The SpaceThis modern home is on a quiet, secluded block of over 4000sq metres surrounded by Blue Gums, fruit trees and bird life in the beautiful town of Capel. Your room in a separate area of the house comes with a comfortable queen-sized bed, TV with free Foxtel (after January 3, 2017) and your own private bathroom and toilet facilities.
A docking station to charge up those phones and laptops, fragrant handmade soap crafted from natural oils, a hair drier and the use of an iron and ironing board add to this great experience.
The room has an electric blanket for those cool nights and an overhead fan for those warm nights as you lay back enjoying your favourite Foxtel shows or checking your messages via the free WiFi.
A separate leisure area provides comfortable seating, table and chairs, and also for your use, a 400 litre fridge/freezer.
An adjoining room is available at extra cost for up to two children to share a foldout sofa bed.
A continental breakfast is provided daily along with tea and coffee facilities, microwave oven and use of the laundry facilities and electric frying pan.
There is adequate space outside your window to park a caravan if you are on the road and wish to stop over for a day or two. A love of Asian countries has seen us travel 10 times to China and many other times to Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Consequently our home is full of quirky Australiana and Chinese artifacts. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience great accommodation in a well-placed peaceful location. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to stroll around our lovely picturesque property and also use the house laundry and ironing facilities. Interaction with GuestsYou are welcome in our home and either Kathy or Ray will be on site most times to assist with any queries or concerns. Your privacy will be respected and we ask that you also respect this quiet location and the local flora and fauna, although sometimes you may awake to the sounds of the kookaburras and magpies celebrating the beautiful sunrises. The NeighborhoodOur small but vibrant community has an IGA supermarket, tavern with a wonderful menu serving fresh sea food, a pharmacy, service stations, post office, coffee shops, library, take away food outlets and other services. Getting AroundYour own means of transport is highly recommended but there are daily bus services between Capel and major centres in the area. Timetables however may not be suitable as arrival and departure times are more suited to the major centres.
The host is a former advanced police driving instructor and has both current taxi and commercial bus drivers' licences. His services may be available subject to further discussions. Other Things to NoteSmoking is only permitted outside the house and note that we also have a beautiful Golden Retriever and a very timid cat. We do have bee hives on site but in a back section of the property and not a problem unless disturbed.
