Getting AroundPublic Transport in Hervey Bay is not fantastic however we have bikes you can use and everything is wishing cycling distance.

The SpaceOur house is fully tiled including the bedroom. We are offering a private bedroom with queen bed (sleeps 2). Room has queen bed, side tables with lamps, build in robes, ceiling fan, linen and towels, a/c in lounge room only. You will have a sole use of our main bathroom which is not connected to your room but not sharing with anybody else. We will be sharing indoor or outdoor Kitchen, Lounge room (we have got 2) outdoor dining area, pool, gazebo and laundry. There is a small fridge in our outdoor kitchen for your use. Also an extra single bedroom for $30 per night (available only if booked as a bed for 3rd person) by special request. We are happy to pick you up and drop off from airport or bus station when pre organized and our time schedule permitted for a fee. Plenty of parking in our yard for your boat or trailer or caravan and your motorbike can safely sleep in our shed accompanied by our bikes. Fully fenced yard so we are able to accommodate a no digging dog if pre organized. Prefer outside dog(under cover) but non shedding, small, quiet breed is welcome inside on the floor (no cats please) . Guest Access1 free wash load available per your stay only. No dryer as we have an outdoor washing line and can provide an indoor drying rack if raining. Free unlimited WIFI and use of our indoor or outdoor kitchen provided you clean up after yourself. Large undercover patio with dining table and shaded pool with 2 single beds gazebo. Also available 2 free bikes and beach towels. Breakfast if required can be personalized to your taste and can be arranged on request for $5pp. Any herbs in our garden and basics spices from my pantry are free to use in your cooking. Interaction with GuestsYou can stay in our house as absolutely private person/couple and we respect that, or we can chat for hours about yours and ours travel over a glass or two of wine. I can book your tour to Fraser Island or Whale watching in advance or on your arrival. If you share our passion for boats and sailing you may get the chance to be shown around our beautiful piece of paradise on board of our sailing catamaran (our time schedule and weather permitted). I am available through WhatsUp or Viber or SMS or call. The NeighborhoodWe live in a lovely, quiet neighborhood , surrounded by birds and our veggie garden. Getting AroundClosest shop is 1.5km, beach 1.2km. There is a public transport in front of our place but we are also happy to take you to the shopping Centre if we are heading this way. There are 2 free bikes for your use as well. We can pick you up from bus stop or our airport for total of $15 including drop off. If you are staying for 4nights or longer this pick up is complimentary. Other Things to NoteWe are opening our home to you please treat it with respect. The SpaceAnchorage unit is fully self contained and very private. There are 3 air-conditioners for year round comfort. Open plan living area opens to covered timber deck. The kitchen is huge with big fridge and freezer, dishwasher, island bench and full size pantry. The main bedroom has large wardrobe and comfortable queen size bed. The second bedroom has 2 king single beds. Sofa bed in main living area plus plenty of pillows and extra blankets. Guest AccessAnchorage unit is all yours during your stay. Private rear deck with dining area & gas BBQ. (Smoking ok outside on rear deck). One undercover parking spot. ( small or medium size car will fit). Lots of extras in the kitchen. Books, magazines and DVDs for use during your stay. Games, soft toys and beach equipment for the kids. Sorry, No visitor parking. Interaction with GuestsI usually meet my guests on arrival at my unit. Occasionally my guests want to be picked up from Hervey Bay Airport. I'm happy to meet my guests at the airport if I am available. There is lots to do in Hervey Bay and I can give guests details of activities and tours. The NeighborhoodI love the convenience of living so close to the esplanade and beach but still retaining privacy. Cafes, restaurants and small shops are so close. There is also a walking/cycle path along the esplanade. Getting AroundThe local regular bus service has a bus stop on the Esplanade within metres of Anchorage unit. Greyhound bus stop is within 200 metres. You can arrange for Local RSL & Boat Club to catch their free bus for a night out.

The SpaceOur home is situated on the amazing Fraser Island. We are located inside the dingo fence so it is safe for children. Perfect for 2 families with parents in a bedroom each and the kids in the bunk room. We are also a 5 minute walk to the beach and Eurong Resort with its shop, bakery/pizza, fuel, restaurant and hotel. We also have a grassed area where kids can play. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the whole home including the outdoor pergola area. Interaction with GuestsOccasionally we may be on the island the same time as our guests, however we have our own separate accommodation. If we are there, we usually have drinks at 5.00pm and are happy for our guests to join us and have a chat about their day. We also offer advice if needed for first time visitors to the island. We are good judges of people's needs and will give privacy to those guests. Guests are welcome to accompany Tony when he goes fishing and get any tips from him as he has been fishing Fraser Island for over 20 years. The NeighborhoodFraser Island is a world heritage listed island with breathtaking lakes and the famous 75 mile beach on the eastern side. Fraser has great fishing for both the experienced and not so experienced anglers. Visit the famous Maheno Wreck and swim in Eli Creek & Champagne Pools. Spend the day at stunning Lake McKenzie or Lake BIrrabeen. So many sights to see, you will have to come more than once. Getting AroundAccess to Fraser Island is via vehicular barge from either River Heads or Inskip Point. A 4wd is required to access Fraser Island and you also require a vehicle permit. Other Things to NoteOur home runs on solar power with a back up generator. We also have our own water tank. Guests are required to bring their own linen (sheets) and towels. The SpaceI will be there to meet guests and if there are any questions I will always be available to help. If I am away there will be a neighbour to assist. The house is opposite a cycle and pedestrian footpath which can take you from one end of the bay to the other following the beach all the way. You are in walking distance to many coffee shops and restaurants and the hub of Torquay. At the other end more coffee shops and the Pepper resort and the icon Hervey Bay Pier where there is plenty of fishing or just a beautiful walk the 800mts to the end overlooking Fraser Island and many more small islands. Hervey Bay is known for its whale watching over the winter months to October and there is plenty of whale watching trips to choose from. Also we are the gateway to the beautiful Fraser Island where there is also plenty of day trips to the island. Buses for all these trips can be arranged to pick you up just over the road on the Esplanade. If you like I can book these tours for you. This is a great holiday destination for either relaxing on the beach or participating in many of the surrounds that we have to offer. Guest AccessThere are 2 kayaks available for guests for free. You can just wheel these across the road and go kayaking for hours. You can fish from these or kayak down to 2 of our coffee shops on the beach. There is also 2 bikes available men's bike and ladies. Helmets provided. There is no charge for these. We have bicycle paths all around the beachfront 16kl of tracks. Easy-goin Fun-luvin Canadian dude seeks like-minded to share in Mountain biking, walking, 4x4, flying (small aircraft lands on beach!), boating or kayaking adventures at Fraser Island, Utopia (mountain rock pools- see photos), Great Sandy Straits (whale watching, boating, fishing) and surrounds. I've worked as a Ranger-guide on Fraser for many years with Kingfisher with extensive experience mountain biking there (you can't bike everywhere there as the sand tracks are commonly too soft to ride as they are continuously torn up by 4x4s). We are in no rush in our fun-seeking and the ride is fantastic! Far better than on the 4x4 coaches I used to drive! I love the island and the surrounding area and would love to share it with you. Come enjoy it as mother nature intended with environmentally sensitive biking, hiking, fishing, or boating tours to suit. Or if ya don't have much time, I can be convinced into piling into one of my 4x4 vans (seats 8). I have 8 extra bikes (can get more) and support vans to carry camping gear. It is quite expensive to take a vehicle over: $80 permits + $160 on barge (includes 4 people, ~$20/extra person) + fuel, or we can pack light or make the most of eating at resorts whilst there. I'm pretty flexible and willing to tailor a tour to suit! Air BnB members are offered discounts for tours. I do ask for a security/damage deposit that is refunded when you leave.         Apurla Island Retreat is situated in Eurong Second Valley, a quiet residential area approximately 200meters south of Eurong Resort. It is a short 5 minute walk to the beach, shops, hotel, restaurant and bakery. Our house sleeps a maximum of 8 people. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has 1 Queen bed, Bedroom 2 has 1 Queen bed and Bedroom 3 has 2 sets of double bunks. Perfect setup for 2 families. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove/oven and full-size refrigerator and also a chest freezer if needed. Dining room seats 8 people. Laundry facilities are available. Linen is available for hire if required. There is a deck with table and chairs and a gas bbq as well as a pergola area and a wood bbq. We also have a fire pit which is great to sit around and at the end of a day's fishing or sightseeing. We have 24hr solar power with a back up generator. We also have our own water supply. Our house is situated within the Eurong enclosure and so is safe for children Fraser Island is World Heritage listed and can only be accessed by 4wd vehicles. 75 mile beach on the eastern side of the island is great for fishing (catch whiting, dart, flathead, tailor, jewfish). Tailor season runs from June to November and is a great time to visit if you are a keen fisherman. Explore the beautiful lakes on the island. Spend the day swimming at beautiful Lake McKenzie. Another great area to swim and explore is Eli Creek. The formation of the creek changes all the time. The top end of the island has Indian Head and Champagne Pools (another amazing swimming spot). Explore Central Station with its magnificent rainforest. Have a picnic lunch at one of the many tables and then take one of the signed walks, that vary in duration so your are sure to find one suitable for you. The wildlife on Fraser Island is varied. Fraser is renowned for its pure dingos. You will also see sea eagles and goannas to name a few. Come visit, you wont regret seeing one of the most beautiful places on earth.

However the Boat Club, Beach House and RSL offer free pick up and drop services. I also provide free toast & condiments, plus tea, coffee, milk etc. You are welcome to make local phone calls. Getting AroundYou can get free pick up and drop off to The Beach House Hotel, the RSL & the Boat Club. Undercover verandah with outdoor setting. All windows are fitted with security screen and fly mesh. WIFI. Plenty of parking right in front of cabin with good access even for trucks or trailers. Please note: if you are booking for 2 people and need 2 beds you need to book an additional person - 3 in total other ways no linen is supplied for the sofa bed. Children older than 2 years old need to be booked as additional guest. Infant cot (for up to 2 years old) including linen available if pre organised for $10 payable on arrival. Number of people staying should not exceed 3 not even an infant. 2 children are ok with 1 adult but 1 child only with 2 staying adults please and thank you. During winter you can crank up the slow combustion heater...the only one on the island! Not that you will need it for many days. Fraser Island has the perfect climate. The NeighborhoodThere is so much to do at the Resort and on Fraser Island itself. At the resort you can enjoy the 3 swimming pools, bars and restaurants. There are many activities for guests, such as tennis and archery. Or just go for a walk up the hills behind the resort or along the beach. For those with a 4WD, Kingfisher is the gateway to some amazing adventures on the island. You can hire a 4WD on the island, or do a day trip through the resort. Don't miss Lake Mackenzie for a swim. Getting AroundWhen your booking has been accepted you will need to make contact with the Resort and arrange barge transfers from River Heads to the Resort. Take a look at the Kingfisher Bay Resort website for the barge timetable. Note that you don't really need a vehicle at the Resort. The house is quite close to the wharf, so you can walk, or use the shuttle bus. For a group of 4 or more it is more economic to take your car across on the barge. You can also take food and drink for your stay. But to explore the island, you will need a 4WD, or good walking shoes and a water bottle! Other Things to NoteThis is the best of both at Kingfisher Resort. A really nice house, close to the Resort. But if you want to get away from it all, you can enjoy the privacy of Sunset House. The house is has a fully equiped kitchen and a BBQ, so you can bring food and drinks and enjoy eating out on the large deck. Or you can eat at one of the 3 restaurants.
