Interaction with GuestsI am happy to play the tour guide for you and show you around. I love going to new places or try new things. I enjoy hiking in the hinterland or hanging out on the beach. The NeighborhoodKirra is a 5min walk from Coolangatta. You will be pretty independent by walking but there are also busses available. The neighbourhood offers lots of nice restaurants and cafes to hang out. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop in front of the house. Buses go from Kirra all the way up to Surfers Paradise or down the coast via Tweed Heads up to Kingscliff.

The SpaceI love that I am so close to amazing beaches that run for miles and can wander down the leafy path an be on the beach in minutes. Boogie boards, beach umbrella and beach chairs are on the deck for you to take to the beach. You can catch a bus 200 mt away to take you anywhere up the coast to Surfers Paradise or to connect to rail to Brisbane. The Gold Coast Airport is 3 km or 5 mins drive but you never hear planes. Timber floors, large outdoor deck overlooking the coast,covered outdoor lounge area and the garden make this special. This is a home not just a rental - please treat it with love . The NeighborhoodKirra is so unique that it comes under the Coolangatta heading if you need to find it by GPS. and I'm in a special spot nestled on kirra hill … suggest long beach walks to sunrise at Pt.Danger and sunset toward Currumbin see the whales in season…My beach gear is here umbrella, chairs, yoga mat and boogie board - so pack a picnic and settle in for a morning at the beach or for a lush lunch at one of the many restaurants or cafes. Or bus it to any of the theme parks up the highway - Byron bay is about 40min down the highway. Getting AroundBus to take you all over the coast is a few minutes. Gold Coast Airport is 15-10 mins away by taxi about 13AUD . There is parking here in the street. Other Things to NoteAll Linen and Beach Towels supplied. This is a place of many events often there are surf carnivals, kite festival, Cooli Rocks, the Quick Silver Pro,(year before last the final heat was just in front at Kirra Point )- pretty special. The Twin Towns Club offers Guest Artists if you like to be entertained and the Pubs and Bars usually have live entertainment.Yoga and Tai Chi are also on in the vicinity.

We live in a 3 bedroom house behind 4 units across the road from the famous Kirra Beach which is patrolled all year round. We live in an older style house but its very homy so we have been told. We have a separate lounge room and a average size kitchen/dinning room.. Our house is elevated so it gets a nice breeze through the house. The rooms are a good size especially the front room. We only have 1 bathroom and 1 toilet but they are separate and this has served our family well. Max works in the surfing industry and is self employed and I am a volunteer worker and work part time in retail. We enjoy doing surf road trips. We are a non smoking family. We are a very hospitable family and we love life. We like meeting people from all nationalities and enjoy learning about there culture especially food. We have a good selections of cafes and restaurants around us. We are 50 meters from local transport and 3 minutes to the beach. We are in a great position especially for students. We are only 10 minutes walk to Southern Cross University, an 10-15 minutes walk to the Gold Coast Airport. Also we are 15-20 minutes walk to Coolangatta shops and 25 minutes walk to Tweed University. We have a bus service to Bond University as well.

The SpaceThis property is at the top of a small hill. Access to the beach and shops can be either via the set of concrete stairs leading down into Goodwin Park, or via the footpath along Dutton St. It is suitable for folk with reasonable, average fitness but not suitable for folk who require walking assistance. It is also tough to push a stroller up the hill to come home. The saltwater pool level area of our property features 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds suitable for 2 couples. There is also a single bed in the living area. The living area has a comfortable two-seater sofa and 2 chairs and a desk. The new kitchen features a Bosch induction cooktop, a Westinghouse wall oven and microwave, a Haier dishwasher, and a Delonghi coffee machine. There is a separate bathroom and toilet. Wifi throughout. Guest AccessGuests have full private access to the pool level of our property. There is a lockable door that separates the upstairs and downstairs sections of our home. Guests have their own private access to the apartment downstairs and exclusive use of the covered carport. There is shared access to the delightful salt water pool and spa. Arie and I live upstairs with our 14 year old Jack Russell dog named Jet and our new 11 year old Jack Russell X named Boswell. Interaction with GuestsWe are available upstairs and happy to help you with local knowledge and assistance so that you enjoy a wonderful time at our beautiful Coolangatta. Or you can enjoy total privacy, come and go as you please and not know we are even there! Please be aware that we don't provide breakfast so let us know if you need us to pick up your favourite breakfast items! Also, please remember that this is a non-smoking property both inside and outside. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is easy-going and relaxed. There are lots of cafes, restaurants, cinemas, parks, surfing beaches within a short walk from home. Getting AroundThere is a regular Gold Coast City Council bus that departs every 10 minutes from the main shopping street in Coolangatta - a 2 minute walk from our house. The buses go to Surfers Paradise, or the shopping hubs like Robina or Pacific Fair and there is a regular bus to Byron Bay. Other Things to NoteWe have a few bicycles we are happy to adjust for you if you would like to pedal around to explore the local area. There are plenty of bikeways, heading north or south, and our local knowledge can keep you on quiet roads.

The SpaceSelf-contained and fully equipped. Our tastefully furnished, one-bedroom unit sits beneath the family home - a lovely old Queenslander with views to the Pacific. Enter through the tropical garden beneath a giant Poinsettia tree. Flip on the air-con and TV and breath in the cool quiet sea air, cook up a storm, share a drink on the deck, fire up the barbie out back. Guest AccessIt's all yours. Front deck, kitchen, lounge, bedroom, bathroom, laundry, courtyard. Share the front and back gardens with the guys upstairs. Interaction with GuestsIt's your call. We're just upstairs and love to swap stories with new faces from different places over a drink or meal. The NeighborhoodIt's the best. Every morning we sit on the patio and look out over the ocean and watch the lorikeets in the trees below. Few people get to see whales breach while they wash the dishes or hear the crash of the waves as they echo around the few high-rises in the dead of night. Coolangatta has some of the best beaches in the world loved by all the world's best surfers - many of them calling this place home. You can ride a bike or walk along the beach for 30-40km if you like, or a few if you prefer. There's kid's playgrounds, free barbecues and even hot water provided along with picnic tables. Every year this place hosts some iconic surf carnivals and Cooli Rocks - a 10-day love affair of old cars and rock'n'roll. ... and the locals still say "g'day"! Getting AroundWalk a block to the bus stop which takes you to Broadbeach and links with the light rail that runs into Surfers Paradise and Southport. Buses also can get you to the themeparks on the northern Gold Coast. Catch the bus to the train stations that take you to Brisbane or the Brisbane airport. Unit is located just footsteps from beautiful Kirra beach and a short walk to the heart of Coolangatta and all of it's cafés, bars, restaurants and amenities (supermarket, chemist, post office, etc.). Ceiling fans throughout unit (not that you need them most days with beautiful sea breezes). TV and DVD in lounge room and main bedroom. All linen and bath towels provided as well as extra blankets in winter. Unit is child friendly with fenced patio/ verandah. Baby bath, portacot and high chair are available for use upon request. Guest AccessFull access to 2 bedroom unit. Laundry available from 7am to 5pm every day with coin operated washing machine (3x$1 coins per load) which is shared with other guests. Off street parking available on grass in front of building. Interaction with GuestsYou MUST confirm a suitable check in time to meet up with the cleaner (who lives on site) to collect keys. This time MUST be confirmed prior to check in date and should this time need to be altered it MUST be altered via airBNB message to myself 1 hr before set time - otherwise booking will be cancelled due to non compliance with house rules. The NeighborhoodBest of both worlds - you are close to beautiful Kirra Beach and the heart of Coolangatta whilst also having your own private retreat away from it all. Everything is just a short, leisurely walk or bike ride away - all on level ground along the foreshore. Lots of delicious and affordable cafes, restaurants and surf clubs to suit every occasion and taste. There is always something to do in Coolangatta whether it be the local fortnightly arts and crafts markets to the Cooly Rocks 50's & 60's festival to the annual Christmas carnival and rides. A lovely, laid back, family orientated area to relax and unwind. I have left a printed hard copy of the guidebook in each unit that has heaps of information on the local area, its attractions, eateries and transport options. Getting AroundBus stop is less than 20 metres walk from unit with buses going to both northern (Broadbeach & Surfers Paradise) and southern (Tweed Heads, Banora Point, Kingscliff) ends of the Gold Coast. Coast Tours & Transfers is a private bus tour company that is available to transport you to and from theme parks and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. This company can also organise private shopping and brewery tours as well as private tours down to Byron Bay and other scenic places. Pricing starts from $25 per person (return) for parties of 1-4 people (min. 3 pp) and gets to as low as $15 per person (return) for parties of 9-11 people. Check their website for details: (URL HIDDEN) Off street parking is available on the grassed area in front of the main building. Please park your car in an orderly fashion facing the fence. Please keep in mind that six cars can and need to be able to fit in this space at all times. Unit is located 1.8klms from Gold Coast airport so a short taxi or bus trip to/ from unit. We have had previous guests walk to/ from airport with their luggage so this is an option also but it is totally up to you. Other Things to NoteDue to previous guests not being honest members of the airBNB community, house rules MUST be strictly adhered to otherwise booking will be cancelled effective immediately. Unfortunately we have had to enforce these strict house rules so as to protect us, as a host, against dishonest airBNB guests.

Lift access is available to all levels. A shuttle bus can be booked to transport you from the airport or to theme parks. Please ask costs for these and other day trips at reception once you arrive. The SpaceEnjoy all that Coolangatta has to offer from this gorgeous two bedroom fully self-contained apartment. It has just been fully renovated with brand new everything, polished timber floors, fresh paint, all new bathroom tiling and fittings, blinds etc. The kitchen has been almost fully renovated (new benchtop, sink, splash back, fresh paint etc). The only thing that is not new is the kitchen cupboards and the laundry equipment. The main bedroom is large and features a very sturdy queen bed. This room can also fit a port-a-cot (supplied). It also has wardrobe hanging space for clothes with shelving. The second bedroom features bunk beds for two kids, or two more adults. So we can sleep up to four adults, or a family of four. Plus we can accommodate five if you have a baby, but this is only in a port-a-cot. We cannot take five adults or a family of 5 unless the youngest is a baby. (Please note that the QLD Government does not recommend sleeping in top bunk beds for children under the age of nine. Our bunk complies to the latest regulations and you can see our compliance checklist if you wish. If you book this accommodation and you don't adhere to the recommended guidelines you do so at your own risk). Everything you need to enjoy your holiday including linen, towels, beach towels, games and other stuff. Kids toys can be included, just ask. The kitchen features fridge, electric oven and cooktop, espresso coffee machine, microwave, toaster, pots, pans, utensils etc. Everything a gourmet chef could want for meal preparation! The bathroom is full of all brand new fully renovated fittings, all new tiles, floor to ceiling. The WC is separate to the bathroom, so two people can kind of use the facilities at the same time. Guest AccessOutside your unit there is a large balcony, 2.5m x 6m where you will sit at the outdoor table and enjoy a couple of sundowners. There is even another courtyard type space about 3m x 6m where young kids might play on skateboards or scooters or similar (not provided). Please note the balcony has an older style of railing which is not fully child proof, so young toddler age children will need supervision in this area, or, if you are busy inside, say cooking, you can keep them inside with a lockable screen security door (or the solid door). Interaction with GuestsWe will leave you to enjoy your holiday - we don't live on the premises (we used to). We aim to be super-organised so that your check-in, check-out and your stay is seamless and everything you want it to be. You won't even need a key - we have a super-cool keyless entry via a pin number with your very own unique PIN number, kind of like Star Trek. We will message you with your PIN number about 48 hours prior to your arrival. The NeighborhoodThe location of this apartment, for the price is second to none. It is a just three blocks back from Coolangatta Beach, so its about a three minute walk to the beachfront and restaurants and cafes. Best of all it is elevated enough to get breezes and some limited ocean views from the balcony, without you having to walk up any steep hills! This is really key in summer, to get a view, usually you have to walk up some really steep hills. Even many places uphill from us have no views. You don't want to be arriving home super sweaty every time you go out. Our place is elevated enough for breezes and some views, but up only a short, gentle incline - very rare indeed. (That's actually why we own this place!) Although Kirra Beach is "over the hill" from here, for you it's not, as directly over the road from your apartment there is path. "The Cutting" is a footpath/cycleway following the former train line that used to run from here to Brisbane. Because trains can't go up steep hills, Kirra Hill has been cut through, leaving your own shady very gently inclined path through to Kirra Beach. Many locals don't even know about it! In terms of safety, we are over-the-road from the Police Station. All the beaches, restaurants, cafes and shops of Coolangatta are accessible within 5 minutes walk. There are so many "casual dining" type restaurants all within walking distance. Our "Welcome Pack" will show you our personal favourites, developed over many years, where you can easily eat out for $10 to $15 per head every night of the week. If you prefer to self-cater, "The Strand" Shopping Centre in the heart of Coolangatta is a 5 minute walk and contains an Aldi and a brand new full-sized Woolworths Supermarket with a massive deli and fresh food section. If you are like us, you will spend your days on foot around the beach areas, and you can pick yourself up some fresh supplies each day on your way home. Its close enough to walk with shopping bags for one day's supply. If Woolies and Aldi isn't enough for you (!) you also have the option of the Tweed Mall. If you like the idea of strolling interstate for your shopping, Tweed Mall, about a 10 minute walk, has another Woolworths Supermarket, a Coles, and more than 60 other specialty stores. The region is famous for its Surf Life Saving and RSL type clubs where you can you can get a big meal with a great view for a modest price. At least five of them are within easy walking distance. Getting AroundIn less than five minutes you can amble down the hill to Griffith Street where buses will connect you to all the other parts of the Gold Coast such as Surfers Paradise. From here you can also get buses to the Gold Coast airport (which is a five minute drive) and train connections to Brisbane. Other Things to NoteYou will be staying in one of four apartments on the property. The other one is identical and may also available to book on this site, its description is STROLL TO BEACH AND TOWN. UNIT 2. (if you want to search for it). That one may be available if this one is not and you can see more of our fabulous reviews there. If you need the port-a-cot just check with us. We have one that we share between our two Airbnb apartments. It would be unlikely that guests from both guests would need it at the same time, but if this is critical, just check and we'll let you know. If you have young kids this place is ideal (but please read the 'Guest Access' section above regarding the railing if you have toddlers). There is a port-a-cot and linen that you are welcome to use. There is also a high chair if you need, it, just ask. Even a few toys can be provided if needed. Excessive noise from other residents of the building is never a problem, but there may be the odd occasion when you will hear footsteps and similar dull sounds from us upstairs. We have never had a complaint from a guest, we just want you to know up front that it is likely that at some stage during your stay you will hear some minor sounds. Our former permanent tenant in this apartment said it was never a problem. The apartments upstairs are usually permanently tenanted and we screen our tenants way more thoroughly than most owners (and all agents!), so that we can do our best to offer you peace and quiet during your stay.

The SpaceThe house itself has undergone major renovations in 2012. Polished brushbox and mixed hardwood floors, massive outdoor deck, turfed courtyard, outdoor hot/cold shower, guest room on separate level and new gourmet kitchen with stone bench tops. The open plan lounge now opens to the large deck with 6m cedar bifolds and 2m servery bifolds- bringing the outside in and capturing the magnificent 180 degree views. Two sets of French Doors in the lounge also seamlessly integrate to the front courtyard opening up the entire space to be accessed from courtyard to lounge/ kitchen to deck with ease. Bedding configuration is split over four rooms. 1x King 1x Queen 1x Queen + futon 4x Single Plus additional futon in the lounge Plus additional futon in the kids nook which is a small room at the end of the hall and can be curtained off with blinds. New Kids Space contains Xbox, 40 inch LCD TV and bean bags/ cushions seating. All linen and towels are provided. The yard is also fully fenced and pet friendly. This is truly an amazing holiday location and one you will never forget. The SpaceMy apartment has polished timber floors, fresh carpet, fresh bathroom and clean. The guest bedroom has built in robes and guest bathroom has a washing machine and kitchen has a dishwasher. The bedrooms face an adjoining building. The building has one apartment per floor. Therefore, it is rather a private and quiet place. The space is available for a month. I'd prefer to rent it for the longest period of time as I'm off to Melbourne for surgery. :-) Guest AccessThe stove works. Unlimited wireless internet. The house is yours. The SpaceApartment is air conditioned with large TV in lounge room along with a DVD player. The kitchen is fitted with fridge and microwave, dishwasher and dining setting for 8 persons. Mini golf is on the premises and hire bikes are available. I will greet you on arrival and usher you to your apartment, where I will provide you with access keys and directions to all in-house facilities and some guides to other attractions in the immediate area. Theme park tickets are purchased from the tourist desk. A shuttle is available to the parks and can be organised through the tourist desk. Quiet end of Kirra precinct, walking distance to shops and cafe's. Supermarkets and hotel. Surf clubs with live music are about 1000 mtres. Shuttle buses to theme parks.     The SpaceIt's beautifully positioned, 150 or so meters to the ocean waters. Located at the end of a cal-de-sac on top of Kirra Hill, it is just a short walk to Kirra and Coolongatta's beaches, public transport, cafe's and shops. It really is an amazing location. Quiet but also so close. The views over looking Kirra beach cannot possibly be built out. The building is an older style 60's built building. Whilst I feel the unit is all-time, there's definitely room for improvement. At this point in time I am unable to offer wifi as a result of some cabling issues that I will hopefully have fixed soon. The floors are now worn and will have to be replaced at some stage, although still functional. In time, new blinds and screen doors will be installed throughout although the existing ones are still quite functional. The place isn't fitted with luxurious fittings; I only mention this because if it's complete modern living you're after, this will then disappoint. What you see in the photos is what you get, although I believe these images don't give the place it's true justice. This place is very much about the location and the many skyline moods that the place offers. Having said that... All appliances are modern, new and user friendly. Not one to encourage the indoors too much, but if you're one who loves a lock in, need I say, this place is awesome for a lock in, the 60" smart 3D TV allows you to hook up your computer to a wonderful screen. The couch is glorious, making movie watching particularly good. Short and long-term stays are both welcomed. The best thing about it I think is, how beautiful the mornings and afternoons are. The sky just lights up. This hill top abode is comfy as it is relaxed. The main bedroom overlooks the Kirra Beach and is kitted out with a sufer comfy queen size. You can relax on the balcony or enjoy the tranquils from the lounge. It is ideal for up to four people but perfect for two. If you have any queries about the place, just ask. As this place is listed on Airbnb on a full time basis with no blocked dates (apart from existing bookings), I stock only the basics. So please don't question whether or no you 'can or cant?' with anything, you can! Apart from the bedroom that I use (that will be locked), the apartment is yours. Interaction with GuestsBecause the key will be left in the master lock for you, it will not be necessary for me to meet you, and there is a house guide inside the apartment with useful information. I am always available via phone or email however, and my parents live very close by and are always willing to help. If you need something immediately, just give me a call on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), or my father, John, on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Otherwise, shoot me an email and I will get back to you ASAP. You are welcome to come as early and leave as late as you like in some circumstances. The exception is arrivals and departure bookings on the same day. In this circumstance, I do ask that you arrive after 11am, and leave before 1pm so as the cleaner has ample time. This will not always be the case necessarily, so please let me know of your request in advance. The NeighborhoodThe unit itself is comfortable, clean, sunny and open. The location is perfect... Getting AroundThe apartment is about a two minute walk to the Coolangatta bus station, and a five minute drive from the Coolangatta airport. All of Coolangatta's restaurants, bars, cafe's, and shops are within a five minute walking distance. Other Things to NotePlease help yourself to staple items in the fridge (tea, coffee, butter, jam, oil, etc). This will save you having to buy it yourself if you are here for a short stay. I just ask that any items that you use in excess are replaced. There is also washing powder in the bathroom cupboard should you choose to do some washing while you are here (the clothes horse is on the balcony behind the sofa). If you want to use the washing machine, just turn it in at the power and make sure the water tap is turned on (located to the right hand side of the machine). It uses cold water only. I just ask that you turn the water tap and the power off after you have finished. Should you be staying for a while, there are yellow bins at the back of the complex for recyclable items, and a larger bin for rubbish. The bin in the unit is divided accordingly, and pink plastic liners are located in the pantry. You are able to smoke on the balcony should you choose, I just ask that you dispose of cigarette butts, etc. It is strictly no smoking inside the apartment. The fan and light switch for the bedroom and lounge area is located on a controller next to the light switches for the respective rooms. It is important to note that the light switch MUST be turned on for the controller to work. If it rains heavily, I ask that you move the cushions for the balcony lounge out of the rain (either indoors or against the glass on the balcony). The cane lounges are ok to stay where they are. Completely self contained with a full kitchen with dishwasher and large fridge and all crockery and cutlery to serve 6. Cook in the apartment or visit one of the many great nearby restaurants. Guest AccessThe building is secured by swipe card with access to the apartment by a secure lift which opens directly into the apartment (with swipe card access limited to the apartment). There is secure parking under the building for a single guest car. There is a guest swimming pool and common BBQ area available to the rear of the building and of course the beautiful and safe Kirra Beach for swimming right across the road. This and all apartments in this building have no common hallways, the lift opens directly into the apartment and there are two fire exit doors into a stairwell that cannot be locked. If you have small children that you are concerned cannot be contained in the apartment and will venture down the stairwell or keep calling the lift, this building is probably not suitable for your stay. At least until your child/children get a bit older. Interaction with GuestsThere are on site manager to assist guests with their needs including information and bookings for local attractions such as Dream World, Movie World and Sea World as well as car hire and bus timetables. The NeighborhoodThe famous Kirra surf beach hosts regular surfing events at Kirra Point one of the worlds premier surf breaks between Kirra and Coolangatta. Rainbow Bay and Snapper Rocks are also in walking distance. Literally 5 minutes away from the Gold Coast (Coolangatta) International Airport for easy access. Off-street parking is available in the building if you are driving. Restaurants are just downstairs in the same building, with great breakfast, lunch and dinner spots available in the same block. Plenty of great food options close by - no need to cook if you don't want to. Getting Around5 minutes from Gold Coast (Coolangatta ) airport. There is a bus stop right outside for buses to Tweed Heads, Coolangatta and up to Surfers Paradise. The G Light Rail at Surfers Paradise makes it easy to get around Surfers. A 40 minute drive to the close by theme parks (Sea World, Movie World and Dream World). 1 hour easy drive to Brisbane on the Pacific Highway which takes you right into the centre of Brisbane. Public Transport options to Sea World, Dream World and Movie World can be found on the Translink Journey Planner website. The NeighborhoodIt is pretty quiet here. Plenty of local take-away, restaurants, clubs. Approx 30 mins from the theme parks, Surfers Paradise and beaches in NSW & QLD Getting AroundNo convenient public transport, but the village does have a bus service that goes to Coolangatta (has a movie theatre)main street, then it goes to the 2 other shopping centres in Tweed Heads and South Tweed(has a movie theatre). You really need a car here. If you wish to stay here and do not have a car, it would be my pleasure to pick you up. This of course will depend on what day and time you plan to arrive. This is the only resort apartment complex in either Coolangatta or Tweed Heads with absolute water and beach access (no roads to cross).
