Artist eco-designed and built 6-occupant open plan, two storey studio apartment 'BNB'. Naturally lighted, naturally ventilated, reverse cycle air-conditioner equipped. Eastern all weather dining pergola, Eastern loft bay window day bed overlooking parked melaleuca lake reserve and fountain. Western outdoor elevated terrace with built-in seats.
studi033 com is centrally located in the historical, attractive and picturesque township of Port Elliot, itself an hours drive from Adelaide.
The boutique studio apartment offers short and delightful walks to Port Elliot's attraction features: Knights beach 400 metres, central township 400 metres, Horseshoe Bay 500 metres. Lakala Reserve is immediately adjacent.
Area: Lower floor space 60m/2, upper 50m/2, Eastern pergola 20m/2, Western terrace 10m/2. Lower and upper floors connect via stairs.
The lower floor is completely self contained in that those who are physically challenged by stairs have the option of converting the day bed to a king sized bed.
The lower floor opens eastward via double sliding glass doors to an all weather pergola furnished with dining table, day bed, BBQ and provisions/space for watercraft, wetsuit and towel storage. An external southern facing space adjacent the clothesline allows for storage for larger watercraft (kayak/SUP). A cold water outdoor shower is provided.
The kitchen is equipped with gas hob/electric oven, a microwave, a 130-litre fridge, a 90-litre freezer, a washing machine and ample easy-clean stainless steel food preparation space.
Also occupying this floor area is a leather 4 seater lounge with ottoman, a firm king day bed (converts to king bed for those challenged by stairs or if 2 occupants prefer this option over the bunks), a 4 person bunk bed, a large dining table, a separate bathroom and toilet and an LCD (USB and computer compatible) TV screen with built in DVD.
The upper floor houses a plush queen bed, provisions for clothes storage, a 3 seater lounge, a writing desk, an Eastern facing bay window day bed opening to overlook the adjacent lake reserve, an external Western terrace and floor space for two occupants to practice yoga (if thats your thing).
The accommodation provides off street parking.
Please note that, for the sensibilities of all, present and future, this is a smoking free zone, including all outside sitting areas. Provisions are provided for smoking litter near the side walk.
No pets (sorry…bad experiences!)
Land of the Ngarrindjeri people, popular holiday region and largely unexplored, unexperienced and beautifully peaceful winter destination, studi033 com of Port Elliot offers sophisticated and calming accommodation within close access to a multitude of Fleurieu Peninsula attractions and experiences…... sampling locally roasted artisan coffee with a friend as you admire the brush work of a locally renown artist, feeding the geese and yourself at adjacent Lakala reserve and it's weekend farmer’s market (or watching others do the same from the comfort of our bay window), viewing our female cetacean friends fatten with mothers milk their calves for their trans-Southern Ocean Antarctic return, pasting zinc cream on the freckly face of your loved-ones around the remnants of the last ice-cream, curling up with your lover/book/both on a winter’s day one of our day beds, swimming with the local ‘Ice Breakers’ across Horseshoe bay or just keeping a watchful eye-out for them over your glasses/ a book/ a coffee from the shore, watching in awe as a sea lion effortlessly manages the swallowing of a fish, the sunning of its belly and avoid being rock-wrecked and other (human) species managing less ably the task of walking bare-footed across sand ;-) , feeling the energy of a truly great Southern Ocean beach wilderness at Newland Head Conservation Park and enjoying the subtle aromatics of the delicate coastal botanical species in the one of the parks lee crags, exploring the Ngarrindjeri hunter/gatherer past in one of the many shell middens throughout the Coorong sand hills or your own inner awakenings of the hunter/gatherer instincts in the squelching of sand between your toes as you continue their ancient legacy of gather cockles (for your evenings pasta), marvelling through your mask (scuba tank strapped to your back) at the bioluminescent display of a giant cuttlefish 10 metres beneath arguable the best jetty dive (Rapid Bay- 45 min drive) in Australia, discovering your latent inner paleontological yearnings in the fascinating local geological formations, spying the drop zone from 10000 feet under a parachute or, below, simply enjoying the after taste of a local brewed pale ale while watching the Murray waters finally find home in the sea, walking the scenic slated footpath fringing Port Elliot’s roaring 40's sculptured transition between land and ocean, gazing southward across a marine wilderness towards ice bound Antarctica, getting barrelled on a classic A-frame day at Knights or hanging-ten at Middleton. Listening to weekly live musician on offer at one of the local pubs while nosing a Mclaren Vale red, waking your inner child on the Bouncy Castle at Port Elliot Caravan Park, writing a wistful lost-mariners-sonnet at Commodore Point, racing your children from beach to pontoon at Horseshoe Bay.
