The SpaceNestled just one street back from the best beach on the coast, this light-filled guesthouse is the most relaxing space on our property. It was designed by award-winning architect, Gabriel Poole, as a separate and private addition to his original beach house, Bluepoles. The guesthouse is located at the back of the property, adjacent to the pole house, and backing onto the bush of Seaview Creek Reserve. You fall asleep to the sound of waves. You wake up to the sound of birdlife. And you find it by walking across the most delightful wooden bridge to your own sanctuary. Outside, there’s a large timber deck to lounge on, read a book, and unwind. Inside, in the living room, you’ll relax on modern designer furniture and a day bed. There’s a basic kitchenette with small fridge, microwave oven, toaster, electric skillets, rice cooker, kettle and blender. Cutlery, plates and glassware are supplied, as are all linens. The bedroom has large windows and sliding doors to let the breezes in, and a comfy queen size bed. The bathroom has a sunken spa bath and shower to wash the salt off.
The guesthouse comfortably sleeps 2 people and can accommodate 2 more by utilising the single daybed and sofa bed in the living area- the perfect arrangement if kids are in tow. Sleeping in the day bed nook is the best snooze spot in the whole house. The total useable space at your disposal is 100 square meters, so there is plenty of room to unwind.
Additionally, washer and dryer facilities are available to long term guests (7 days or more). You're also welcome to use our wifi as much as you want, but it's not always reliable due to the area. Mobile phone access can also be a bit patchy. Guest AccessOne regular car space is available on the property. We cannot accommodate campers, caravans, or pick-ups, but there is also parking available on the street in front of the house. Guests wander down the driveway and across the meandering wooden bridge to the guesthouse. You do not have to enter the main building at all, so access is direct and private. Come and go as you please. Interaction with GuestsIf we're in town, we’ll show you in and give you a tour. We love giving insights into the secrets of the area and can help you plan your holiday here. Where the best beaches to surf (or relax) are, where to eat, things to see in the surrounding area and, importantly, where to shop.
On site, there’ll be the owners- a husband and wife team, trying to keep up with a 4 year old daughter- a dog, and possibly, a few chickens. The NeighborhoodNorth Sunshine is the prime spot in Sunshine Beach. Away from the concentration of apartments, and traffic of the village, it is absent of hustle and bustle. You’ll feel surrounded by nature.
2 beach entrances are only two strolling minutes away. The dog beach and the protected North Headland of Sunshine beach is just right there. And just 80 metres up our street is the entrance to the Noosa National Park, with secluded Alexandria Bay (clothing optional) and the famous surf points of Noosa a short walk away.
If you’re an outdoors type, there are plenty of trails to run and beaches to swim at, from wild open stretches to sheltered bays and rockpools.
Sunshine Beach Village is a one minute drive, where you can find great coffee and restaurants, as well as a convenience shop.
And the famous Hastings Street at Noosa Heads is a five minute drive away, where you’ll find world class restaurants and shopping.
Eumundi Markets, Yandina Ginger Factory and a whole host of other activities, family related or not, are very nearby. Ask us and we're more than happy to point you there. Getting AroundLocal buses are close-by, and they connect with the bus transit centre at Noosa Junction. Both Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Airports are in easy reach by door-to-door shuttle buses. We can provide those contacts if you require. Other Things to NoteThis is a relaxed, peaceful space for a getaway. Being at the North end of Sunshine Beach, we're away from all the apartments and units of the village, so it is a quiet area. It’s not a party house, sorry!
Do keep in mind whilst we are at the beach, we are in a bush setting really, with the reserve behind the guesthouse. That means you'll see turkeys, goannas, cockatoos, kookaburras, and yes, the odd insect.
You're also welcome to use our wifi as much as you want, but it's not always reliable due to the area. We sometimes feel we're in the dark ages here, but that means the phone rings less and we're not chained to our phones! No pets, unless they are ok with being outside pets. Please check it with us first.
