The SpaceSUSTAINABLY built air conditioned eco cottage with additional freestanding donga. Total of 4 bedrooms, 3 small bedrooms, all with new carpet, and one large main bedroom with recycled cork flooring. The cabin houses the main bedroom (one queen, one single) as well as the bathroom and one small bedroom. The donga is located behind the cabin so there are a few steps to walk (outdoors) between them. The donga houses the 2 remaining bedrooms (one double, one single) as well as a kitchen/dining/living area. The donga has lots of windows and a great breeze most of the year but currently has no flyscreens due to damage by previous guests so you may get some bugs visiting when you open windows. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, oven, fridge, sink, kettle, toaster, electric frypan etc. There is also a Cafe Italy coffee machine - please bring your own capsules if you wish to use it. Note also that the home has bore water so the kettle builds up with calcium quickly. This is perfectly fine to drink, but may come as a surprise if you are not used to water with heavy minerals. We descale it occasionally but it builds up with every use. The bathroom contains the eco toilet (drop toilet) plus a shower and sink. Due to high calcium and lime content in the water, you may notice scaling on the tiles but rest assured they are wiped and disinfected each time between guests. Beautiful bush views from deck (currently being replaced due to white ant damage) and all round. There is a hot water spa on the deck (please clean out leaves yourself as they reappear within minutes), but if you use it, please be careful on the decking while it is under maintenance. Linens, towels, toilet paper, firelighters, matches, firewood provided. Bring your own personal insect repellant and if you plan to light the log fire, please collect your own kindling. Guest AccessThe property is private and secluded, away from the hustle and bustle and surrounded by beautiful tuart and gum trees and horse paddocks. It is just a short 5min walk to the famous Lake Clifton thrombolites and the Cape Bouvard Winery. Down the coast just a short drive from Mandurah and in the heart of he people region. Interaction with GuestsHelp available at any time during stay (unless we happen to be off on holidays). Extras by arrangement, including horse rides, fresh organic bread delivered in morning. The NeighborhoodThe property is a short 5min walk from the world famous thrombolites in the beautiful Lake Clifton and the Cape Bouvard Winery. In short, you'll need a car! Car rental is available either at Perth Airport or cheaper options in the city or in Mandurah (locally). Other Things to NoteIt is a rural property and accommodation is basic (no luxuries). Due to overwhelming guest demand we have chosen to provide NO television so you can stay in tune with nature. We do offer NBN internet (free of charge) if you can't help yourself! :) Remember this is a rural property - please take responsibility for yourself and your children. We clean the home thoroughly of mice, spiders, dust etc but don't be surprised if you encounter some - it's the country after all! :) You are in the middle of bush and spiders re-surface overnight. The drop toilet is environmentally friendly but that also means at certain times of year you may get the occasional interesting odour. Importantly, the "play equipment" out the front is for decorative purposes only and does NOT meet Australian Standards. No responsibility will be taken for injuries as a result of using it! Decking has white any damage and is due to be replaced - again no access permitted.

Situated 20mins from Pinjarra and 30mins from Mandurah bounded by Forrest and Southwest Highways is this recently renovated 100-year-old Jarrah Cottage. The 132-acre farm hosts a combination of domestic and native flora and fauna. A unique central locations a stones throw away from a popular crabbing spot at Heron Point, Pinjarra Race Club, Pinjarra Trotting club and the festivities Mandurah have to offer. Guest Information Your hosts James & Karen Fuller moved to Ibis Park Farm in October 2012 with our dog Maddy, alpacas and chooks. The farm originally had two Jarrah cottages on the property and our family home. Unfortunately one of the cottages was damaged in a storm and demolished. We currently run 20 breeder Murray Grey cows and 1 bull (Mr McGregor) on the property. There is one station cow (the red cow) on the property her name is Milly. Our Alpaca family is slowly growing. The two brown alpacas are boys their names are Jacoba and Max. Our very cute grey girl is named Aurora. All our alpacas have names – Chanel, Destiny, Madam, Charlotte, Blossom, Zander, Will and Vincent. You will also notice Babe’ the kangaroo. When we moved onto the property she was a joey with her mum and dad. Her mum and dad moved on and Babe became friends with our two brown alpacas. She can be seen on occasion chasing foxes with the alpacas (alpacas are known for their herd protection for sheep at lambing season). They will chase and kill foxes. We also have our Muscovy Ducks who free range around the farm during the day. Our chooks and roosters can also be seen around the farm as well.

The modern three bedroom, one bathroom cottage is a little over 1 hour's drive south from Perth, en route to the wineries, restaurants, caves, arts and craft, surf spots and forests of south-west Western Australia. Located on the sea side of the narrow strip of land between the Indian Ocean and the Peel Estuary, the cottage is screened from the street by a bush garden which attracts wildlife, such as the shy Western Ringneck '28' parrot, bush pigeons, bob-tail goannas and brush tail possums. The cottage accommodates a maximum of 4 adults, or 6 persons including children. It has two queen beds and two double bunk beds suitable for children. Kitchen, dining and living areas are open plan. The kitchen has a cook top, oven, refrigerator and dish washer. There is a bathroom with shower and a small laundry area with a washing machine. Linen and towels are provided. The driveway is shared with a property at the rear. GREAT LOCATION Melros' popular surfing and protected beaches are about 10 minutes' walk from the house (500m by road from the nearest street corner to the sand dunes). The beach is known for body boarding, kayaking, kite surfing in the strong afternoon breezes, beach fishing, and surfing when the swell is right. The white sandy beach offers long walks north and south. An asphalt path, which has been constructed through the sand dunes southward to Tim's Thicket fishing and 4WD beach, has lookouts for views of the coast. In the evening, kangaroos from nearby bushland graze on the lawns of houses, congregate at Melros 'Roo' Reserve near the beach, and bound through the streets and sand dunes. Take care when driving! The bush provides opportunities for walks and viewing the local wild flowers in spring. The area is also suitable for cycling. The Peel Estuary and the Dawesville channel which offer fishing, crabbing and water sports are approximately 10 minutes' drive away. Boat ramps which do not require a 4WD are found on the estuary side. The Dawesville channel enables convenient access to the ocean from the estuary. The challenging 'The Cut' international standard golf course is about 10 minutes drive away. Halls Head and Meadowsprings golf courses are further north. There are a number of cafes and restaurants in the area. Fifteen minutes away at the Miami Shopping centre is the award winning Miami Bakehouse. There is also the refurbished popular Cobblers restaurant. Friar Tucks on Rees Place is family friendly while a more upmarket eating place, with a great outside eating area where boats can pull up, is Cafe Coast at the Bouvard marina. Day trips to attractions in the Geographe Bay and Margaret River region can be made from the house. A vehicle is recommended for exploring. However, there is a bus service during the day which goes from near the house to Mandurah city and the train station. There is a frequent train service to and from Perth. PET FRIENDLY AND GOOD VALUE The house has a securely fenced yard and there are lots of interesting walks in the area for dogs and their humans. The beach, which is a short walk away, has areas where dogs can run free. All other pets are welcome, except for cats because of the wildlife - sorry cat owners.
