    LIMIN'HOUSE is a luxury rental Caribbean villa located on the lush West End of Tortola, in the BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS. The villa sits on a hillside, overlooking SOPER'S HOLE and MARINA set amidst jasmine and bougainvillea. Upon entering you will pass through grand wooden doors set in a stone arch reminiscent of Caribbean ruins, then on through a canopy of palms and into a new tranquility. Revive your body and soul beneath the cascading waters of the outdoor stone showers and gaze at the Milky Way or the lights of the yachts in the bay below. Lounge in the pool sipping tropical drinks while listening to music from the LIMIN' HOUSE eclectic collection of jazz, reggae, blues, world, rock or classical. With meals prepared in the carefully appointed kitchen or on the gas barbecue, you can dine on the covered verandah and view the sparkling lights of St. Thomas in the distance. There are 4 Suites "Villa Style" at a time, (this booking is for only 4 suites, 8 people meaximum). Each individual suite includes an either an indoor and/or outdoor shower, outdoor setting, High Definition LCD Television and DVD/CD player, fan and air conditioning.       The SpaceThis comfortable home is named 'Pelican Peak' and it is has been our family dream home for many years. A five-minute rural winding road with some radical switchbacks brings you up to the house, situated on the top of a mountain overlooking Little Apple Bay at the western part of the small island of Tortola. The property consists of two houses; the main house and a guest house. Together they can accommodate a total of 8 people (six adults and two children). The house is equipped with every amenity you need to make your stay perfect. The land covers one acre and will guarantee you privacy and peace. The property is fenced, and there is a gate that leads to a gravel driveway covered on one side in bougainvillea where you without difficulty can park three cars. The garden around the villa is beautifully landscaped; you will find all sorts of pretty Caribbean flowers and fruit like bananas, limes, star fruit, sugar apples, and pineapples. The house is only suitable for children that can swim; in the guest house is a bunk bed and upstairs in the main house is a lovely bedroom. On request, we can leave some toys, etc. In the garden you find a swing and around the house is plenty of grass, space and shade. We have two very sweet cats named Habibi and Lucy, who live outside. They are our two full-time staff members who are there to keep mouse etc. far away from our lovely home. Villa Layout: The main villa has two bedrooms; a master bedroom with a king bed downstairs and a second big bedroom with two queen beds upstairs. The master bedroom has an attached outside bathroom with impressive views of many surrounding islands and the azure Caribbean waters. An authentic spiral staircase leads up to the second bedroom which has a dark wooden floor, high ceiling and is attractively decorated. The views from this bedroom are stunning, overlooking the Jost Van Dyke channel, which is dotted with small islands such as Green Cay, Sandy Spit, and Sandy Cay. Note: The bathroom for this bedroom is at the bottom of the stairs. All bedrooms have air conditioning which is much appreciated in summer months. The living room and kitchen are fully open (but screened) to the veranda, usually cooled by a lovely trade wind. The master bedroom and the living room/open kitchen have large wooden doors that open up the whole wall onto a verandah where you find a second living area with a dining table that seats up to eight people and a relaxing sitting area. Because most of the living room/kitchen is open to the deck, the verandah, and main house feel like one space. The guest house is separated from the main house by a swimming pool and lawn. The guest house can sleep, four people. There is a king bed and bunk beds. The bunk beds are not in a separate room but in a divided area, so we would suggest these beds are only used for children. Also, the guest house has large wooden doors that open completely from floor to the ceiling, so while reading a book on the king bed, you enjoy the beautiful sunsets that you can expect to see here every day. Guest AccessThere is a beautiful big pool (22ftX15ft) to cool you during the daytime or in the evening under the stars. Lynn will show you the home and can provide you with island information you may need for your holiday. She can tell you where the best beaches are or provide you with tips about boating, restaurants, hiking, how to visits the surrounding islands or where to find hidden beaches. The NeighborhoodThe garden around the villa is beautifully landscaped; you will find all sorts of pretty Caribbean flowers and fruit like bananas, limes, starfruit, sugar apples and pineapples. Getting AroundThe home is situated on top of a hill overlooking St. John, St. Thomas and Jost Van Dyke island, from this home you always need a car to get to the main road. Car rental here on island is easy, prices vary little between $70 up to $85 for bigger car. We would advice to rent a 4X4 you need this car to get to the house during rain, also the roads on Tortola are not always in a good condition. A good car is nice specially when you want to explore the island and some of the hidden beaches. Other Things to NoteFrom anywhere within the main villa, the guest house, outside on the deck, swimming in the pool, relaxing on the daybed or sitting elsewhere in the garden you will be able to see far and wide across the Caribbean sea while you are listening to the waves breaking on Little Apple Bay’s beach.

The moment you step through Cielo’s gate, you will understand why this villa is named for the Spanish word meaning ‘Heaven’ – it is absolute paradise! Cielo is comprised of 7 open air pavilions, tiled pathways, gardens, terraces, decks and balconies, positioned around a peaceful and spacious pool patio. The entire front side of the villa offers you unadulterated ocean views, overlooking Cane Garden Bay with St. John as a backdrop. There are no photos that can do these views justice, or capture the relaxed and magical vibe you will feel when experiencing them for yourself. Everything you do at this house is done poolside, and you can see the breathtaking ocean and mountain views from every vantage point. Stress is just about the only thing you can’t find at Cielo – the sun melts worries away during the day, and evenings are magically relaxing with the glow of the lamps and pool lights taking a backseat to the billions of visible stars against the black sky. It has a hidden terrace located at the top of curved stone stairs from the pool patio, and a secluded outdoor shower. The ocean view from the terrace is stunning, but the shower is a special feature like nothing you’ve ever seen. Cane Garden Bay is only a 5 minute drive down the hill. It is a lovely beach with quite a few charming restaurants for lunches, dinners, and happy hours, as well as live music 7 nights a week. It also has a small grocery store, local bakery, gift shops, and outdoor local craft stalls, as well as a gas station and charter boat dock for day trips to our other islands. Getting AroundRoad Town, with its large grocery stores, shops, and ferry dock is less than a 15 minute ride from the house. Road Town also boasts many marinas, interesting restaurants, and nightlife. Many of Tortola’s most romantic and picturesque restaurants are within 15 minutes from the villa. Our favorite taxi drivers from nearby Cane Garden Bay are happy to drive our guests to and from their restaurants of choice. Most of our guests rent small cars and go out each day to explore the beaches and shops and fun things-- it is easy to drive on Tortola and we are very close to everything, yet private up on the hill... The rental enjoys sweeping ocean vistas, breath-taking sunsets and captivating ever changing views of the sea and islands beyond. It is on an elevation of 450 feet and is located in Romney Park. The road up to the property is a little steep, but it takes just a few trips up and down to get used to it and that's why we have such a wonderful view! The rental is minutes from the West End Ferry Terminal with connections to the US Virgin Islands and Jost Van Dyke. Nearby restaurants include BananaKeet Café, The Sugar Mill, Long Bay Beachfront Restaurant, D' Coalpot and Frenchmans, to name just a few. There is a watersports centre, dive shop and spa at Soper's Hole, as well as additional services at Nanny Cay Marina about 10 minutes away.       Nestled on Soldier Hill above Cane Garden Bay, Makere House and Cottage enjoy breathtaking views over the beach, surrounding islands and Caribbean Sea. With gentle breezes, tropical shaded gardens and a private 20-foot swimming pool, Makere House and Cottage represent the ideal retreat for two couples, or a family with older children, who want to vacation together but still have privacy and the space needed in which to relax, unwind and have fun. The villas have been built in the ‘Caribbean Style’ with wooden decks, blue shutter windows, white walls and terracotta-tiled floors creating a clean and simple environment. Both are very spacious containing a master bedroom with king-size bed, bathroom, living room, fully equipped kitchens and covered decks. Makere House is on the upper arrival level at the end of a short gated drive with ample parking for two cars. Makere Cottage, the swimming pool and sun terrace are on the lower level accessed by a short flight of lit steps through the banana trees. The signature feature of Makere House is its 12-foot wide wrap around covered deck and stunning views along the north coast of Tortola and across the sea to the US Virgin Islands of St John and St Thomas in the distance. The centre of the house is the open kitchen and living room, connected by a breakfast bar, providing the perfect environment in which to talk and relax together. The living room has a pull out sofa bed if required. The master bedroom opens onto the deck and has a king-size bed, its own en-suite bathroom and plenty of built-in closet space. Makere Cottage is just as spacious. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, day bed and plenty of closet space. The living room can be converted to a second bedroom with pull out sofa bed for a couple or two single beds for children. Both the bedroom and living room adjoin a 10-foot covered deck. The kitchen is fully stocked with all modern requirements and there is a large private bathroom. The swimming pool and sun terrace are on the same level as the cottage offering a welcome escape from the Caribbean heat and a lovely focal point for both villas. The sun terrace provides a spacious area for both sunbathing, barbequing and al fresco dining around the pool. You will need to hire a 4-wheel drive vehicle on arrival in Tortola. We can advise you on your travel arrangements, help you find the right car rental company and arrange for you to be met, either at the ferry terminal or airport, and escorted to the property. When you arrive at Makere you will be met by the property manager, who is also a neighbor, and provided with keys and a quick orientation before being left in peace to enjoy your vacation. If one pictures the island of Tortola as a cute Gecko lizard, some of the directions for driving make more sense: West End ferry dock is at the head of the Gecko and the airport is at the tail. Ridge Road (Sage Mountain) is the backbone. All the beaches are located on the north side of the body (our side), and the Sir Francis Drake Channel is located along the South side of the body. There is a major road that runs all along the perimeter of the Gecko's body, and a few other major roads run up to the backbone (Ridge Road) and down to the other side. Road Town is located on the south side of the Gecko's belly, and Cane Garden Bay (with Cielo Villa) is located on the north side of the Gecko's belly, where all the beaches and small visitor friendly establishments are located. One can drive the entire length (tip of the nose to tip of the tail) of the Gecko in one hour, and from one side of the body to the other in 15 minutes. An island drive is a truly lovely experience as all turns in the road offer a new, breathtaking view. As private as Cielo is, we are easily found at the end of a simple road that is connected to the major road that runs up the hill from Cane Garden Bay. The West End of Tortola is a hidden gem and the Villa Del Mar is hiking distance to Soper's Hole as well if you are up for a hike down the steep hills that provide the spectacular views. They have stayed with us at Villa Del Mar on a few different occasions and they were both wonderful guests. There was a lot that we all have in common, from the Sailing Community, the north east and traveling. We had trouble getting our rental car when we got there and Diane was a huge help, driving us to dinner the first night, breakfast in the morning and then to get our car! The whole island and villa felt extremely safe and we would love to stay there again. We debated renting a car after we had trouble, and after we got we we cannot recommend renting a car enough. After the first day we felt like we knew our way around the island for the most part! Overall, incredible experience at the villas, with Diane, and with the island. LOVED our time there and were already talking about coming back before we left! I spent 3 wonderful days there and didn't leave because it was perfect . The rooms are elegant and have private bathrooms and outdoor showers. I rented the Sky room that looked over the pool and had a deck with view of the ocean, breakfast included. You could also rent the whole villa, which would be great for a family or group of friends, I hope to do that some day. There are lounge chairs by the pool to read, nap or enjoy the view. Diane was a fantastic host and wonderful person. She is really friendly and helpful and available to answer questions or give advice on where to go. Definitely gets the highest rating possible. The place itself is quite nice and private which we preferred. The grounds were fenced in so you don't get to walk around the full 9 acres - an activity a city girl like me was hoping to do. The home is in the middle of the two forks. It can take about 30 minutes to get to either fork's end. Once we reached their home, Vic was there to welcome us at the entrance which we thought was a very nice touch. The place itself was absolutely gorgeous - so much greenery and so tastefully done with a pool, tennis courts, fish ponds, etc - perfect retreat away from Manhattan! The room we rented was well equipped with relatively new fixtures and fittings. They were thoughtful enough to leave us a bottle of rose for when we arrived and breakfast items for the next morning.               This comfortable villa has been our family dream for many years. Prices are base rates for 1-2 guests, excluding 7% gov. tax and are always negotiable depending on the season, the number of guests and length of stay. Please contact us for a quotation. A five-minute rural winding road with some radical switchbacks brings you up to the house, situated on the top of a mountain overlooking Little Apple Bay at the western part of the small island of Tortola. The property consists of two houses; the main house and a guest house. Together they can accommodate a total of 8 people. The house is equipped with every amenity you need to make your stay perfect. The land covers one acre and will guarantee you privacy and peace. There is a beautiful big pool (22ftX15ft) to cool you during the daytime or in the evening under the stars. The property is fenced, and there is a gate that leads to a gravel driveway covered on one side in bougainvillea where you without difficulty can park three cars. The garden around the villa is beautifully landscaped; you will find all sorts of lovely Caribbean flowers and fruit like bananas, limes, star fruit, sugar apples, and pineapples. The house is only suitable for children that can swim; in the guest house is a bunk bed and upstairs in the main house is a lovely bedroom. On request, we can leave some toys, etc. In the garden you find a swing and around the house is plenty of grass, space and shade. We have two very sweet cats named Habibi and Lucy, who live outside. They are our two full-time staff members who are there to keep mouse etc. far away from our lovely home. Villa Layout: The main villa has two bedrooms; a master bedroom with a king bed downstairs and upstairs a second big bedroom with two queens and one single bed. All bedrooms have air conditioning which is much appreciated in summer months. The living room and kitchen are fully open (screened) to the veranda deck, there is a lovely tradewinds to cool them. The master bedroom and the living room/ open kitchen have large wooden doors that open up the whole wall onto a verandah deck where you find a second living area with a dining table (8 people), hammock and relaxing sitting area. Because two third of the living room/kitchen is open to the deck, you will find that the verandah and main house feel like one space. The guest house is separated from the main house by a nice pool and lawn. The guest house can sleep, four people. There are a big king bed and a bunk bed for two children/adults. Also, this guest house has large wooden doors that completely open from floor to the roof so while reading a book on the double bed you still enjoy fully the beautiful sunsets that you can expect to see here every day. From anywhere within the main villa, the guest house, outside on the deck, swimming in the pool, relaxing on the daybed or sitting elsewhere in the garden you will be able to see far and wide across the Caribbean sea while you are listening to the waves breaking on Little Apple Bay’s beach. Long bay and Smugglers are the best beaches in Tortola and both in West-End and very close to the home. Long Bay is stunning white sand beach and you can see the beach from the home.                 Makere Cottage is nestled on Soldier Hill with gentle breezes and breathtaking views over Cane Garden Bay, surrounding islands and the Caribbean Sea. You will need to hire a 4-wheel drive vehicle on arrival in Tortola. We can advise you on your travel arrangements, help you find the right car rental company and arrange for you to be met, either at the ferry terminal or airport, and escorted to the property. When you arrive at Makere you will be met by the property manager, who is also a neighbor, and provided with keys and a quick orientation before being left in peace to enjoy your vacation. With its central location Makere Cottage is an ideal setting from which to explore the island. Tortola is best known for its secluded beaches with their gentle surf, golden sands and tall overhanging palm trees. The beaches of Cane Garden Bay and Brewers Bay are both a short 5-minute drive away down opposite sides of Soldier Hill. They contrast each other perfectly. Cane Garden Bay offers lively bars and restaurants whilst Brewers Bay is peaceful and quiet with superb swimming and snorkelling.                     We have just totally renovated the upper floor of our house that overlooks the bay. It is just a couple minute walk to the restaurants and shops at the beach. We now have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with large living room and full kitchen. The suite can accommodate from 2 to 9 guests and we price according to number and mix of guests as well as time and length of stay. If you have a larger group, please contact us for similiar accommodations that are close by. The floors are totally separate and private. The house is set into the hill and the cottage has parking on one side with one step into the front room and a balcony on the other side that overlooks the bay. One bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bdrm has 2 queen beds. There is a queen futon and a couch in the living room. High speed wi-fi is provided. Satellite tv in all rooms with a zillion channels. The flat is stunning with beautiful new tile flooring, hardwood cabinets, granite countertops, stainless full size refrigerator with icemaker and dishwasher. Bedrooms are private and each have their own bathroom that has new shower/tub, sink and toilet with plenty of space to set your washing up kit. The bedrooms have new split air conditioning units and all the rooms have ceiling fans. Everything has bee redone from the walls to the windows. For a small additional charge we will make available the attached laundry room that is equipped with new washer and dryer. The front room is large and spacious, fit for a crew briefing. You can step out onto the balcony and watch the sun slowly rise over the hill to wake the yachts that were lucky enough to get one of about 20 moorings in the bay the night before, or watch the sunset as mast lights start to twinkle like the stars in the night sky. A couple minute stroll directly directly down the road from the house and you are at the beach. Bobby's grocery is right there for provisioning and across the street is the world famous Quito's restaurant and tavern, Rhymer's (the Pink Palace) and Myett's Bar and restaurant is also less than a block away. There are several shops, restaurants and bar's along the beach front. You can rent snorkel gear and check out the sunken boat by the docks or check out the reef at the mouth of the bay. Paddle boards and kayaks are also available. Callwood's Rum Distillery is just a couple blocks away and should not be missed when there. There is always something going on in the evening from Quito himself and his band playing, the fantastic beach BBQ at the Elm Beach Restaurant or the great food and deck at Myett's and of course cold Carib beer or a Pain Killer for those who need one (or two). Great breakfast spots and most of all, friendly people who care. We can arrange transportation, site seeing trips, day car rentals, you name it, we can arrange it. Cane Garden Bay is considered one of the prettiest white sand beaches on the sunset side of the island of Tortola. It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from Road Town or West End Ferry and in a perfect spot to head in either direction to explore the island of Tortola. The apartment is separate and private and has a large sitting room and balcony. Family owned since 1971. Guest AccessThis oceanfront beach house is located right on one of the world's most famous white-sand beaches -- literally steps from the water. Trust the pictures :-). Steps built into the sea wall lead right to the beach (which can occasionally be rocky, at which time you can walk a few hundred feet down the road to beach access). Swim, snorkel, and sunbathe in front of the house. Sail, paddle board, and kayak down the bay. Walk to restaurants, beach bars, and entertainment. Cane Garden Bay can be lively or laid back. It's at the far end of a white sand, half-moon beach with most restaurants and beach bars at the far end, though one establishment is about 50 yards away. This bar/restaurant has typically been open just for lunch and at times can play loud music on weekends and holidays, but is mostly quiet and laid back. Private parking driveway has easy access off street, unlike many BVI houses located on challenging roads. Front saltillo-tiled patio runs the entire length of the house with 4 lounge chairs and large dining table, as well as a “secret" reading area right at the end of the deck. Incredible views from a balcony on front of the upstairs level house. Another small patio and BBQ on the driveway side of the house set in a tropical garden environment. Villa has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, completely new bathrooms, travertine tile floors, new windows, new split air conditioning units in bedrooms, fans in all rooms, great balcony, large family room, high speed internet & wifi, satellite and TVs in all rooms, washer and dryer (we ask for a donation for dryer use due to energy consumption please), 260 steps to beach (I counted em). It is uphill, I have to rest a time or two but we've only had one guest that struggled with the incline. Nice thing is it's only a couple minute walk to or from the beach so no car needed. The location is fantastic, enjoy sunsets from the balcony or the shower or from the decks of 6 great taverns just nearby on the beach. The NeighborhoodThe village of Cane Garden Bay even has Callwood's Rum Distillery hidden back in some of the old cane that used to be grown on the island. They are cousin's of the Callwood's whose villa you will be staying at. The island of Tortola is about family, is about doing the right thing, is about being good and doing good. Getting AroundCall Jason 2 on 8 his 4 cell 5 phone 4 to 3 schedule 7 shuttle 4 service 6 with 6 his van. This is what they had to do during WWII to get information through the lines, like a secret code, cripes. Contacting him in advance is best, he has a schedule book. He can also arrange to have a rental car dropped off at the villa for a day or two if you want to explore the island, that way you don't have to rent a car the whole time you are on island. Hey, you're on holiday, sit back and look out the window, take pause. Jason and his brother are a storehouse of local and historical information and it's fun to hear their stories. Other Things to NoteCane Garden Bay has a wonderful small village feel. There are a half dozen restaurants, taverns, a rental shop that has paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel equipment, you name it even float mats, nice. Breakfast at Myett's, happy hour at Quito's (generally always live music and even Quito himself playing, weekend nights he will play with his band there, The Edge), evening stroll to The Paradise Bar or down to the far end to The Candy Tide or Wedding Bar to just name a few. None of these places have a parking lot, just beach taverns.

                      Tingalayo is not so much a villa as a tiny, private hamlet of five buildings. Using locally sourced materials wherever practical, all the rooms save the bedrooms and bathrooms are open to the cooling breeze and the sound of the waves crashing to shore a thousand feet below. Whilst the overall feel of the house is distinctly Caribbean, Tingalayo betrays Asian and European influences aplenty. It is decorated and equipped with most fitting of fittings. Tingalayo sits on the crest of a hill, overlooking both sides of the "West End" of Tortola,; the views vary in beauty. The Guest House over looks "Drakes Channel" which divides the British Virgin Islands with the American Islands and looking directly into "Sopers Hole”. The Master Bedroom overlooks "Apple Bay" on the north side, a surfers paradise. From the main pool you can see the islands of St. Croix, St John and St Thomas so you can always see the sun setting into the sea. Closer to home, you can see the islands of Little Thatch, Big Thatch as Jost Van Dyke and just sometimes, in the distance, you can even see Puerto Rico. Quite simply jaw dropping is a fair way to describe the views. An infinity pool if ever there was one. It is hard to detect where the water ends and the sea begins. Natural materials like coral stone and dark hardwood add to the feeling of tranquillity. Ahead, you see the US Virgin Islands, St Johns, St Thomas and on a clear evening Puerto Rico. Below lie the British Virgin Islands, Frenchman’s Cay, Little Thatch and Big Thatch, set like precious stones in the turquoise Caribbean Sea. The five buildings extend some 300 feet, with lush vegetation running between and around them. A tropical mix of glossy palms and flowering Bougainvillea, it was the result of three years work by a team of local gardeners. With its four eating areas, Tingalayo allows you to take breakfast, lunch, dinner and even high tea in a different place each day. The courtyard of the The Great House is most guests’ favorite for evening meals, as it allows you to dine beneath the stunningly clear, starlit sky. Modern, controllable German lighting, a state of the art satellite and sound system and French-designed, Italian made bathroom ware, that provides a most welcome, Stark contrast to the untamed feel of the house’s gardens. With 3 bedrooms, a pool and stunning views of Drake\'s Channel, Peter Island, Norman Island, St John, Soper\'s Hole marina and beyond; the villa's design is centered around the view, which is breathtaking. From any room in the house you can see an amazing and unrestricted view of the water and surrounding islands. In the main house, the open plan Great Room and kitchen, which open on to the large pool terrace, are crowned by a beautiful, very tall vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, positioned around a central column. The lounge has wooden glass folding doors that can be opened or closed to allow for the trade winds to sweep in. The lounge leads onto a wrap around deck that as a 180-degree view of Norman Island, the national park of St John and St Thomas. For those warmer summer evenings the Great Room and Kitchen also have built in air-conditioning so as to maximize comfort and easy living year round. Leading off from the lounge is a hallway that leads to 2 bedrooms. In the east wing bedroom there is a double bed with built in wardrobes, air-conditioning, fan, a glorious view of Norman Island. In the middle bedroom there is a double bed with a single bed above it in " bunk style", which can quickly be turned into two separate beds to maximize sleeping arrangements. The middle bed room also is equipped with a built in wardrobe, air-conditioning and fan. The east wing and middle bedrooms share by a bathroom with an indoor/outdoor shower. The annex building is right next door to the Main House (less than 10 feet). The annex consists of a large master bedroom, with California king size bed and en-suite bathroom including a very tasteful outdoor, natural stone shower (completely outdoor!), perfectly positioned for privacy and still more great views. The area between the annex building and main building consists of a built in stainless steel BBQ area, which flows into the wraparound terrace and small dip pool. There is a large natural stone stairway leading from the Main Building and Annex down to the garden which hosts a lush grass area, rock garden and a small covered pavilion area with a Balinese style swing bench suitable to while away many hours admiring the view, taking in the cool trade winds and finding shade from the sun. The property is situated in a private and gated community. Due to the road being a private road, the area is very peaceful and quiet. The only noise often heard is the flapping of sails as the boats tack on the Francis Drake Channel. At the other end of the garden is a delightful, very private 2 bedroom guest cottage with equally breath taking views with its own heated plunge pool. Park your car in the carport and enter the villa's main pavilion right into the gourmet kitchen (so very well equipped for cooks with its gas Miele range, Corian countertops and stocked with colorful tableware for tropical feasts).                             We have just totally renovated the upper floor of our house that overlooks the bay. It is just a couple minute walk to the restaurants and shops at the beach. We now have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with large living room and full kitchen. The suite can accommodate from 2 to 9 guests and we price according to number and mix of guests as well as time and length of stay. If you have a larger group, please contact us for similiar accommodations that are close by. The floors are totally separate and private. The house is set into the hill and the cottage has parking on one side with one step into the front room and a balcony on the other side that overlooks the bay. One bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bdrm has 2 queen beds. There is a queen futon and a couch in the living room. High speed wi-fi is provided. Satellite tv in all rooms with a zillion channels. The flat is stunning with beautiful new tile flooring, hardwood cabinets, granite countertops, stainless full size refrigerator with icemaker and dishwasher. Bedrooms are private and each have their own bathroom that has new shower/tub, sink and toilet with plenty of space to set your washing up kit. The bedrooms have new split air conditioning units and all the rooms have ceiling fans. Everything has bee redone from the walls to the windows. For a small additional charge we will make available the attached laundry room that is equipped with new washer and dryer. The front room is large and spacious, fit for a crew briefing. You can step out onto the balcony and watch the sun slowly rise over the hill to wake the yachts that were lucky enough to get one of about 20 moorings in the bay the night before, or watch the sunset as mast lights start to twinkle like the stars in the night sky. A couple minute stroll directly directly down the road from the house and you are at the beach. Bobby's grocery is right there for provisioning and across the street is the world famous Quito's restaurant and tavern, Rhymer's (the Pink Palace) and Myett's Bar and restaurant is also less than a block away. There are several shops, restaurants and bar's along the beach front. You can rent snorkel gear and check out the sunken boat by the docks or check out the reef at the mouth of the bay. Paddle boards and kayaks are also available. Callwood's Rum Distillery is just a couple blocks away and should not be missed when there. There is always something going on in the evening from Quito himself and his band playing, the fantastic beach BBQ at the Elm Beach Restaurant or the great food and deck at Myett's and of course cold Carib beer or a Pain Killer for those who need one (or two). Great breakfast spots and most of all, friendly people who care. We can arrange transportation, site seeing trips, day car rentals, you name it, we can arrange it. Cane Garden Bay is considered one of the prettiest white sand beaches on the sunset side of the island of Tortola. It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from Road Town or West End Ferry and in a perfect spot to head in either direction to explore the island of Tortola. The apartment is separate and private and has a large sitting room and balcony.                               Nestled on Soldier Hill above Cane Garden Bay, Makere House and Cottage enjoy breathtaking views over the beach, surrounding islands and Caribbean Sea. With gentle breezes, tropical shaded gardens and a private 20-foot swimming pool, Makere House and Cottage represent the ideal retreat for two couples, or a family with older children, who want to vacation together but still have privacy and the space needed in which to relax, unwind and have fun. The villas have been built in the ‘Caribbean Style’ with wooden decks, blue shutter windows, white walls and terracotta-tiled floors creating a clean and simple environment. Both are very spacious containing a master bedroom with king-size bed, bathroom, living room, fully equipped kitchens and covered decks. Makere House is on the upper arrival level at the end of a short gated drive with ample parking for two cars. Makere Cottage, the swimming pool and sun terrace are on the lower level accessed by a short flight of lit steps through the banana trees. The signature feature of Makere House is its 12-foot wide wrap around covered deck and stunning views along the north coast of Tortola and across the sea to the US Virgin Islands of St John and St Thomas in the distance. The centre of the house is the open kitchen and living room, connected by a breakfast bar, providing the perfect environment in which to talk and relax together. The living room has a pull out sofa bed if required. The master bedroom opens onto the deck and has a king-size bed, its own en-suite bathroom and plenty of built-in closet space. Makere Cottage is just as spacious. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, day bed and plenty of closet space. The living room can be converted to a second bedroom with pull out sofa bed for a couple or two single beds for children. Both the bedroom and living room adjoin a 10-foot covered deck. The kitchen is fully stocked with all modern requirements and there is a large private bathroom. The swimming pool and sun terrace are on the same level as the cottage offering a welcome escape from the Caribbean heat and a lovely focal point for both villas. The sun terrace provides a spacious area for both sunbathing, barbequing and al fresco dining around the pool. You will need to hire a 4-wheel drive vehicle on arrival in Tortola. We can advise you on your travel arrangements, help you find the right car rental company and arrange for you to be met, either at the ferry terminal or airport, and escorted to the property. When you arrive at Makere you will be met by the property manager, who is also a neighbor, and provided with keys and a quick orientation before being left in peace to enjoy your vacation. We – Adam (43), Tina (44), William (13) and Alexandra (11) have recently returned to live in Hampshire, England. Adam was born on Soldier Hill in 1970 while his parents were living and working on Tortola. In 1999 he married Tina and together they decided to build a home on the same spot with the dream that family and friends could visit the island and enjoy holidays together.
