The SpaceFeatures: -Air-conditioning/heating in each bedroom -Own private ensuite - shower, sink, toilet -Queen Bed -small 12" TV in the room -Full kitchen (to share with other guests) -multiple living areas -filtered tap water and ice dispenser -TV/DVD - dvds in tv room shared with other guests -free wifi -organic body wash (no shampoo/conditioner) -hairdryer -laundry -coffee machine -complimentary starter package of coffee pods, tea, sugar, milk, chocolates -umbrellas My design philosophy is classic with a quirky twist and every piece must tell a story. Artwork and pieces are sourced from overseas design stores to being restored after dragging them off the curb side throw outs. Design plays a big part in creating a friendly, relaxing environment conducive to 'just hanging out'. We pride ourselves on our extremely high standard of cleanliness and the high quality of our linen (1500 thread count pure cotton sheets and organic shower/hair wash) We are so fortunate to have hosted so many wonderful people who love the space as much as we do and consider it their Brisbane home away from home. Our housekeeper cleans the common areas daily and rooms weekly (towels changed bi-weekly) for those staying longer than a week. Indigo Suite is situated at the back of the house and almost the entire back wall is filled with glass louvre windows which allows the breeze and light to flood in. However if a dark, quiet cocoon is your preference than the heavy, dark curtains can be simply drawn. The suite which has it's own key access includes a desk and private en suite bathroom. It is one of four in a newly renovated guest house. There are multiple common areas, designed for either maximum relaxation or socialising. Common areas include a long verandah (52sqm) located behind a wall of glass louvred windows with views across the city, a small study/library, sitting room with large TV and lounge, and a bright and airy dining room adjoining the kitchen area. The gourmet kitchen is modern, extremely clean and fully equipped with a coffee machine, double-door fridge with ice maker and cold filtered water, gas cook top, fruit and vegetable juicer. The communal laundry has a washing machine, ironing facilities and toilet. Guest AccessAll common areas are shared between guests. This space has been specifically designed for guests and you won't find any personal belongings or clutter of the owners. Interaction with GuestsIt is self check in so often we do not get to meet our lovely guests. The guest house is located on the top floor of a two-storey Queenslander-style duplex. We live very busy lives so we can be working or staying at our other home. You can contact us by telephone if you have any queries. We drop by weekly to say hello and check on things. We have the downstairs apartment although we are not always living there. Our friendly housekeeper is there Monday to Friday 9:30-12:30 to clean and tidy and to answer any of your questions. The NeighborhoodWest End is one of Brisbane's hippest inner-city suburbs within walking distance to all the major art galleries, South Bank precinct, farmers' markets, the stunning river walk and the CBD. An Aldi supermarket is located at the end of the street. Brisbane's best Vietnamese, Greek, Thai, Indian, Organic restaurants are also a short stroll away. Some of Brisbane's most stylish new bars are a short 10-minute walk up the road in the village centre. You can walk to QUT gardens point, catch a city glider ferry to UQ and cycle almost anywhere with city bikes available for hire at the end of the street. Some of our neighbours are fourth generation West Enders, while others migrated here in the 50s and this is what makes our area special. It is still filled with real, colourful folk but with all the advantages of city living on our doorstep. The suburb is also the original home of the indigenous Jagera clan. Getting AroundSo many public transport options: city glider is an express bus that takes you across town, numerous other buses take you to the Cultural Centre interchange where you can grab a bus almost anywhere, two train stations 20 minutes walk and City Cat ferry a 10 minute walk away. Why not hire one of the city bicycles which you can collect at the end of our street. Other Things to NoteWatch this space as hoping to install air-condition this summer. There is only a few weeks of the year where temperatures are unbearably hot. It is both an environmental and affordability issue that has prevented us from installing air conditioners. For 90 percent of the year, they are not required. We also for similar reasons do not have a clothes dryer. There are industrial driers available at the end of the street should they be required. We have two bikes available for free use and can be booked for half day blocks. Please call or text me for further details. If you would like to escape Brisbane we have a studio cottage nestled in the rainforest of stunning Tamborine Mountain which is a one hour drive from Brisbane in the Gold Coast hinterland. If you are interested in amazing views, spectacular rainforest walks we can provide you with the perfect hideaway.

It's bright and white, high ceilinged and airy with tropical gardens. There are plenty of different areas to escape for your privacy or areas to sit and have a chat. You can be as inclusive or reclusive as you like. During the week we both work long hours so you would only have to share the house with two loveable white puppies now all the kids are scattered over the world. On the weekends we are around to share a BBQ and some great Aussie wines or just some advice on the greatest places to go in Brisvegas and tours up and down the coast. Our names are Paula and Rob and we have travelled extensively in Europe Asia and the Carribean. It's a place to chill out and relax, quiet and secluded but so close to the city and all the action. The SpaceMy partner Erich and I live in a charming Queenslander home in the vibrant West End. Our home is in a quiet neighbourhood, less than 1 minute walk away from some of the best restaurants in Brisbane, and just a few leisurely steps to a bus stop that takes you straight to the Cultural Centre and the Queen Street shopping centre in the city (13-15 minutes bus ride), or to the other riverside (West End Ferry Terminal, 9 minutes bus ride). We're loving it, and we'd love to share our West End experience with you! _ Getting Around All the hip cafés, bars and restaurants of West End are just a short walk away - it's so nice to chill out locally after a long day. The Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art, the State Library and the Queensland Museums are only 9 minutes away by bicycle. There are several CityCycle spots (public bike hire) nearby as well, and the Veloway (a very useful bicycle path to get around Brisbane) is only 12 minutes ride away. On Saturdays, the Davies Park is alive with farmers selling their produce. A 12-minute walk from here, the Davies Park Markets a terrific place to buy better (and most of the times cheaper) fruit and veg, and to enjoy a wide variety of breakfasts/brunches to choose from, while listening to some good music (some excellent musicians do perform there!). The celebrated Mick's Nuts, just around the corner, attracts customers from all over Brisbane and interstate - their wasabi-coated macadamia is a must-try! 14 minutes walk from here (or 5 minutes bike ride) is the riverside, where you can catch the CityCat (Brisbane's infamous riverboats public transport), taking you to the city in 18 minutes - a great way to enjoy the tranquil Brisbane river! It's also only 1 stop away from the St Lucia campus, University of Queensland (which, Erich and I agree, is the most beautiful campus in Australia - their 50m outdoor heated swimming pool is a gem). South Bank, the heart of Brisbane's lifestyle, is only 20 minutes walk away. Take pleasure in dining at the riverside, dip in at the fun, free and interactive water-play park Aquativity, or simply walk along the lively Clem Jones Promenade with an ice cream in your hand. _ Our space Our house is not big, but it always feels spacious as we keep it neat and clean. The main bedroom is our bedroom and your bedroom is just next to it - a bit smaller but not less spacious. There is an electric piano in your bedroom - I can give you a discounted rate for lessons in case you want to learn to play piano while you're here :-). The bathroom is shared and includes a laundry area which you're welcome to use as well. The well-ventilated kitchen comes with gas burners and electric oven, a medium-sized fridge, microwave, toaster, blender ... basically everything that makes you feel at home. We often work from home and thus the mega-tables in the living room. Although some of our work requires audio, we keep it very quiet (headphones), and we don't watch TV. Walking around here and into the city at night is very pleasant and relaxing. Erich and I walk regularly, so we can give you walking tour ideas if you're up for it. We hope you'll enjoy your stay with us.

The SpaceThe house combines the charm of a traditional 1930s "Queenslander" house with modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, five outdoor areas and a backyard. Sound travels in these old Queenslanders, so from your bedroom downstairs, you will be able to hear us walking around upstairs, and you will be able to hear us in the kitchen very early in the mornings. Guest AccessYou have the choice of three rooms downstairs; the best room has a queen bed and plenty of storage, the second room has a double bed and the third room is the large rumpus room, which has a single bed. In the rumpus room there are French doors, which you can use as your entry, as well as a two-seater lounge. There are also two foam mattresses. Please join us upstairs to use our beautiful kitchen and our dining room, spare toilet, air-conditioned loungeroom and decks. Please also use the laundry. There is a tumble dryer in the garage and plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to hang your things. Interaction with GuestsWe spend most of our time upstairs, mostly coming downstairs to use the laundry and to get into the garage. If you let us know your arrival time we'll make sure to be home. The kitchen and dining areas are big enough that we can each prepare our meals without getting in each others' way too much. The NeighborhoodWest End has a quirky, local characteristic; a fusion of cultures and mix of alternative and vintage. The shops, restaurants and lively lifestyle reflect this inner-city suburb’s eclectic charm. Our place is between West End's main street and the "CityCat" ferry terminal. At the top of our street is a small strip of great restaurants. There is also a convenience store and a supermarket within five minutes' walk. Ten minutes away is Davies Park, where you can visit the Saturday morning market, home to designers, grocers, artisans and food stalls. Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre is just 20 minutes away by bus (but CityCycle is faster). Despite all this, our small street is very quiet and feels suburban. Getting AroundDuring the day, there are buses every ten minutes to the city, "Cultural Centre" (museums, theatres and galleries) and Fortitude Valley, home to Chinatown and the party precinct. Our place is also very handy for The University of Queensland's main St Lucia campus, which you can usually reach within 30 minutes by bus or "CityCat" ferry. At the bottom of our street there is a public "CityCycle" bike station. To subscribe to this service, check out their website. If you have a car, you can park it in our secure garage and there's room for more cars in our driveway. Get here from the airport within 45 minutes using a train and a bus. We recommend you buy a "GoCard" at the airport train station at that you put about $30 on it for your first few days. At "South Brisbane" station, unless you are on a very tight budget, it's best to catch a taxi, as it's only slightly more than a bus. Otherwise, walk through the T-intersection to the "Cultural Centre" bus stop, where you can take the "City Glider", 192 or 199. If you're on the City Glider, get off at stop 10. For the 199, it's stop 13 and for the 192, it's stop 12. If you need directions from there, give us a call or ask a local. Other Things to NoteOur pest control is up to date, but we do sometimes get insects (ants and cockroaches) inside. Unfortunately this is unavoidable in our sub-tropical climate.

My place is a 2BD apartment which I live in with my partner. I am renting out the spare bedroom while we are away travelling for half of the year. The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of West End and should have everything you need for a basic stay. Boundary St is only 1-2min walk from the doorstep where you can find bars, cafes and restaurants of pretty much any cuisine you can think of. Guest AccessAlthough I barely use it myself I do have a dishwasher which you are welcome to use (soap provided). I have a washing machine and dryer for your use also (laundry liquid provided). And amenities such as toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, toothpaste, etc should always be in sufficient supply for your use. Car Park: Please let me know if you will have a car that will need parking. I cannot guarantee a secure car park under the complex but it may be a possibility if we check with the Apartment manager closer to the date. Worst case I have a Resident Parking Permit that allows you to park for free in the surrounding streets. If you have any other queries please contact me and I will be happy to assist the best I can. Interaction with GuestsThe reason my apartment is available is because I am away, so my interaction is therefore limited to primarily email and mainly just to answer any questions you may have regarding your stay. My apartment manager lives in the complex and can take care of mostly anything you may need help with, but otherwise you can expect much privacy in regards to interaction. The NeighborhoodWest End is known for being home to countless restaurants/cafes/bars. You name it - burgers/indian/greek/japanese/middle eastern… chances are you will find it in West End. Boundary St is the heart of it all and is only a 1-2min walk from the apartment door. Other nearby landmarks/attractions include: Southbank - 1.5km (riverside restaurants & markets etc including a small man-made beach open to the public for relaxing and swimming) Queen St Mall - 1.8km (city centre shopping district) Convention Centre - 1km QPAC - 1.2km (Theatre, Performing Arts, etc) The Gabba - 2.6km (Sports ground for cricket & AFL matches) Suncorp Stadium - 2.4km (Sports ground for Rugby & Soccer matches) Davies Park Markets - 750m (popular market on Saturdays 6am-1pm) Getting AroundIf you like walking then West End to Southbank to the City Centre are all within a 15-30 min walking distance. There is a bus stop on Vulture St only 1 min walk from door. #199 will take you to city centre where you can transfer to anywhere else. If you like a bike ride there is a CityCycle station on Vulture St also only 1 min walk from door. I believe unlimited rides cost $2 daily as long as you dock the bike within 30 min (and you can dock straight back out again for another 30 min, all day). There are stations all over the city and it is an easy and pleasurable way to see parts of the city with bike paths all along the river from the city, around Kangaroo point and to the opposite side of New Farm. Other Things to Note*PLEASE NOTE - There is NO WI-FI in the apartment. I can provide you with a pre-paid sim card to keep if you wish that you may use for smartphone, etc. which you would need to top-up yourself depending on how much data etc you need. The SpaceMy apartment is spacious, tastefully decorated, cool in summer, warm in winter. The views to the city, mountains and river are spectacular and is the reason I love my place so much. The building is very secure and there's a bus stop right outside! The apartment was built in the 70s which makes for spacious rooms. All of them! The kitchen is original but is immaculate and easy to use. I have decorated it with freshness, style and a little retro to make it a cool place to hang out. It has one Queen size bed and a King single. There's 2 carparks available in a secure car park. Under cover car park Lift Secure entry WiFi I'll make sure I'm here to greet you or get one of my friends to make sure you're settled. The neighborhood! I love my neighborhood. The SpaceFabulous little apartment in a fun part of Brisbane. The apartment (entrance is completely separate from main house) is perfect for short or long trips to Brisbane. West End is the cultural heart of Brisbane with a buzzing social scene. There are bars, art gallery exhibition openings, poetry readings, cafés and restaurants. Hardgrave Road is behind Paris Street and has award-winning Vietnamese restaurants, as well as Thai, Himalayan, Japanese, Greek, organic modern Australian, Turkish, and Malaysian! The GoMA (Gallery of Modern Art), QAG (Qld Art Gallery) and the State Library are a 15 minute walk. The I Max cinema at South Bank and the City are both a 20 minute walk or a simple bus ride away. The Brisbane River is a 5 minute walk away. The Davies Park West End Markets on Saturday morning has loads of live music, ethnic and locally-made treats, food and drinks, fruit and vegetables. Use the kitchenette and stock up the full-size fridge with fresh fruit from the markets. There are several local busses that can take you to either the city or to the central bus interchange where you can get onto any other bus that you need. Both local buses are a 1 min walk away and run at least every 5 minutes in peak times, and every 15 minutes in non-peak times. I can show you where to buy a GO card that you charge and use to hop on and off the Brisbane buses, ferries and trains. What is great about the apartment is that it is in a premier location. And in the heat, especially, it is all about Location, Location, Location. You can have beers and cocktails less than 500 steps away at a cool bar (such as The End on Vulture Street) and simply walk home. Less than one minute walk to a convenience store in case you forget to buy milk or need a bottle of wine at Chalk 'n Cheese bottle shop (one minute walk away) for dinner. All this so close, and yet, a quiet spot to call home. Stroll down Granville Street through Brisbane's oldest estate on your way to Avid Reader bookshop and on your way visit Hanasho Flower Art on Boundary Street. BlackStar coffee on Thomas Street or Sol Bread Cafe on corner of Hardgrave and Vulture Street have great breakfasts/brunch. You can read about the newest cafes in West End on Urban Spoon website. Apartment is also one minute to two doctors surgeries in case you feel unwell. What I love about my apartment is the leafy view and the light. It feels so tucked away in nature but it is also so close to things, literally seconds away! Lovely breezes come through the whole apartment, and make the boiling hot Summer in Brisbane pleasant without air-conditioning! The Queen size bed is fitted with lovely pillows and linen, and is such a good quality mattress. The high ceilings and the glass-stained window in the bedroom are very relaxing and pretty romantic. The apartment's courtyard has a French fancy iron table with two chairs (and a sun umbrella). I made a garden in the courtyard. I'm never in the courtyard when guests are staying. I've also got great neighbours, and overall it is one of the handiest, sweetest streets in West End. I am a happy, hospitable person with excellent communication skills. I will meet you there, explain how everything works and then I am just a phone call or text away. West End in Brisbane we call "Best End" because it has the best of everything, culturally speaking, including beer, food, music, Saturday markets on the river, proximity to city and near all three universities. The 199 bus is literally less than one minute walk away and it comes every five minutes (peak) and every 15 minutes (off-peak) and takes 10 mins into centre of Brisbane city on bus. Or in the other direction, it takes you to the Ferry Terminal at Orleigh Park (one stop to the University of Queensland). I will meet you there, explain how everything works and then I am just a phone call or text away. I live in and own the front house, which is completely separate from the back flat. I rent out this back apartment/granny flat to people visiting Brisbane through Air BnB when I'm in Brisbane. "West End in Brisbane we call "Best End" because it has the best of everything, including the people. The people are the most relaxed in all of Brisbane in West End," - Matt, beer expert at chalk 'n cheese wine, on Hardgrave Road. The SpaceThe top section of this recently rejuvenated worker's cottage is settled in the Greek/Vietnamese and traditional Aboriginal Communities of Brisbane. Famous for quirky cafes and a wide range of excellent restaurants of every style. A favourite haven for students and hippies too. Walking distance from the river walkways and 2.5 kms from the city centre (less to the cultural centre)- yet in the centre of a quiet street that was, thankfully, untouched by recent floods. You will have access to 1 Master bedroom with a double bed and 1 small bedroom with a small double bed. An additional single bed is also available if required. There is a large private bathroom (please note that the shower is over the bath) and an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen with access to a back entertainment deck. Unfortunately our former lush landscaped garden was damaged by building work but is being re-modelled. Parking for one vehicle can be arranged on request. A bus to the city leaves the bottom of the street every 5 minutes peak hour and 10 minutes off-peak and the city bike scheme operates within walking distance too. Guest AccessYou will have access to the top level of the house including the back verandah. You will have access to a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom - both for your exclusive use. The downstairs is private for use by the tenants renting that space - there is no access to the remainder of the house via the internal stairs. Interaction with GuestsI am currently based in Sydney but can be available by phone and will ask a friend or family member to support you if there are any special requests or concerns. If you require more bed linen, towels, toiletries please let us know. The NeighborhoodThere is a particular charm about West End that makes many of our visitors take home We Love West End t-shirts! A unique blend of the old and new. Elderly Greek immigrants with their gardens full of figs, pomegranates and olives, Vietnamese grocers, bakers and restaurants, blends with new vibrant hang outs for the young (or young at heart) being a popular place for students and artists. It is also sacred land for our Aboriginal forebears with the name Kurilpa meaning Water Rat. Getting AroundWe are well placed for city, parks, culture and river - all walking distance but...if it is steamy hot you can hop on the 199 bus at the Vulture Street end of our street. Our end the bus will take you to the West End Ferry and Orleigh Park, outside the West End Primary School it will take you through West End past the Cultural Centre, through the city on Adelaide Street and then Fortitude Valley (China Town) before terminating at New Farm (where you can visit more quirky cafes, the Powerhouse Arts Centre and get the City Cat back from the New Farm ferry stop). You can also hire City Cycles online from Brisbane City Council and pick them up around the corner on Hardgrave Road, Jane Street or Vulture Street. We strongly recommend that you purchase a Go Card either from West End Newsagents on Boundary Street or at the train station - closest one is South Brisbane (opposite Cultural Centre) or South Bank - reached by walking 20 mins away from the river along Vulture Street. Other Things to NoteThe driveways either side of the house are private. They are used by our neighbours and must not be blocked at any time. As we are in the Central Business District parking is strictly monitored on the street for a maximum of 2 hours. Please request, use and return your visitors parking voucher. It is not disposable and is a closely coveted privilege! Please take a photo of it back in the drawer before you leave or you will be charged $100 for a replacement if it disappears. For the benefit of overseas guests please park only on the street side opposite the house and (this is important) facing the same direction as you would be traveling down the street. It is traffic offence to park facing the opposite way which bears a hefty fine. There are 2 small very affectionate dogs who live downstairs from time to time. They are great guard dogs but do let me know if they disturb you too much. There is a large mango tree in the garden. It is great for cooking to make chutney but not to eat raw - you are welcome to pick them but I would suggest you do this in the day or you will be competing with the fruit bats and possums who fight over them at night! The internet is shared with the tenants downstairs so please refrain from turning the power to the internet off when you leave.

The SpaceThe building is an older style 70's built building. Despite its age, the environment is relaxed with the additional mod-cons for contemporary living. All appliances and kitchen accessories are all of a high quality as are the washing machines and dryers. The beds are all beautifully comfortable and the large screen smart 60" TV makes for great movie watching. This of course comes complete with wifi. Additionally you can hook up your computer to a wonderful screen or just simply log on. The couch is comfy, making movie watching particularly good. There's a Bose system sound is awesome. If you have any queries about the place, just ask. The wifi is free of course so you can go nuts with that. Short and long-term stays are both welcomed. Perhaps the best feature about it I think is, you can enjoy the tranquility of the Brisbane river from the lounge and balcony, whilst being a reasonably short walk to ther heart of everything that vibrant West End has become. It’s also only 3 km to heart of the CBD. This river abode is comfy as it is relaxed. The main bedroom overlooks the Brisbane River and is kitted out with a sufer comfy king size bed. It’s an open plan layout with lots of space for just hanging out. You can relax on the balcony or enjoy the tranquils from the lounge. It is ideal for up to four people but perfect for two for longer stays. . Guest AccessAccess to the unit is simple. I write to you on either the night before or on the morning of your arrival. However, should you have any questions about accessing the unit, please feel free to ask me. Interaction with GuestsI'm not often able to meet with you in person on arrival, however I have a key collection and unit access set-up whereby you can arrive at anytime that suits, no matter how late. That being said, I'm always available and contactable at all times should you need anything. So please don't hesitate in contacting me at anytime. Even if it's just to say hi. Hello! I pretty much let you be to do as you will. However, I know area well, so if you want information about the area, don't be shy to ask. The NeighborhoodPersonally, my favourite thing about West End its its live music scene. In recent times it has become the music hub of all things original in Brisbane. There are numerous venues showing live acts regularly, especially on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The area itself is also cultural heart of Brisbane. Nationalists of all types live long and short term. It's bohemian demeanour adds to its feel, making for excellent people watching. The markets are alive and well attracting locals and travellers alike. There are so many different types of restaurants I wouldn't know where to start. But let me say this, it there's good coverage of worldly cuisine in offer. A visit to West End is not complete without dropping into either or both the Davies Park markets (Saturday's) and the Boundary Street markets (Friday and Saturday nights). Go there hungry. 1 km from there is the BCEC (Brisbane Conference and Entertainment Centre), GoMA (Gallery of Modern Art), QAG (Qld Art Gallery), Qld Museum and the State Library. are a 15minute walk towards the river.

The SpaceThe house combines the charm of a traditional 1930s "Queenslander" with modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, five outdoor areas and a backyard. We usually just make our downstairs available (see our other listing in Brisbane's West End "Private bathroom & entry; near city" https://www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/3970821?s=Fn1v). The whole house will be free while we're travelling. Upstairs are two bedrooms; the air-conditioned Master which contains a queen bed and in the smaller nursery there's a single bed. There is some hanging space upstairs and a huge ensuite as well as an additional toilet. Upstairs is also the air-conditioned loungeroom as well as the open-plan kitchen/dining area and two decks. Downstairs are two more bedrooms, a modern bathroom and an oversized rumpus room containing a single day bed. There's room for more single mattresses in here. Downstairs is also the lock-up garage. We will have our mobile phones while travelling, but in case you can't get hold of us we have family you can contact if you need help. The house is accessible via the garage, which can be opened with a secret code, which we'll give you after you book. West End has a quirky, local characteristic; a fusion of cultures and mix of alternative and vintage. The shops, restaurants and lively lifestyle reflect this inner-city suburb’s eclectic charm. Our place is between West End's Main strip and the "CityCat" ferry terminal. During the day, there are buses every ten minutes to the city, "Cultural Centre" (museums, theatres and galleries) and Fortitude Valley, home to Chinatown and the party precinct. At "South Brisbane" station, walk through the T-intersection to the "Cultural Centre" bus stop, where you can take the "City Glider", 192 or 199. If you're on the City Glider, get off at stop 10. For the 199, it's stop 13 and for the 192, it's stop 12. If you need directions from there, give us a call or ask a local. Guest AccessUpstairs are two bedrooms; the air-conditioned Master which contains a queen bed and a cot and in the nearby nursery there's a single bed. Noise travels very clearly between these two bedrooms. There is some hanging space upstairs and a huge ensuite as well as an additional toilet. Upstairs is also the air-conditioned loungeroom as well as the open-plan kitchen/dining area and two decks. There is also a large, padded playpen and plenty of toys, which we'll store in the study unless you request it. There is a sturdy, permanent safety gate at the top of the stairs. Downstairs are two more bedrooms, a modern bathroom and an oversized rumpus room containing a single daybed. There's room for more mattresses in here. We have three single and one queen mattresses. Downstairs is also the lock-up garage. Interaction with GuestsWe will have our mobile phones while travelling, but in case you can't get hold of us we have family you can contact if you need help. Other Things to NoteSound travels very clearly within this old Queenslander, especially between the master bedroom and the nursery. The carpet and paint in these two rooms is worn. This is our family home so you will find our personal items in the drawers and shelves, but we will clear space for you to store your things. Our pest control is up-to-date, but sometimes there are insects inside. Our pest controller advises that this can not be 100% prevented in houses here in the sub-tropics.
