The SpaceLocated on Noosa's North Shore, across the Noosa River by car ferry, this four-bedroom beach house has been designed by a leading Australian architect. All 4 bedrooms are spacious and set apart so you can have your own private space away from noise in the kitchen/and or living areas. The house sleeps a maximum of eight people, with 3 rooms having Queen Beds and the 4th, the bunk room, incorporating two King singles. Three of the four rooms are ensuited, with the fourth bathroom servicing the bunk room and main living areas. The entertaining areas are well set out with outdoor balcony fully enclosed with screening from any insects. There is also an outdoor shower at the front door for you to wash off from the beach before entering the house. Even though the house itself is located in a complex, it is still tucked away from other houses, so you feel like you have your own space. There are plenty of board games, dvd's, cd's, magazines, books and an ipod there for your personal use - also in the kitchen there are condiments etc in the pantry left there for your use also. The house is one of the Noosa Beach Road Holdiay Homes, located off Beach Road. T In addition to this magnificent Beach/Bush home there is also a lesiure precinct which incorporates a large tv screen, lap pool and spa, pool table, kid's room with Xbox, tennis court, bbqs as well as a food and beverage preparation area. It is only a five minute drive to the infamous Hastings St, Noosa Heads. Two minute drive down the road is the four-wheel-drive access to Teewah Beach and the famous Noosa "Frying Pan". Guest AccessYou and your guests are able to use all of the amenities down at the leisure centre. Please feel free to use the plastic glasses and plates in the kitchenette to take into the pool area. No glass including stubbies with holders are not permitted in the pool area. Interaction with GuestsAs we live in Brisbane we rarely get to meet our guests personally but we certainly love to communicate with them and encourage questions so all bases are covered. We always ring after the first night to ensure everything is going well and we are certainly available on mobile 24/7. The NeighborhoodThere are 49 houses in the estate - it is hard to believe this fact as they are set so far apart from each other in a serene bushlike environment. Even though it is located across the ferry from Tewantin, Noosa and surrounds are still easily accessible. Getting AroundNoosa North Shore Car Ferries operate two car ferries 365 days a year from the river end of Moorindil Street, Tewantin and depart approximately every ten minutes. The ferry is open 5:30am - 10:20pm Sunday - Thursday, and 5:30am - 12:20am Friday & Saturday. Ferry Prices - Standard car 2wd and 4wd - $7 each way Pedestrians and bikes - $1 return Other Things to NoteAs there is a lot of bushland around the area we do tend to get midgees so I suggest you pack some Aeroguard or Bushman's spray for late afternoon.

The community is bounded by a National Park, the Noosa River, Lake Cootharaba, and access to the famous Everglades, Great Cooloola Walk and the unpopulated North Shore beach. Take a morning walk along the beach to Noosa's famous "Frying Pan", bring your fishing lines as you have a choice of beach or river fishing. Vehicular beach access to Teewah, Red Canyon, Double Island Point and Rainbow Beach is close by. It seems like an island getaway once you cross the river on the Tewantin Ferry. Yet it's only a short drive back to the restaurants and shops of both Noosaville or Noosa's famous Hastings Street and Main Beach. It's a $7 ferry ride each way on the ferry and $1 return walk-on or on a bike. We recommend you bring all your own food supplies. In Tewantin there is a Woolworth's supermarket plus a butcher and a bakery, plus many other stores and coffee shops. BWS & Liquorland have stores in Tewantin, or there is a Dan Murphy's in Noosaville. There is a general store on the “island", near the pub, which carries most essentials should you forget anything. They are all at "island" prices. Nearest fuel is available at the roundabout before you head down to the ferry. There is a 4WD car wash also near the pub, with spa and car vacuum. It is $10-17 for an underbody wash, extra for the suds and pressure wash, extra for the vacuum. We have a small pressure washer at the house if requested. The first beach access is 2 km away - a short drive with parking adjacent the beach. If you have a 4WD you can drop onto the beach - its a very easy get on and get off most year round. Watch it after storms have been through. 4WD access to the beach will require a day permit - available on line, we have the permits stickers in the house for you to apply to your car. It's approx $11 on line for a day pass. Or you can buy the pass before you come across on the ferry. If you forget - you can walk on the ferry and walk to the Ranger station, its not far. Eating - near by is the Noosa North Shore pub which offers a free courtesy bus from the gate, but it is an easy walk away. It has limited opening times outside of peak holiday season (like any good island). Good pub food and wine or beer selection. It's great for the kids with undercover jumping “air pillow" and other games. OR: Take the ferry back to Tewantin or Noosaville. Gympie Terrace has great restaurants of all types to choose from. Highly recommend the Thai. Tewantin wharf area has a great Italian, fish and chips, etc. Short Walks - around the complex there are some bush tracks into the national park, and we have an aerial photo to show you these at the house. There are walks along the surf beach between 1st & 3rd “cutting", or longer walks to the Noosa River mouth entrance (and Frying Pan") from the 1st cutting (approx 5km return), or extreme walks to Rainbow Beach along the Cooloola Way (a five day expedition). Boating and fishing – bring your boat and head up river and across two lakes up to the Noosa Everglades. Or take the Everglades charter from Noosaville or Tewantin – check their brochure. Launch your boat the river next to the ferry. Note it is an extra fee for the boat & trailer on the ferry - check with the Noosa North Shore Ferries website ((website hidden)) There are popular fishing spots north and south of the launch site. Fish the relatively unpopulated surf beach gutters all the way north to Double Island Point as well. 4WD expeditions - to Double Island Point and/or Rainbow Beach township which can be done in a day providing you pick the tides correctly (low tide at midday is best). Allow one hour to drive the 48 km to Double Island Point, plus an extra half hour to Rainbow Beach. Visit the Carlo sand blow from the township and the famous rainbow coloured sands along the way. You can also take the road back - it heads into Gympie, then you head back south along the Bruce Highway. Take the various inland easy 4WD tracks heading to Rainbow Beach via Boreen Point (great pub here) and then through the National Park to Harry's Hut (and beyond). Canoe/Kayak the Noosa River or Lake Corooiba (there is a walkway behind the North Shore pub which takes you down to the shallow and tidal lake). Or you can drive to Elanda Point on Lake Cootharaba to hire canoes and kayaks and launch here for a great paddle through the national park waterways and everglades. This is on our to do list. Horse Riding – by arrangement there is horse riding available from near the pub. They do offer beach riding. Check their brochure. Do nothing – lounge around the pool or just hang out at our treehouse and listen and gaze at the marvellous sculptural scribbly gums and blood woods. Spot the black cockatoos feeding on the banksia nuts, or the lazing goanna high in the trees just outside our deck. The house sleeps 8+ people and is literally in the trees overlooking the National Park. The northeasterly aspect allow for beautiful sea breezes all year round. There are ceiling fans in all rooms including the Alfresco BBQ area, and reverse cycle air-conditioning for added comfort on those hot summer nights, or cold winter evenings in all living areas and bedrooms. Our Tree House has 2 living spaces, one on the upper floor that adjoins the fully equipped kitchen which includes an ice maker fridge, dishwasher and gas cooking appliances, a dining room with seating for 10 people, TV and DVD player, Sony sound bar with 3.5mm pin for your own music, as well as a fully insect screened Alfresco BBQ & outdoor area. We also provide sandalwood for any pesky ones. The lower floor living space is ideal for sitting back and relaxing, watching TV, playing board games, reading a book, or just doing nothing! The deck adjoining this room extends out to the natural bush setting, and is not screened. There is a TV and multimedia system in the upstairs living area and an additional TV downstairs. There are 3 built-in bed rooms which can be set up for two families, an extended family, or three couples: Bedroom 1 on the upper floor has a QB with ensuite.
