(No overlooking neighbours' balconies) With a stylish, FUN and fresh SEASIDE HOLIDAY feel, the classic retro Australian cottage is centrally located, close to town in the area originally named ''Beachside', within walking distance of 3 beaches, a great little cafe around the corner and 1.2 km walk along an ocean path to the main shopping strip, cafes and restaurants. Within a 5 minute walk: A handy corner store/deli/groceries, a cafe, a fish&chip/ hamburger shop and a bottle shop Hear the soothing sounds of the ocean at night time. High quality hotel standard 100% cotton linen and towels are provided Early check in and late check out when available Well behaved, non barking dogs by arrangement and prior discussion to determine suitability. An additional charge of $20 per pet per night will apply. Please do not 'instant book' without discussing pet arrangements. Weekly and Monthly stays are discounted on enquiry. Weekend pricing applies to 2 night bookings which include a Friday or a Saturday. The contemporary ECLECTIC MIX of vintage and RELAXED furnishings enhance the original high ceilings, original features and RETRO CHARM of the house, preserved from the 1950's. Local artworks and comfy leather sofas furnish the light filled living area. Kendalls beach is a few minutes walk, and a few more minutes along the ocean path takes you to Surf Beach. Easts Beach is a 15 minute walk south with a beautiful detour meandering through the Bonaira rainforest garden. A very pretty little town, Kiama is self sufficient for a perfect holiday, with cafes, restaurants, beaches and natural rockpools. Beachdayz accommodates 5 in 2 bedrooms. A Queen bed in one bedroom and a double/single bunk combination with comfortable mattresses in the 2nd bedroom. The living area is a light filled north east facing open plan area with garden views and a patch of ocean visible. A well equipped galley kitchen overlooks the open plan living/dining space, DVD, BBQ, Aircon/heating ,dishwasher, Vittoria coffee pod machine, bath, washing machine. A relaxed, historic charm leftover from the 1950's, yet very comfortable with all modern amenities. Free NBN WIFI for basic emails and communications. Can be slow if the house is at it's maximum numbers and everyone is on the net at once. The cottage is professionally cleaned to a high standard using environmentally friendly GREEN CLEANING products. A Portacot, Highchair and Valco pram with bassinet are available for hire - $20 each per stay, plus $30 refundable security deposit on cleaned and undamaged return for each item. No charge for the highchair. A sunny northern alfresco verandah with a patch of ocean view, opens through French doors off the living area, furnished with an antique Balinese daybed, vintage table and cane chairs. The protected courtyard garden is designed to capture the sun in winter and is shaded in summer with plantings of citrus, pear, peach, gardenia and a magnificent bamboo. Public transport is reasonable for a country town, with a bus stopping outside the door, travelling locally and to Shellharbour Square shopping mall 20 minutes drive away. Kiama station is a 20 minute walk from the house. The train trip to Sydney is a picturesque outing in itself, following the magnificent coastline through to the northern beaches of the Illawarra, and on to Central Station Sydney. Although technically one of two, the unit feels more like a house. The adjoining unit, beachbumz@kiama may be booked together to accommodate a maximum of 9. Each unit has a private entrance and garden, and is designed to successfully minimize noise transfer between dwellings. The station is a 20 minute walk away.

The SpaceWe are an easy going working couple who are very involved with our grandchildren that visit and are babysat regularly. We love travelling and enjoy meeting new people. We also share our home with a Miniature Schnauzer dog. Located inland, approximately 10 klms from the coast, in the Shellharbour area of the Illawarra. A CAR WOULD BE REQUIRED TO ENJOY THE AREA, off street parking may be available, otherwise there is plenty of parking out the front on the grassed nature strip. Rail links to Sydney 4 klms away with a bus route close by, public transport is not an ideal way to see the area but it can be used for accessing some areas.. We have a room with a Queen bed (located away from main bedroom), with a wardrobe and chest of drawers available for your use in our fairly new 4 bedroom house . Another queen room is available (see other listing, same price per night) . Semi private 3 way bathroom (its our main bathroom, we use our ensuite) which you would be sharing if there are other guests. Wineries to enjoy within 1hr drive. Beaches approx 15 mins drive. Access the Southern Highlands for a day out. Jamberoo Action Park just a few minutes drive away. Bushwalking a short drive.Visit Kiama for a leisurely afternoon and see the Blow Hole. Coastal walking tracks. 25 minute drive to Wollongong, or train trip. Perfect for those attending a wedding or other function in Wollongong or Shellharbour areas.Transport may be able to be arranged (fee negotiable) to and from functions. The SpaceThe main room is a quite spacious 28 sq m with a double bed, dining table and cane lounge. It has a kitchenette with microwave,bar fridge & sink but no other cooking facilities,(no stove top or oven.) However, there is access to a BBQ if needed. You'll walk down a pathway, past the main house and behind, to enter your accommodation. Please note, the path is quite long and sloping. Interaction with GuestsWe are happy to welcome you and help you with bags if needed. After that we leave you to enjoy the studio and your time in beautiful Kiama. The NeighborhoodKiama is a relaxed and friendly beachside town. As well as being about 6 minutes walk from East's Beach, our studio is also only a 10- 15 min walk to Kendall's, another beautiful Kiama beach. You will never find a large crowd at either beach, even at the height of summer. A short walk to the headland is a great place to spot a whale from May to August, and from September to November. It is only a 10 minute walk to 2 cafes, a general store, newsagent and takeaway, as well as the Little Blowhole. Kiama has many cafes, restaurants, some lovely shops, the harbour, where you'll sometime find the seaside markets and, of course, the famous Blow Hole. From our studio you can embark on the coast walk south to Gerringong or north to Minnamurra. There are fishing and whale watching boat trips from the harbour. There are also Easts, Kendall's, and Surf beach, the rock pool and the continental pool for swimming. Getting AroundThe beach studio is a 30 minute walk along a lovely beachside path, or short drive, from Kiama's shopping area and railway station. Kiama, 2 hours south of Sydney, makes a great base from which to explore many nearby attractions: North: Cathedral Rocks, Minnamurra River, Killalea State Park, Wollongong, Grand Pacific Drive to the Seacliff Bridge and the Royal National Park South: Spectacular scenery, Gerringong, Gerroa and Seven Mile Beach, the village of Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Jervis Bay National Park and several wineries West: Jamberoo, Saddleback Mountain, dry stone walls, Minnamurra Rainforest, falls and Skywalk, Carrington Falls and the Southern Highlands Other Things to NoteThere is parking on the street in front of the house, and quite a long sloping pathway (no stairs) to the studio entrance. General grocery shops and some restaurants and clubs are a short drive. there are many things to do and see in the Illawarra Getting AroundA Car would be preferable to travel around and make the most of the area. Community Atmosphere. Farmers market every Wednesday. Kiama market every third Sunday of the month. Shellharbour shopping centre 15 minute drive. Getting Around 10 mins walk from the train station. Bus service just around the corner. Other Things to NoteThere is a Leagues club and Bowling club . Japanese, Tai, Mexican,Italian, Chinese, modern Australian, Indian Restaurants. Or maybe Fish and Chips or Pizza. Jamberoo Action Park is a winner with the kids only 15 minute drive. The township of Berri is very popular for shopping and great pups for lunch or dinner. Great Cafes nearby.

The SpaceOur peaceful hillside is only minutes away from the gorgeous Kiama beaches and walks. Be as touristy or rural as you like! There is almost a half a house for your total use. We are here as you need us (and love to swap travel stories and life in general). A continental breakfast is provided for consumption at your leisure. We love our rural views with some glimpses of the ocean. It's a quiet suburb and as we face the hills we almost feel like we have no neighbours. The views in our photos are those from across the road and not from the BnB wing but they are only a few steps away! Kiama has no local local public transport. However if you arrive by train we are happy to pick you up. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to town (and 5 minutes by car) and slightly less to the closest beach. Guest AccessThere is almost a half a house for your total use. The kitchenette contains a bar fridge, electric jug, toaster, microwave and induction cooking pad. Kitchen tools, crockery, frypan and saucepan are also provided. Interaction with GuestsWe are here as you need us (and love to swap travel stories and life in general). A continental breakfast is provided in the kitchenette to be consumed at your leisure. The NeighborhoodWe love our rural views with some glimpses of the ocean. The SpaceLight, bright, colourful and functional, the house is packed with scandinavian influence. High, raked ceilings with big doors and windows to circulate sea breezes. Listen to the waves as you drift off to sleep. There is nothing better than lazy afternoons by the pool or relaxing in the hammock surrounded by climbing vines and hanging plants on the back balcony. Guests have access to the fully equipped, self contained 3 bedroom house upstairs while we occupy a granny flat on the ground floor with separate entry unless we are away on holidays. We are usually available as your onsite caretakers (pool care, mowing etc) otherwise you'll hardly know we are there as both dwellings are completely private. Getting AroundThe closest train station is Minnamurra which is a 3 minute drive or 15 mins walk. Our place has one off street parking spot for guests on the driveway. Other Things to NoteThe building is a two-storey house. You will be booking the entire upstairs level while owners occupy self contained granny flat located on the ground floor. Backyard and pool are the only shared spaces.

The SpaceWelcome to Kiama Health Temple. It is a Ayurvedic retreat surrounded by nature and wild life with the likes of wallabies, a shy wombat and singing birds. If you are not into the natural environment may I suggest you stay at a hotel. We enjoy sharing the land with the local wild life. About the Space: It has flat screen TV with DVD and USB port. It has a heater It has 1 single bed and a Queen size bed "daybed". Clothes rack to hang coats ect and luggage storage area. Linen and Pillows, blankets supplied. The kitchenette has 2 glass cooking elements, a small slow cooker pot, pots and fry pan, a sink, a kettle, toaster, smoothie maker, bar fridge, drinking glasses, cups, tea / coffee pot, plates, cutlery, salad bowl, place mats. BBQ is available upon request. WHAT FOOD AND DRINKS ARE SUPPLIED: *Granola is supplied *Various herbal teas and ground coffee * In the fridge; Organic Almond milk * A 12 litre ceramic water filter for * Olive oil,salt, pepper The Bathroom has a toilet, basin and large shower space. Minnamurra beach is a 10 min drive away. Minnamurra rainforest is a 20 min drive away. Kiama people are friendly and polite. Getting AroundFrom Sydney Town Hall the train ride is just under 2 hours. Local cafes,beaches and coastal walks are a 3 min drive away. It is a 10 / 15 min walk into town. There is also a bird hide for the bird lovers just a 10 min walk away. Other Things to NoteNOTE: We have a beehive in the front of the property to assist with the pollination of our growing orchid of fruiting trees and vegi patch. We will soon be able to offer you home made organic honey as well.

No pesticides, or toxic building materials have been used in construction, and low VOC paint and glues used in fit-out. You will find a minimum of plastics; natural timbers, metals, cotton manchester is used throughout. For cleaning products we use vinegar, soda bi-carb and eco detergent only. The shampoo/body soap provided is likewise an eco product ( which is why it does not (URL HIDDEN) laurel sulphate). The house is solar powered and uses rainwater to flush the WC. The unit is extremely well sound insulated with double walls and engineered sound insulation. This means you can sing, laugh, yell in delight and we will not hear you and similarly you will not hear us. Please be aware the deck which has chairs on it allowing a child to climb up and supervise children at all times accordingly. As you can see we feel strongly about the happiness of your stay. Just to the south of the small blow hole is the start to the Kiama Coastal Walk, taking around an hour return trip and following the coastline down to Gerringong, it makes for a perfect afternoon walk. The Space'The Beach House' is located 1.5 hours south of Sydney in the tranquil and idyllic setting of beautiful Minnamurra. The property is situated at the mouth of the Minnamurra River and boasts one of the most beautiful ocean views you're likely to see, flanked by unspoiled crown land and crisp clear waters that are home to an abundance of marine life. It's prime positioning on the mouth of the river means guests get to enjoy both the more peaceful nature of the river water which can at times appear to be a lake, or the turbulent energy of the ocean just beyond. During low tide the river produces two large sand banks divided by a shallow pool which make it an ideal place for children to splash about and creates easy access to the ocean beach. During high tide the river becomes the perfect location for any number of water craft. A gentle paddle up into the mangroves or for the more adventurous, a sea kayak through the waves and around Rangoon Island. The house itself was originally built in the 50's and underwent major renovations 2 years ago to create a luxurious retreat while still maintaining the charm and style of it's mid century heritage, tastefully furnished in a mid-century modern feel with a lot of the property's original pieces. The house has two double rooms and a loft with two single beds as well as 2 full bathrooms and full kitchen. The master bedroom is adjoined by a walk in closet which leads through to the ensuite with shower and separate soaking bath tub to help you fully relax. It also boasts ample outdoor entertaining areas including a large deck accessed through the main living area to create and indoor/outdoor environment with outdoor sofa that looks out over the water as well as two outdoor dining areas, one atop the property's boat shed and the other on the street side of the house which offers more protection should the sea breeze be too strong. It also offers Broadband Wifi, TV, DVD, indoor/outdoor iPod connectivity and we have just introduced Netflix for your enjoyment with hundreds of movie, TV and documentary titles right at your finger tips. ***please note that bed sheets and towels are NOT provided*** The local area also offers any number of activities. Only 20 minutes out of major city Wollongong and 10 minutes into the historic sea side village of Kiama. A short drive in land see's you to Jambaroo, home to Jambaroo action park and the beautiful Minnamurra rainforest and waterfall trail. For those less inclined to venture too far the Minnamurra Park at the end of the block offers two full size tennis courts, or perhaps a round of Golf at the Kiama Golf Course a short walk from the property or mosey on over to the Minnamurra General Store Cafe virtually across the street for the best coffee on the south coast which offers a delicious gourmet menu and home baked goods.

It is only a 5mins drive from the tourist town of Kiama. In this area we have three beautiful beaches. Jones Beach, 15 min walk, The Boneyard, a popular surfing spot and Bombo Beach. The Minnamurra River 5mins away has the most beautiful estuary overlooking Rangoon island and is very popular with kayackers. A drive through the ambling roads will surprise you with wineries to visit, the treetop walk at the Minnamurra rainforest and for good exercise you can undertake the six klm walk along the coast to Gerringong. Be rewarded with some truly great cafes there. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop three doors down from me giving access to Kiama and the Shellharbour area. Minnamurra Station and Kiama only 5mins drive from my house. I can provide a lift to station if required. Other Things to NoteI do have one well behaved cat who usually keeps to her independent self.               STELLAR VISTA is in one of the very best locations of Kiama and sits on a stunning strip of coastline above Kendalls Beach. It takes up the ground floor of an architect designed beach house.                 Absolute Ocean Front cottage, perched right on Loves Bay is the perfect holiday in Summer or Winter. Snuggled together in the cooler months and watch the theatre of the waves. You will get a spectacular from your front row seats. Watch the ocean create its own new little blow holes. In Summer time swim, surf, fish or sit on either deck, read a book, and be amazed when you see the local train peep through the rolling green hills with cows grazing in the background. We do have a small fence enclosure at the rear of the house. It’s a safe play area for young children. Our property does extend much further towards the ocean.                   The SpaceThe white timber cottage is on a level block of land with a wide concrete drive for off street parking. The Kiama walking track is less than 200m and both beaches are just 400m walk from the front door. You can even walk to the famous "Blowhole". Enjoy your basket breakfast, supplied, in a sunny corner then relax in the comfortable lounge chairs. For weekly bookings breakfast is available for the first morning. There is a queen bed in one bedroom, and two long single beds that clip together to make a king bed in the main bedroom. There is a double sofa bed in the lounge room for an extra person. The beds and bedding are all excellent quality. There is reverse cycle air conditioning in both the main bedroom and the living area. The fully equipped kitchen and laundry have quality appliances and all you need for a comfortable stay. There is also a collection of DVDs, novels and board games for you to enjoy Guest AccessThe house is ramped and guests have access to the entire house plus fenced backyard, complete with barbeque and outdoor table and comfortable padded deck chairs. There is also a laundry with washing machine and drier. Interaction with GuestsThe owners live around the corner and can be called upon when needed. The Neighborhood"At Vicki's" is close to town, beaches and all amenities, including a rock pool, the lighthouse and the famous Blowhole. Parks and play equipment in Kiama are excellent and well maintained. One park even has a disability friendly swing. There is an abundance of coffee shops and restaurants in and around the town. Getting AroundYou can walk to most things including the station and on site parking is provided. There is an hourly train to Wollongong then on to Central Sydney every day with more services in peak times. There is also a very reliable local taxi company at your service. Set in the rocks on the headland near the Kiama Visitor's Information Centre, this world’s largest blowhole is a natural spout of water that shoots up into the air with a "whoosh". Large crowds gather when the wind, waves and tides are pumping. Next to the visitor centre at the blowhole, the Pilot’s Cottage Museum tells the story of Kiama’s colourful past and is well worth a visit. Explore the local area by taking the 22-km Kiama Coastal Walk to see more stunning natural attractions. The Walk takes you from Minnamurra to Gerringong, past explore secluded beaches and bays, near the old train track and cuttings in the mountain side and through a section of remnant rainforest. See eagles, whales and dolphins along the way. Minnamurra Rainforest, only 15 minutes from Kiama, is definitely worth a visit. A 1.6km elevated boardwalk from the visitor's centre winds through this pocket of subtropical and warm temperate rainforest. All kitchen requirements such as pots and pans, cutlery and crockery etc are supplied. There is a microwave and just about anything else you can think of in the kitchen.
