The NeighborhoodThe apartment is one of six in a quiet street. There are a handful of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Great Greek, Indian and Fish'n'Chips, to name a few. Its close enough to motorways and main thoroughfares for convenience but without the road noise. Woolongabba Stadium is close, you could walk there if you wanted in about 30 minutes. Its a nice and safe neighbourhood. Getting AroundThe bus stop taking you to South Bank, City and Fortitude Valley is only 2 minutes walk. Coorparoo train station is a 15 minute walk and the line takes you to South Bank, Roma Street, Central Station and Fortitude Valley (Chinatown). A taxi from the city is about $20-25 depending on where you are and $60 from the airport.

The SpaceI am a friendly host with a nice house in a safe area. The room is spacious with polished wooden floors and a comfy bed. I have a couple of backyard chickens so you can enjoy fresh eggs for breakfast! Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire house, including two large decks, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, TV and DVD player, and large backyard, where we love watching our chickens free ranging in the garden. Interaction with GuestsI really enjoy having a chat with my guests at the end of the day and hearing about what they've done during the day. I am happy to share a meal or drive guests into the city if its on my way. The NeighborhoodCoorparoo is a lovely suburb with a mix of heritage listed houses in various styles. There is a great range of cafes and restaurants in Coorparoo, as well as excellent public transport to take you into the city. The area is popular with young professionals and families. Getting AroundThere is a busway within walking distance of the house. By bus, you can be in the city or southbank within five minutes.

Getting AroundThere is a large bus station just down the road, about 8 minutes from here. Close to the Gold Coast Freeway and plenty of parking for guests. Other Things to NoteThere is a large popular public swimming pool just 10 minutes away. (Next to the bus station) Langlands Pool if you want to go swimming or do any training.

The top level (3rd) is where the toilet and bathroom is, which you will share with us (unless we are away). The second level is where you will spend most of your time in the house: kitchen, dining area, living room and balcony. This area is equipped with air conditioning. Your space is on the first level. We converted our garage by putting laminated wooden flooring on (you'll be impressed with the results!). We use the first level as: study room, laundry area.. and YOUR space while in Brisbane. You may go away with an inspiration for your own home! Worry not, you will still enjoy your maximum privacy during your stay. Please ask us if you are unsure. Picturesque tree and garden surroundings. Getting AroundBus stop less than 3 minutes walk with speedy access to city and local centers. Both have been renovated recently so they are very clean and nice (you can view photos) In your room you will find: a very comfy bed, a fan / air-con, laundry basket, desk, LCD TV and ample storage. We also supply all the linen. You would share a very spacious bathroom with one other guest. Our house is very big: Upstairs: 3 bedrooms, lounge room, kitchen, small front veranda, large back deck with 6 burner BBQ and large table, bathroom and separate toilet. Downstairs: 2 bedrooms, rumpus room (music room), cinema room, kitchenette / wet-bar, laundry, gym (weights, exercise bike etc.) bathroom and separate toilet. Outside: Big, level grassy area, Cubby-House (for the young at heart) and 3 chickens that produce yummy, free range, organic eggs. The house is screened throughout so no creepy crwalies, mossies or flies. Guest AccessMake yourself at home. You will have access to the entire house, excluding our bedrooms and bathroom. More specifically: chill out on the hammock (front veranda) with a book or use one of the banana lounges to sun yourself on the grass. Watch a movie in the cinema room or... You get the idea, feel free to use all the lovely facilities in the house, providing that you are respectful to other people. We supply free wi-fi, breakfast and dinner and you can use the washing machine. We also have a fridge downstairs for you to use for any other food you may want. Interaction with GuestsYou can be involved as much or as little as you want. But generally we like to feel like we live in a home and not a hotel. So we definitely expect some interaction. We generally have a sit down dinner as we feel it's a good thing for our family to experience. The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is nice, quite and safe but is also very close to the city. We live on house right next to a nature reserve (Toohey Forest) which offers lovely walking paths and you are guaranteed to see and hear a lot of beautiful birds. Getting AroundThere is a bus station a few minutes walk from our house and lots of free on street parking if you plan to have a car. The proximity (3 min.) walk to a small shopping centre and to the train station (5 stops to Central station) makes it a very convenient place to stay. We love our home and surrounding. Everybody is surprised at our beautiful lush environment at the back . You,d never guess from the street. Local Irish pub just 5 minutes walk up the road. Getting Around Soooo easy and convenient. Train is best option to airport and city centre. Several Bus options also nearby. Limited parking on the street. Other Things to NoteWe supply you with tea, coffee making facilities & a fruit platter. Use of your own fridge & microwave downstairs . Although we do not have air con in the room, it is the coolest room in the house in summer and yes, you guessed it, the warmest in winter. Pedestal fan and heater available if need be.

Buranda train station is also only 10 mins away. There is a popular street 3 mins away with coffee shop, restaurant, bar, AUDI food shop, massage, post office etc.

The house is on a fantastic park that runs for miles. It's a great place for nature lovers. The park has excellent off-road bike paths, a basketball hoop and free group fitness sessions are held just across the road several times per week. Norman Creek, which flows into the Brisbane River is very close by. You are welcome to borrow my kayak for a paddle :) Getting AroundThe house is within a short walk of many cafes, restaurants, bars, supermarkets and specialty shops. The public transport is excellent and it’s an easy place to live without a car. Buranda bus and train station is just around the corner. All universities are just a short bus ride.           The SpaceA modernised 70s apartment with the original retro feel maintained, this is the perfect space for a family on holiday or a small group wanting a base in a trendy location. The apartment has gorgeous solid parquetry floors throughout, with fresh, quirky and colourful furnishings. The entire space is renovated and includes a full kitchen with dishwasher and excellent appliances and a gorgeous bathroom featuring an open shower with rain and rail shower heads, claw foot bath and double basins. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with pillow top mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets along with ample storage. The second smaller bedroom can have a king single and a single bed or if you only need one bed, I can pack away the single bed to leave more space. Beds have quality feather or wool doonas. There are two balconies, a large one perfect for socialising or reading a book, and a small balcony which makes a perfect spot to have a drink while watching the sunset. There is ample free street parking and, if needed for longer stays, a washing machine is available. Guest AccessPrivate gardens and outdoor seating and dining areas are accessible to guests and perfect for early evening dining. Towels, linen and kitchen essentials are provided. Interaction with GuestsI can be involved as much or as little as you like. Generally, depending on arrival time, I will do a 'hands off' check in where I won't be there. If requested I can collect guests before showing them around the apartment. I can provide extensive suggestions to the local precinct, Brisbane and the wider South East Queensland area. I can also babysit for an additional fee if required. The NeighborhoodThe Greenslopes, Stones Corner and Coorparoo area is truly booming in Brisbane right now. Only a 5 minute walk away, Stones Corner features cafes, bars, several excellent casual dining options and an Aldi. The PA hospital is a few minute drive or 20 minute walk away. An excellent sourdough artisan bakery is again a short 5 minute walk away serving divine Merlo coffee, excellent bread, pies and sweet treats. It is co-located with a great family butcher and a gourmet providore fruit and veg store. Those seeking to self cater will find four different Coles and Woolworths stores and an excellent IGA within a 15-20 minute walk or a short few minute drive. A 24-hour convenience store is literally a few hundred metres away. The apartment is 4 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD and the cultural attractions of South Bank and West End. Carindale and Garden City Westfield shopping centres are also a short drives or bus trip away. Those seeking fitness will find several running and cycling tracks nearby and a public swimming pool just at the end of the intersecting street. Guests with dogs may be interested to know there is a dog park a 15 minute walk or a short drive away. If there is a particular amenity you a seeking, please contact me and I can advise if it is nearby. Getting AroundThere is a huge amount of public transport near the apartment. To start, there is a bus 10 metres from the front gate. However, more regular and faster buses as available at the busway which is a 7-10 minute walk away. This is my recommendation for guests using public transport. South Bank is less than 10 minutes away from the busway, and the CBD only a couple of minutes longer. I can provide guests with detailed public transport information including suggested routes to take. Trains are a slightly longer 15-20 minute walk away. Most points of interest in Brisbane are easily accessible by public transport. Other Things to NoteThere is no air-conditioner as the apartment has excellent cross ventilation which cools the space. The room is bright, so if you like sleeping in, an eye mask is available. I am not home very often, the house is large, so the house will be yours. Wa are also very close to Greenslopes Hospital (800m), PA and Logan hospitals. There are nice bars and eating places at Stones Corner, and in surrounding streets. With Uber Eats, you can easily have great meals delivered. Getting AroundThe 174, 175 or Express 180 is 100m from your doorstop. Plus we have a shopping centre that has everything you need 50m away, including the best fruit & veg, post office, chemist, bakery, clothes, butcher and Coles. Plus sushi! We are 800m from The Greenslopes Private Hospital (10 minute walk or there is a bus). We are a short bus ride to the PA Hospital on Ipswich Road, and The Mater Hospital is a 10 minute express bus ride on the 180. Other Things to NoteWe have cats. They are friendly.
