      The SpaceOur beautiful renovated beach house is only steps to the the family friendly beach of Cowes and the Anderson Road boat ramp. At the end of the road on the beach is a cute cafe great for a coffee or breakfast. Or take a short 10 to 15 minute stroll into town along the beach for a spot of shopping or to experience the great cafes and restaurants Cowes have to offer. Step inside the beach house and you instantly feel at home. Our cosy home sleeps up to 9 people. Downstairs we have 2 bedrooms one with a queen size bed and the other with a double bed and single bunk bed, both with plenty of cupboard space. Upstairs we have a pull out double sofa bed in the family area and a queen size bed in master bedroom with built in robes. No need to bring your linen, it's all supplied! including towels. There are 2 bathrooms one downstairs and a main bathroom upstairs with with everything you need, it includes a beautiful free standing bath, double sinks set on a large stone bench top and shower, with your bathroom essentials included. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod cons. Electric oven and hot plates, toaster, sandwich press and microwave. Plenty of serving platters for entertaining also. Downstairs is open plan with a lovely dining area with a comfy lounge, large TV and Blu Ray player. We have a light filled sunroom that looks out onto the large yard where you can sit and play some games or just read a book. Upstairs there is a family room with another TV, great area to get away for some private space, includes a decked balcony with 2 comfy boat chairs to sit and listen to the birds and enjoy the view. There is a fully equipped laundry in the downstairs bathroom and out back is a beautiful decked area with a BBQ and outdoor setting for you to enjoy with some friends and even a couple of hammocks to snuggle into under a tree. You can hire a Kayak or paddle boat and have some fun in the water. It just takes 15 minutes to walk into the main township of Cowes, where you can enjoy a spot of shopping and try some fantastic restaurants. We are close to all the great attractions Phillip Island has to offer. Make sure you don't miss the famous penguin parade and of course the motorcycle Grand Prix, the V8 Supercars Getting AroundThere is plenty of public transport to get you to events and attractions. Also there are bikes to hire in Cowes and lovely walking tracks to explore. There is also a great Taxi service on the island to get you around. The Andersons Rd boat ramp and cafe is a 2min drive, 5 min walk to general store. Just 12 km from Phillip Island Penguin Parade, 6 km from the Grand Prix circuit, short drive from the Ventnor off leash dog beach (off leash times vary throughout the year) and other major attractions of Phillip Island. House consists of: -Bedroom 1 - queen bed -Bedroom 2 (kids' retreat) - a tribunk (double bed with a single on top), TV, DVD, drawing table and plenty of toys for kids to be occupied with. -Bedroom 3 - queen bed -1 Bathroom with seperate shower and bath. Seperate toilet. -Laundry has a washing machine, iron and ironing board for your use. An outstanding build in its time the renovation has bought a deliciously relaxed feel to the property. Lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy including the Hot Spa and Pool and Buddahs garden. The one bedroom studio being the 4th bedroom/ensuite is separate and detached from the house, it will need to be requested as it is extra $50 per night or if 8 guests are staying it is already calculated in when you book. The Studio is also available to rent separate to the house when the house is not booked at a cheaper price for one person or a couple. Guest AccessYou are most welcome to enjoy the entire property as well as complimentary tea/coffee and loccitane toiletries. There is a coffee machine and outdoor BBQ area with a Webber BBQ which makes the most of the beautiful backyard filled with a mix of both Australian native, English and tropical plants and trees. Take a lemon for the salad from the Lemon Tree or some herbs from the garden for dinner. The NeighborhoodWe love the position of Kalinda - one walking block to the supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and yet far enough away to have peace and quiet. All linen must be brought with you. This includes top and bottom sheets (OR bottom sheets and quilt covers), towels, bathmat and tea towels. Quilts and pillows are provided. While we provide one of the most tastefully furnished holiday properties in Silverleaves, our elfin hideaway has no TV, dishwasher, bath or air-conditioning. The NeighborhoodLocated on the north-east coast of Phillip Island Silverleaves beach is protected from prevailing southerly winds and is a very safe beach for swimming. The Silverleaves area is also the home to a large array of native bird life and one of the most successful nesting grounds of the Hooded Plover. Walk to Cowes along the beach or in the other direction along coastal reserve and native wetlands. The waters are perfect for kayaking, paddle-boarding etc. The nearest surf beach is 8km to the south at Smith's beach. Getting AroundThe property can accommodate 2 cars in the driveway. Further parking is available on the street if required. Other Things to NoteSilverleaves Beach Shack is 'old-style' in its proportions. The inside dining table seats 6 comfortably. There is a larger outdoor table o the deck for warm weather. Please be aware that while the bedrooms are quite spacious the indoor living areas are not large - more to traditional 1950s proportions. There is an air conditioner in the main kitchen/living space only. We only use it in heat-wave conditions. Our house is not child-proof and there are definite hazards for small children. Because of this we are more comfortable with bookings that do not include children and we do NOT accept reservations that include children under 7 years of age. There is no fence between the back garden and the beach, no rails around the deck, a hand-made ladder to the loft which can be tricky to climb. The price does not include linen or towels other than for one King Size bed. Guests are asked to bring a top and bottom sheet for the beds. If this is a problem, let's discuss ...

The island is a great place for surfing, cycling, sailing, canoeing and fishing, and it is famous for its "Penguin Parade" at sunset every day and you can also see the koalas, seals and walk or cycle through the wetlands. Getting AroundThere is no public transport near the house, although shuttle buses are run from the nearby Silverleaves Cafe to the Moto GP when that is being run.
