The 2 bedroom accommodation is situation is a quiet and family street in Edge Hill. The rooms are part of a 4 bedroom Queenslander, situated downstairs with fully self-contained living room, kitchen, living room and bathroom with its entrance and complete privacy. You will also enjoy the swimming pool, BBQ, large veranda, free Wi-Fi, free local, STD, 13 and 1 300 calls to landline phones within Australia. The attractions are close proximity to airport, botanical garden and the tank art centre.
There are 2 bedrooms, a living room, bathroom and kitchen with your own entrance/exit. You will enjoy complete privacy. Street parking is available at the front of the house. The living room joins a veranda which has a 6 chair dining table, BBQ and 4 leisure chairs. There is sand box for children to play. A salt water swimming pool is available to you from 8:00am to 9:00pm.
First bedroom has a queen size bed with side table, 2 side lamp and large build in wardrobe. The room has a ceiling fan and an air conditioner.
The second bedroom has a double bed, 2 side tables, 2 table lamps and a chest of drawers with ceiling fan.
A large living room has a digital TV, DVD player and 2 two seater recliner chair.
Kitchen is fully equipped with a toaster, electric kettle, Microwave, 2 door fridge, drip coffee machine and wine rack. There is a two burner gas stove for cooking situated in the veranda. Guest who prefers to cook can use both the gas stove and the BBQ. Guests are required to clean the BBQ and the stove including the utensils after use. We have provided sufficient utensils for cooking, plates, wine glasses, coffee mugs and cutlery.
The veranda has a 6 chair dining table, 4 leisure chairs, gas BBQ and a gas stove.
You will enjoy free-to-air digital TV, DVD player and additional HDMI cable access for your video/audio input to the TV.
Free Wireless Wi-Fi with unlimited download. You will also have access to free phone to make local, STD, 13 and 1300 call to any landline phone within Australia. No mobile and international calls.
The laundry has a washing machine, DRYER and laundry soap for guest use. The use of the dryer is at a cost of $5 per load. In Cairns with nice warm weather clothes generally dry in the clothesline situated outdoor. In case of bad weather there a retractable clothesline situated under shade which can be used for drying clothes. In case of emergency the DRYER can be used.
Swimming pool is available for use by guest only and limited until 9pm only. Guests are required to have a shower situated at the pool before entering the pool. No party around the pool. Noise should be kept to a minimum as this is a family area.
You can enter and exit by the backdoor. Entrance to the backdoor is via both sides of the house
There is a local bus that runs regularly into the centre of Cairns, 15 minutes to the hour every hour and slightly less on weekends, until about 10pm. A taxi from town is between $20 and $25 back to the house. A taxi to and fro airport will cost about $20 to $25 and takes less than 10 min.
Edge Hill has long been known as the premier suburb of Cairns. We are surrounded by the picturesque Whitfield range, Botanic Gardens, Centenary Lakes, Red & Blue Arrow walking tracks, and Tanks Art Centre.
The house is situated in Hall St which joins Pease Street and continues on the Collins Ave and Woodward Street. There are Chinese, Thai, Japanese and traditional Aussie restaurants in Collin Street. There is a great bakery at the corner of Pease St and Collins Ave. Piconnes Shopping Centre is only about 5 min away on Pease St that has a IGA super market, post office, McDonalds and many other shopping facilities

My wife and I are both retired and generally at home unless we are playing golf. We will assist you in every way to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.
Hall street in Edge Hill is a family area. You will find children playing in the street in the evening and parents gather around to chit chat.

Cairns Botanic Gardens
The garden is about 10 min walking distance from 23 Hall St. The Cairns Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre is located on Collins Avenue, Edge Hill between Flecker Garden and the Tanks Arts Centre.
Tanks Art Centre
Tanks Arts Centre is Cairns’ premier contemporary arts venue, incorporating music, performance, theatre and visual art with community events and engagement. Set in the Cairns Botanic Gardens Precinct, nature is entwined with culture here.
Red Arrow walk
The Red Arrow loop trail (1.5km return) beginning at Collins Avenue, climbs 100m in elevation through rainforest, Eucalypt forest and grasslands to a lookout above the Cairns International Airport offering views over the city and out to Green Island.
Blue Arrow Walk
Approximately halfway up the Red Arrow Walk, the track splits into two and forms The Blue Arrow walk. This steep climb, which ascends the mountain to a height of 365 metres above sea level, is reserved for those among us that are masochistically fit and yearn for the burn. It is 5.4 km long
