The SpaceTwo rooms are available, this one has a queen bed and second room has three single beds see #2. If travelling in a group view other listing. This 70's beach style house offers many spaces to use, lounge, bright and open kitchen, back deck with tables and chairs and a rocking chair where you are often visited by king parrots you can hand feed. There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing sand and salt water after being on the beach. This place suits people who like the back packer/hostel type experience but over sharing rooms with a dozen other travellers. Guest AccessGuests have access to all facilities and in addition I have a few bikes however everything is in walking distance. There is a hammock if you wish to relax under the fig tree in the yard. A Gas BBQ is on the back deck for your use. Interaction with GuestsI will be present at times, I work in Melbourne which is an hour away but enjoy my beach life. I love meeting people and will teach guests to surf if they wish and show them the coast. Kangaroos and Koalas aren't far away, nor is Bells Beach and the 12 Apostles. or will happily help them plan their trip anywhere in Australia. Guests can have as much or as little interaction as they wish. There is plenty of space to chill out in. The NeighborhoodQuiet beach town, easy to get around. Golf, bike trails and surf all nearby. The Space4 bedroom modern house in Anglesea. 1 hour from Melbourne CBD. Can get a bus from Geelong station, and train from Melbourne. Fully furnished with everything you need, inlcuding Foxtel pay tv.. and only 2 minutes walk to the Anglesea shops and 10minutes walk to the beach. 2.5 bathrooms, 2 indoor and 2 outdoor living areas. Local attractions include; Bells Beach (15mins by car), 12 aposells (1.5hours by car), local wineries, golf, restaurants and many great surf spots. Sit back and relax on the deack and enjoy the bush surroundings.

The SpaceHeather Court Cottage is situated in a court, ie a dead end street, in a very quiet location, no passing traffic. It is just a stones throw away from the Anglesea River with opportunities for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boats etc. It is very close to the shops, hotel and cafes and restaurants. It is only about 10 minutes walk alongside a walking/riding path to the main surf beach. There is safe swimming at the river mouth, as well as surfing/swimming in the sea. The area abounds in birds & wildlife with kangaroos on the local golf course, about 20 minutes walk away. There is a large variety of bird life and flora. There is an electric heater in the lounge and a cosy wood heater in the main living/kitchen area for those who might stay in winter. There is an airconditioner and fan for the hot months. There are 2 double beds, and another double bed with an upstairs bunk - the house can sleep 7 comfortably. There is a BBQ and outdoor setting on the large shady deck at the rear. The house has level access from the street - no steps or stairs - for those with pushers etc. There is a large sloping backyard area for children to play and run around and they can be supervised from the deck/kitchen. There are facilities for small babies/toddlers such as change table, high chair, portable cot etc. Also toys and books for older children. Dogs can be confined to the deck or placed in an enclosed yard with kennel nearby. Guests will have the entire house to themselves. We live next door and will assist with any issues that may arise. Only as much as they need to. They can have complete privacy in the house, but we usually try and provide a welcoming drink and give them information on local places to see and things to do It is very quiet. The house is surrounded by bush and bird life and there is close access to the river, the town and beaches. There are large children's playgrounds within a few minutes walking distance. Shopping restaurants and a hotel are close by so you will not have to drive anywhere. Anglesea is a small holiday town, easy to get around and is where the Great Ocean Road really starts as it winds its way along the south western coast of Victoria on what is said to be one of the most picturesque drives in Australia, if not the world. The house is located for easy driving to the Bellarine Peninsula towns of Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Queenscliffe - where you can catch the ferry to Sorrento across Port Phillip Bay. There are many wineries, restaurants and attractions on the Bellarine Peninsula. Getting around Anglesea is fairly easy, the shops, hotel, restaurants, river, children's playgrounds and beaches are all within easy walking distance of the house - on footpaths or riding/walking tracks with no hills. It is only a short drive/long walk to the Golf Course. Nearby towns such as Torquay, Aireys inlet and Lorne are not far away. The famous 12 Apostles can be reached in a 2 & 1/4 hours trip from Anglesea, (150 km) via the inland route, or the Great Ocean Road Route via Aireys Inlet, Lorne, Apollo Bay which takes longer. There is a bus stop about 2 mins from the house which services the nearest city (Geelong), and the Great Ocean Road to Apollo Bay. There are are trains to and from Melbourne from Geelong almost on the hour . Taxis service the local area and also the Avalon Airport which is about 45 minutes away via a freeway. The following is all provided - Linen - sheets & towels, shampoo & soap. A bottle of wine is in the fridge with a couple of chilled glasses. Tea coffee, milk, bread, butter/margarine, salt, pepper, condiments, etc. Crockery, pots and pans etc. Washing machine and laundry liquid for clothes washing. Four burner gas BBQ on the deck. Pets of any kind are welcome. V Line bus service stops about 100 metres away. Avalon airport is about 3/4 of an hour drive via freeway (no tolls). There is a bus service to Geelong and Anglesea from the Airport. You are amongst the trees but just up the road from the waves. Getting AroundA bus stop is located about 50m from the house with easy access to Geelong and Melbourne, but a car would be advisable to get around the Anglesea area. Heaters provided in each bedroom, as well as stand-alone fans for hotter weather. DVD/Video player and large LCD TV, as well as Apple IPOD Doc available for use in the living area. Pantry basics like tea, coffee, herbs and spices, olive oil and tomato sauce are supplied. A DiLonghi Coffee machine is also available. BBQ and large 8 seater outdoor table and chairs on front verandah set within a fully enclosed yard. Child Friendly single level house: with port-a-cot and highchair available. Fully enclosed small grassy yard. House is one of eleven on a scatter development, so property is not near a road. Plenty of plastic cutlery/cups/plates/bowls available. Children’s DVD’s, books, puzzles and toys are also available. Main bedroom has an LCD, queen bed and ensuite: there is also a queen bed in the middle bedroom, and two bunk beds in the children’s room. Built in wardrobes in all rooms. The Main bathroom has a large bath and separate shower. Separate laundry with front-loading washing machine, dryer, large sink and door to back yard and clothesline. This hidden gem is perfect for families, with a kids playground, BBQ facilities and plenty of walking and cycling options around the wetlands and waterways. You can even try and catch your lunch! Anglesea is the perfect place to simply relax and enjoy the beach or to explore the Great Ocean Road and all it has to offer. This centrally located holiday house has excellent access to beach, shops and restaurants while also being located in a quiet part of Anglesea. Offering four bedrooms and two bathrooms, there is an abundance of living space upstairs incorporating an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining areas with rear deck. It is a two hour ocean road drive from here to the Twelve Apostles. It is surrounded by National Park and has excellent restaurants, great beaches, good shopping and a wonderful 18 hole Golf Course where visitors are always welcome. The Golf Course is famous for its Kangaroos . Where the Anglesea River meets the sea, families play in the shallows or swim in the lifesaver patrolled surf beach. Enjoy a variety of beach and cliff top walks, taking in scenic ocean views. Cycle numerous bike paths along the Anglesea River and wetlands, home to numerous bird species. You can also paddle the river. Canoes are available for hire, as are small motorboats and paddleboats. It is a 12 minute drive to world famous Bells Beach, 15 minutes to Torquay and the surfing outlets and 25 minutes to Lorne and its up-market shopping, surrounding waterfalls and scenic walks in the Otway National Park. There is a Main House & a separate studio apartment & consists of: 4 x Queen Size beds 1 x King size bed 2 single beds 1 x trundle bed We have 2 port a cots, hi chair and stair gates. 2 x kitchens 3 bathrooms 3 tvs with foxtel cable Situated on a double block across the road from the state forest to walk to beach. The House has a HUGE deck with gorgeous views and great outdoor entertaining. There is 2 cubby houses, swing and sandpit and spring free trampoline. Guest AccessFabulous views. The NeighborhoodThe Great Ocean Road is truly magical and is a must see to anyone travelling around Australia. Other Things to NoteWe supply a starter pack on your arrival of toilet rolls soap on tap and to replenish there is a fabulous IGA in the village. As much as we are flexible with our check in and check out times this may not always be available where there is bookings back to back. There is no flexible check in and check out on the peak times.     The Space#Please note... The calendar and pricing only reflects one room, B1. As such the other rooms, B2 and B3 may be available.# Anglesea is situated at the true beginning of the Great Ocean Road. Just take one room or possibly the entire main floor of our house (available throughout most of the year). My son and I generally occupy a room downstairs so mostly the upstairs is the domain of guests. We have 3 bedrooms for use at all times. Our rooms are clean, fresh and well appointed in a minimalist holiday style. [(The information below is valid until February 2017 (subject to change without notice)]. B1 - is a large bedroom (Queen size bed) with some comfy chairs, desk and a private washroom (shower and toilet), a private deck (dinning for 4) (+ a roll-away bed if req). @ Listed price. B2 - is a medium bedroom (Queen size bed) with built-in wardrobe and access to a shared washroom (shower, bath and toilet) @ $80 per night. B3 - is a bed filled medium room (4 beds = 2 single beds + bunks) with built-in wardrobe and access to the shared bathroom @ $35 per bed. For all the rooms (the whole house, up to 8 people) is the price of B1 + $35 per extra person (but we are able to sleep up to 10 with roll-away beds (with negotiation)). The main part of the house has a large comfy lounge, TV, computers and a wood stove. It free flows into a large dining room and then into a fully equipped kitchen with enough flatware for 10+. There is also a rear deck with a BBQ and space for up to 8 to dine (and feed the birds). Breakfast is on us but we can also provide for (and prepare) all meals if so desired. Otherwise feel free to cook in our kitchen. Also provided is high speed Internet, fishing gear, board games, lots of books, some wet-suits and a clothes washing machine. We feed up to 6 varieties of parrots (and we had a few chickens until the fox got them but we still provide) free-range eggs. There is plenty of parking in our quiet court and we can organize access to a tennis court and surf lessons. Anglesea is surrounded by a large State Park with a variety of walking and cycling paths and the local BMX/Bike track/circuit is just around the corner. We are 3-5 minutes walk to the river, 4-6 minutes walk to shopping, restaurants and the local pub and just 8-10 minutes walk from the beach. If you do not have a car a V-Line bus runs 2 times a day (connects to Geelong 40 minutes away). Anglesea is just 15 minutes drive from Bell’s Beach and Torquay, about 25 minutes to Lorne and approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes from the big city of Melbourne (via a direct hwy link). We hope you choose to stay with us and visit Anglesea, which is near to all that the Victorian Surf Coast has to offer; Wineries, Beaches, Restaurants, Markets, Forest, SURF and of course, The Great Ocean Road. PS. During your stay my son has volunteered to help with guest luggage, resupply of essentials, maps, directions and suggestions and any gear like boards, wet-suits, tennis racquets, games etc... Guest AccessGuests have access to everything inside the house (including my pantry) and outside (BBQ, wetsuits and a couple of old boards). We provide FReggs, bread, milk, bacon, spreads, coffee, tea for breakfast ( + we have flour, rice, pasta etc so if you are caught without dinner we can provide). Interaction with GuestsSome of our guest like to get to know us a bit and we welcome that. We often join guests for meals and spend time on the beach as guides or just company. Conversely, we are happy to let y'all do your thing. The NeighborhoodWe are situated in a small court (10 holiday houses) about 4-5 minutes walk to the shops and pub and 8-10 minutes walk to the beach. Most of Anglesea is only inhabited during the summer months. From Easter until October the beaches are mostly empty (but that's when the whales pass by). Getting AroundThere is little in the way of public transport except for the Bus that travels the Great Ocean Road twice a day. During summer holidays there are extra buses but otherwise Taxis can get you around town. {NEWs Sept 2014 - There is an in town bus service starting soon. For info check out the Surf Coast local govt website} Other Things to NoteWe can assist in Kangaroo viewing at the local golf course (best way to see the Roos is to play a round of golf but you can also go near dusk or at dawn ). There are other places to view them as well, but we keep them a secret until you arrive.
