The bottom communal garden is where the 8x10m rabbit enclosure is located. There is a path leading directly there from your apartment. You are very welcome to enter it and feed/play with the five rabbits. Food is provided. Rabbits reach for food with their tongues, not teeth ... so six bunnies on top of you won't hurt. Strangely, the two most timid ones allow toddlers to get closer than adults. Interaction with GuestsWe try to be available at all times .. we'll assume you like privacy unless you give us a call. The NeighborhoodTrevallyn is an eclectic neighbourhood ... many period homes that overlook the river. Lots of families and large gardens. A deli/cafe/bakery/specialty grocer is just up the road (1km) ... Trevallyn Grocer Trevallyn Bakery. Getting AroundGetting around is best done by car. It is under 5 minutes' to the centre .. the highway cuts the time. Parking for 92C is either in the bay outside your apartment (steep access) or directly outside the property on the residential street, (no restrictions and well lit at night). Foxtel (platinum all-channels) & WIFI are complimentary. A second tv and dvd player in bedroom in case kids are staying and want to watch something else. Huge selection of current dvd's is also available. Split system air conditioner in main living area with panel heaters in bedrooms. In winter, electric blankets and goose down doonas are provided. 92c has a shower room with vanity. Across the hall is a toilet with pedestal sink.

It's an easy city to get around on foot, mostly flat and well signposted or makes a wonderful base to explore the Tamar River and its winery's and associated restaurants, or to the Highlands and the alpine scenery and of course world famous trout fishing. Taxi's are plentiful and there is a rank just across the road, the transit centre for intra state buses to towns and cities such as Hobart, Devonport and Burnie as well as the East Coast towns of St Helens, Bicheno and Orford is within walking distance.     The SpaceThe Studio room has glimpses of the Tamar River It is 400 meters up from Launceston's most famous tourist attraction - the Gorge and its entrance via Kings Bridge, with its famous walks, beautiful scenery and wildlife. We offer one double bedroom in our home for guests to base themselves as well as this separate from the house, studio room that also accommodates two. The house, features an open plan well appointed kitchen, flowing onto dining and balcony areas. It shares bathroom facilities with the residents. The Studio room is a larger room has a feeling of privacy and openness, it has river 'glimpses'. Bathroom facilities are in the main house. The entrance being 8 metres from the Studio. The immediate local area features many great cafes, restaurants and bistros, such as Stillwater, The Waterfront, Penny Royal and Seaport for your days of grazing and exploration. The historic Launceston Art Gallery and Royal Park are only a few hundred metres further on from Kings Bridge. Trevallyn Reserve features Hang gliding, bush walks and some aquatic facilities and is four kilometers west. The world famous wine route though the Tamar Valley begins on a direct route 14 kilometers from the home. We are a retired couple, originally mainlanders, who love living in Launceston, Tasmania, and enjoy still 'learning' and gardening. Its gives us great delight when visitors feel at home and happy to be here close to the river. We have 2.5 rooms available; this studio a bedroom in the house and a small single room for children with a trundle bed.

    The SpaceOur home is on the side of a hill. Based 400 meters from the entrance to Launceston's most famous tourist feature - the Gorge via the Kings Bridge entrance, its beautiful scenery, bush walks and wild life, you will be overlook the heart of Tamar river. We offer a private room for two in our shared home. There is the option for a third person or two children to stay in a small adjacent room in the house on a king single trundle bed. This would be suitable for families with children or parties of three including a couple. We also list a second airy studio room separated from the house by 8 meters, which accommodates two people. That can be seen as a second listing - 'Launceston Studio Room - Close to all'. The Studio does not have bathroom facilities at the present. The house is open plan upstairs with a well planned kitchen, dining room and balcony for your comfort. The bathroom is a shared bathroom two separate toilets. Minutes away and within close walking distance are some of Launceston’s exciting restaurants, bistros and cafe's including 'Stillwater', The Waterfront, Penny Royal, and Seaport for you to explore and indulge. Beautiful gardens and Royal Park are a seven minute walk away along with Launceston's historic Art Gallery. Four klm away the Trevallyn Reserve features a hang gliding facility along with some aquatic facilies and beautiful bush walks. The famous Tamar Valley Wine route featuring some of Tasmania’s most famous vineyards commences 15 km from the house. We are a retired couple still actively engaged in life long learning and gardening. While we have enjoyed traveling and great Airbnb hospitality, our home is a happy place we look forward to sharing it with fellow travelers. Guest AccessAccess is from our drive at 26 Trevallyn Road, front stairs as we are on the side of a hill. To unload bags just pull into the single drive and we will direct you after you have unloaded to permanent parking across the street from Number 22 Trevallyn Road. This is about 30 metres from the house on the same road. The NeighborhoodPublic transport is bus. Stop is about 40 metres from the house, same street. Most prefer to walk into town (15 minutes) as it is a scenic road and passes the entrance to the Gorge and Penny Royal facilities as well as the Provodore Gallery/shop and Stillwater restaurant only 8 minutes from the house. Above us about 5 minute walk is 'Cafe Culture' and the Trevallyn Delli.

There are also a number of company's which conduct wine tours of the Tamar Valley and they are able to pick you up directly from the property. The main bedroom offers a king bed and a luxurious bathroom with a free standing bath that overlooks the street and rooftops of the surrounding neighbourhood. The second bedroom offers a double bed and has its own bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. The spacious kitchen and living area opens up to an outdoor entertaining area. Off street parking is available upon request and the apartment in securely gated. Check in is after 2pm and check out is at 10am. There are 2 living areas- a formal lounge room and a living area within the kitchen / dining. For those who enjoy cooking there is a wonderful Falcon stove with dual ovens. The gardens contain some wonderful olde worlde plants and trees. There is a deck off the living area. The property is a 200m walk to the suburb of Newstead which has shops, a supermarket, chemist, hotel, post office and restaurants. If you would prefer to go into Launceston central city it is a pleasant 2km walk past many of Launceston's finest heritage houses or a 5 minute drive.
