The first bedroom has a comfy new Queen bed with chest of draws & wardrobe. The second bedroom has a comfy King Single bed, antique desk, wardrobe & piano you are welcome to use. The lounge room has couches to fit 4 people, bookcases full of books, a working fireplace, big TV/DVD player, bluetooth stereo & traditional CD player. The kitchen is modern and fully fitted with appliances/plates/teatowels ie everything you'll need. The bathroom is modern with toilet, shower (large strong shower rose) & basin - all enclosed behind a 'secret' door! All linen/towels provided. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small kitchen table set for 3 people. Lastly, the back courtyard is a tranquil green space with table and chairs and a little outside laundry with a washing machine and tumble dryer for your use. Hyde Park (with great kids playground) and Beatty Park Pools/Gym are walking distance, while Kings Park and Cottesloe Beach are an easy bus/train ride away. You won't believe how quiet and cosy you feel, despite being on the city's doorstep with Northbridge nightlife, City entertainment and Leederville cafes all walking distance (within 1km). Some Perth attractions you might enjoy: Swan bell tower, ferry ride to Perth Zoo, Kings Park, a show at Heath Ledger Theatre or Perth Arena, art gallery or museum in town, bike ride around Swan River, swim at Cottesloe beach, fresh produce/wine tasting tour in Swan Valley, day trip to Rotnest Island to pat cute native quokas... just as starters :) Getting AroundPerth city is an easy 1Km walk, or a free bus ride away - with shopping, art gallery, museums, restaurants, main train station, theatres, Perth Arena etc. To get to the free bus, you turn left at the end of our street then right onto Fitzgersld St and catch literally any bus - which all take you to the main bus station in 2min. There are also free inner city (CAT) buses to take you to other areas of Perth city. If you prefer to drive, there is an on-street park at the front of our cottage, however our street has a 1hr parking limit except with a visitor permit, which we can arrange for you on request.

          The SpaceWe've been here for 10 years and never want to leave! Our space is open plan and filled with art we've collected from local and international artists over the years. There are 4 beds, - a Queen bed - a double pull-out sofa bed in the lounge room (downstairs) - a single bed foam mattress in the study (on the floor) Two full bathrooms. Wifi internet. Full kitchen (no microwave) with dishwasher. Washing machine and dryer. House is fully installed with reverse cycle air-conditioning. Northbridge gets busy on weekend nights, and the park does get a bit noisy. Not recommended for ultra light sleepers. Treat the house as it were your own but please respect our stuff. Use what you need from the pantry but please replace anything you use alot of. No lift access to apartment. No tv. Guest AccessParking in the complex garage is available, for one car. Not to mention 10 minutes walk to The Perth Cultural Centre which hosts the Art Gallery of WA, Perth Institute of Contemporary Art, The State Theatre of WA, the WA Museum and the State Library of WA. 2 minutes walk from James street, the nightclub and restaurant strip. 5 minute walk to the Perth Arena, 20 minute walk to the Perth Convention Centre (or catch the free CAT bus there in 25 mins).             North Lodge offers safe, quality and quiet budget accommodation. We are a small hostel with a quiet, restful atmosphere for travellers. We are not a party hostel. North Lodge is situated about 5 - 10 minutes walk from the center of Perth City and is close to all of the major public transport facilities. We have a range of different types of rooms from dormitory accommodation, double and single rooms to apartments with ensuite facilities. The usual configuration of our self-contained apartment rooms is one double bed and 1 or more single beds, so some are able to cater for up to 4 people. Most of our self-contained rooms that have ensuite facilities also have a microwave, TV, toaster, kettle and small fridge. Communal cooking facilities are available in the hostel kitchen for more substantial cooking needs. North Lodge is situated very close to the Northbridge area of Perth, which is the nightlife/entertainment area with lots of restaurants, nightclubs and coffee bars etc. Entertainment and meals of all types are mostly available 24 hrs in Northbridge. North Lodge has a quiet, friendly environment in a character building.             The SpaceLuxurious, spacious, clean and private. Beautiful polished Jarrah floorboards, reverse cycle A/C, comfortable and complete. There is a lock up car park included if you need it. We recently added a surprisingly comfortable sofa bed to the living area, so now 6 adults can easily be accommodated. It is the most comfortable sofa bed I could find, and is actually nice to sleep on. Only a short walk away from any conveniences you need, from the Perth Arena, dry cleaner, supermarket, post office, even a 24 hour restaurant all within a 1-5 minute walk. Everything the City of Perth has to offer is literally right at your fingertips. A Hertz Rent A Car Depot is almost directly across the road on Murray St. So you can save the hassle of getting a hire car from the airport, and just get a taxi here all relaxed, then worry about driving in a new city after you've freshened up and settled in. There's a Taxi stand nearby as well (within 5mins), however I can usually flag one down within a minute of walking out the front door. The Perth Underground train station and Murray St Mall is only a 6 min walk, while the Convention centre and bus port is about a 7 minute walk, or you could catch the free buses around to either of them. Other Things to NotePerth Arena is where Perth gets most of the international acts, and is virtually next door. Also nearby, is His Majesty's Theatre, The Heath Ledger (State ) Theatre, The Perth Concert Hall and The Perth Convention Centre.             The SpaceMy timber cottage is quiet, clean and fresh, with polished floor boards and reverse-cycle ducted air-conditioning (not in kitchen) so never too hot or too cold. The kitchen has the usual requirements - pots, plates, cutlery, coffee machine for that morning fix, microwave, sandwich maker etc. if you wish to cook at home. The bathroom is small but functional - 2nd toilet out the back. Towels and linen available. Myrtle Street is a cul-de-sac with a community atmosphere ; the only traffic in the street is the neighbours - extremely quiet and private. You can relax in the back yard, sit on the front porch or enjoy a cosy night in front of the TV. Or head out and take a walk into town - just a 20 min walk to the city centre. 15mins to Beaufort St Cafes and boutique stores and 10min to the rapidly growing, funky William St with its small designer shops, small bars and music scene. Also, Leederville cafe strip, Luna Cinema, Northbridge restaurants, nightspots and Chinatown are also a short walk away. 5 min walk to Hyde Park and 2 mins to Robertson Park and tennis courts. Of course, if you have a car, these times are greatly reduced. A visitor parking permit is available - please remember to put it back as it is the only one I have Close to public transport buses into city and free Cat bus system My house is a private get away if you want a "home" rather than a "hotel" for your vacation. My style is a bit quirky and "different" and I have my "found objects" artworks on the walls.

Just 4km from Perth CBD, South Perth foreshore boasts many cafes and restaurants and the best night view of Perth. A short drive or walk away (650m) is Mends Street with cafes, restaurants, supermarket, banks, speciality shops and plenty of takeaway options. Angelo St (2km) just past the zoo also has a number of eateries and shopping options. Attractions close by include the Perth Zoo (10min walk), Kings Park (5min drive), Old Mill Theatre, The Old Mill and Royal Perth Golf Club. Just a short Ferry ride (10min) over to the City is Elizabeth Quay, Barrack St Jetty and the Bell Tower. The Sir James Mitchell Park is a stretch of parklands along the foreshore. FREE CAT BUSES - Transperth's CAT buses offer you a free, fast and convenient means of travelling around the Perth CBD. There are 4 city CAT buses travelling around the CBD, Northbridge, Leederville, East Perth and West Perth every 8-15mins. You can catch a free CAT bus from Elizabeth Quay Bus Station or Barrack St Jetty. FERRY - A small ferry runs from Mends St Jetty on the South Perth Foreshore to Elizabeth Quay Jetty in the city; approx 7min walk to Jetty and 10min ferry ride. From Elizabeth Quay Jetty and/or Barrack St Jetty you can walk to the CBD, catch a free CAT bus, City Sightseeing bus, Rottnest Island Ferry or Swan River Cruise. TRAIN - There is no train station in South Perth, but close by at Elizabeth Quay Train Station. There's also the main Perth Station on Wellington St and the Perth Underground on Murray St in the city centre. CYCLE - Perth has fantastic cycleways including around the Swan River in South Perth which make it easy and fun to explore our great city. Gecko Bike Hire is located a 5min walk from the apartment. WALK - if feeling energetic you can walk approx 2.4km (30mins) over the Narrows Bridge to the city. Kings Park is a lovely walk, approx 2km (30mins) walk from the apartment. The foreshore is only 5mins walk from the apartment and has walking/cycling pathways, playgrounds and views of Perth City. TAXI - The main taxi companies in Perth are Swan Taxi's and London Cabs. UBER - Uber is now in Perth, and offer a cheaper alternative to taxis. AIRPORT TAXI - T1 & T2 is 20km, about 30min and costs approx. A$40.00. - T3 & T4 is 15km, about 20min and costs approx. A$30.00. AIRPORT BUS - There are public buses from Perth Airports to the Elizabeth Quay Bus Station (approx 40-60min trip) - You would then catch another bus or ferry to South Perth. You can find more information on the Perth Airport website or ask your host for more details. CAR HIRE - We recommend hiring a car for trips to Perth, it is a sprawling city with lots of great places to visit on the outskirts of town (i.e. the Swan Valley), and public transport is not as flexible. The Domestic and International Airports both offer all the usual car rentals companies (Redspot, Thrifty, Budget etc), and this saves the taxi costs to and from the apartment. We recommend Bayswater Car Rental, it is well priced and offers an private shuttle transfer to and from their Bayswater Office. Other Things to NoteThe apartment is on the second floor, accessible by external stairs, there are no lifts in the building. Please note bedroom 2 is a small loft (attic) room and reached by a pull-down ladder from the lounge room. This room has an evaporative air cooler for summer months but does not have air conditioning - and does get warm in summer months. Attic & ladder not suitable for young children. The lounge room sofa also converts into a comfortable bed if required.

A magnificent red Italian Murano glass chandelier is the focus of the Living area, setting the most ideal lighting for any occasion. The Living room has a beautiful modern white leather L-shaped lounge, a flat screen Smart TV (With Netflix & Stan) and DVD player. The Dining area has a modern glass dining table that comfortably seats 6 with contemporary black leather chairs.
