This is a groovy 3 bedroom timber frame home with open plan living area and semi enclosed large outdoor living area (with cafe blind for weather control!). Guest AccessWe have installed free ADSL2 Wi-Fi. You can use up to 2GB of data each day of your stay. Its fast! 19MBPS. The NeighborhoodSo close to the beach you can hear the waves crashing on the shore! Walk about 100m and you can see the ocean. 5 min walk to beach. 5 min walk to The Strand (including the Port Elliot Hotel and Jelly (an organic cafe). Stroll to Boomer Beach, the Granite Headlands and Horseshoe Bay or wander to the shops (or PUB!) on The Strand just 400m (approximately) away. Across the road is Lakala Reserve with a Saturday market, two lakes, a fountain, childrens play equipment and more. Other Things to NoteWe welcome dogs and cats to stay. Your animals are, of course, welcome inside (but only on the furniture if you put your own rug/cover on first). The backyard is fully fence with brand new dog fencing. The rear deck has a new gate on it. The front porch has a little gate on it (we couldnt do a bigger one because of the location of the window which opens out on to the deck). Lakala Reserve is right across the road and is a lovely place for your dogs to play.

    The SpaceApart from the stunning views, if you like listening to the sound of the surf, you will love this place. The ground floor is well laid out with 2 bedrooms at one end (inc Ceiling fans), the large kitchen in the middle and a large lounge/dining room on the other side. The lounge/dining room includes a dining table with 6 chairs on one side while the other side includes 2 lounges (one is a sofa bed) and a large TV. The room also has a split system Air Conditioner for heating and cooling plus a combustion heater. The lounge also gives access to a spacious Deck where you can enjoy a meal, a drink or to simply relax while taking in the views and listening to the sound of the waves. The spacious upstairs family room is great for relaxing and taking in the views but also includes a Dining Table, 3 Sofa's (one is a sofa bed), TV, Table Tennis Table and a Bar plus a split system Air Conditioner for heating and cooling. The back yard has a large fully fenced lawn area plus a BBQ which is under a covered area. Guest AccessGuests have access to the property excluding the Garage at the rear of the property. Interaction with GuestsWe are contactable via mobile or email throughout your stay. The NeighborhoodThe house is very comfortable but being so close to the beach and being able to see and hear the beach is fantastic. Watch the Cockle Train roll past or take a walk / ride your bike along the bike path that runs from the Bluff to Goolwa. Port Elliot is great to explore with a range of quality places to eat and drink plus many small shops to browse. It's a quiet area and the neighbours are very friendly but we do request that you respect their right to privacy. The perfect place for families but still cosy enough for a couples getaway! Getting AroundClose enough to walk to all the beautiful sites in Port Elliot and a stones throw from the bike track to ride along the coast from Victor Harbor to Goolwa Beach and back. Getting AroundWhile everything in the town is walking distance, the Cockle Steam Train runs between Goolwa, Middleton, Pt Elliot and Victor Harbour...the train takes you along the coast and enables you to stop off at each town. Other Things to NoteMinimum of 2 night stay and the rate per night is inclusive of linen. During December and January there is a minimum 4 night stay. A $70 cleaning fee applies and a $150 bond is payable for each stay. Higher rates apply for long weekends and school holidays.

So we may be like ships in the night. The NeighborhoodThe famous Family Hotel is opposite. Lots of cafes and shops all in walking distance. And if you are lucky you may even see some whales migrating over the winter months. Getting AroundThere isn't any regular public transport. The Cockle Train is a tourist train. There is a service from Adelaide to the South Coast. Other Things to NoteThe pool is very cold at this time of the year. So while it looks lovely on the very hearty would go for a dip.

Surrounded by a pistachio orchard and native gardens in a private setting, your stay will be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Universally designed, anyone is welcome to stay at Bundalee Cabins, as access friendly requirements have been followed. They are step free, have open space, bench and cooktops are open underneath. Light switches, door handles and power points are access friendly in height, colour and design. The bathroom can accommodate people who use equipment, including a fixed shower seat, back supported toilet and safety rails. Low energy principles were also considered in the design, creating a comfortable environment through the use of natural light, air flow, good insulation and double glazing.     The SpaceThe Upstairs open plan living encompasses living area with r/c air-conditioning, kitchen and dining. The fully-equipped kitchen also has a microwave, dishwasher and capsule coffee machine. TV, DVD ,CD with ipod connection. The master bedroom (queen size bed) which has a large built-in wardrobe, also has two way access to the main bathroom which has a separate toilet and vanity, perfect for sharing. There is also a small bedroom upstairs with a single bed and built-in wardrobe. In the open plan living area, there are floor to ceiling windows and glass doors on both sides opening out to a huge wrap-around balcony with an outdoor setting for ten people. The downstairs double bedroom (queen size bed) has sliding doors on both sides opening up to a tiny courtyard on one side ideal for coffee in the sheltered sun and the backyard on the other. It has a laundry with washing machine, dryer, with a small room with shower, basin and toilet. The other bedroom with a single bed is also on the ground floor. The enclosed back yard has another outdoor setting for 8 people which is ideal when the weather is inclement, it has views of the hills. There is a Webber Q BBQ and an undercover area for car or entertainment. Guest AccessSorry, no pets. Guest have access to the whole house except for some locked cupboards. There is still plenty of storage space. A small room outside the backdoor is also locked for private property. As I don't live in the area, I do not attend the property, but you will have instructions and my contact details in case of need. The NeighborhoodThe house is in a quiet area of Port Elliot and only a short walk to Boomer Beach, but is set back from the beach so is protected from the weather. The township is about a 15 minute walk which has great cafes, boutique shops and hotels. Getting AroundPort Elliot is just over an hour's drive from Adelaide. There is a bus service from central Adelaide, but public transport around the area is not available. Limited taxis are available if necessary. Other Things to NoteCheck in time is 2pm and check out time is 10am. Please respect these times, particularly in busy periods, as our caretakers need this time to clean and change all linen. All bookings are at least three night minimum, unless in SA school holidays where 7 night minimum applies. Four night minimum at Easter. We do not accept bookings more than six months in advance.

It lies on the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, an hour’s drive from Adelaide. Nestled in 65 acres of farmland, it has ocean views between Port Elliot and Victor Harbor. Brooklands is one of the earliest stone cottages on the south coast of the South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula, a little over an hour south of Adelaide. It lies in the foothills overlooking the historic resort of Port Elliot and the rocky coastline and pristine beaches of the Great Southern Ocean. A gentle stroll up the hill behind the cottage provides a sweeping panorama from the World Heritage Coorong National Park to Victor Harbor and Encounter Bay, a sparkling playground for summer holidaymakers, seals and dolphins, and a breeding ground in the winter for the Southern Right whale. Stone for the cottage and main homestead was from the property. The quarry is just a 5-minute walk along a gully lined with ancient almond trees, olives and thorny acacia. If you inhabit the silence of this magical place for a while, you will gradually become aware of small birds such as blue wrens, silvereyes and red-browed finches flitting from bush to bush. Kangaroos live there too and you may see an echidna busily foraging amongst the grasses. The cottage is surrounded by private gardens, landscaped by Sophie Thomson (ABC Gardening Australia and 891 Radio Adelaide). They contain native plants, and plants which were popular in 19th century cottage gardens, such as lavender, rosemary and Rugosa roses. Plants have been selected for their scent and a guiding principle has been to establish a garden having colour throughout the year, yet one that requires little water. The Cockle Train runs on some weekends, but is it more of a tourist attraction than public transport. You can rent the whole house for your private use (sleeps 8). Or a room only, look for my other listings also starting with Port Elliot if there are only a few booking.     The SpaceThis has been our holiday home for the past 15 years & we remain hopelessly in love with it! This building oozes a charm of it's own. Now that we have retired, we cannot bear to even consider selling that which has provided so many happy memories so we have decided to place the property for rental so that others may also enjoy. If you do decide to come & stay we hope that you enjoy all that Port Elliot has to offer from your base at '1853 The Old Police Station'. The building has been extensively renovated within the heritage guidelines to retain the charm of the era & preserve it's place in history - if only the walls could talk! A key feature of the renovation is the enclosed 'prisoners exercise yard' which has been transformed into an enclosed courtyard area for meals & relaxing with adjoining French doors which open to the original prisoner cells (one of which is now the luxury bathroom). The property enjoys one of the best central locations in town, right at the top of magnificent Horseshoe Bay, perfect for swimming or taking in the views with a walk along the hilltops towards Victor Harbor. Only metres to the Strand precinct, historic Port Elliot train station, shops, cafes, boutiques & eateries. The home comprises 4 bedrooms & can sleep up to 8 people - 2 Queen, 1 Double (brass bed) in the old 'women's holding cell' adjacent to the lounge & 1 Double bed in what was once the resident policeman's office. Some of the original cabinetry remains in the galley style kitchen which has since been updated with jarrah cupboards, granite bench top, gas wall oven, microwave & dishwasher. There are two toilets & modern bathroom with claw foot bath in what was once a two person prisoner cell back in the 1850's. Original polished jarrah floors throughout, flat screen TV, video, split system air conditioner complete the picture. Outside, the stone walled enclosed private rear garden & lawn area is perfect for summer dining with beautiful barbeque area under the shade of two 100 year old ciprosma trees. Or maybe just read a book over a nice coffee or a G & T. All laundered designer bedroom, bathroom & kitchen linen is supplied. This includes quilt covers, sheets & pillow cases, fluffy bath towels, hand towels, bath mats, face washers & tea towels. All beds have quality dunas. If the booking is for a short stay (2 nights), breakfast provisions may be included in the tariff (max 2 adults). This will need to be confirmed at the time of booking. Western outdoor elevated terrace with built-in seats. studi033 com is centrally located in the historical, attractive and picturesque township of Port Elliot, itself an hours drive from Adelaide. The boutique studio apartment offers short and delightful walks to Port Elliot's attraction features: Knights beach 400 metres, central township 400 metres, Horseshoe Bay 500 metres. Lakala Reserve is immediately adjacent. Accommodation detail: Area: Lower floor space 60m/2, upper 50m/2, Eastern pergola 20m/2, Western terrace 10m/2. Lower and upper floors connect via stairs. Lower floor The lower floor is completely self contained in that those who are physically challenged by stairs have the option of converting the day bed to a king sized bed.             The SpaceThis modern, light, bright, open-plan two story residence offers plenty of space for up to two families with two queen bedrooms up stairs, one with walk in robe and en-suite, and downstairs, a room with two single beds, and a bunk room with another four beds plus a separate entertaining space for children. If extra guests drop in, there's also a flip-out couch. There's a flat screen TV upstairs in the lounge and down stairs too where the children can be kept active and entertained with table tennis, and fooz ball. There's also plenty of board games, jigsaws and DVDs to while away the hours. With two decks you can be sure to relax and enjoy the captivating views either over the ocean or the green rolling hills behind. The kitchen is fully equipped and also includes a coffee machine with fresh coffee, filtered water Puratap, and a good selection of teas and condiments to spice up your cooking. There's also an electric BBQ on the deck. There is a lockable double garage with a couple of bikes for your use, some boogie boards, and a big box of pavement chalk to encourage your artistic endeavours outdoors. The NeighborhoodBlue Poles is only a short walk across the dunes and railway line to the Chiton Rocks Surf Life Saving Club and beach and there are bike and walking trails passing right in front of the house. The location is quiet as it is situated on a "no through road" and only 100 metres from the driveway is the wetlands and boardwalk of Watson's gap that leads you to a creek side boardwalk and the surf booming beyond. You can easily walk or bike ride to both Victor Harbor or Port Elliot for a coffee or alternatively you could head down to "Dump" beach or Chiton Rocks with your boogie board for a swim or a surf. Getting AroundThe SteamRanger train runs twice per day between Victor Harbor and Goolwa but during school holidays and Sundays only Victor Harbor Horse tram runs 9-10 times per day across to Granite Island every day. Adelaide to Victor Harbor and Goolwa coach service (PREMIER STATELINER) runs 1-4 times per day, every day. The Goolwa to Cape Jervis Bus/Ferry combination (SEALINK) runs once a day Sun, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Bike and walking trails at the front gate. The renovation includes: Secluded and private, with a walking track at your front door, a winery/cafe 100m away, the Pt Elliot dog park 300m walk away, this property is perfectly located for a quiet and peaceful get away. The open plan living area and three bedrooms have a new floating floor. The theme for the property decor is “Nordic Retro Beachhouse” (is that even a thing?  We think its a thing!). A colour palette of white, grey and black complements the natural timber of the furniture, and captures some of the landscape of a winter in Europe. One of the interesting art pieces is a canvas print of a 19C map of Copenhagen. The brand new kitchen has stainless steel dishwasher, electric ceramic cooktop and oven. The adjacent dining area has a stunning 70’s timber dining setting that seats 10 people (when fully extended). The living area has a big screen full HD TV with built in DVD, a stereo with iPod dock, a beautiful Swedish recliner and a very comfortable modular sofa. Like all our properties (and our home), the bookshelf is fully stocked with a great collection of literary fiction and some airport novels! With the famous Port Elliot Bakery, Pubs and Cafes only meters from your door, there is no need to take the car just enjoy a leisurely 10 minute stroll to Horseshoe Bay if you don't stop to shop or grab a bite to eat! Built in 1900, Elanora Rose has been recently renovated, with a secure private yard, off street parking and lovely lawns for the kids to play. Outdoor dining is provided with BBQ facilities for those long summer nights. The fully equipped kitchen and dining is a comfortable space to entertain. There are three generous bedrooms, two with queen size beds, one with a bunk, single bed and pull out trundle. A portacot is available on request, however you will need to provide all bedding (bath towel provided).All bed linen and towels are provided including an extra towel for the ladies to use for makeup and hair. Other conveniences include ceiling fans and heaters in each bedroom, reverse cycle air conditioning in the lounge, washing machine, dryer, iron and 47 inch 3D TV/DVD in the lounge. The children's room provides a 26 inch TV and various books and games. In winter, you can warm up to a roaring fire with a glass of wine or maybe toast a few marshmallows.
