The SpaceLocated in beautiful Burleigh Waters and just 5 minutes from the beach, this is the perfect place to base yourself at while you enjoy everything the area has to offer. Your accommodation is located in a nice area and accessible to shops and public transport. I currently have two rooms available in my 3 bedroom house. The rooms are both available on a long term, or short term basis and best suits surfers, travellers, or university students. Location:- Burleigh Waters is located close to the beach and major shopping areas. It is also close to Burleigh Heads National Park which is defiantly well worth a visit. Burleigh Hill overlooks the ocean and is a popular spot for weddings and whale watching. Burleigh Waters is a popular destination for all, and is especially popular among families and surfers alike. The SpaceThe Space - Coral Room This is a huge, spacious, private bedroom. It has a queen-sized bed and a single bed. Maximum persons allowed in this room is 2 adults and 1 child. If you have more than two adults in your booking, you may consider booking the other two rooms(The Ochre Room and the Gold Room) advertised too. Guests share a general bathroom. Further to this room we also have two other spacious, modern bedrooms(one with private ensuite) with queen bed and study (URL HIDDEN) bedroom has a single bed also. We are ex-South Africans who lived in New Zealand for 7 years before settling in Australia. This is our 10th year here on the Gold Coast. Both parents are teachers and we own two Kip McGrath tuition franchises. Home is close to public transport, schools, Bond uni, Robina Shopping Centre and the Varsity Lakes train station and (which is walking distance from our home). Further to this room we also have two other spacious, modern bedrooms with queen bed and study (URL HIDDEN) bedroom has a single bed also. Both parents and children are well-spoken and educated and can provide stimulating intellectual conversations if desired. Excellent knowledge of local area, especially in the field of education, economics and tourism. Sports loving family and keen spectators of English soccer, rugby, tennis and cricket. Have a table-tennis table at home and willing opponents! Enjoy meeting people from different cultures and countries. Guest AccessSeparate kitchenette for guests with dining facilities, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle etc. Separate lounge upstairs for guests with 50 inch tv. Free, internet access. Because our home is on an island development, there are beautiful water walkways around our neighbourhood. Easy access to all tourist attractions, shopping precincts and eating places on the Gold Coast and a five minute drive to beach. Getting AroundThe Varsity Lakes train station is walking distance from our home. There is a shuttle that leaves every hour from the Gold Coast airport. Also, there is a five minute walk to various bus-stops. Restaurants, take-aways and convenience stores are within walking distance. Bond University is also walking distance. The SpaceAs for the studio itself, your access is via a winding common stair to the second level of a mixed use building that houses a local architectural practice and two other residential units. The main room of the open-plan studio is 5m x 6.5m, with a small balcony and is equipped with a queen bed and a sitting area that contains two chairs. The ensuite has a shower (no bath) and enters off of this main room, while the kitchenette and meals area is located at the entry in an adjunct space that adds another 2.2m x 2.6m to the Studio. Please refer to floor plan image. The Studio has year-round thermal comfort by way of a reverse cycle air conditioner at your control and has cross ventilation, with aluminium plantation style shutters to moderate the light to your liking. The kitchenette is equipped with an under-bench bar refrigerator (no freezer), a convection microwave (no cook top), kettle and single-drawer dishwasher, along with a fold out ironing table. There are twin wardrobes, one with hanging space and the other with soft shelving, along with a flat screen TV. The unit has a video intercom to the front door and you are able to open the door from the comfort of your room. Guest AccessGuests will park in the common garage and will access the room via a common winding stair. On site Parking has a maximum headroom of 2020mm. Vehicles above this height cannot be accommodated on site and will need to park on street. The NeighborhoodThe Lodge on Lake is ideally positioned whether you are looking for a short stay whilst you attend the University or if you need a place to hole up whilst sourcing more permanent housing around the university campus and the surrounding village. Alternatively, it is a great place for your family and friends to stay during their visits, with the residential halls of Bond University virtually in the back yard. On one side you have Bond University, and on the other, the village of Varsity Lakes. Within a few hundred meters you will find a medical centre, a dentist, a tavern, a post office, a bank, a travel agent, convenience stores, grocers, hair salons, beauty therapists, dry cleaners as well as several coffee shops, cafes and fine-dining restaurants. Getting AroundOn site car parking is provided for one car. There is a bus stop at your doorstep, with a direct route to beachside suburbs, two local train stations, connecting Varsity Lakes to Brisbane and the airport beyond. The SpaceRumah Lakeside is a lovely 3 bedroom unit. Upstairs : The Master Bedroom has one queen sized bed, a tv, a walk in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom. Room 2 has a queen sized bed. Room 3 has 2 single beds. Rooms 2&3 share one large main bathroom with shower and bathtub and separate toilet. All linen and towels are in the linen cabinet upstairs. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Master room has an air-conditioner installed. Heaters are provided in winter. Downstairs : There is a toilet downstairs. L-sheaped couch to cuddle and watchtv with loved ones! A 42 inch flat screen tv. Air-conditioned living / dining area. Standing fans available as well. A dining table that seats 10. A full and complete working kitchen. Plenty of extra amenities in the garage (body boards, picnic mat, fishing rods, bbq, charcoal and more). The garage has also been fully carpeted and modified into a "dormitory" like bedroom for teenagers. There are 2 double decker bunk beds there, to sleep 4 teenagers. From the garage, a sliding door opens out to the small garden full of lovely plants and flowers, plus edibles (strawberries, eggplant, chili, capsicums, grapes, herbs and more) Note: fruit and some veg are seasonal, we cannot promise what will be there in the garden The following are provided with the house The kitchen: fridge, freezer, stove, oven, kettle, rice-cooker, blender, toaster, slow-cooker, dishes, pots, pans, cutlery and much much more. A dishwasher (along with dishwashing tablets) Basic herbs, salt and pepper for cooking. Halal meat and sausages can be purchased for guests upon request. We generally leave guests to their own devices unless our help is needed. Varsity Lakes is absolutely beautiful. Wake up early and put on your walking shoes... there is a different walk every day! Walk along the wide expanse of Lake Orr, where the Australian Olympic rowing team train. Walk around Azzura Island, and watch the birds and feed the ducks at the swamp area. Cross the bridge over Lake Orr and head towards Marketsquare for breakfast at one of the lovely cafes. Take a 5 minute drive to Burleigh Beach (one of the top 5 surfing beaches in the world) and watch the sun rise. And if you feel like buying some groceries for breakfast, Aldi supermarket is just across the road (1 min walk away). Bus stop is right in front of the house. (Regensberg Cl). Frequent buses to nearby town centre. Best mode of transport for a family is always to rent and drive. We have some contacts for cheap and reliable car rentals on the Coast. Car park right in front of house plus extra space to park at visitors car park. Front of house faces lake, let us know if you need to borrow some fishing rods to fish. The power points next to the bed have USB ports, the smart TV (Netflix and Youtube) swings out for viewing from the sofa or bed. There is a Bluetooth Speaker System for streaming music and fast wireless Internet. The bathroom is equipped with a modern rain shower head and hand held shower and for convenience the toilet is fitted with a hand held bidet. Guest AccessYou get a key to the studio and an undercover parking space in front of the studio. For your convenience we provide you with a key to access our Bosch washing machine with free washing powder. Interaction with GuestsThis is a self-contained studio. We are happy to provide you with all the information and help you require. But if you wish privacy, you are in the perfect place. If you want to depart later in the day we are happy to oblige depending there is not new guest arriving in the afternoon. The NeighborhoodThis is a quiet secure residential neighbourhood. Treetops Shopping Centre is 800 meters walking distance, there is a Coles supermarket, Post Office, Medical Centre, McDonald's and other shops. For dinning we recommend James Street Burleigh Heads. Getting AroundWe are 5.5kms from Robina Shopping Mall, 3.5kms from Burleigh Heads Beach, 3.5kms from Varsity Lakes Train Station and 5kms from Burleigh Heads township. 200 meters from our house is a bus stop for Bus 757 which takes you to Robina Shopping Mall, Varsity Lakes Train Station or to Burleigh Heads town and beach. There is a bus on Christine Ave that takes you to Pacific Fair Shopping Mall, Jupiter Casino and Southport. Movieworld, Dreamworld, Wet'n'Wild and WhiteWater World are about 30kms drive via Pacific Motorway and Seaworld in North Southport is about 20kms way. Gold Coast Airport is 19kms away. It costs between $40 to $50 by Taxi. There is also a shuttle bus and public bus but you have to change busses. The NeighborhoodALDI, Coffee Shop, Fitness gym are available just outside the complex. Water activities such as stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing, are doable at the lake just outside the complex. Your accommodation is located in a nice area and accessible to shops and public transport. I currently have two rooms available in my three bedroom house. The rooms are both available on a long term or short term basis and best suits surfers, travellers, or university students. Location:- Burleigh Waters is located close to the beach and major shopping areas. It is also close to Burleigh Heads National Park which is defiantly well worth a visit. Burleigh Hill overlooks the ocean and is a popular spot for weddings and whale watching. Burleigh is a popular destination for all, and is especially popular among families and surfers alike.     The villa is 36sqm and fully self-contained. Burleigh Waters is a peaceful suburb located between Coolangatta and Southport and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The beach and shops are only 5 minutes by car and Movie World & Wet and Wild are up the free way 20 minutes away in Oxenford. The studio is equipped with cook-top, microwave, fridge, pots, cutleries, pizza maker, rice cooker, etc. For entertainment there is a smart TV and Bluetooth Speakers. In the main house you have access to the laundry washing machine with free washing powder. Burleigh Waters is a quiet suburb that is 4 kms inland from Miami and Burleigh Heads beaches. Treetops shopping Centre is a 15 minutes walk away. Robina shopping Centre and Varsity Lakes Train Station are 4 kms distance. Our neighbours are friendly and will always stop to help in anyway. Local buses take you to all the places you desire to go. If you have a car, you can park right in front of the studio entrance, under cover. In our villa you will have your best sleep in our Queen bed (medium-firm) and wake up to the birds singing in the morning. Help yourself to a complementary coffee or tea and relax on the sofa or sit outside on the garden chairs.. Sofa has a fold out double bed for a third person.

As such even if we are home we may be working so not always available for social time then but we are always available if you need some assistance! We can offer you directions and tips for the gold Coast. We have a friendly little 3 year old son who keeps us busy!:) The NeighborhoodWe have a bus stop at the end of the street and a little section of shops two minutes walk from our house, with a Cafe, take away food shops, 24hr night hour shop, a Chinese and an Indian restaurant, a Tavern and a chemist and a newsagent. It is a 5 minute drive to the lovely Burleigh Beach. 15-20 minutes walk to Bond University, 5-10 mins on a bike. 20 minute drive to the Gold Coast Airport (bus will take longer). Getting AroundThere is a bus stop at the end of our street which you can take connecting buses from. 20-25 minute walk to the beach. The Gold Coasts transport isn't the most frequent but it will definitely get you around. There are alot of Bike tracks around too. Other Things to NoteAs we have a 3 year old, our home is not a party house. We are pretty busy people, often eating dinner earlish. My work shifts are sometimes in the evenings too and we both work from home offices. Only people who we have offered our room to, please in the house; i.e, no entertaining in our home. Also as stated all bedrooms are up stairs and although our little toddler sleeps well most nights, we have to be honest that he does wake up on the occasional night and cries until we comfort him. He doesn't continuously cry but goes back to sleep but if he does wake, you may hear him briefly from your room. He also rises early from 6:30-8 am but we go down stairs as soon as he wakes. In the living space downstairs there is air-conditioning however upstairs in all the rooms there is no air-conditioning just ceiling fans.

Including Sat & Sun. Varsity Lakes Train Station is 10 minute by bus, if required, I can pick up/drop off guests from Varsity Train Station. Route 754, goes to Burleigh, Bond University, and connects to the newly opened Gold Coast Light Rail Line at Broadbeach, this train journey includes Surfers Paradise, Southport, Gold Coast Hospital, Griffith University.         The SpaceI currently share the appartment with one other housemate who has a great sense of humour and loves to cook. The room you will be staying in will comfortably fit 2 adults.                       As for the unit itself, it is located over the common garage. Your access is via a winding common stair to the second level of a mixed use building that houses a local architectural practice and two other residential units. You access the unit via the common outdoor living room. The lounge room of the unit is equipped with a small dining table, desk, TV cabinet and a sofa bed (suitable for 1 guest). The private bathroom has a shower (no bath) and is entered off the private hall. The kitchenette is located between the bedroom and the lounge room. Please refer to the floor plan image. Laundry facilities are provided in a common access stair cupboard that is shared with other occupants of the Lodge. The unit has year-round thermal comfort by way of a reverse cycle air conditioner at your control. The rooms have plenty of light, with large panels of glass block for privacy and awning windows. The kitchenette is equipped with an under-bench bar refrigerator, a convection microwave (no cook top), kettle and dishwasher, along with a fold out ironing table. The bedroom includes a queen size bed, make up table and wardrobe. The unit has a video intercom to the main entry door and you are able to open it from the comfort of your room. Guests staying at The Lodge on Lake have access to the large communal covered outdoor living room between 9:00AM and 9:00PM. The room includes a library, puzzles and games. It also has an electric BBQ for guests to use.

For the older kids we have activities Fuzz Ball,Kayak,fishing,board games,cards, DVD library and cable TV. For the adults you deserve a rest so just fix yourself a cold drink and relax by the pool and if you really feel energetic grab a fishing rod and cast a line and catch some bream for dinner down at your own sandy beach and then have a BBQ al fresco! Too easy!
