The beach is stunning! You often have it to yourselves! 5-10 minute stroll through the maidens tuart forest. My place is not too far from the Dolphin Discovery Centre in Koombana Bay! I used to be a volunteer there! So will share valuable information & knowledge. Maps provided! I live on the property with my min dog (Isach) my living area is private and your privacy is guaranteed! The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is in the heritage precinct of Bunbury. It is quiet and beautiful and sits on the Leschenault inlet. We are a few minutes walk to town, shops, cafes and the cinemas. Getting AroundParking is at the front door and as we are located so close to the city, buses are readily available. The train to/from Perth is located a short taxi ride from the property.

The SpaceThis is an older house that we have renovated, it is a quaint 2 bedroom, brick and tile house with polished jarrah floor boards. It has a lounge room, kitchen/dining, laundry, separate toilet and bathroom. Main Bedroom has 1 queen bed and the second bedroom has a bunk bed and 1 single bed. Sleeps 5 people in 4 beds. Airconditioned/heating in main living area, ceiling fan in main bedroom to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. Digital TV in lounge and bedroom. A quick walk to the Quays shops with small supermarket open until 8 pm in summer. Cute cottage garden features magnificent old roses, rosemary and a great herb garden out the back. It also has an outdoor setting for entertaining. Kitchen is equipped with all the basics. Linen is included. All beds come with 2 Pillows, Doonah and Blanket. Bathroom has bath and shower. Carparking for two cars off street. Whole house and garden As we live 100 kms away we can't always meet our guests but if we can we drop in to say hi and make sure everything is OK We love the older people around us that look out for our house. Its a quiet street and used to have lots of Greek immigrants. East Bunbury is a highly sort after place to live in Bunbury. It is within walking distance of the forum shopping centre (10 mins) or the CBD (20 mins) The best way to get to Bunbury is by Bus or train and either walk to the house or catch a taxi. Adding a gorgeous Outdoor Room plus access to a private leafy garden are our most recent renovations. The Apartment is spacious and stylish and has a modern look with the lighting, artwork and furnishings. Everything is spotlessly clean. There are ceiling fans throughout (including the Outdoor Room), and never needs air-conditioning because it is so cool with the fans, insulation and cross ventilation. For winter nights there is a natural gas heater that quickly warms the whole Apartment. Quality block out blinds and curtains have been fitted to ensure total privacy. You will walk into a fresh, airy and light open living area. The Lounge/Dining area has a beautiful parquetry floor, comfy leather lounges, a modern dining setting, and room to entertain.     The SpaceOur house is situated on a half acre bush block. Only 5 min drive from the beach, shops, university and hospitals. (Even walking distance from the hospital and tafe/ecu). We have got an native garden and there is bush nearby for walks. When you stay with us you will stay in our unit that we have built on for visitors. It has a relaxed vibe so you can feel at home. This space is separate from the house. It has a built in wardrobe, kitchenette, including a fridge and bathroom. We have put in an air conditioning so that you can be nice and cool on those hot summer days, and nice and cosy on those winter days.There is a sofa for you to relax on. A space right outside where you can sit. If necessary we can put in an extra bed/ cot for a child. Guest AccessThe studio is your own space. The car can be parked on the driveway. You are more then welcome to come to the house when we are home. We like a chat and like get to know our visitors. Feel free to wonder around in the garden. Interaction with GuestsWe are willing to help out where we can. If you'd like to have information about the area, borrow a bike or like to do your washing, for example please let us know. I'm sure that we can accommodate so that you will have the best time while you are staying with us. We leave it up to you how much interaction you would like. The NeighborhoodWe live close to a park which makes for beautiful bush walks (especially in spring with all the flower coming out, and have a look for orchids!) But we are also very close to the beach, shops, uni, hospitals and a short drive from town. This is a very quiet neighborhood. Getting AroundFor you to get around you would probably need a car as shops and hospital are walking distance but there is no bus to get you into town or to the beach. If you'd like you can borrow some bikes. Other Things to NoteWe have got a dog who likes to say hello and wonder around, Sophie is a very friendly dog. We also have got children who like to come and say hello. We have some chickens, so you will have fresh eggs for your breakfast!

      This is a private unit on our property. It is detached from our house. You have got an kitchenette to cook if you would like, a build in ward robe, airconditioning , a bathroom with toilet and shower and an outdoor space to sit and relax. It is situated in a quiet suburb. Only 5 min drive to the beaches, shop and town. FYI We have got pets. A very friendly dog, chickens (for the eggs in the morning)and some rabbits. The dog will come to say hello.

The three double large bedrooms inc. generous built in robes. Full bathroom with separate bath plus an additional toilet and shower with hand rails off the laundry. An inbuilt reverse cycle air conditioner is in the main bed room plus a portable air conditioner for hot summer nights and an efficient gas heater in winter which heats efficiently the living areas. Full Kitchen including oven, grill, microwave, toaster, blender, pantry etc; extensive laundry with large top load washing machine and dryer (plus Hills clothes line). Vintage laundry basket and peg basket too! The house includes everything you need. The total internal area is one level and has no stairs after entering (back and front doors do have a few steps) and hand rails on extra shower and toilet if you have an aged or handicapped family member. Guest AccessYou will have complete access to entire home, back yard, front yard, front verandah with outdoor setting and lock up 2 car garage and very large workshop. Getting AroundThe bus station is within walking distance and the taxi cabs are located in the town centre as well as at the bus station. The train station is a short bus ride away.       The SpaceWe offer 2 ensuite rooms, side by side, in a separate wing of the house offering either a garden or a pool view. These rooms can be provided as 2 doubles or as a twin and a double, so we are a perfect choice for two couples or a family with up to 2 children. Internet access with free WiFi which is unrestricted for Netflix use. Guest rooms each have a 32" smart TV. Mollie is our very friendly and cute English Border Collie who is great with people and children and loves to throw sticks! For wildlife watchers, local kangaroos visit the property and you can see them around the olive grove and sometimes on the lawn during twilight hours. We grow a lot of our own food here in our 2 acre olive grove, stone fruit and citrus orchards and aquaponics set up, some of which ends up in our guests' breakfasts when in season. Many of our guests are interested in self-sufficient living and we are always happy to give our guests a tour of the grounds if they are interested, usually with a seasonal sample or two... with more information on our 'Stratham Retreat' (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) page. Feel free to explore the garden, stretch out in the hammock or with some yoga in the gazebo, swim in the pool or relax on the back veranda. There is a heated outdoor shower for guest use and yoga mats and pool towels are provided for guests on request. Guest AccessBoth our guest rooms are in a separate wing of the house with their own private entrance, so you can come and go as you please, after you check in. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room in the main house. The house operates completely on filtered, UV treated rainwater, so all our tap water in the house tastes great too! Complimentary tea and coffee is provided in the kitchen on your arrival and available throughout your stay. Although we don't provide meals, apart from breakfast, we have a dedicated guest fridge/freezer in the dining room for your use with ice, ice bucket and wine glasses provided on request. We are also happy to advise on some great local places to eat out. We also offer separate storage for your bicycle(s) or set of golf clubs. The NeighborhoodStratham is a tranquil area featuring native bushland and the beautiful coastal views of Geographe Bay from Stratham Beach, where the sunsets are sensational. Just across the highway you can make your way to the vineyards and breweries of the Ferguson Valley. Head south to Margaret River to sample local delicacies, to Busselton to walk the Jetty or just explore the coastline and magic that is the Geographe Bay wine region. For triathletes, we are less than 20km from the Busselton Ironman WA bike course, held annually on the first Sunday of December. There are some fantastic options for cycle routes and run trails locally and the South West Sports Centre is just 5 minutes drive away with a 50m indoor pool, a 25m outdoor pool and a fully equipped gym. For golfers, we are ideally placed next to Capel Golf Club, boasting one of the best set of greens in WA with a very attractive 18 hole course and hundreds of kangaroos lazily grazing on the lush greens and surrounds. Set on relatively flat terrain with grass greens and fairways surrounded by an abundance of tuart, jarrah, banksia and peppermint trees and home to major annual events such as the Capel Open, Summer Cup, Easter Medley, Mineral Sands Cup, Capel Cup and the Capel 3000. Getting AroundWe are ideally located off the main highway between Busselton and Bunbury with ample free parking on the property. A car is highly recommended for getting about, with The South West Sport Centre and Dalyellup Shopping Centre both just 5 minutes drive away. Our local Stratham beach, great for fishing, dog-walking and sunsets, is a 2 minute drive, 25 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride. There is a choice of all the major car rental companies in nearby Bunbury, easily reserved online. Without a car, there is a bus service which runs from Perth Airport to Bunbury town centre and on to Stratham Services (just 2km away from Stratham Retreat) and then Busselton and Dunsborough. We offer a courtesy pick up or drop off service to Bunbury Visitor Centre or Stratham Services, by prior arrangement.       The SpaceOur home is very comfortable, has been very well renovated and in many respects quite romantic. It has reverse cycle air-conditioning for heating and cooling. The garden is our sanctuary with many places we can relax in and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day. We also have a lovely studio in the garden where I spend many hours painting. Guest AccessWe have a private back garden with a lovely pagola area ideal for entertaining and a pond with a few fish. The studio is well set up for any creative activity you may wish to undertake. Vince has a gym set up in his work space and is available for use. Interaction with GuestsWe plan at this stage on visiting the east coast but will leave contact numbers should you need to get in touch. Our lovely neighbours may also be able to assist with emergencies. The NeighborhoodWe have lovely friendly neighbours in a peaceful location. Our location is just off Spencer street where there are a number of facilities including doctors and dentists. We are approximately five minutes from the city centre and can be reached by car, public transport - and even walked in about half an hour. The beach is approximately a fifteen minute walk, and located halfway between our home and the beach is a lovely bird and animal sanctuary. Getting AroundWe have a good public transport system with buses running approximately on the hour and also a taxi service. There also a train service between Bunbury and Perth which runs twice daily. Other Things to NoteBunbury is a very attractive small city located on the coast approximately half way between Perth and Margaret River. An hour and forty five minutes drive will take you to Perth and an hour’s drive to Margaret River. It is known as the city of “three waters”, with the ocean on one side and the estuary on the other. This location is very convenient should you wish to take a drive to Margaret River, Busselton, Dunsborough and Yallingup. The area is known for it’s wineries, art gallery’s and beautiful beaches. Fifteen minutes from Bunbury is the Ferguson Valley, another beautiful location with many wineries, restaurants and artists studio’s. An hours drive will take you to the interesting towns of Balingup, Nannup and Bridgetown. They are lovely quaint towns with cafes, restaurants and art galleries. The drive will take you approximately a hour and well worth the visit. Further south on the coast lies the towns of Pemberton in the heart of the karri forrests, Denmark and Albany, and will take approximately three to four hours. Public transport in Bunbury is good with a bus and taxi services. We also have the Australind Train service between Bunbury and Perth.
