I had a fabulous time spending a little more than a week, including the Easter weekend, with Steven, Karen, Amanda and Hayden. They really let me come along in their entire daily routine and gave me a great look into Australian family life. I enjoyed cooking with Karen a lot and have gained the ability to treat my family back home to some Australian foods and snacks. It was great going out with Steven to feed the sheep and it was great learning about all the things that go on around the farm. On top of that I had a great time playing various games; discussing English as well as Aussie slang during bananagrams, and striking deals during a game of monopoly.
Spending Easter with the family was an absolute privilige. It was great to come along to church and to meet some friends of the family. It was a really special Easter and I absolutely enjoyed it.
Steven, Karen, Amanda and Hayden,
Thank you for letting me tag along in your family and for letting me spend a very special Easter with you. If ever I am nearby again, I will be sure to stop by.

The place to be! It was my first travel experience, and I'm very happy to have met this lovely family. I stayed with Steven, Karen, Amanda and Hayden (sausage :)) for 1 week. I felt well from the first day. I learned a lot of things, on the farm work, the cooking... and I improved my English. Everyone was very patient with me, they take the time to repeat if you don't understand. I shared very nice and funny times with this family, thank you very much for everything!! You're the best! I'm waiting for you in France ;)

I stayed six days with Karen, Steven, Amanda and Hayden and really enjoyed my time there. The whole family integrated me in their life from the very first second.
I did several things during my stay: fencing, sheep work like drafting, feeding sheep, collecting veggies (“Gemüse” was Karen's word of the day) in the little veggie patch, cooking (yummy self-made zucchini pesto). Steven was a good teacher and answered all my questions. There was always time to play “Bananagrams” (very good to learn new words) or Wii Sport or to watch TV. Karen is an excellent cook and always tried to teach me new Aussie recipes. The kids are just awesome, very kind, smart and welcoming.
It is a great place to stay (comfortable king-sized bed in your own room, internet access and help with planning your journey), has amazing landscapes (the Grampians in blue, green, black or even purple) and a wonderful family.
I highly recommend staying with them.
Thanks for that experience, don't forget all the German I taught you!
Auf Wiedersehen, see you,

Steven, Karen, Amanda and Hayden are awesome hosts, and a lovely family living on a beautiful farm.
I spent 5 fun-filled days with them learning some simple cooking with Karen before a super Sunday spent at church and sight-seeing with the family.
Be prepared to join in with the family and you will enjoy every minute here - and be rewarded with fantastic healthy wholesome home cooked food. If you're lucky you will get to enjoy relaxed games in the evening too.
I've had a fulfilling experience here, the whole family is so generous and kind, and so willing to share.
AWESOME - I will miss you all, especially Hayden with his wacky sense of humour and cheeky smile! :)

We had 3 weeks before Christmas with Steve,Karen,Amanda and Hayden, (not forgetting Gus, Puppy, Gilbert and Kyana!!) thoroughly enjoyed our time there as we have every time we go there. We would highly recommend a stay there.
Fabulous food, great company and being a farm always lots of things to do, nothing that requires being a rocket scientist so give it a go.

I think it was wonderful of this kind family to take in all of 8 travellers to share Christmas with. I spent 5 days here, over this holiday period, where we enjoyed marvelous food a plenty on their lovely farm just south of The Grampians National Park. It was a very welcome city escape for me where I enjoyed being shown around the farm. The mountain views are great and we climbed nearby Mt Sturgeon on Boxing day in good weather for good views of the area. Rides on Steven's Motorbike were fun as was playing cricket and flying a kite on Christmas day. Lots of baking was enjoyed by all. I was fortunate to see my first Kangaroo posing on the railway tracks for us before attending the lovely Warrayure country church for Christmas services with the family.
Thank you Karen, Steven, Hayden and Amanda for a great Christmas.

This was my first travel experience, and could not have been more positive. I stayed with Karen and the Noske's for four days over Christmas, and from the moment I stepped off the bus, they went out of their way to make me feel at home. We had a lovely time cooking and baking for Christmas, playing games with the family, and relaxing on their lovely farm. They were also kind enough to take us for a hike up Mt. Sturgeon to see the impressive view of the Grampians. I even had a big cozy bed to sleep in, and Karen and Steven helped me to organize travel arrangements to my next placement.
Thanks again, Karen & co.! I had a wonderful time and hope to see you again soon!

Our one month with the Noske family was a great cultural and learning exchange! We really felt welcomed into their home and enjoyed spending time with their family. We loved helping in the kitchen and trying new recipes with the family. Karen has an exciting renovation project underway and we were happy to see the transformation of the shed into a cozy and creative space. Karen and Steven are very knowledgeable and taught us a lot on sheep husbandry and the wool process. We helped Steven with some herding and inoculating some lambs. Michael enjoyed doing motorcycle stuff with Hayden while I enjoyed baking and cooking with Amanda.
Hamilton is a charming town and it's a near ride to Halls Gap. Karen had a lot of nice suggestions of places to visit as they are on the southern foothills of the Grampians range. Some afternoons we visited the town for some shopping and also the nearby attractions like the waterfalls, and mountain.
We highly recommend this help exchange so much that we'll be back for a visit in the upcoming months!

I had absolutely wonderful four days staying at Karen's and her family's house. They took me as a part of their family and we had so many lovely moments when we were for example baking together. Karen has also so warm attitude towards her helpers that you can not feel yourself anything but welcome.
I also had real fun helping with the shearing and got to do all jobs related to shearing all tough I had never even sown a sheep being sheared before... I wouldn't believe how many new and nice things I could experience in just four days! Thank you Karen & co :)
