The SpaceThe house is only four years old, so all is literally new. You'll enjoy your room and literally the whole floor, with a kitchenette, toilet, bathroom and a great deck surrounded by a beautiful garden. Guests are welcome to cook their own meals in the kitchenette. In general, we enjoy meeting new people, but we'll let our guests decide what and when. It all depends on the situation. The neighborhood Riverside Ridge is a relatively new neighbourhood. The neighbourhood borders with JCU university and is a couple of kilometres from major other amenities and shopping centres (Stockland, Meyer, Coles, and Target). There are two Woollies, one just across the bridge, less then 1 km away and another one at JCU university, about 1,5 km away. Main Road Access Guests and travellers can access the neighbourhood directly from the ring road, so you're only a few minutes drive to nearly everywhere. A drive to the CBD will take 15 minutes on the ring road. A drive from the airport will take 10 to 15 minutes. A taxi from the airport cost on average 30 dollars. Bicycles Guests are welcome to use our bicycles (one for ladies and another for men) during their stay. Helmets and locks are also included. Our garden We enjoy sharing our garden with guests. Guests are welcome to get fresh herbs like parsley, basil and rosemary from the garden. Wildlife We planted many natives in the garden to attract wildlife and the results are stunning. Being close to the outdoors, you’ll be viewing large flocks of cockatoos in the morning, and gigantic colonies of fruit bats flying westward to their feeding grounds. At the same time, you shouldn't be surprised to encounter kangaroos and wallabies roaming the neighborhood early morning and at dusk. RECYCLING Recycling is a way of life for us. We recycle absolutely everything. All food leftovers are recycled for compost using Bokashi fermentation and worm farm methods, which in turn fertilize our garden. We supply guests with a special collection container and they too participate in the process. Walking trails Tonwsville Mountain Bike Trails Reserve is just minutes away from us. The reserve features 30 km of trails meandering the hills surrounding our neighborhood. It’s a joy to walk and the views are breathtaking. NOTE: We feature two rooms on Airbnb. The NeighborhoodRiverside Ridge is a relatively new neighbourhood -- about five years old at the most. Because of its elevation, breathtaking views - especially sunsets – and gentle breezes, it has fast become very popular with joggers, fitness fans, and nature lovers alike. Shopping There are two woollies nearby: one across the bridge (about 1 km) and the second at JCU University (about 1,8 km). Getting AroundMany of our guests choose to stay with us because of the relative proximity to JCU University and Townsville Hospital. We offer two bicycles (one for ladies and another for men) to commute back and forth to both amenities. It takes around 7 to 10 minutes to get to both hospital and uni (downhill and easy) and around 15 minutes to get back (uphill and requires more effort, but feasible). Public transport The neighborhood is services once an hour (202 to Stockland and 210 to Willows Shopping Center). The travel fee in both direction is 2.80 dollars. Own car 5 minutes to hospital and uni 7 minutes to Stockland shopping center 15 minutes to Townsville CBD 20 minutes to the strand Other Things to NoteWe feature two rooms on airbnb. The SpaceHilltop views of the city, ocean and Magnetic Island. Bush surrounds with local wildlife visiting regularly. 15 mins from the city. A nice swimming pool and large relaxing deck. I am a well travelled easy going fun lady and a reasonably decent cook, need tips? Your linen & towels are supplied, you are welcome to use the kitchen and other areas of my home, of course the fridge & washing machine etc. There is a country Pub (The Stuart) at the bottom of my hill, they serve good hearty meals and cold beverages, also a bottle shop with a good selection. Interaction with GuestsI am usually at home to enjoy my guests company and possibly share a meal, if not I will leave some yummy things in the fridge for you.

The SpaceWe have to offer 1 spacious Guest bedroom available that is fully furnished with security screens & Key Locking windows, sharing with a lovely christian family of 3 in a brand new built fully self contained modern 4 bedroom energy efficient home. The guest bedroom has 2 single beds with a special back support Mattress on 1 bed, sliding door robes, ceiling fan, split system air conditioner & desk & chair, ideal for a holiday maker, backpacker or traveler or Uni Student. There is also a second single bed available, should a second person wish to stay. Our newly built 4 bedroom energy efficient home is in a brand new estate that is very quiet and peaceful area, includes A/C & Ceiling fans throughout the home. Very Clean & Tiled throughout apart from each bedroom is carpeted. You will have your own bathroom facilities, shared laundry and self contained shared kitchen facilities with the family. We are only interested in non smokers, non drug users and if you are a light drinker that is fine. There is also a 5 Burner BBQ available for your use. You will have shared use of the Kitchen facilities with your host family in which you cook your own supplied meals and clean up the kitchen after your own use. Although we'll also provide basic breakfast supplies ie weet bix, milk, sugar, coffee, tea & seasonal fruit etc that will see you through your first morning of your stay. The guest is required to keep their bedroom clean and tidy and take good care of it. There is also a new suspension bike & helmet with bike lock available for your responsible use. Our new home is situated only a 5 minutes walk away to public transport (Sunbus) to Willows, Stockland shopping centres, City/Ferry/Greyhound bus terminal, Hospital, JCU University and nearby shops are only a 10 min walk away or 5 minutes bike ride away, we also have a lovely peaceful park across the road nearby. We are only a nice 1km walk away from the Ross Dam. The SpaceThe room is a great size for a couple. Has separate shower and toilet. Easy to use microwave, tea and coffee facilities and fridge. If staying for a long period we are more then happy to supply you with fresh towels and change the sheets. We are conveniently located on Bowen Road, Q Express Townsville is the ideal location to discover all the city has to offer. Situated 10 minutes from the airport, Q Express is perfect for business or leisure stays with its close proximity to major sporting facilities, hospitals, shopping centres and the Townsville CBD. The SpaceTownsville is a tropical city with more sunny days than any other town on the Queensland coast. Our apartment is in a very secure location next to a park which is great place to walk and look at the plants and birds. The deck has a view of the park and is just the place to relax and soak up the atmosphere. You don't have to eat out every night, the Kitchen has all you need to make a great meal. The apartment is in a block of only 3 old style cottages almost like three small houses but joined together. Hence there is a level of privacy beyond what one would normally expect. The apartment has two bedrooms both with queen size beds. They are separated by a bathroom with shower toilet etc. Hence the the unit is suitable and very comfortable for up to four people. While we understand how people feel about their pets and we personally like pets we do not allow pets at all on the premises. Smoking is not tolerated in the buildings but guests are free to stand out in the garden to enjoy their cigarette and the outdoors. Should you require additional space check out GARDEN VIEW which is also at this location. Note: Each unit is self contained and you rent the entire unit and it is not shared with others. Guest AccessThe unit is fully self contained so access to other areas is not necessary. Each of the 3 units have there own garden space. Reasonable access to the internet is available by arrangement with the owners and . Emails etc are not a problem but downloading of films is considered unacceptable as is playing of on line computer games. We have a good relationship with some of the local traders like the butcher so we can recommend where to get good quality ingredients for meals. Should our guest require food to be in the apartment on their arrival we can arrange this for the cost of the products from the suppliers. This is particularly useful for people staying for a week or more who need food for the first day or so. Laundry facilities are within the unit and all linen towels etc are supplied. Interaction with GuestsWe have done a lot of traveling during our lives and we understand that different people have different needs. Hence our philosophy is that the level of interaction will be determined by both the guest and ourselves. We totally understand the need for privacy while at the same time we understand that the guest are in a new location and need information on where things are in the town - where to go and what to do plus what parts of the town are safe at night etc. Having a beer or a glass of wine with our guest has been know to happen from time to time but it is totally up to our guests. We are very close to a the Mater Private Hospital and some of our guests come because they have relatives who are in the hospital and we respect their need for privacy.

Getting AroundLocated 2 blocks from one of Townsville main transport routes with regular bus services. 10-15 min drive to the University, Hospital, City and the beach, and close to many other Townsville attractions. On site parking is available. Other Things to NoteThe adjoining kichenette is fitted with a bar fridge, microwave, small stove with 2 hotplates, toaster, jug, cultlery, cups, glasses and plates. A starter continental breakfast basket with coffee, tea, juice, milk, cereal, bread, and assorted spreads are provided on the first day. Own arrangements afterwards for multi-day stays. Our location makes it very easy to get to the many Townsville Sporting and Cultural Events throughout the year.

The SpaceWe are situated in a beautiful part of Douglas right on the river. We offer a private queen bedroom in the front part of our home. In the adjoining space, you will have access to a small guest living area with TV and study nook and private toilet and bathroom facilities. Fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities available. We can accommodate a child or additional person in the 2nd bedroom if needed and price can be negotiated. Relaxation in mind..... our property backs on to Ross River with direct access to walking paths which lead to shops, restaurants, parks and lagoons or simply take a relaxing stroll in the shade of the trees. For the more active..... we have 2 bikes which you can borrow if you enjoy cycling and you can cycle for hours along the paths. We are only 5 minutes walk away from the local shops where you'll find a supermarket, tavern and great coffee !! We are located in a quiet neighbourhood, the bus stop is 5 mins walk away, which takes you to the Townsville General Hospital, James Cook University or CBD. Guest AccessYou will have your own bedroom & private bathroom facilities. In the shared space, you will have access to a study nook and small lounge area. There is also a small deck off your bedroom for you to relax and enjoy. We provide a small fridge for drinks/snacks and a microwave for you to use if required. We are happy to help with pick-ups if necessary and any local information you need assistance with. We always like our privacy when we are travelling and will try to give you yours. The NeighborhoodThe area is very tranquil with lots of bird life and wallaby's that visit. Its lovely to walk along the river and unwind. You can walk to the cinema and other major shops and restaurants in 30-40 mins via the access bridge and walking paths. We are very close to the hospital and university. Getting AroundWe have a 3 car driveway, so there is a car space available for off-road parking. Their is a taxi service available to the area and the bus stop is only 5 min walk away which provides access to all areas of Townsville. The Ferry Terminal to Magnetic Island is about a 40min bus ride away and would cost approx. $4 per person. Other Things to NoteKitchen use: We do not promote the use of our kitchen and prefer guests to make their own arrangements for meals where possible, however may accommodate occasional cooking if required.

The SpaceOur house if located near the Townsville Hospital and James Cook University. It is spacious and fully air-conditioned, also boasts two living areas. It sleeps 8 people in existing bedding we can easily add 2 more beds if required. Our king size beds can be split into 2 singles if they are required. The NeighborhoodRiverside Ridge, Douglas is one of Townsville's newest neighborhoods. It is situated 1.5 km north of James Cook University and Townsville Hospital. Built on a hill, the neighborhood provides breathtaking views of the Ross River Valley, Townsville CBD, Magnetic Island and Hervey Range. Better still, due to its' elevation, the neighborhood enjoys constant cool breezes. For the fitness minded guest, there are numerous treks up the hill and paths for pedestrians and cyclists along Ross River running for many kilometres on both sides of the river. There's a small shopping center with a Woolies only 10 minutes away on foot. Getting AroundPublic transport run hourly to and from the neighborhood to the hospital/Uni and Stockland shopping mall. We offer two bicycles for guests to commute to and from Uni and TSV Hospital if required. Other Things to NoteWe own a dog (poodle/shitzu) called Teebo. The SpaceYour private room is clean and cosy, air-conditioned and fully furnished with a very comfortable ensemble bed, and 2 sets of drawers. The built-in cupboard also has drawers, shelving and hanging space for all your clothing. You have access to your own private toilet, and bathroom, with both a shower and separate bath. You are more than welcome to use the bath, however we ask that you remain environmentally friendly, due to the drought conditions in Australia, and the water restrictions in place in Townsville. We prefer check-in after 4pm, and check-out before 8am, unless otherwise arranged, due to our work commitments. Often we are able to be flexible with this, just ask and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. The NeighborhoodOur 4 Bedroom house is in a quiet cul-de-sac, just 2 kilometres along the Riverwalk to the Riverway Precinct in Townsville. Within walking distance from the front door is a Cinema, a range of cuisines on offer at Cannon Park, the local dining precinct, 2 public swimming pools, 2 Shopping Centres and a multitude of shops. Just over 2.5 kilometres in the other direction is the 1300Smiles Stadium, the home of the 2015 NRL Champions, the North Queensland Cowboys. Everything is walking distance, but if you are travelling by car, we have parking space available and we're only a couple of kilometres from the highway, so its very easy to get to, and the closest bus stop is only a few hundred metres away. James Cook University, the Laverack Barracks and the General Hospital are only 5-10 minutes away by car, or a 20-30 minute bike ride. Getting AroundEverything is walking distance, but if you are travelling by car, we have parking space available either on the curb, or in the driveway (dependant on where our cars are parked) and we're only a couple of kilometres from the highway, so its very easy to get to, and the closest bus stop is only a few hundred metres away. Other Things to NoteWe do have one very lovable and gentle dog, a collie-cross, who will love to have more people in the house. She spends most time indoors with us. She is very friendly, and lovable. If you are uncomfortable with dogs, please let us know.

The SpaceClose to the city and all activities, the unit is located on the lower floor of a traditional Queenslander. The unit is newly built in September 2015 with 2 bedrooms, a large lounge, large fully equipped kitchen, study, bathroom and separate toilet. Access to the garden and pool areas is directly via french doors at the back of the unit. Bi-Fold windows also open up to the garden from the fully equipped kitchen.     This 3 bedroom holiday house is centrally located with only a 2 minute walk from the grocery shop, and four blocks from the Main Street. It is fully self contained with air conditioning throughout. It comfortably sleeps 8, but if you have a larger group extra mattresses can be provided for a small fee. For the infants there is a high chair provided and a cot is also available upon request. There is a deck for entertaining off the kitchen and a BBQ area is located in the back yard. A starter pack providing basic items: tea bags, coffee, milk, sugar, assorted breakfast cereals, salt, pepper, soap, bubble bath, hand-wash, tissues, toilet paper, dish washing liquid, dishcloths and laundry liquid is left for guests. The large yard is fully fenced with off the street parking available for a number of vehicles & trailers.

    The SpaceGarden View price is $138 per night with a minimum of three nights, The rate can vary for special seasons. Garden View Apartment has: Three bedrooms: Bed 1; one Queen size bed with on-suite, ( normal size room). Bed 2; one Queen size bed (large room). Bed 3; two single beds (large room). Living space is large over 7x5 meters plus kitchen and internet area plus a good size deck. Six people would not feel crowded in this amount of space. In fact many people are surprised at the amount of space even when you tell them in advance. The kitchen is well equipped for most styles of cooking. There is access to the internet but we do ask that guests don't download films or play on line games. Our attitude is use but don't abuse. There are washing facilities and a private cloths line. Guest AccessGarden View is a unit in a complex of three units. Garden View (up to 6 people), Hideaway (up to 4 people) and Raintree Cottage (not listed at this point in time). The whole property is a hidden gem in Townsville and each of the apartments has it own atmosphere. Each of the units shares a common drive way but each has its own area with some lawn and a garden. Each of the units has a deck with an aspect. And both Garden View and Hideaway can accommodate 2 cars under cover. There is access to Anderson Botanical Gardens from the property. The park is good for walking, running or swimming. In the middle is a pond where children can feed the ducks. If you are interested in plants Anderson Gardens are one of the largest of its type in any city in Australia and boasts a number of collections that are not found in other parks. Interaction with GuestsBoth Kaye and I have traveled and we are interested in meeting people so good chats and cups of coffee or tea are definable in order. We have even been known to share a glass of wine with our Guests. However we respect the privacy of others and our policy is to leave the level of social interaction entirely up to the Guests. The NeighborhoodTownsville is a tropical city with more sunny days than any other town on the Queensland coast. Our apartment is in a very secure location next to a park which is great place to walk and look at the plants and birds. The deck has a view of one of the gardens in the property and is just the place to relax and soak up the atmosphere. You don't have to eat out every night; the Kitchen has all you need to make a great meal. The apartment is in a block of only 3 old style cottages almost like three small houses but joined together. Hence there is a level of privacy beyond what one would normally expect. Our neighbors understand our business and if we are not around they can be of assistance to Guests if necessary. A number of eating places and coffee shops plus a shopping center and a pub within walking distance. There is a private hospital within walking distance. Getting AroundWhile the majority of our Guests either have a car or hire a car we have had some Guests who used only public transport. In fact by the end of their stay they knew more about the bus routes and time table than we did. They used a weekly ticket which made transport very economical. Having said that we personally believe the public transport system is not as developed as our capital cities and a car is very helpful when moving around the town. With a car you can do day trips to other towns like Historic Charters Towers. By car the beach is about 10 min if you catch all the lights as is the city. So the location is very central.

    Guest Access- The kitchen! It's filled with a fantastic variety of cookware and utensils required for possibly, any recipe made during your stay. Of course, all those basic things are there too. - Lounge room. We've got a great, big couch, and a very nice, also big TV. It often goes without much interest shown in it, so you'll often find the entire room to yourself. - The laundry is inside the garage, and there is a washing line outside as well as one throughout the garage. - Two bathrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs), not restricted or allocated, and the one you use should be the one that you felt comfortable using. - Back deck (fully covered) and the pool. Extra towels needed will be no problem at all. The NeighborhoodOur street is very quiet, with our house facing the river and no neighbours across the road to obstruct the view! There is a pathway running along the river, which can be a really nice, relaxing stroll or decent exercise.
