The SpaceThe sleep-out is a very casual, bright, fun, open space at the back of the house, near the bathroom and laundry. Rather than walls and doors, a tropical style, room divider allows natural light and breeze to flow from the backyard, in and through this area and the entire house. See photos of Floor Plan for layout of the house, the room and the divider. If you are fussy about privacy, please do not book this room. It is for open-minded, creative and free-spirited people to enjoy.
The house is an Old Queenslander (miner's cottage) relocated from Charters Towers in the late 1800s after the Gold Rush.
Built for the tropics, it has high ceilings, timber floors, natural light and open ventilation. Escape the morning sun on the front verandah, then head to the back outdoor living area in the afternoon for a shady spot with a cool breeze.
Embracing a “Troppo Shack" feel, it's laid back and casual with a positive, fun vibe. The décor echoes raw authenticity with an eclectic mix of Jen's earthy treasures wrapped in a daring splash of colour and creativity.
Shared living spaces are organised and functional. There's plenty of storage in the kitchen with everything you need to prepare a meal. The bathroom is clean and de-cluttered with a storage basket for each guest. Towels stay hygenic and dry in your private room.
To ensure a peaceful, non-intrusive atmosphere, earphones are utilised with electronic devices for television, movies and listening to music. It's not a busy or noisy house.
It's back to basics with un-stuffocation and simplicity where your soul can breathe and you can hear yourself think. Guest AccessPark in the back yard. Collect your key.
