The SpaceI am offering a private room in my lovely home in Claremont, an affluent western suburb of Perth. The house is in a great location close to shops and transports. You could walk to Claremont Quarter, a trendy and upscale shopping centre, to enjoy some shopping or a meal (20 minutes walking). The Claremont Swimming Pool is just a short walk from the house if you want to take a dip during the hot summer.The house is also close to Lake Claremont, a beautiful walking park. Perth famous beaches are just within 5-10 minutes drive away. The private room has a queen bed (equipped with aircond/heater/electric blanket) and clean towels will be provided as well. Toilet and bathroom are shared and you will have access to the following amenities: - Washing machine (powder included) and dryers; - Free wifi; - Fully equipped kitchen (but please clean up after use!); and - Living room with TV and VCD player. The guest room is suitable for individual or couple (maximum of 2 people - okay with an additional baby / child). If you have a third or fourth adult, happy to host them in my other guest room (sun room) at an additional charge of $35 per night per person. The only draw back is that the sun room does not have a solid door but separated by a Japanese 'Noren' at the back of the house. If you need pick up from the airport and I am available, this can be arranged for a minimal fee of $50 (to cover the fuel, etc.) . Taxi from the airport to my place is about $50 non peak hours. I live in the house but I am out during weekdays for work. The NeighborhoodClaremont is a wealthy suburb in Perth’s prestigious west. Therefore, this area is safe and central. There are plenty of shops and cafes on the suburb’s streets, and there’s the Claremont Quarter - a two-storey shopping haven offering mostly high-end labels and nice restaurants. Getting AroundThe train station is just 150 metres away - you can be in Perth city in 12 minutes or Fremantle in 16 minutes! You can also hop on the train to go to Subiaco (in 6 minutes) for your shopping or eating out.

The SpaceWe have a detached house with a Tuscan flavour and a lovely gated garden. Your double bedroom is on the first floor. There is sitting room, bathroom, separate toilet and kitchenette. You access the suite via a private entry through a gated, secure garden. It is located within close proximity to Perth's fashion mecca, Claremont Quarter and associated shopping precincts. Claremont is midway between Perth and the port city of Fremantle and situated in the heart of Perth's prestigious Western Suburbs. Public transport (bus and train) is an easy 5 minute walk. Located close by are many popular public amenities including Claremont Pool, Lake Claremont Golf Course, Challenge Stadium and Claremont Showgrounds and more. MAIN BEDROOM: You will find a queen size real bed with a beautiful north-facing view, quality bedding and linen, LCD TV with built-in DVD and clock radio. There is also ample storage in the built-in wardrobe. SITTING ROOM: Reverse cycle aircondioning with a comfortable three-seat sofa facing a second TV. It also includes a KITCHENETTE complete with table for two, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, eating utensils and sink. **For guests staying 10 days or more there is access to hotplate, small oven and cooking utensils. The walls are double brick between the apartments ensuring complete privacy. There are many restaurants and cafes within 200 metres of the apartment in the modern town centre of Claremont if you prefer to eat out. Fast food outlets, large supermarkets and bottle shops are open from early morning until late. It's a short stroll to the Swan River to have a picnic where the first settlers made their encampment on the rivers edge only ~183 years ago. A free museum tells the story of how it all begun. The Perth - Fremantle train line and bus line is within a 2 minute walk. The NeighborhoodWe're in a sought-after area in Perth's western suburbs, between the Swan River and the beaches of the Indian Ocean. Claremont is a lovely residential suburb that is also on the train line, half-way between Perth and Fremantle. Pretty much everything you need is on the doorstep. We are in a wonderful location with the beautiful River foreshore at one end of our street (a 5-minute walk), and restaurants, cafes, excellent shopping and supermarkets in the renowned Claremont Quarter, and public transport in Claremont's town centre also a 5-10 minutes walk away. The range of food styles available includes Italian, Asian, Mexican, Japanese and hamburgers. For a spot of culture, we now also have The Goods Shed, a super gallery that has opened in a converted train shed near the Station. We're also very close to Bethesda Private Hospital. Getting AroundBuses on Stirling Highway and trains from Claremont Station take you to the centre of Perth and the historic port city of Fremantle - and places in between - including Cottesloe Beach, Subiaco, Kings Park and the University of Western Australia. In less than 10 minutes you can be at the Station, where trains to Perth and Fremantle run roughly every 15 minutes (the journey takes approx. 15 mins). It's easy to relax - parks, Lake Claremont and the Swan River foreshore are a very short stroll from our home. A taxi from Perth Airport takes about 45 minutes. Or you can get the 380 bus to Perth City and catch the Fremantle line train to Claremont.     The SpaceHouse is light and casual with jarrah floorboards throughout. The garden is alive with local bird life and sitting under the old oak tree is a lovely way to end the day if you are not watching the sun set at Cottesloe or Swanbourne beach, approx 10 -15 minutes walk away. Guest AccessGuest have their own key and can come and go as they wish. Guests have access to tea and coffee throughout the day / night and are welcome to use the kitchen and laundry. Guest are able to enjoy the house and garden areas. The NeighborhoodSwanbourne is an old establish and tree lined suburb located within walking distance of the beautiful Western Australian coast. At the end of the street is Swanbourne Shopping Village with supermarket, post office, cafes, pizza bar, fish & chip shop, sushi bar, bottle shop, gift& merchant shops and butcher who makes delicious fresh microwavable meals daily. Getting AroundSwanbourne is easily accessible to both Perth city and Fremantle by train (located approx 2 minutes walk) or bus (approx 2 or 5 minutes walk). A separate dining area surrounded by windows, perfect for balmy dinners at home with breeze sweeping through. The Kitchen is large and fully equipped. The NeighborhoodClaremont is right on the edge of the Swan river, and the apartment has river glimpses and in the afternoon you will get a cooling sea breeze sweep through straight from the river. Just a 10 minute walk away is a buzzing shopping/eating/bar precinct surrounding a lovely shopping mall "the Claremont Quarter". The famous beaches of Cottesloe & Swanbourne are only 5 kilometres away. Perth CBD is 12 km away. Claremont is a quiet neighbourhood, surrounded by large beautiful homes, with tree lined streets, cute coffee shops, and if you like a morning or evening stroll the streets are picturesque. Getting AroundOutside the apartment block there is a bus stop, with a main bus route to take you to Perth CBD or to Fremantle. The train station is a 10 minute walk into the heart of Claremont. Other Things to NoteWe love our apartment, and it is in great condition but we are waiting to renovate. We want to be honest in saying there are a few knocks in the walls and the carpets have a few marks but other than that, we will hope you find it very clean and tidy.

There is a small but well equipped kitchenette with a 2 burner cooktop and microwave, and bar fridge, perfect for getting a simple meal together, and there are a few good sized supermarkets within walking distance. Both the bedroom and the lounge/kitchen area have reverse cycle air-con so you will be comfortable all year round. The ensuite is small but all yours too, with a rainfall shower head to wash off the day's adventures. The apartment also has a second small room perfect for stashing bags and other impedimenta. It has an ironing board, and other useful things like an umbrella, broom etc. Guest AccessThe apartment is connected to our house but has it's own entrance via a short flight of stairs. This unfortunately would make it inappropriate for anyone with mobility issues. Interaction with GuestsAs mentioned, the apartment is attached to our house, so we will be coming and going as normal from school and work etc. We will be more than happy to help you in anyway you need while staying with us. As we are at work during the day we will not be able to be there to greet you if your check in time is before 5 p.m. But as access is not an issue you will find it simple to let yourself in and make yourself at home. The NeighborhoodClaremont is an old suburb as far as Perth goes and has a lovely leafy feel, there is plenty of good eating and shopping at a short walk away and the train station too so you can easily do without a car. Getting AroundYou can walk to the train station and the bus stop and we can accommodate a car with off street parking. Other Things to NoteWe have a cat called Basil, he's a Ragdoll and very friendly, it will be easy to keep him out if you wish but don't be surprised if he comes calling, he is a people cat and will want to make himself known. You will probably hear the neighborhood kids calling for him as they walk by the house, it's very cute.

Swanbourne beach is a stones throw away, easily walkable but ample parking if you choose to drive. The beautiful Cottesloe beach is close with lovely restaurants and beach cafes. She is very familiar with Perth as a long time resident so a good resource for your enquiries. The garden is full of Australian natives and potted fruit trees and roses. She knows the University of Western Australia both as a current postgraduate student and lecturer. The house is 5 minute walk from Stirling Highway with many buses running from Perth, Fremantle and UWA there. It is midway between Claremont and Loch St train stations, a 15 minute walk to each station. There is ample shady, unlimited, safe and free street parking outside the house if you come by car. Close to the University of Western Australia - 10 minute bus ride, 15 minute bike ride or 30 minute walk through leafy streets. There is a tv with Apple tv available which gives you all the smart tv functions. Fast internet! At the time of your enquiry, you must tell us your proposed arrival time in Perth so we can discuss check-in arrangements. The accommodation is for TWO PEOPLE MAXIMUM. Light and bright, with a comfortable queen-size bed (with an electric blanket), the bedroom has masses of storage including built-in wardrobes and a large chest of drawers. There is also a ceiling fan (unlikely to be needed in our winter) and a big window with curtain lining that blocks out the daylight. There is no heater or air-conditioner in the bedroom. There are two reverse-cycle electric heaters in the sitting/dining areas and a very effective gas heater in the open-plan dining/kitchen/study space. INCLUDED: - All utilities - WIFI - complimentary cleaning and change of linen every two weeks, if you book for an extended stay. There's a TV/DVD player in the sitting room and a music system with speakers in both living areas. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, two sinks, a dishwasher, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware - everything needed for an extremely comfortable, homely stay. There are three garden areas that you're welcome to sit in, in summer you can enjoy sitting under the vine covered pergola and in winter the sunny front courtyard. We even have an outdoor bath with hot water. If you can bear to leave it is only a ten minute walk to the Claremont Town centre, for shops, restaurants, bars and hotel, and the train to the city or Fremantle (both about 20 mins). We have a cafe a few minutes away at the end of our street, and a 24 hour supermarket close by. There are nice walks (river and lake) and the best heated outdoor swimming pool in Perth within 10 min walk. Cottesloe beach is a 15 min cycle, or 10 minute drive. Parking is available in my carport or on the verge. Guest AccessI work full time, The bathroom is shared but mostly you'll have full use, there is an extra toilet and shower in the laundry.
