The SpaceOur gorgeous beach home is available for your own personal beach retreat! Wake with the morning light to the sight & sound of the waves & be the first person to leave your footrpints in the sand :) The home has been designed to catch the sea breezes with big sliding doors and louvre windows and fans throughout. The lounge and main bedroom are air-conditioned for the odd occasions you may need it. Leave the internal doors open to cool the whole house. The Beach House Toolakea is a fully renovated, stylish and comfortable home. We have 3 bedrooms, one bathroom (with a luxurious deep bath), an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with kitchen and laundry. There is a huge veranda with multiple seating options including a luxurious day bed and a fabulous observation tower, perfect for afternoon drinks watching the sunset! The living area has a 4 seater dining table, leather lounge (with chaise), comfortable arm chair and floor cushions for the kids (& adults) to lounge on. There is a television & DVD in the lounge and a selection of DVDs for you to enjoy. The home is tiled throughout so it's cool and easy to keep clean. Bed linen and towels are provided. This gorgeous Beach House will take you back to your childhood when people had real family holidays! We are located right on the beachfront at Toolakea Beach, a hidden gem in the north Queensland coastline. Walk along the sandy path to the beach & enjoy hours of beach combing, birdwatching or fishing. This area is a photographers delight with many photo opportunities - beautiful sandy stretches, mangrove inlets and stunning sunrises/sunsets. This is a beautiful safe & peaceful environment. CHECK IN: Our standard check in time is 2pm and check out is 10am. We are more than happy to be flexible dependent on your individual arrival and departure times & other guest bookings - please ask! The Space Whether you are here on business or need some time out we are here to make your stay in Townsville relaxed. Draw on our local knowledge to see as much or as little as you would like. Making sure you access the sights, sounds, taste and delights of our wonderful city. We have large entertainment areas and many different spaces in the house for privacy and quiet reflection. Guest AccessThe house is open and easy. We like our guests to feel at home. If you like to cook our kitchen is well equipped. Preferring a quiet read by the pool or in the garden with a glass of wine is always great option. Interaction with GuestsA coffee, a glass of wine by the pool and a chat needed can be arranged. Should some peace and quiet alone time be your thing we have just the space in our relaxed happy atmosphere. We both work from home, attempting to keep business hours with flexiblity!! The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is friendly and relaxed, although so close to main shopping centre and main roads is very quiet. Getting AroundPublic transport is at the end of the street. it is a 10 minute taxi ride from (URL HIDDEN) to drop off and pick up should we be available. Even a tour of our lovely town can be arranged. We have ample parking space available. Other Things to NoteOur generous hospitality sees many of our visitors return. The SpaceThis downstairs one bedroom flat is a great place to make home base for a few days. Accommodates a family of 4. FREE WIFI which is always a plus! It is in a quiet street within walking distance to shops. 5 minutes from Airport. Entire little flat on the bottom floor of our 2 storey house. It is air-conditioned, sunny, breezy and very comfortable to spend any amount of time. Considerably bigger than a studio, it has its own bedroom. The queen sized bed has a comfortable innerspring mattress. There is a separate living room/kitchen with all utensils and items needed for cooking, a good sized fridge, and in the lounge there is a TV and a sofa that folds out into a double bed (perfect for kids, and a few nights for adults). The sofa bed sheets and other items are kept in the bedroom wardrobe top shelf. There is also an outdoor entertaining area, with outdoor furniture, all under cover for your convenience. There is space to park your car included. This Flat is priced at only 1 person, there is a fee for each other person that stays. Please include the total number of people staying when filling out the payment forms. We cannot wait to host you! :) Go straight in the glass sliding door. The unit will be unlocked when you arrive, and your key waiting on the bench. Please leave it unlocked when you leave. You are welcome to park your car in the carport near the door. You are also welcome to use the shared laundry unit we have under the house. There is a washing machine and a few different clothes lines to hang out clothes for a quick dry. This is ideal for people wanting to look after themselves, but we will do our best to assist you if you have any problems or queries. If it is school holidays, we will most probably be away. We list our upstairs unit on airbnb during school holidays, so it is likely there will be guests staying there. Introduce yourselves and have a chat! Our neighbourhood is very quiet and friendly. It is the perfect place to relax for a few days in your travels. -Just around the corner there are a row of shops that boast the best delicatessen in Townsville, a general store, a renowned bakery, a butcher, a bottle shop, and a popular fish & chips shop, all within a 2 minute walk. -A minute's drive away is a supermarket. -About a 3 minute drive brings you to the Castletown shopping complex with a gym right beside it for the health conscious. -Around walk around the corner is a very nice park with swings, play equipment for children and soccer fields. -The Warrina Cinema is a 3 minute drive away. -The popular free Riverway swimming complex is a short drive. -Last but not least, the famous and beautiful Strand and Castle Hill are a 15 minute drive, along with all the popular coffee shops and restaurants The Strand has to offer, 5 minutes from the strand is Palmers St which boasts many restaurants and bars, all accessible by car from our home of course. On The Strand there are many ferries that can take you to the picturesque Magnetic Island including a car ferry for those wishing to take their car, otherwise there are buses on the island for a one time fee of approximately $6 will take you around the island as many times as you want. It is best to have your own car in order to see most of what this city has to offer on your own time. If you do not have a car then public transport (bus) is close by on Banfield Drive and Bayswater Road. It will take you to the city or out towards the Stocklands shopping centre near the hospital and Uni. The car hire company many guests have said is good value, is Economy Car Rentals. They are based at Townsville Airport. We are 5 mins from TSV airport. 10 mins drive north to The Strand & CBD 10 mins drive south to the hospital and University. The SpaceThere are two rooms available in this rustic cottage for private use. The first has a double mattress on the floor, fan and high ceilings. The second has a single bed, BIR and fan. Neither has air-conditioning, but the cottage has been designed to promote sea breezes flowing through the house so it is not necessary. I am in the third bedroom. All other areas except the shed are available for communal use. The full equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, new gas stovetop, fridge, toaster, food processor, slow cooker, kettle, etc. The bathroom includes a new washing machine. The furniture is spare but sufficient. Linen and towels are included, as well as basic toiletries and breakfast. You're welcome to use the wireless for reasonable usage (e.g. using search engines and checking email but not downloading movies). No TV but plenty of books, birds and a ukulele, as well as decks to relax on. A Castle Hill walking track is only 2 blocks away. Minimum 2 night stay please. The price is per room per night. Guest AccessEverywhere except the shed and my private room. Interaction with GuestsThe home has a large collection of pamphlets on touristy things to do in Townsville. There's also books on northern Australian plants, birds and architecture. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have, or respect your space and leave you alone as you wish. The NeighborhoodWest End is an inner city suburb full of character homes - my home is part of Townsville's Character Residential zone, which includes quintessential Queensland houses that typify tropical living. Castle Hill walking tracks are only 2 blocks away. You can walk to an IGA, Ingham Road Seafood is at the end of the street, the West End teahouse and various delis are close, as are the historical West End Hotel and cemetery. The local bowls club and Adventist and Anglican churches are just down the road. And you can walk into the CBD. Getting AroundThere are bus routes one block away. Best of all, you can walk - either directly to town via roads, or through Castle Hill to the CBD or the Strand. I'd also be happy to lend you my bike. A taxi from the airport costs $10 - $15. Other Things to NoteMango season is coming up! The good part of this is that you may be here when the trees are ripe - yum! The bad thing is that they fall off and hit the roof sometimes - it's not a big deal but you may wonder what the noise is. The house is old - but personally, I think this adds to the charm :)

Interaction with GuestsThis house has a downstairs unit (owners live upstairs) with 2 large bedrooms with 1 x queen bed (Bed room 1) and 1 x queen bed (Bed room 2), bathroom, lounge, dining area, kitchenette and patio. The two bedrooms are private rooms that are only made available via airbnb's booking and approval system. The unit caters for ~2-4 airbnb guests (mix of singles and couples) at any given time via separate bookings for each room. Occasionally, you could have the unit all to yourself. This is purely dependent upon which rooms are booked during your stay. At times, you may also enjoy interacting with multiple guests from different cultures and countries. The bathroom and kitchenette are areas that are designed for clean, organised shared living spaces. There is plenty of space for privacy and or interaction with other guests on the patio, in the lounge and dining areas. The NeighborhoodClose to home base are a number of handy businesses like grocery stores, pharmacy, gym, service station, dentist, doctor, bottle shops, take away shops, newsagent, Saint Vincent de Paul and Lifeline stores. The SpaceA few things i like to mention.. if you are 1 traveller or 4, this home can fit you in. I have 3 spare rooms, 1 double bed, 1 sofa cum bed and i can arrange for further beds if needed You will have your own bath with jacuzzi and a separate toilet Guest AccessYou have access to almost everywhere in the home except my room. Kitchen and tv lounge are shared where we may have a cuppa and a chat Getting AroundAirport is 7km from here so Taxi cost approximately 20aud. If i am not working, i can come to pick you from the airport as well (provided your luggage is not too much) :)

    This beautifully furnished house features 3 bedrooms and one bathroom. Setup for up to 5 Adults . Ideal for Hospital stays/visits, Business/work, University, families, holiday. The master has a queen bed with built ins, the second bedroom features 2 King single beds. The third is a smaller sleep out and has a single bed. Fully self contained this house has everything you need and serviced for your comfort weekly. BBq and outdoor lounge suite for a lovely beverage in the cool breeze. Breakfast indoors in air-conditioning in the warmer months or eat on the deck to fully enjoy the breezes and stunning views of Castle Hill & Magnetic Island. Guest AccessFeel free to use the lower deck and pool area which has comfy loungers and a double hammock, perfect for reading a book or sipping a cocktail. (Ask about our free Kitty's Comet). There is no access to the kitchen but a microwave, fridge, toaster, sandwich toaster and kettle are provided for your use. Interaction with GuestsI will be available to offer help and some lifts and I am happy to make reservations for dinner at one of our fab restaurants here in Townsville. Lifts to the V8's may be arranged if I am available The NeighborhoodOur home is situated on the side of Mount Louisa offering fabulous views of the city, Castle Hill and Magnetic Island. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind. Local deli, bottleshop, bakery and park are within walking distance and there's a supermarket, pharmacy and fish and chip shop 3 minute drive away. Very handy to the airport and to the Bruce Highway for those heading North to Cairns or South towards Airlie Beach. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop within walking distance. (See Sunbus for timetables). If available, I am more than happy to drop you into town or to the Strand or Riverway. We are a 10 minute drive from the airport. Other Things to NoteDon't bother packing shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, hairdryer, talcum powder or soap as it's all provided free of charge. Pool towels are also available. We have a huge selection of reading material available that you are welcome to borrow/exchange, as well as a large collection of movies for you to borrow and watch in the privacy of your own room.

    The SpaceRenovated 3 bedroom house with new kitchen bathroom and laundry area. The house is fully airconditioned, there are 2 queen beds and a single bed with a large balcony for entertaining. There is a lock up garage with secure parking. This space is great value for money!!! There is a small studio apartment downstairs that is also on air bnb. These spaces are completely separate so there is complete privacy. There is also double gate side access and a large fully fence yard. So close to the airport. The space is very central to shops it is a short drive to the cbd and Townsvilles iconic strand. There is a 3 bedroom unit apstairs that is completely separate each area is private and separated. No need to worry about airport noise you wont hear anything it is well positioned.     The SpaceOur space is special because of its unique atmosphere and charm being everything you would dream of from a traditional North Queensland tropical experience We are 10 minutes from the Strand, 15 minutes to the ferry that takes you to Magnetic Island, 10 minutes to the City, restaurants, cinemas, the Riverway.     The SpaceThe room is under the house and has a little kitchenette just outside the room, a large fridge and tv. The beds are comfortable. There is a desk and a hanger for clothes and some draws. Two single beds. We give you privacy and a really peaceful presence. Often its only the birds and wind in the trees you can hear. A short walk at the end of our street there is a bus stop. Please note the kitchenette has a microwave, large fridge/freezer, kettle and electric frypan. Thats all. No bbq, and no electric stoves tops. We include fresh Milk for tea and coffee. Also a great Caffitaly coffee machine that does the work for you. Coffee pods included but no breakfast. We just found pleasing people with cereals wasn't easy and we don't like to offer a stale breakfast either. So fresh milk, tea and coffee only in our BnB. note our pics are true to form only nicer when you see it - so the previous guests have told us. So if you look at the bedroom it shows 2 single beds, no double. You can always push them together should you wish. Flora and Fauna are a standout. Getting AroundParking is no problem and can assist if you need transport. I am within 30 minutes of Townsville airport which caters for interstate and OS travellers. We have a school bus, however I am doubtful about trying to bus it around. Have friends in town who can assist with drive yourself. Just ask. Magnetic Island is also within in a short drive and a ferry ride to amazing food, wine, and culture. Hire car is essential as their are no buses available except my own....and of course a school bus. We are central to the City, The Strand, Airport, Entertainment Centre, Civic Theatre, V8 track, Castle Hill walking tracks, Ferry Terminal, Showgrounds, Castletown Shopping Centre, & Railway Station. It's a 2 min walk to the local pub!! Our local park, and the old Cemetery are at the end of our street, & one of the Castle Hill walking tracks also starts there. Getting AroundWe are located just off a main road and getting out & about is easy, whether you walk, bike, bus, taxi or car. Our bus stop is less than a 5 minute walk, & the railway station & V8 track, 10 minute walk. Other Things to NoteCar parking is on the street.

      The SpaceMy place is a beautiful old home which has recently undergone a massive renovation. We have created a really nice fully self contained apartment underneath with three lovely bedrooms that we are currently hosting with Airbnb. It has split system Airconditioning and a nice cold pool. The rooms have data points and unlimited internet. The rooms have queen beds with nice linen. There are lounge chairs in each bedroom built in robes and desks. The large shower room comes with double basins and also a front loader washing machine( detergent is supplied). It is in a quiet neighbourhood and close to everything. I will provide tea/coffee milk eggs bread and beans for breakfast. There is a juicer in the kitchen and I can provide an espresso machine if requested plus the best beans in town from our local coffee roasting house! I have a couple of excellent bikes and helmets that can be used. There is no cleaning fee... Guest AccessThe entire downstairs apartment deck and pool. There are 3 bedrooms for rent in the apartment. Total of 6 guests. Interaction with GuestsOnly when guests require something from us or wants a chat/info. We will leave you alone.... The NeighborhoodThe house is half a block to Charters Towers Road bus stops to everywhere it is also just around the corner from the Hermit Park shopping centre and close to the city heart and Strand. The Hermit Park hotel is a 3 minute walk away and the RSL just up the road. Getting AroundBus stops on Charters Towers road which is half a block up the road (2minute walk) Very close (5 minutes by car and bike) to the city/ the Strand train station and ferry terminal. I have two good bikes and helmets that I am happy to loan if you choose. Other Things to NoteWe have two old dogs on the property that mainly hang about upstairs they will not disturb you. We have double soundcheck plasterboard ceilings separating the two levels but you still can hear heavy footsteps from above however ourchildren are well trained with no running upstairs while we have guests downstairs. The apartment is a completely separate residence. The only shared thing is the pool! It is a secure residence with key gate entry and bedrooms have key locks.

You have your own retreat area next to the bedroom which has it's own lounge. The bathroom is shared, as another bedroom is available for other guests. There are two toilets, so you have your own private toilet. Guest AccessThe instructions on accessing our home are detailed in the house manual page once you book. You are welcome to use the pool and we even provide an extra towel so that you can dry yourself before entering the house. The kitchen and dining area are yours to use, but please clean up after yourselves straight after your meals. There are supermarkets, cafes, and fast food outlets conveniently close by. There is a dishwasher, microwave, gas stove and oven. The washing machine may be utilised with a single use sachet of powder provided. Clothes can be hung inside on a clothes drying rack or on the outside line. Media Room – please check with me before use as this may not always be available. Interaction with GuestsThis is ideal for people wanting to look after themselves, but we will do our best to assist you if you have any problems or queries. If it is school holidays, we may be away. Our house is a quiet and peaceful household. My flatmate and I live in the front two bedrooms of the house and the 2 bedrooms at the back are for guests. All residents work business hours, weekdays. You will probably be happily greeted by my three dogs who are outside dogs and are generally well-behaved (they do jump up to greet you but then are happy lazing around the back yard and love a game of fetch!). There are also three chickens that reside in the back yard, but unless you are looking for them you probably won’t notice them. You are also welcome to collect any fresh eggs for your meals! The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is very quiet and friendly. It is the perfect place to relax for a few days in your travels, especially as it is so close to the Bruce Highway. - 2 minute drive to Coles, Woolworths, most of the fast food stores, a bottle shop, and fuel station -most places you will want to access are within 20 minutes’ drive, the airport, city, The Strand, Castle Hill, hospital and university. Getting AroundIt is best to have your own car in order to see most of what this city has to offer in your own time, as the public transport system is minimal. Other Things to NoteDuring the Christmas period I will be looking after a dog whilst the owner is away. She does not come into the house, staying outside all the time. She is old and very gentle.
