The SpaceWelcome! We are 400 metres to the West End Bus and Ferry Terminal. We are walking distance to the best coffee shops, bars and restaurants in Brisbane. Perfect base - 9mins to CBD. You're invited to treat the place like home! Welcome to our little hideaway in West End Brisbane; we are a professional couple who lead very busy lives and we just adore living here. Our home is a cosy, leafy, self-contained apartment near the river. The living area opens out to your own private courtyard and large decking area. The location is a quiet side street, close to the Brisbane River, all public transport and only 700 metres to the West End Bus and Ferry Terminal. A leafy, relaxing river park is 2O0 metres away (with a great 10 k running path along the river). We are walking distance to the bustling, vibrant and eclectic area of West End – which boasts the best coffee shops, bars and most fantastic restaurants possibly in the whole of Australia. You're welcome to treat the place like home(this is what air bnb is all about after-all ) borrow books and cook in the kitchen while you're here, chill in the hammock, surf the internet or just watch foxtel- do anything you like, really. We are happy to take the guests lead here. We are happy to help in any way possible. West End is a vibrant, multicultural inner city suburb. The eclectic community is reflected in the wide range of cafes, restaurants, bars and quirky small businesses. West End is a popular destination for Brisbane residents, for its famous coffee shops, funky shopping, cruise-ability and nightlife including Latin dancing! Despite being in the middle of everything it's very quiet, with a garden, lots of trees, and a shaded hangout area out in our leafy courtyard. You are most welcome to use the kitchen, but if you don't feel like it there are Vietnamese, Indonesian, Tibetan, Italian and Thai, Greek, Turkish and Organic restaurants all minutes from the house. It's a very social and community-focussed neighbourhood, and if you stay for a while you'll get a chance to experience it firsthand. I recommend going to the famous West End markets on Saturday to get a feel for the place. Toowong which is approximately 1 km walk (15 minutes) has the best transport system in Brisbane, buses, train, ferry and Red hop on hop off bus. Free parking at the bottom of driveway, a few steps from your patio. Free parking in the street. Other Things to NoteBookings of a week or more include 2 complimentary Go Cards. Each card has $10 value of travel on Buses, trains or City Cat (Ferry on the Brisbane River). In the common spaces area I have an air bed; had requests from families with 3 children. A cot and high chair is available. Whilst I welcome families and the apartment is well suited to children with the fenced courtyard and fenced pool, I have found that some guests expect small children to stay for free. I have a very reasonable tariff and do not consider it unreasonable to charge an additional $10 irrespective of age as additional water and electricity is used for bathing and increased loads of washing, perhaps more than an adult. Parts of the pool area are under refurbishment, therefore we like to show our guests around the pool before being used. Children, even teenagers must be accompanied by adult when using the pool. PLEASE READ THE HOUSE RULES. There are many parks and outdoor areas, including Mount Cootha. Picnic back packs and esky, cold packs in the apartment for guests use. Smoking is permitted outside.
