Haddon House is luxuriously furnished with modern amenities and surrounded by views of British Columbia's Coastal Mountains. The Dutch Colonial architecture has been impeccably restored, including a front entrance porte-cochere for the convenience and comfort of our guests. This professionally decorated 4 bedroom and 3.5 bathroom heritage home was also updated to offer guests all modern amenities such as hi-speed wireless internet, in-floor bathroom heating, pillow-top mattresses, and flat-panel televisions in each bedroom. The bedrooms are elegantly furnished with a king or queen size bed, plush armchairs and air conditioning. There are three bathrooms, two of which are ensuite, as well as a powder room (half-bath) off the main floor.

Our premises include a host of tourist information, laptop, printer and hi-speed wireless internet access. A pantry with bar fridge on the second floor provides a generous supply of cooled soft drinks for guests on the go . On the main floor, the dining and living rooms seat 8 guests comfortably, with a baby grand piano, handsome fireplace and beautiful garden views. Cooks will delight in the gourmet kitchen spaciously designed with a professional range, stainless steel appliances and a cozy breakfast nook. Enjoy the vast rear deck outfitted with a natural gas barbeque and plenty of seating area. There is ample room for on-site parking (4 vehicles) in addition to street parking, and the estate-sized gardens are lush and private.
One block from Haddon House lies Deer Lake - one of Metro Vancouver's best-kept secrets with its abundance of walking and biking trails, canoe and pedal-boat rentals and picnic areas. Also within easy walking distance is the area's cultural hub with live performances taking place year-round. Drive a short 7 minutes to British Columbia's largest shopping mall, Metropolis at Metrotown, or park your car for the day and take a 25-minute Skytrain ride into the heart of Vancouver's downtown and other tourist destinations.
For ski buffs, Haddon House is located less than a 1/2 hour drive from 3 local ski resorts, while only a 90 minute drive from the world-famous Whistler/Blackcomb ski resort.
Easy access to Vancouver's ferry terminals (Tswwassen and Horseshoe Bay) allow for day trips to Vancouver Island and Victoria if desired.
For guests arriving at YVR (Vancouver International Airport), Haddon House is approximately a 30 minute drive away.
The separate self-contained hosts' suite in the lower level permits the hosts to offer guests complete peace of mind including assistance with any issues (maintenance or otherwise) that may arise during their stay, while respecting the guests' privacy and exclusive use of the main portion of the residence.
For longer stays and for our guests' comfort, fresh bed and bath linens are provided at least once a week. Guests can expect the highest standards of cleanliness at Haddon House.
Our gourmet kitchen comes fully stocked with an initial supply of all basic food staples, including milk, cream, eggs, butter, sugar, coffee, tea, flour, breakfast cereals, spices and condiments (jam etc) as well as an unlimited supply of soft drinks. It is also equipped with stainless steel appliances, a Miele dishwasher, toaster oven, blender, kettle, coffee maker, coffee grinder, warming drawer and 5 burner gas stove/convection oven.
