The SpaceThe apartment has full kitchen facilities, free wifi, Foxtel Pay-TV, DVD, iPod dock. Off-street parking for one vehicle available (steep driveway not suitable for really low vehicles). The apartment is one floor up from the entrance level and is functionally separated from the rest of the house giving excellent privacy. We have listed the apartment on Airbnb following requests from overseas visitors to our Sydney apartment for an "out of Sydney" experience. With our children spreading all over the world and becoming less-frequent visitors we are happy to offer the apartment to Airbnb guests who have a fully-verified profile. The living area can be divided from the kitchen by closing the Shoji screens (see photos) with a double Aerobed providing additional (and surprisingly comfortable) bedding. This option is likely to only apply to single guests who require separate beds as our intention is have a limit of 2 guests only (although we will consider extenuating circumstances). Part of the income from rental of this apartment is used to directly pay for college fees for students from disadvantaged families in the Philippines. Guest AccessYou have access to a fully equipped (shared) laundry that is accessible via a common foyer. Interaction with GuestsWe will respect the privacy of our guests and expect the same in return. Having said that we are happy to provide as much information and help as we can. You should always feel free to knock on our door or phone us if you need something. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is home to an eclectic mix of artisans, professionals, tradespeople, academics, actors, students, gay, straight, friendly, reclusive - you name it, we have it. This is what makes Wombarra the place we love. Getting AroundThe apartment is a 10-minute walk to Wombarra Station with regular services to Sydney and the South Coast. Greens Northern Coaches operate a 6-day service (excl Sunday) along the coastal villages from Stanwell Park to Wollongong (Route 2) and a 7-day service from Helensburgh Station to Stanwell Park Station via Symbio Wildlife Park and the Hindu Temple (Route 15). See Greens web-site for timetables. Other Things to NoteThere are abundant opportunities for outdoor activities including surfing, swimming (sea pool), hiking and even barefoot bowls at the local bowling club. Or just relax and read a good book with the calming sound of the ocean. Other attractions within easy reach include tennis, cycling, sky diving, horse riding, hiking, Sea Cliff Bridge, Symbio Wildlife Park, Royal National Park, and the Illawarra (tree-top) Fly Walk. Nearby restaurants, galleries, pubs and markets are a few minutes away by car in Austinmer, Thirroul, Bulli, Stanwell Park and Helensburgh. Even closer you will find the Wombarra Bowling Club and Black Duck restaurant (1 minute walk), Coledale Cafe, RSL Club, Chedo’s Restaurant, and Scarborough Hotel (all 15 minutes walk). On weekends the Sri Venkateswara Temple near Helensburgh has a canteen (10am-4pm open to public) that serves great Indian vegetarian dishes at a very modest price.

Guest AccessGuests have access to whole house. Interaction with GuestsSome information on local attractions, shopping and dining can be found in the folder on the dining table but let me know if you have other queries. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is residential and quiet. It's all about enjoying being by the ocean. There are a few cafes and shops in nearby Coledale and lots in Thirroul, a 10-minute drive. Getting AroundThe house is a 20-minute walk to Wombarra train station which connects to Sydney; a 15-minute walk in the other direction to a newsagency/basic store and cafe; a 10-minute drive to Thirroul, where there are supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, shops; and a 35-minute drive to Wollongong. Other Things to NoteThe driveway is very steep, but you can easily do a three-point turn at the bottom in the carport to drive out front-first. If more than one car is arriving, the first car can drive into the carport, reverse out then park in front of roller door and the second car can then go into the carport. A third car will need to do a multipoint turn to drive out front-first. The cliff track to the rock shelf is very steep as well, and can get slippery when wet. Care needs to be taken, and children should not be allowed to use it unsupervised.

The Spacehey there, this is aaron the owner of bonnie view in stanwell park. i work in the music industry and am slightly obsessed by surfing. my house of rent is three bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms (plus laundry, kitchen, dining room etc). it is a charming federation home, built in 1902, the second oldest in the area. You'll fall in love with the high ceilings, floorings and fixtures.. many still from the original house. Bonnie View is very close to the beach. about a 3-5 minute walk depending on your pace. You can clearly see the ocean from a number of spots from the property. The other main view is of Mount Mitchell. So on the left we have the sea, on the right the mountains! During your stay, expect to relax. Around the house is a gorgeous balcony, with plenty of spots (Hammock, chair) to sit back and read or have a snooze. For the outdoor type, the beach is moments away, the mountains are moments away and there are also tennis and golf courses in the local area. The local town has everything you need, a general store, bottle shop, pizza shop, and three cafe's. There are a number of larger towns 10 minutes away with all main facilities. Also close by is Symbio wildlife park, a driving range and of course the royal national park (and all it has to offer) which backs onto the property. So all in all it is a quiet suburb, where you can just kick back and listen to the ocean's waves or birds chirping or trees whistling. On weekends there is a bit more activity as sydney is one hour away and tourists do love a spin on our famous Sea Cliff bridge (also another great local attraction). The locals bus that runs up and down the coal coast from Helensburgh to Wollongong is 10 mins walk while the train station is a 3-5 min drive or 15 min walk. Our place is more than unique. it is like stepping back in time. It virtually looks the same that it did in 1902. Getting AroundTrain station is 15 minutes away and there's a local bus that services the local area 10 minutes away.
