For overseas visitors wanting to see kangaroos, possums and other native wildlife they are literally right outside your door.

Dickson shopping centre is less than 4kms away and has an outdoor swimming pool, large supermarket, bottle shops, gyms, bars and restaurants. Sometimes called Canberra’s ‘China Town’, around Woolley Street you’ll also find Indian, Ethiopian, Italian, Japanese and South-East Asian restaurants as well as Chinese restaurants and grocers.
The trendy suburb of Braddon is 10 minutes away, and has a host of bars, restaurants, cafes and specialty boutiques. Nearby is the Canberra Centre and city centre which covers all your shopping, working and nightlife needs. Getting AroundThe house is less than five minutes to local bus services. Catch the 39 bus to the city, via Dickson shopping centre, in under 20 minutes. Or drive there in 10.
Canberra is known for its excellent bike path system and you can ride via leafy paths all the way to city centre in half an hour (borrow our bikes for free). Mountain bike trails are close to the house, and there is a trail that leads all the way to the National War Memorial, and on to Lake Burley Griffin and all Canberra’s national monuments and attractions.
Well located for visitors driving from Sydney, Watson is just off the highway, close to the airport and also allows a quick getaway when you want to head to gorgeous south coast beaches. Other Things to NoteEnjoy our home-grown veggies and eggs from our delightful chickens (cooked breakfast on request). We share our home with a friendly well behaved labradoodle called ‘Rupert’ (who loves to say hello before retiring to his favourite resting spot).
