The SpaceOur house is situated only 4.5km from Byron town centre... yet we are completely isolated in the rainforest hills. We have a granny flat on the ground floor of our 2 story house available for rent. It has a separate entrance and a mini kitchen, with outdoor private patios with BBQ. The bathroom is shared with our teenage daughter. The property is sprawling with lots of gorgeous walking tracks... heaps of wildlife including pet cows and an Alpaca and regular visits from Wallabies and Kangaroos and endless birdlife. Even a koala has been making a regular visit lately! We also have several waterfalls on the property! Including one that's particularly beautiful, even when its not running. It's a really lovely and large room and happens to be my favourite in the house as its got a front deck towards the ocean, plus a side veranda opening up onto the lawn... the ocean and lighthouse is visible from both decks and all angles. It really is gorgeous and our guests keep telling us its SO much nicer than our photos indicate. We are a 5 minute drive into town, or borrow one of our bicycles... its a lovely country road into town (although uphill coming home!). You can also make use of our kayak and surfboard! We also allow very flexible check-in, check-out times. If no one is staying the day you leave - feel free to stay all day if that suits. Our only request in return is that guests be quiet in the evenings after 10PM... as we have a little baby. Room features: -Really comfy double bed with very high quality sheets. -Two fold-out sofa-beds. (extra fees for occupancy above 2 guests) -Two private outdoor seating areas with expansive views of the rainforest, valley, lighthouse and ocean beyond! -We've just added a new BBQ to the side deck... perfect place to hang out while cooking up a storm! -Nothing but sounds of nature and the ocean! -Dart board, games, table tennis, etc -Shared outdoor laundry -WiFi -Use of 2-man kayak and surfboard -TV has a DVD player and a movie file player - with a large movie selection (but we don't get TV reception out here) -Large, powerful shower room -Ceramic water filter - save money/hassle w drinking water! The room is well furnished, very comfortable and cozy, but please note its a converted space so there's an 'unpolished' piece here and there (i.e. some exposed pipes in the ceiling). Pets welcome by discussion. In our view, it is the absolute best location in the entire shire! The best views, endless acreage and a push-bikable distance to town. But please note: We're not walking distance to town/beach. Guest AccessAs above... lots! Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little as you like! :)

Guest Reviews & Recommendations off another website Kaione Dec 2015 ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars. A perfect stay- not long enough ! must come back! We stayed here as part of our minimoon (mini honeymoon!) in December and thoroughly enjoyed it! The property is a little cabin at the back of the main house, completely separate so this offers great privacy. I liked the little touches of nice local soap to use, little pot of love hearts to eat and.. a Webber BBQ for us to use, the really comfortable hammock, as well as clear instructions on what to do for recycling including using food scraps for their mango garden! The cabin is round the corner from suffolk park and has everything you need in walking distance, be it pub, pizza, shops, post office - the lot. We did choose to drive into Bryon every day instead of Suffolk park beach but next time I think i'll do the later' - its just me being scared of no lifeguard beaches and the waves were big. Theres apparently a lovely walk around there too that i'd love to check out next time. The owners themselves were lovely, it was great to have a nice chat with them and we definitely feel we'd be welcomed back as though we were friends. We'd definitely go out of our way to come back to Byron, and stay here - hopefully for longer as four nights wasn't enough for us really! Anita Nov 2015 ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars. Great little cabin! Clean, open, airy and so close to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Byron. We felt very welcome and yet were very considerately left our space to enjoy the peace and quiet! Thank you! David Oct 2015 ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars. Excellent Thanks for a great stay! The cabin was just perfect and Carol made sure we had everything we needed. Carol was also really helpful in making sure we knew where to find local attractions and letting us know what was happening. Pam Sept 2015 ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars. Perfect Hideaway! We had a thoroughly relaxing week in this comfortable cabin. The little touches provided by our hosts made it really special. Loved the hammock and roomy verandah where we enjoyed our breakfasts! Denise Aug 2015 ★★★★★ 5 out of 5 stars. Perfect :-) We booked within a week of our stay and cannot believe how lucky we were to find this little haven of peace and tranquility, just a short walk from the most beautiful, quiet and unspoilt beach. The cabin was wonderfully equipped, the shower hot and the bed comfortable. We loved the privacy, the homely deck with hammock, the outdoor shower, the spa bath, and the free wifi. All amenities were just a short walk away. Glen and Caroline were friendly and helpful. Cannot say more. We hope to return :-) More Guest Reviews! "I had a wonderful 5 day stay here and highly recommend it. The owners, Caroline and Glen are lovely, and they really made me feel welcome. The cabin is well appointed, in a lovely leafy setting. Very relaxing. I plan to return!" JANGO, AUGUST 2010 "Our time at the Byron Beach Cabin was fantastic. Glen & Caroline provided friendly, practical advice, and they were the ideal hosts by allowing us our privacy. The cabin itself was perfect, and had all the facilities to make us comfortable. It was clean, bright and had everything you could wish for - the hammock was worth the stay in itself! Despite the heat, the cabin was cool and comfortable. The cabin is close to Byron and surrounding districts, and Suffolk Park has that laid back feeling that instantly makes you feel like you're on holiday. We would have no hesitation in recommending Byron Beach Cabin, and we're sure that you'll agree with us. Thanks Glen and Caroline for a relaxing stay. You can guarantee that we'll be back!" NAT & JOHN, MAY 2010 "We stayed at the Byon Bay Beach Cabin over the May Public holiday weekend, it was a beautiful cabin, very luxurious 5* stay. The owners were lovely and would love to stay again. CENK, JULY 2009 "Wonderful cottage. Ideal place to recharge the batteries. Clsoe to the beach and to the local shopping village." PAT , JUNE 2009 2009 Jan-12 Anonymous on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 Fantastic little cabin! My wife and I spent 4 nights there, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ideally located midway between the beach and Suffolk Park village, we could walk to both easily. The fans and high ceilings made the cabin quite cool in hot weather, and the decking was ideal for hanging out in the hammock, or barbies for dinner. The bedroom was spacious and the bed itself was very comfortable. The owners were also very friendly and extremely helpful when we had some car trouble. 2008 Sep-21 Carol on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 I highly recommend the Byron Beach Cabin as the place to stay in Byron for a quiet peaceful getaway, while being close to everthing from surf to shops.Caroline and Glen are very welcoming & will make your stay a pleasure. The cabin is light and airy with everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. 2008 Sep-15 Nigel on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 Very enjoyable stay...nice feel to the place. great herbs and produce available from the garden....Hosts were charming and friendly....This place is great value and well worth its price....all good 2008 Aug-25 Anonymous on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 4/5 The cabin was very clean and peaceful and a lot more spacious than we were expecting from the photographs. A wonderful place to unwind and get fit walking on the beach each day. Byron itself is amazing and only a five minutes drive away. 2008 Aug-13 Steve on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 4/5 We stayed at the cabin for a short holiday and enjoyed every minute of it. The location is perfect for access to the beach, parks and all other amenities. Suffolk Park is an ideal and peaceful spot which is the perfect distance away from the vibrant yet occasionally hectic Byron CBD. Owners were down to earth and helpful from arrival to departure. Enjoyed it so much we had to extend our holiday. 2008 Aug-11 N & L on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 The room was terrific with more amenities than we could have imagined. A great relaxing, tidy and private Room and Deck Area making it feel like home. Amazing kindness and hospitality. We will definitely recommend you haven to our friends and look forward to perhaps seeing you again in the future. What more could we say a Five (5) Star Luxury Stay! 2008 Jun-8 Brooke on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 What a wonderful place to have stayed. very welcoming and always there to help with great ideas! We were also lucky enough to go out whale watching, we saw 8 whales. We will never forget our experience at Byron Bay.Thank you 2008 Apr-29 Robin on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 Yes, we were blessed with a wonderful nine days of sunshine, but we were also hugely appreciative of a well-priced, well-equipped, well-thought out place to stay; the cabin had everything we needed from the barbecue to the spa bath (with lots of solar-heated hot water), and from the hammock on the deck to the herbs in the garden (useful for the lamb - see barbecue comment!). The silence at night made for excellent sleep, and the proximity to the beach made for excellent days. Many thanks for taking care of everything. We will be back . . 2008 Apr-13 Haylee on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 Thank You so much! We had the holiday of a lifetime! Our experience was made all the better by your help and hospitaliy, we couldn't hope for better hosts! Your little cabin is so cute and cosy, just perfect with the comfy hammock and the sound of the waves carried in on the breeze, and all the beautiful butterflies floating around! We can't wait to see you and the kookaburra and the echidna and the bush turkey again!! Till next year, or maybe sooner if we can help it!! Thanks again, Adam & Haylee!! 2008 Mar-24 Abigail on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 The cabin was spacious and extremely comfortable. The large decking area was the ideal spot to have a relaxing glass of wine while listening to the many birds and the ocean nearby. Only a few minutes drive to Byron Bay meant we had the best of both worlds whilst having the convenience of the shopping centre around the corner in Suffolk Park. Lovely hosts and very helpful with their knowledge of the surrounding areas. The most memorable moment was walking down to Suffolk Beach a night and gazing at the clearest and most star filled sky we had ever seen. Highly recommend it! 2008 Feb-7 Anonymous on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 A serene cabin with abundant greenery and beautiful Butterflys! My lovely holiday made all the better for staying at their cabin and I will definately choose to stay there again next year when I return for more of the beautiful Far North Coast! 2008 Jan-16 Elizabeth on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 Excellent. I'd be happy to stay here again. Friendly hosts and great part of the country. Well done. 2007 Nov-1 Anonymous on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) 5/5 Great little holiday place! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to be near Byron Bay, but also after some peace and quiet. Thanks!
