Escape the heat and humidity in this private, detached room with your own mini fridge. Guest AccessGuests will have access to 1 of the 2 detached bathrooms on the property. Feel free to come and go as you please. The large property is surrounded by fencing and an iron gate that remains locked. You will be given keys to the gate as well as to your private room. Interaction with GuestsI've been in Battambang since 2007. In the time since arriving I've married a wonderful local girl, had 2 children, started an NGO that enrolls street children in school, learned to speak Khmer, and have come to call Battambang my home. I love showing my home to others as well, showing off the small joys of Battambang, eating fantastic street foods, and enjoying a much slower pace of life.
I am an ex-pat from America and my wife, Sinuon, is Cambodian. We both speak English and Khmer fluently and love helping our guests with restaurant ideas, tourist plans and transportation arrangements. We will give you our cell phone numbers while you're here in case you need to get a hold of us. We are in and out of the home throughout the day, so feel free to knock on our door or give us a shout if you see us in the yard.
Sinuon and I would like to invite you to come experience Battambang and join us in our home! The NeighborhoodWe live in a safe, quiet neighborhood just outside the city. Once you turn onto our road, it feels rural. Our property is surrounded by vegetation and the sounds of nature are all around. Getting AroundBeing just 5-10 minutes outside the center of Battambang, it's a short Tuk Tuk ride into town. We have a handful of trustworthy drivers' phone numbers and for $5-6 roundtrip you can't beat it. You're also welcome to catch a ride with us if we are headed into to town, too.
