Their oasis of 19 cottages, surrounded by beautifully cared for gardens are all fully self-contained. Most cottages feature a two person spa bath, and all have the cosy open fire with enough wood on your verandah to keep you toasty warm for the duration of your stay. Spend a weekend, or midweek stay, creating your own special memories. Pick yourself some fresh herbs and vegetables from the surrounding gardens and prepare a delicious meal. There is a phone contact listed in case local issues arise. The NeighborhoodThe Unit is close to the beach and shopping precinct and the famed Begola Wetlands. It is in a peaceful garden setting with north facing windows allowing warmth from the Sun in winter. Minimum booking is 2 nights in off peak and four in school holidays. Getting AroundAlthough there are Bus Services to Geelong and towns on The Bellarine Peninsula a car maximises one's ability to visit local tourist attractions. Other Things to NoteJust 400 metres east of the Unit is 'The Begola Wetlands'. There is seating available and a safe walking track around the lake which is home to local flora and fauna etc. This little known area is a gem well worth a leisurely stroll from the Unit.

My husband Geoff and myself live on the premises and we have 3 private rooms with their own private ensuites for rent accommodating up to 2 people in each. Check other listings for rooms 1,and 3! Bookings are for 1 to 2 people. Our home is known as "The Surf House" due to our link with 'Christian Surfers' nationally and internationally, also because most of our family being avid surfers. So this theme you will find runs through the house. But you do not have to feel that you have to be a surfer to stay with us!! But if you do you might even get a lift with Geoff to some of the local favorite surf spots!! Labor Day weekend is a min. of 3 nights and Easter weekend and Christmas holiday period is min. of 2 to 3 nights. Apart from these dates we are flexible. Starting rates are for 1 person. Stays longer than 3 nights receive further discount. Our house has recently undergone some extensive renovations to help make it it more comfortable and a user friendly guest house. Ceilings have changed, soundproofing added to bedrooms, freshly painted and two extra bathrooms added and air conditioners put into 4 of the bedrooms. We also have added a smart little kitchen to the guests downstairs living room. Two rooms have Queen size beds, the other bedroom has two king single beds. The three bedrooms also have air-conditioning. All rooms now have their own ensuites. Linen and towels provided. A free light breakfast of toast, cereal, tea and coffee is included . If you would like the more comprehensive fresh continental breakfast ( eggs, fresh fruit,fruit juice and yogurt) can be chosen for an extra $10 per person per day. Weekends full breakfast is included(URL HIDDEN)Our home consists of 5 large bedroom home on 1 acre. Bedrooms are up stairs and 2 bathrooms/toilet are upstairs and one bathroom/toilet is downstairs. Guests living room is a private room at the back of the house which has a small self contained kitchen with fridge, microwave, electric fry pan and all crockery, cutlery etc. This room also has 3 couches, and a large 42 inch TV and DVD player. Laundry is accessible as well to the guests at no extra charge. The large back yard is also free to guest to use as it is a nice place to sit back and relax in the fresh air and sunshine. On the back decking there is also a BBQ for guests use. We have 2 cats and 4 chickens! Also one part time golden retriever- daughters dog. We live in the house and the main downstairs area of the home is our private area. Our house is a 2 minute drive (2 km) from the Ocean Grove shopping centre and 2 km from swimming and surf beach. 25 km from city of Geelong. 75 km from city of Melbourne. Great place to start if travelling along the Great Ocean Road. You will have access to TV, wireless internet, air conditioning, laundry, BBQ, backyard, push bikes and off road parking is also included . The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is quiet even though we live on the main road coming into Ocean Grove. Our house is set back 200 meters off the road and our property consists of approximately 1 acre. We have a large back yard and are surrounded by large trees. Our next door neighbour is the Holiday Park but noise generated from this establishment is minimal. New Year is generally the only time we have excessive noise from the park! Getting AroundLocal Geelong buses come through to Ocean Grove several times a day and the closest bus stop is only 200 meters away. Trains from Melbourne to Geelong travel regularly each day with local buses then connecting with some of these train times and then travel to Ocean Grove. From the Melbourne airport there is a bus service called the Gull which travels between Geelong and Melbourne Airport each day roughly every 2 hours. The Avalon airport also has bus services between Avalon and Geelong. Please check times on their respective web sites. The NeighborhoodAlthough close to the town centre, this is a quiet and peaceful region of Ocean Grove. You'll love the bush and native birdlife. This region buzzes with surfers and wine lovers all year round. We have many cafes, restaurants, parks and cycling tracks. Getting AroundWe supply the number for our local taxi service. Our closest stop for the buses to Geelong and the Bellarine Region is a 5 minute walk. Over the summer period a free shuttle bus service operates between Ocean Grove & Barwon Heads from the same stop. Other Things to NoteTurn left or right from the front gate & enjoy a 2km walk, ride or jog along tree lined streets. On Woodlands Drive you'll see the entry to an extensive nature reserve where you'll find kookaburras & possibly a wallaby. We have even found an echidna in our garden. The beautiful Ocean Grove surf beach is a 20 minute walk or 3 minute drive away.

    Guest AccessEntry through the front door. Upon my absence you can check-in using a key-safe. Ill give you the pin on confirmation. Please only use main bathroom and toilet which is shared. garage and master room and other guest room are off limits. Use of BBQ is fine and please ask for demo if I'm around on my pride and joy... my coffee machine. Also my record player is off limits, otherwise all appliances are for use. Interaction with GuestsDepending on my work schedule I'm more than happy to assist with use of household appliances or even local recommendations. The NeighborhoodSome mornings I get woken to the sound of the roaring ocean which is about 2km away. Usually get woken by the local birds though . As I live in a little calder sac theres no through traffic so its a very quiet nieghbourhood Getting AroundParking is available to left hand side of my drive or directly out front of my home. There is a bus stop at the local supermarket only 10 mins walk away. Other Things to NoteSome gps or phone apps may direct you to a dead end road off Banks road. you must enter my estate off Tareeda way. Im happy to assist if I can if you get slightly lost. My home is also shared by Jamie. She's a very quiet friendly guest of mine from Taiwan.

Kitchen is spacious and has cooking facilities including pots, pans plates and cutlery. There is a microwave and a capsule coffee machine provided. There is a BBQ on the balcony. This is a very quiet neighbourhood that provides a perfect place to wind down after a day exploring the local towns dotted along the peninsula's coast. The village of Drysdale is a two minute drive away or a 10-15 minute stroll. There are a few cafes as well as the local pub with bistro or pub meals available. The local Golf Club also has a bistro with a very reasonably priced menu. There are buses that run through Clifton Springs and Drysdale however if you want to get out and about, it is advisable to have your own transport. This is an ideal place for those who wish to explore the Bellarine Peninsula and have easy access to some wonderful beaches both on the bay side and on the ocean. Bellarine peninsula attractions include the Queenscliff Blues Train, local Bellarine wineries, stunning scenery throughout the Peninsula. Annual festivals include the Celtic Festival, Mussel festival, Queenscliff Blues festival amongst others. Please note - to provide a tranquil atmosphere, there is no tv on the premises. There is however a vintage radio, radiogram and some records (for adult use only please). There is also a small library for your use during your stay. Fantastic access to all that the Bellarine has too offer. Local golf club offers very reasonable priced meals in the Bistro. WiFi and a few fun board games available too! Unfortunately there is little cupboard hanging spaces in bedrooms, but plenty of hooks to hang nice dresses and suits. A highchair and baby gate is available as well as plastic bowels, plates and spoons for young ones. The house is centrally located in 'Old' Ocean Grove. Barwon Heads is five minutes drive away, several wineries and restaurants, and the kids Adventure Park are all nearby. The bus from Geelong runs into Ocean Grove township, about ten minutes walk from the house.         The SpaceClassic Portarlington beach house with modern conveniences. Light, bright and comfortable. House has two bedrooms - one with king bed, the other with two king singles that can be pushed together if needed to make another king bed. Separate study also has a bed settee for a further guest (or two). There is a well equipped kitchen and super-comfy lounge with big flat screen TV. Lounge, living and kitchen area all overlook the water which is right across the road. Small beach across the road is a bay beach, so especially great for families with small children. It is also 300 metres to the boat ramp and on Sundays there is a children's train ride also available near the boat ramp. A peaceful and lovely place to be!

Great base to explore the Peninsular and Great Ocean Road. 5 minute drive to Barwon Heads, 15minutes to Queenscliff (take the ferry to Portsea), 20 minutes to Geelong, Portarlington or Torquay and 1 hour to Lorne. The setup is - 3 bedrooms - Master with Queen bed and ensuite - 2nd Bedroom with double and single bed - 3rd Bedroom with 2 bunks a single and a fold out sleeps 6. - Open plan kitchen/family room with extendable dining table that can fit 10 to 12 and TV area with 3 Seater and 2 seater couch (3 seater opens up into a double bed if needed) - Large lounge with lots of seating and second TV (with attached DVD player). - Gas and electric heating and the 2 main bedrooms have ceiling fans. - Ducted Evaporative Cooling throughout the house. - New kitchen fully equipped with oven, hotplates, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, cooing utensils, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and glasses to cater for large family stays. - Separate bathrooms (with bath) and toilet . Ensuite has shower and toilet. - Outdoor shower with hot/cold water (to wash off the sand from the Ocean). - Laundry with washing machine. - Outdoor furniture with ample seating. Overlooking the bay, Port Phillip Bay heads and the shipping channels, the apartment is 8 years with modern fittings. The Apartment Fully self contained with a small kitchen, large dinning/ lounge area and private bed room with a comfortable queen bed. It has a private balcony with uninterrupted views of the water. Ideally sleeps 2 but can comfortably accommodate 4. Across from the property is a safe swimming beach and within a short walk is the surf beach. Location Easy access to the village shopping centre ( 5 min walk) whereby you can access a supermarket, chemist and cafe's. Public transport is located in the village centre (bus services into Geelong). It is an Ideal for base to visit the surrounding areas have to offer- the Great ocean road, Queenscliff, Bellarine and Mornington Peninsula. Point Lonsdale is located 1 and half hours drive from Melbourne or easy access from the Geelong train station via bus (30 min). Avalon airport is 45 min away with a shuttle bus service to Point Lonsdale. Please confirm for availability before making a reservation request as we do rent it out thru other outlets. This provides extra privacy for guests who need not go through someone else's space to access their accommodation. It's in a quiet and peaceful area but still just 1.5km to the main street and 2km to the surf beach. Guest AccessGuests have their own private access to the room from the outside of the home. The room features an ensuite and bedroom, with the addition of a TV to create a studio apartment environment to meet the needs of day and night. Use of fridge and kitchen and laundry is available upon request. Interaction with GuestsI like to offer my guests as much privacy as they want. But I also enjoy meeting my guests and hearing their stories and Airbnb has given me delightful opportunities to meet many interesting and wonderful people. But, as I say, privacy is my number one assurance for my guests and my home offers that completely. The NeighborhoodI love my town, the community, the generosity of the people and of the nature. I get to wake to the sound of birds and then head down to the beautiful beach for a run, often via our lake and river. We are spoilt by natural beauty wherever we go in Ocean Grove. I love that I have a warm and cosy home, away from the hustle and bustle in high season, but close enough that I can step out and into its delightfulness when I like. My home is quirky, it is interesting, it is welcoming and it is peaceful. My home is exactly that - a home. I am delighted to have a space that includes a very private room and ensuite which I can share with travellers. It is a home; it is not a hotel. It will always be clean and tidy and welcoming.
