and clothes dryer), and is centrally located very close to Nelson Bay CBD (a 3 minute walk). The guest bedroom has a queen-size bed and also a couch/sofa bed (futon) and small TV/DVD player. The guest bedroom would accommodate up to 4 people. There is also another sofabed downstairs in the living room - the house would accommodate 6 people in total. Children are welcome. There is another guest bedroom downstairs available for larger groups with air conditioning. It has a TV with DVD player in-built and has a lock on the door. There is a shared bathroom opposite the guest bedroom downstairs. There is airconditioning/heating (reverse cycle) in the guest bedroom upstairs, and also downstairs in the living room. Tea/coffee and a continental breakfast (cereal/toast/juice/yoghurt/fruit) are included. There is an electric barbeque which you are welcome to use in addition to the kitchen. A short stroll to the marina, restaurants and cafes in Nelson Bay. A 5 minute walk to Dutchman's Bay. Located right in the heart of town. There is a Seafood Co operative at D'Albora Marina, which is a few minutes' walk. There are some great restaurants about 3 minutes walking distance in the Nelson Bay CBD, including Thai, Indian and Italian restaurants, Sandpiper's, Depz and the Nelson Bay Bowling Club and the Nelson Bay Golf Club (a short walk). There is a large Woolworth's supermarket in the CBD and an IGA supermarket (5 minutes drive) in Austral Street, Nelson Bay. The Nelson Bay Cinema Complex is also located on Stockton Street, in the Cinema Mall, diagonally opposite Woolworth's. Lots of great walks, including Tomaree Mountain and Fingal Spit. Only 50 minutes drive to Newcastle. Nelson Bay has markets every Sunday. It is about 30 minutes by car to Newcastle Airport at Williamtown. There are also buses frequently going into Nelson Bay from Newcastle Airport. Port Stephens Coaches also has a daily route to Sydney. You will enjoy being so close to town, particularly being able to stroll home after an evening meal. You will not need to really drive at all around Nelson Bay. A very central location. There is a taxi rank about 3 minutes away in Donald Street. There are also buses (Port Stephens Coaches) that stop regularly on Donald Street and on nearby Government Road. It is about a 10 minute drive to the Salamander Bay shopping centre, which has Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets and other specialty stores, including Kmart. A great spot to visit. There are several whale-watching cruise boats that operate around the Bay. There is also a ferry which makes regular trips between Nelson Bay and Tea Gardens. This is a great day trip, and there are several lunch spots at Tea Gardens , including the the Tea Gardens Hotel and The Boatshed restaurant. Summer is a great time of year to visit Port Stephens. Beautiful weather and great beaches. It is a 5 minute drive to Shoal Bay beach, about 10 minutes to Fingal Beach, 15 minutes to Birubi Beach and 15 minutes to One Mile Beach. There is kayak hire, stand-up paddle-boarding and bike rental in Nelson Bay. It is currently whale-watching season in Port Stephens. There are several dolphin watch cruises available, including the Moonshadow, but there are also many vantage points locally where you may see whales at this time of year. Looking forward to seeing you in Port Stephens soon. You will never want to leave. Guest AccessGuests have access to kitchen, laundry, both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, living rooms, verandah outside, clothes line, iron and ironing board upstairs and reading spot upstairs. They have access to pots and pans, plates, etc in the kitchen and also an electric barbeque to be used outside. There is Wi-fi, Netflix (via Chromecast on each TV) and access to a printer/photocopier. There are books, magazines and DVDs in the living room and upstairs that guests can access at any time. The NeighborhoodIt is so close to both the Nelson Bay town centre and also close to the beach. It is so easy to walk around the local area, particularly when going into Nelson Bay for dinner at night. There is no supermarket in the Nelson Bay CBD at the moment, but the IGA supermarket in Austral Street, Nelson Bay is about 5 minutes away by car. The Salamander Shopping Centre is a 10 minute drive, and has Coles, Aldi and Woolworth's supermarkets in the complex. Getting AroundThere are buses that stop in Donald Street nearby and also a taxi rank in Donald Street. There is a bus from Newcastle Airport (Williamtown) that stops at Nelson Bay. Port Stephens Coaches stop in Nelson Bay near Woolworth's supermarket in Donald Street. and have a daily run to and from Sydney (Central Station) Other Things to NoteThere is a shared driveway.

    Kind caring family, we live a 15 minute walk from the beach 5 minute walk to the shops .. google nelson bay australia and you will understand ! its paradise... beaches every way you turn.. we live in a 3 bedroom house plus study, wanting to rent out my room to friendly travellers as a way to save for my own overseas travelling trip! i have a sister thats 10 and i live with my parents .. as a family we have travelled around the world so the idea of opening our house up sounds perfect to us as a whole family! ... very safe area and a tourist destination a short walk to the marina where whale watch cruises leave daily .. airport is 40 minutes away.

      Just 90mins up the Freeway from Sydney, an ideal weekend or holiday escape for a group of friends or two families. Spacious house on a huge, fenced level block with well-kept lawns and surrounded by gardens. Plenty of outside areas for al-fresco dining alongside the main house with a separate bunk house. 'This'lldo' Hawks Nest is one of a few 4-bedroom options in the area. The main house has 3 bedrooms - one with a Queen bed, one with a Double bed and the 3rd with a single bed and a single bunk bed, sleeping 7 people. There is a 3-way bathroom with vanity, separate shower and bath and separate toilet. The external bunk house has 2 x single bunk beds sleeping 4. It also has a self-contained shower and toilet. The large, flat rear yard is fully-fenced and secure and safe for children and pets. Please note that pets are permitted only with prior approval of the property owner. Hawks Nest is a great get away option for beach-goers and nature lovers...it's surrounded on all sides by water...Bennetts Ocean beach to the east (safety patrolled in the Summer months), Nelson Bay beaches to the south/southwest, Myall Lakes and River to the north and west. Mungo Brush National Park is next door with bush walks and sand dunes - ideal for walking, playing, cycling, fishing, swimming and lots more.           The SpaceOur Tree House Walk down the path from the carport and let yourself in, you will walk in to the main living area and the three glass doors allows you the feeling you are indeed in a tree house. Up amongst the trees brings peace and the verandah is an ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. You can enjoy a barbeque on the verandah or make use of the fully equipped kitchen complete with a coffee plunger. Under the flat screen TV there is a WII to entertain you if it happens to rain, also some games in the dresser to entertain the children. The DVD player also helps to entertain. Up a small flight of stairs you will find 2 queen sized bedrooms and a twin room. Bed linen and towels are supplied. There is a rather sizable bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity, plus a separate toilet. The laundry is fully equipped, with a washing machine and drier, also a clothes airer and ironing . Th3 dishwasher is a new welcome addition. Guest AccessThe whole house is yours to enjoy for you holiday. The NeighborhoodThere are great neighbours who lookout for our guests. If you have a problem just knock on a front door and they will help. Other Things to NoteThe Area The tree house is situated 10 minutes’ walk from the township of Nelson Bay; from there another 5 minutes and you will be at the marina where you will find a safe beach, restaurants and shops. There is a short drive to Little Beach, Shoal Bay, Fingal Bay and many beaches in the Port Stephens area. The Tree House is close to Salamander Bay, 10 minutes’ drive in the other direction. You will find a large shopping center, 2 x gymnasiums and many restaurants. The area also boasts several Golf Courses if you are an enthusiast. If you are meeting friends the airport is 25minutes drive, or take the bus. Bus stop is 5 minutes’ walk from The Tree House. You will find brochures of the area on the dining room table, there is lots to do in Port Stephens you can be busy or just enjoy a quiet time. The Tree House is ideal for a family holiday or a romantic retreat for a couple.

Nearby is the Myall National Park with endless beaches and sand dunes- the perfect playground. At Hawks Nest there's the surf beach or further north in the national park theres surf beaches on one side of the road and lake beaches on the other side. Getting AroundIts a 15 minute walk to Hawks Nest shops or 2 minutes in the car and 5 minutes drive to Tea Gardens. The whole area is also flat and fantastic for cycling. The Tea Gardens ferry does regular trips to Nelson Bay. You can also hire motor boats and canoes at Tea Gardens. Best coffee is at Mangrove Cafe or Tillermans and best eats are The Boat House Restaurant and Tillermans, both at Tea Gardens. A easy place with younger kids is The Hawks Nest Golf Club. Good pizzas (eat in or take away) are available at Ocean Side Hotel at Hawks Nest. You can also hire the latest Videos here. GUEST REVIEW: We Absolutely LOVED this place!!! Stayed at Anna Bay for a girls' weekend away from Sydney. It is as clean, fresh & spacious as in the pictures. The pool is really amazing - it has a 180 degree view of the valley & trees below & the two beaches to either side. There is a nice warm spa with the same view. It is amazing floating there at night, with all the lights off except the cool blue glow of the pool lights & the sparkling stars - very tranquil. There is a nice deck for sunbathing that has sunshine all day long, and for couples there is actually a private spa tub on the private apartment deck (we didn't use this but it is outside & looks cosy!). Otherwise, the bedrooms & living area were clean & spacious, kitchen has all the necessary appliances. We didn't even eat out once - it was too easy to cook whilst having the most amazing view outside through the glass panelled doors. There is one parking spot but it is easy to fit 2 cars there, although it's a tight curve into the driveway (there is more on-street parking, easy to get to). The surrounding areas are incredible - we went 4WD driving on the 4WD track just out of Anna bay - amazing at sunset! The beach is close by - good for surfing, swimming, kite surfing etc. There is also some great rock-climbing at Anna Bay too. Or just kick back & enjoy a BBQ with a view on the private deck. Really, this was an amazing place to stay - not just because it's a beautiful part of the world but the apartment itself is luxurious without being over the top & if you don't even leave the house you will have an amazing time. We will definitely be back now that we have discovered this amazing little secret paradise!!! Couldn't get enough - can't wait to do it again soon. Thanks for a great weekend!!! Kashea HOUSE RULES/ TERMS AND CONDITIONS This is a superb property, fully furnished and detailed appropriately. A Security Bond of $AUD1500 is required at or prior to Check-In. This is repaid to the Guest after Check-Out following an inspection of the property, although the Property Owner is entitled to deduct any reasonable and lawful costs incurred as a result of the Guest not adhering to the following Agreement. Alternatively there is a coach service from Sydney Central to Anna Bay with Port Stephens coaches. There are also local buses servicing the Port Stephens area.           The SpaceThis is a 2 bedroom cottage set amongst the trees and wildlife. It has everything you need for your stay including a fully equipped kitchen, all linen, basics and a few extras including your own private BBQ. The main bedroom has a comfortable double bed while the second bedroom has three singles (1x bunk and 1x single). Wildlife is in abundance with occasional sightings of koalas, possums, many different birds and sometimes a friendly kangaroo visits. It is a 5minute walk to the beautiful One Mile Beach where there is an excellent Tapas Bar and a small Takeaway that also stocks basic grocery items such as bread, milk and a few others. The property has Wi-Fi however because of our obscure location it can sometimes be un-reliable. We are a 3 minute drive to Anna Bay with a small selection of restaurants, a supermarket and tavern. 10minutes to the centre of town, Nelson Bay, which has a large choice of many excellent restaurants, a cinema, information centre and a marina where boat tours depart daily and you can catch a ferry to Tea Gardens for the day. This cottage is one of 12 cottages we have on the property along with a pool, laundry and outdoor dining area. Guest AccessGuests have access to a pool, laundry, outdoor dining area and Wi-Fi. A magnificent beach with an infamous walk across "The Spit" to view the burnt out ruins of the outer lighthouse residence. Explore Fingal Head and enjoy the views. There is some great fishing off the beach as well as the Headlands ( I once got a 3kg beaut ! ) . Many a large jewfish has been landed off the spit, you can see them while snorkelling.           The SpaceThis house is ideally suited to a small family, or 2 couples, or perfect for a peaceful / romantic getaway for two people on their own. There are two large bedrooms and two brand new bathrooms, one with a small bath for children. The rear sunroom also doubles as a third bedroom perfect for older children and teenagers and also has a second TV and video for movies on rainy days. There are two living areas, one with a sofa bed and the other with two large and comfy lounges and a flat screen TV. There is also a sunroom at the front of the house. The kitchen is large and there is a brand new stove and plenty of cooking amenities. The back yard is fully fenced. There is a BBQ and outdoor setting and a large concrete area at the side of the house for smaller kids to ride bikes or play ball games. There is also off-street car parking for 2-4 cars plus plenty of street parking. The laundry has a tub, washing machine and dryer and there is a clothesline in the yard. Directly next door is a large reserve for a game of cricket or footy, and 30 second walk up the road is a fantastic milk bar, Corlette Store, which has groceries , newspapers as well as bread milk and great hot food - they are open 7am to 7pm. There is also a great Thai restaurant above the shops for those nights when you don't want to cook but also don't feel like driving into town for dinner. Walk 30 seconds to the right and you will be stepping onto the sand of Bagnalls Beach. From here you can walk all the way around to the Anchorage Resort either on the sane at low tide, or along the walkway in front of the beach houses. You can moor your boat here as well so it's perfect for water enthusiasts. There is also a great bike and walking track which starts in the park across the road which hugs the coastline all the way into Nelson Bay in about 15 minutes with spectacular views and a couple of great beaches if you want to stop for a quick dip. Across the road at this park is also a playground, and picnic and toilet facilities. Guest AccessGuests have access to everything in the house and yard. The garage will be out of bounds and is locked as it contains the Owners' maintenance and gardening items.
