The SpaceKoorakai house has been sustainably crafted from basalt rocks removed from the hill into which it is built and from hundred year old recycled sand stock bricks. Its adobe floors are made from local granite soil; mosaics are designed from themes inspired by the Abercrombie river which borders the property; and the slate used in the bathroom is hand-hewn from the local quarry. The main living area is a generous space, perfect for a family group of up to ten people. The open plan design has a large open fireplace made from local basalt stone as its central focal point, and is the perfect way to bring people together. Guest AccessThere are five main walks on the property. This is a 3000 acre property which covers extensive stretches of untouched Bush. The beauty of taking our bushwalks is that you can experience a real sense of the solitariness and ruggedness of the Aussie Bush. There would rarely be other walkers who you would encounter on your hike. This area has been described as having some of the cleanest air in NSW. Guests will also be able to feed and interact with the many friendly animals that graze in our paddock, including donkeys, alpacas and sheep. Interaction with Guestsdsg The Neighborhooddgrsg Other Things to NoteEnjoy a freshly brewed espresso coffee in our seasonal gallery or view the art works from local artists working in sculpture, painting, pottery or photography. There are two other cottages on the property which are also available to rent for a smaller number of people. More information can be found on our website. (URL HIDDEN)

The SpaceMy home is an original Oberon home built by Tally Cunnynghame in 1891. Back in those days they built the kitchen separate from the house, so that if a fire started the whole house wouldn't burn down. So your room is in what was once the kitchen and pantry area and separate from the rest of the house. It's been renovated now into a comfortable Queen size bedroom with it's own private lounge and sitting area. The bed has a comfy queen size mattress with St Regis 1000 Count Egyptian cotton sheets in summer and fluffy warm sheets in winter. You also have your own special fluffy cotton towels, face washer and hand towel. The lounge room comes equipped with it's own Wifi, TV, DVD player and wood fire in the winter to keep you warm. Just perfect for a nice quite weekend away. The cottage was built in 1891 and so we have to share the bathroom. They didn't have two bathrooms in those days, in fact you were lucky to have one! Interaction with GuestsOpen, bright sociable person who likes good food and wine and interacting with people. Come and relax at GLENBURN HOUSE located at Wisemans Creek only two and half hours from Sydney and twenty minutes from Bathurst and Oberon. GLENBURN HOUSE is only forty minutes from Jenolan Caves and Kanangra Boyd National Park and twenty minutes from Mayfield Gardens. Wisemans Creek was the scene of gold, silver and copper mining during the 1870s to early 1900s with a population of several hundred people. Today it offers a rural lifestyle to its less than a dozen permanent residents. The countryside is picturesque and hilly with a mixture of grassy paddocks and eucalypt-forested slopes. GLENBURN HOUSE started life in 1883 as a school in the village of Glenburn, known to the locals as Wisemans Creek. Jennifer and Malcolm fell in love with the old school and have since made sympathetic additions to convert it to a stylish and appealing residence enhanced by artistic furnishings and original paintings.
