The Peel Zoo is a quiet 20 minutes country drive away. There are some great swimming beaches within minutes and excellent wineries in the area including Millbrook and Cape Bouvard Wines, all with cellar door facilities. Mandurah itself offers many family activities throughout the year Crabfest, The Boat Show, Mandurahs' Performing arts centre offers many live shows from various artists. All of these activities and events are within a 10 min stroll from Mandurah on the Terrace. Getting AroundA 45minute train ride from Perth CBD will see you at Mandurah Train Station... Mandurah on the Terrace is a short 5 minute taxi ride from the Train Station. Mandurah itself is serviced by TransPerth Public transport although everything that you could want to see, visit is a short walk away.

The NeighborhoodThere is a shopping centre is across the road, a hotel next door, and the city centre is a leisurly 20 minutes walk away. The beach is but 500 metres away, and the in house facilities will keep you as busy as you feel to be. Getting AroundPublic transport is available, however walking or bikes are the way to go - unless you intend to venture further afield to the wineries or to the scenic WA bush or river areas which are nearby

The SpaceOn the banks of the Murray River, Possum Palace is a delightful little traditional 3 bedroom Aussie holiday cottage. Close to all amenities and good places to eat, the house is air conditioned and fully equipped, it has everything you need for a relaxing holiday with friends or family. Guest Accessit's the perfect location for summertime fun and relaxation. You can chill out, have a barbeque, swim from your own beach and catch crabs from your own river jetty. Bring your boat or hire one locally. We can give you local contacts for boats if you want to hire. Interaction with GuestsYou will have the whole house to yourselves but we are only a phone call away if you need us. We don't have internet but local internet is available close by or you can get a sim card. The NeighborhoodThere are lovely riverfront walks and the native birdlife is amazing. Expect to share your breakfast with our friendly magpies! We also have dolphins regularly swimming by the jetty and of course Pandora the Possum and Lizzy Lizard will also come and say hello. Getting AroundThere is some public transport but a car is a really good idea for getting around locally. On the freeway from Perth it's only one hour door to door. You can also leave your car at the railway station and catch a train it's only 40 minutes to the Perth CBD. There are good minibus services which can take you from your door to the airport and return. South Yunderup is also a good starting point for a tour of the southern Margaret River region. Other Things to NoteWe do not supply linen however if you are travelling from interstate or overseas we can probably arrange to help you out with some. There are plenty of pillows and each bed has a doona but you will need to bring your own sheets and towels. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are two fridges and also a barbeque. There are flyscreens on all the doors and windows. We do have a special booking price for the Easter break. The booking is for a flat rate of $1000.00 AUD and you can stay for any number of nights up to 6, between and including the Thursday before to the Tuesday after Easter. We also offer a discount on the weekly rate but not during our high season bookings.
