The SpaceThe house is fairly new, build in 2008. It has been created as a Space of Love and Sanctuary and is a wonderful place to immerse yourself in a transformational personal retreat.
The house is sustainable, with only tank water, solar electricity and solar hot water. The sun heats the house in winter and the breezes cool it in summer.
The living space is light and airy, and you have a sensation of living outside, but still inside.
In front your room, which is in a separate pavillion to our sleeping and the living area, is a long balcony. You will have your own bathroom and a separate toilet (bathroom has a shower/bath).
You can book for a day, more days or a week.
We are right underneath a forest, and while I type this I hear all kinds of Australian birds singing, kangaroos coughing and jumping or lazing around...and your eyes are immersed in green of the lush plants and grass and the blue of the sky (most of the (URL HIDDEN) can be cloudy on occasion in Queensland :) .
The location is unique as well, as you are so close to the Gold Coast Airport, and the vibrant part of the Gold Coast, Theme Parks, WildLive Sanctuary, Rock Pools, most beautiful beaches in the world, cafes, restaurants etc..... Guest AccessYou will have access to kilometres of walking paths, hectares of green space, resort pool, pizza oven, gym, barbecues. You will be surrounded by many native visitors....kangaroos, ducks, the odd koala, many bird species, etc. Interaction with GuestsI will interact with you personally in this retreat and my schedule is totally freed up for you. I will tailor personal sessions for you, which are intermitted by your own free time to process, integrate, relax, rejuvenate, connect with nature and yourself. I provide a healthy and nutrious breakfast, lunch and dinner for you. The NeighborhoodWe (the whole community) share amazing facilities including acres of open green space with miles of walking & cycling tracks and paths, a resort style salt water pool in our community centre, which includes a gymnasium, mud brick pizza oven and tandoor oven, barbecue area, library, meditation gardens and a creek flowing through the property which, I believe, has had the odd fish caught.
The village is a very safe area for children and families but be mindful of the open waterways and swales.
There are plenty of shared fruit trees so that you can pick a piece of fruit while you are out walking. Most houses have vegetable gardens and we are all trying our best to be "growers" even though most of us are professionals, learning how to be sustainable. It is not a "Hippy" village.
Our Eco Village won "The World's best Environmental Development" a couple of years ago and you will find many friends the more you walk around the village. Getting AroundA car is highly recommended as public transport isn't close by as yet. We are only seven kilometres from the beautiful Currumbin Beach and Estuary and only four to five kilometres to lovely restaurants and small shopping centre.
The native fauna, including kangaroos and hundreds of bird species etc, live here with us and we love that. Therefore we don't allow domestic pets.
You can be as private or as sociable as you wish to be. Other Things to NoteYou have your own private sleeping area and bathroom, which is in a separate building, but connected to our main living area.
