If you need to be collected from the Sorrento/Q'cliff ferry or require a Geelong pickup/drop off service, this can also be arranged. We have great general knowledge of the local area, should you wish us to conduct a tour to the local wineries or other seaside destinations. The NeighborhoodThere is so much to see and do in Queenscliff that you really need to consider staying for 2 nights if possible. All guests who stay 1 night comment that they wish they could alter their travel arrangements and extend their stay here in this beautiful coastal town. Queenscliff is full of history and has an abundance of beautiful old buildings to explore. The Maritime Museum, Historical Museum and Queenscliff Fort offer a glimpse into the history of the area. If you would prefer to spend the day exploring the great shopping or restaurants on offer, then you are also spoilt for choice. Or consider visiting the local wineries. Share a 'taste platter', enjoy some of the regions best wines and take in the incredible views and hospitality of the area. Getting AroundEverything in Queenscliff is within easy walking distance. However we do have loan bicycles if you would like to explore a little further. Our local cute little Bongo Vans offer a tour of town and Point Lonsdale on weekends. Great fun for all the family. Other Things to NoteWe host in our home, which means we live here. However please don't let this deter you as our home is large and we have our own bathroom facilities. If you would prefer for a family to share the large Queen bedroom, we can arrange for a king single mattress to be placed in the room for you at the charge of $40, this is to cover the linen and breakfast charge for up to 2 children under 10 yrs age.

During your stay, you MUST respect them at ALL times. It is there weekend retreat and they are there to relax and enjoy there weekend. Music and all noise MUST be turned down by 11:30pm. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop is just down the road for the bus that runs on the hour and goes to Sorrento and the on to Frankston along the beach road. Other Things to NoteThere will be 2 bicycles with helmets for your use. To have the possibility to ride to the Quarentine Area 15 minute ride into the Sorrento shops , or to have a look at the sunset at the Portsea back beach.

You access via the back of the building It's the third roller door which should be up. 3745 Pt Nepean road- the second roller door will be down.. This needs to remain closed at all other times. Enter through here and go up the spiral staircase to the apartment Key location is msg the day before check in- keys to be left in the same spot. THE ALARM IS DEACTIVATED 30 min before the check in time and 30 after check out time.     The SpaceFrimmell Way has just undergone a thorough renovation and is ready for holiday makers to enjoy all the great features that the house has to offer. The sleeping arrangements are set up with four bedrooms that are configured with 3 x queen beds, a set of bunks and a trundle bed. Linen will be supplied, free of charge, for bookings of three nights or more. With bookings of less than three nights, guests will need to bring their own sheets, pillow cases and towels, alternatively, linen can be supplied at an additional cost ($15 per queen and $10 per single - towels included in this rate). The lounge room is set up perfectly to relax with two couches, a TV, DVD player, a large R/C air conditioner and board games. Alongside the lounge is the spacious kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with all the modern necessities including a dishwasher, microwave, oven/cook-top, large fridge/freezer and a coffee machine. The dining table seats eight people comfortably, there is also a breakfast bar with bar stools and a highchair available. The main bathroom has a shower, bath and a vanity, with the main toilet located separately with a vanity also. The second bathroom (ensuite), adjoins the master bedroom and has a shower, toilet and vanity. Laundry facilities available in the style of a European Laundry including a built in utility basin that doubles nicely as a baby bath. The back door opens onto a large deck with an outdoor setting for eight and a BBQ, and is readily accessible from the kitchen. Off the deck is a beautifully maintained lawn area, perfect for children to play, with large double gates that lock and secure back yard. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights throughout the year, 4 nights at Easter and 7 nights during the Christmas Holidays. With the main house having 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and kitchen then the bungalow escape has its own big screen TV, large sofa and shower and toilet and has slept our 4 teenagers comfortably. Connecting the back of the house and bungalow is a large new north facing decking area that contains outdoor dining table, couch, hammock and plenty of chairs. The decking is built around a large tree that creates natural shade. Guest AccessThe complete house, bungalow and yard. We have our caravan and boat stored at the property but they do not interfere with your use of the holiday home. Interaction with GuestsFor bookings and any help while staying by phone. The NeighborhoodLocated in the Lower Bluff quiet pocket area of St Leonard's. 5 min. walk to secluded beaches and Edward's Point Nature Reserve. The area has various coastal walks and bike riding tracks. Swan Bay is available for canoeing and the bay has boat ramps available for boat enthusiasts. Fishing and water sports are popular particularly near the yacht club up the road. Ocean Grove surfing, Point Lonsdale rock pools, Queenscliff observation tower and ice cream are all within 15-20 min drive. The area has a number of wineries. The Dirt roads mark the start of this hidden pocket of St Leonard's. Getting AroundCar, walk, bike ride (provide your own), some buses are available.       The Space'Clutha Cottage' is an historical property with regional significance. It was built in 1856 by William Pagan, who later was Mayor of Queenscliffe, for the Rev James Clow, a pioneer Australian colonist and Presbyterian minister. Clutha Cottage still retains the many charming original features including elaborate barge boards, a unique bay window and generous sized rooms. The rear of the villa is modern with all of the features required for a comfortable stay. This includes a well appointed kitchen, laundry and, a large bathroom with a spacious shower and bath. There are two toilets. Outside there is an undercover entertainment area with a BBQ, out-shed and a double garage. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all rooms within the cottage except for the attic. Guests can also access beach and sporting equipment in the garage. There is ample on-Street parking out the front of the property. Interaction with GuestsWe will meet you with the keys and provide a brief on the villa upon arrival. The Neighborhood'Clutha Cottage' is located on the high ground immediately behind and within two blocks of the main street of Queenscliff. A highly sought after area, it is quiet and calm and always receives a cool breeze - even on the hottest of Summer days. It is the perfect place to relax. Many quaint shops, galleries, restaurants, cafe and parks are only a 2 minute walk away. It is an easy, pleasant 5 minute walk to each of Queenscliff's two beaches and the magnificent Swan Bay is only a stone's throw away. Located nearby is the Bellarine Railway which operates a steam train service from Queenscliff Station. Further along is the Queenscliff Marina, where you can take the Sorrento Ferry to access the attractions of the Mornington Peninsula. Queenscliff itself is located at the tip of the Bellarine Peninsula. The Bellarine Peninsula has many attractions accessible by a short car journey including great surf beaches, wineries, restaurants, cafe, galleries and water parks. The famous Great Ocean Road is only one hour from Clutha Cottage. The Bellarine Peninsula is blessed with many golf courses which offer green fee players the opportunity to indulge their passion. The region's main town, Geelong, has recently developed its waterfront and is well worth a visit. Geelong also has all of the major services you may require and is 30 minutes by car or 50 minutes by bus from Queenscliff. Getting AroundClutha Cottage's central location means that you can throw away the keys and walk to restaurants, cafe, beaches and beautiful vistas. Point Lonsdale is five kilometres away and is an easy bike ride on a dedicated cycle path. Queenscliff now has a 'bongo' service operating from the ferry terminal with a reciprocal service at Sorrento. These electric tricars are a great way to get around. Tickets last the entire day. The NeighborhoodThe close proximity to the beach, ferry, cafes, restaurants. the famous Blues Train is why I live where I live - Queenscliff is the centre of the world ! but I am happy to share it with you. Swim with the Dolphins, take a fishing trip, visit Mud Islands, visit the local wineries, and then there is the shopping ... or just curl up under a tree and read a book - do as much or as little as you want. Getting AroundQueenscliff is a great walking town with lots of pretty walks or catch a Bongo for a quick tour around. There is a regular bus to Geelong station which connect with trains to Melbourne or to the Gull bus to Melbourne airport. Other Things to NoteQueenscliff is an historic town with lovely old buildings and is located at the entrance of Port Phillip Bay. The "Rip" is one of the most dangerous waters in the world so a pilot is needed to guide the ships into the bay. Should you wish to walk/cycle/drive a little out of Queenscliff you will find the Marine Discovery Centre and the Point Lonsdale Shopping centre, Lighthouse and beach. There are plenty of things to see and do Guest AccessCarisbrook Cottage is a small self contained 2 bedroom cottage with a garden area including an outdoor setting and bbq. The cottage has air conditioning or ceiling fans for the summer and it has gas or electric heating for the winter. Access to the cottage is up our driveway and through the backyard. This area is well lit at night and there is a outside light for guests to leave on when going out in evening. Interaction with GuestsWe like to show our guests into the cottage and explain how things work, then we try to give them as much privacy as possible and encourage our guests to drop key into us on way out so as we can ask about their stay. If our guests would like total privacy we like them to let us know initially, then we would just show them in and they could drop key in mailbox on way out.
